Brazilian Lily

My perspective is a little different. I admittedly have never got my nose on Un Jardin en Méditerranée but I have Fig Ecstasy and this is definitely close to it. It's kind of weird since I can very rarely stomach fig perfumes. The fig note to my nose is burnt plastic, plain and simple. Fig Ecstasy is a very odd exception (probably because the fig isn't the star of the show) and now I have this one. The opening to this is beautiful. It was the biggest surprise in my ScentXplore box. A sample in an unusual little sleeve hiding a heck of a surprise. This smells natural, uplifting and zingy. Sadly, it turns very lily-forward after 15 min or so, and so leans too feminine for me I would think (then again, if I can wear Zoologist's Dragonfly, I can probably pull this off too). It holds very well on strip so it should do well on skin too. I'll definitely test it this spring but meanwhile, this is a great little introduction to this American house and makes me curious for more.

I am a sucker for fig fragrances. I had been looking to fulfill that fig shaped void for the spring/summer. The perfume starts green, truly like walking through a rainforest. The neroli is very prominent in the opening and this part lasts for about an hour on me. The sweet fig and red currant with its surrounding flowers peak through slowly until it is the focal point and the neroli takes a backseat. This dry down is stunning. edit: its been 6 months since buying this perfume and I genuinely love it. It is woody, fresh, citrusy sweet. It is so easy to wear and became a signature scent for me.

Such a stunning fresh scent! To my nose it shares some similarities with “Un Jardin En Mediteranee” by Hermes, but feels even more refined. I adore this combination of notes and how it wears on the skin. It opens with a fruity burst and then settles to a beautiful fig/lily with a pleasant and very gentle woody base. It is so wearable but in no way boring. It would make a fantastic signature scent but would especially sing in the hotter months. ☀️

I tested this on my hand in store, left the store and then came back 10 minutes later to purchase; it's that pretty. Beautiful fig note in the opening for me that quickly fades, but the red currant really lasts and I get wifts of the lily too. I find fruit forward scents to be hit or miss but this is bright and classy and lovely. Perfect for spring and summer.

if i close my eyes, i can imagine being in a greenhouse surrounded by lilies and dark green ferns. i agree with the rest of the comments saying it smells very wet/fresh, but the initial spray is almost a photorealistic tiger lily on my skin. its good for any spring or summer occasion, and its also really great for layering over any other marine fragrance :)
