Dange-Rose

If I hear once again that it is "ordinary" or "trivial" I swear I'll break a chair ...well I'm not really going to do that because they're mine, they're vintage and they cost me a lot of money😂. My girls, this is what I never thought I would see, a feminist rose, so if you are not a career woman and a strong woman skip the comment. For you ladies who are, do not take into account the evils that gossip about this perfume.....it is a superb perfume my darlings, a true powerful lady but in the same time a boss. Yes it's about Lady Oscar. Lady Oscar's character was not a king's mistress, or a courtesan, she was a knight, a woman knight a character created after Joan of Arc, if she would had a perfume she would not have used a strong, sweet, suffocating, seductive one as people see today the term "dark" . She would have used a green, woody essence, strong but discreet close to the skin, not mysterious but resounding, screaming: on your knees, and of course with rose because in the time of M. A, in France the rose was ubiquitous. This is the perfume, strong, green, slightly feminine but tough and the rose ... which is put there to be a final note, but however, don't panick, it is a cold rose that does not bother you at all, on the contrary it gives you a lovely floral note. If you don't like this, go to La petite robe noir, because this is the perfume of the ladies with swords in their hands. As for the notes steps who confused many here in the comments, it's exactly as it should be, if you look close, even in the ad clip, the model takes down her reinterpretation of that armor in steps, first the cape, the most masculine, then the arms and in the final she is dancing in rose petals, so is the perfume, it starts harshly masculine, becomes seriously sober and closes in a slightly floral throw like another feminist piece of jewelry, namely 5th Avenue. Is the metaphor for a strong successful woman who is a boss in the armor everyday but every night she come home enter the house and seductively kiss the love of her life. The box.....I rarely saw such care for the box, very good looking, stunning, unique packaging inside, you feel as if you open a treasure box And the bottle ... white weapon...I mean black... anyway a bottle that show it maintain inside the scent of a fighting woman.

One of the most underrated perfumes I own. Its secrets get revealed only to a few, is it my skin chemistry? I bought this perfume on a shopping trip with a friend. Sprayed some on back of hand.. Didn't like it, (the top note) and went away. Then some hours later took a sniff of the back of my hand and fell in love. I kept coming back to that soft veil of old rose, and an ever so slight spicy muskiness. I wanted to climb into it. Went back and bought it. Not expensive. Over the months it grew on me. Soft non shout patchouli and dark rose. Thing is.... on first spray it's hard to read! .. A strong graphite smell like pencil shavings. I think its the basil top note. Leave it for an hour and come back, on the skin its simply enchanting and delicious. Real essense of rose. Well that's how it is on my skin. The sillage isn't huge but more than most. If it's a powerful scent you want that throws out, this isnt it. You could wear it to the office without offending anyone. But I find it quite unique as an intimate perfume on the skin, I can still smell it 8 hours later.. I HAVE COME TO LOVE IT! and just ordered a second 100ml bottle. The bottle is beautiful, heavy black glass, with a ring of gold embossed roses and a dagger for a top.Love love love

Gorgeous packaging, amazing rose fragrance.

It's mono scent of roses with a basil at the background. Roses here are quite tender, cold and with dew drops. It's a real English scent, not sweety, very delicate. I think its more for daytime than for evening, because this fragrance is very official. The bottle reminds me of something oriental, but it is not so. This is a real English courtyard with plenty of roses, basil and other plants. Cap of this bottle is like a sharp rose thorn. But the scent is not thorny, spicy, cloying or something like that. No! It's a very beautiful, tender, floral fragrance. If you are tired of endless modern sweety scents, try this fresh and wondeful fragrance. You will not be disappointed!

The opening is fresh, green basil and juicy, ripe pear. Than the velvety, authentic rose and the warm, cozy wood and amber appear. Patchouli and freesia stay discreet but perceptible in the background. Pepper and magnolia are inexistent on my skin. Sillage is soft and longevity is moderate. I like this green, fruity, rosy, cozy scent a lot; it's not a candidate for the "love" list but one for the top part of the "like" list. The bottle is heavy and beautiful; the name is not justified IMO, the thorns of this rose won't cause any major damage. This perfume reminds me of Encre Noire Pour Elle, Lalique.

Stunning bottle and presentation, but a very conventional greenish rose-scent inside. Not bad, but devoid of any depth or surprises. Nothing "dangerous" about this rose-scent, which I'd even call a bit generic and boring. Bought this online because it was heavily reduced, obviously it did not convince other costumers either. But hey, I'm a collector of perfume-vessels... so it'll look beautiful, although I'll probably won't reach for it very often.

It kind of smells of roses, but it reminds more of Nivea's shower gel than usual rose perfume. I like the shower gel scent quite well, it's nice and cozy, but I would expect something totally different from this fancy bottle. Generally, a good smelling fragrance, not old-fashioned, not too woody or spicy. A little bit soapy perhaps.

Warm spring day - it is very discreet but likeable. A bit generic. Do not count on any special effects or darkness here. It's a hard-not-to-like rose scent with a fresh green top and woody finish. It's well-blended and well-behaved, good for any occasion. I wish it had a bit more personality, but I like it.

Bottle is to kill for and kill with. Scent is very deep green rose. It is is not the same as Tea Rose by Perfumer Workshop and Une Rose by Frederic Malle, but from the same group. It is bit bitter than those two. Hope no one breaks the chair :-)))

Unexpected rose! Delicate and soft like a creme, with a little hint of cayenne and the freshness of basil...Its the fewest perfume with rose that I can wore. Love it!

This to me smells like pencil sharpenings. Its a soft rose and herby note together epecially in heat smells like pencil shavings. I let my Friend use it too on an improvised girls brunch and she too smells like pencil shavings. Its not unpleasant tho! Not a great blind buy... First whiff is Pepper followed by a herby rose. The drydown is much nicer a soft english rose with hints of pink pepper. The first few minutes are pencil shavings until it drys in, its oddly satisfying.

A very unique dry-green-spicy rose. It does not evoke actual basil, fresh, dried or stems, but a woody green spicyness is prominent and gives a lot of character. Not one that I often feel like pulling off or find that easy to like, but I am a huge rose lover and appreciate this beauty in its moody and standoff-ish looking bottle. Maybe it does match the fragrance, just differently than expected. Regarding current comparisons, I agree there are only partial resemblances. I do find Dange-Rose a lot more natural than slightly futuristic latex dressed Toy Boy, while Rosa Purpurea is a much more straight forward lush red rose to me that I find easiest to wear by far and not that similar. Feerie Rose de Neiges and Rose Mignonnerie are light yet somewhat serious roses with a dry-woody undertone, not as green. The last one also has basil and is closest to my nose, but still, no dupes by far, and except for Toy Boy none of these are widely known. Thus I can close how I started, this is a unique one.

The perfume bottle and name make it sound like a “man eater” and darker feminine perfume. I do love the bottle but while the scent is nice it’s not dangerous in any way and doesn’t match the theme of the bottle? It’s a really nice soft rosey fragrance but could be a little more bold and dark given the name.

I get a sweet, slightly dark rose. It is nice. It is inoffensive, but has enough personality. A nice perfume for cold winter nights. Appropriate for 25+ ladies who are discreet but know what they like. Sillage is close to the skin, but it resists a shower.

Not bad as fragrance but i expected something deeper and stronger seeing the bottle.It somehow reminds me of one of first Fendi fragrances only that this one is less synthetic and more flowerfull.It's a safe rose fragrance,not noticeable in a crowd.

Hands-down....one of the most beautiful bottles and packaging I have seen lately !!!! I HOPE the scent can live up to the amazing presenation.....and that we can get this in the USA...duh !!! lol The notes seem promising.

mystery,roses,amber and patchouli.......sounds alluring and "dangerous"..bring it on. The bottle looks classy and something like Mata Hari would love cherishing.

This smells like a modern tamed version of the vintage beast mode rose by pierre cardin.
