1907

Collector's piece. I love this, but man this is an expensive pill to swallow. Presentation, bottle, aura, branding, and even the juice itself are luxurious. This is GOF's daddy, and rightfully a more mature fragrance with a definite distinction to God of Fire but early in its development will remind you of that dna. I hate factoring price/performance on a fragrance, but I MUST do it to this one. I mean, GOF will run you ~$200 for 50ml and this one will run over $400 for 100ml so you can barely justify price/ml. In this case, performance is all I hear about this one "beast GOF, this improves on everything GOF does" I honestly don't even know if I find them redundant to own. This DOES NOT have superior performance to GOF by a lot, and when I say performance I say specifically projection because longevity here is actually great ~8h detectable very close to the skin after hour-3. Not beast mode in any aspect! Scent profile is more involved/versatile than GOF. I dislike comparing them the whole time, but many do so. I am trying to steer you away from sticking to those comparisons and evaluate it on its own. This not a dupe by all means, especially once the top notes start going away - mango nowhere in the declared notes but there is a similar accord - but the opening few 30min or so could have that resemblance. After then, this is more sober, bit more masculine even, possibly an year round slightly fresh, woodsy, soft tobacco aromatic fragrance. Worth the experience and the spurge, but unjustifiable if you are just looking for "a" fragrance/tool in your wardrobe. Lastly, comparing this to either Limonata or Porthole is wild to me! The two smell similar between each other, but not to 1907.

Initially, I wrote this off for how overpriced it is. When I first tried it months ago, I immediately said "oh that's just god of fire, don't need it". However, I tested god of fire and 1907 side by side on skin recently, and I can say 1907 improves on god of fire in every way. Projection and longevity is better, it is a little smoother and better blended, and not that oud was that prominent in god of fire, but it isn't at at all in 1907 which for me I much prefer. There's also a slight added depth to 1907, coming off a tad bit richer. I would say you could wear this one pretty much year round due to that. God of fire is a little more airy, and a bit lighter, making it stick in that spring/summer category. I asked my girlfriend's opinion on 1907 and she loved it. When I've asked her opinion on god of fire in the past she has liked before saying it smells good, but never really gave an enthusiastic response towards it. So even to the "non-trained nose" so to speak, an improvement is noticed. It absolutely is not worth almost $700. However, it's starting to make its way to discounters becoming more affordable. Nevaeh has it for $460, which if you think about, god of fire is around $200 - $220 for a 50ml bottle. So for double the amount of juice you pay double the price, maybe paying around $40 - $60 more. If you phrase it that way, 1907 is 100% worth $50 more with improvements across the board. Managed to find a 65-70% full bottle for $350 on facebook, which I think is totally worth it. TLDR; Price excluded, this is undoubetly an incredible fragrance and an improvement in every way to god of fire. If you can find it for a decent price under $480 I think it's worth it.

I found the lemon too strong in the opening (Which I couldn't stand) and persists all throughout. The lemon does blend nicely well though - it's the only smell i can discern. Maybe i'm sensitive to lemon scents? Anyway, I did end up loving it now that i've owned it for a while now. I don't know if I tricked my brain, but it did work out for me because of the dry down. Speaking of which.. The dry down is a nicely blended warm, slightly sweet woody musk smell... there's a lil lemon. It's fruity woody. I honestly cannot pick out the individual notes apart but damn that dry down is GOOOOOOD. I do prefer this over God of Fire and Vulcan Feu. If the price of 1907 bothers you (it should, because 600+ for a bottle..? the helly?!): go with Vulcan Feu for most affordability. My only complaint: the price lol. I got it for a pretty reasonable discount. I suggest waiting for sales if you really want this. My all year signature scent. 10/10 Edit: dropping from my signature scent. it's nice but i dont think it's good on me- it seems it just doesnt work on my skin. I liked it on other people though.

This is no doubt a stunning and easy head-turner. The only thing that stopped me from leaving the store with a bottle in hand was that they were on pre-order - and if I am paying retail for a fragrance, I much prefer to leave the store with a full presentation bottle. Sooooo here's the honest truth- after a few hours of wearing 1907 my friend agreed that I smelled really good- but also reallllllly familiar - and she's not even into fragrances like most of us here on Fragrantica. So, for a non-enthusiast collector to clock the familiarity... that was really surprising and telling for me. 1907's opening is knee buckling however it definitely dries down almost identical to those ever popular sweet, woody, musks. If money is no object and you want a better blended less synthetic God of Fire style frag, 1907 will leave you pleased and smelling fabulous. Otherwise, 1907 does give dupe (but done better) energy. Edit: I bought a full bottle. The retail pricetag was no fun, however I decided that I’d rather have one bottle of 1907 vs. a few bottles of its screechy, synthetic counterparts.

As much as I enjoy the God of Fire creation I can't deny what everyone says about this fragrance "its the smoother version" "less screechy" etc because its what it is! Imagine God of Fire with less of the opening funk (that sometimes makes me move my hand to another bottle in my collection) I have to be really in the mood to wear it because of that whereas 1907 is a lot more of a dumb reach. Not sure why there's 6 thumbs down on the 'Reminds me of' of God of Fire, it can't be mistaken as anything other than a usual Boadicea enhanced clone. Overall: slightly more lemony, slightly less spicy, stronger performance and none existent screechy opening of God of Fire. If you like that you will also like this. Redundancy level is so high you won't need both so I'm considering where GOF has a place in my collection now I purchased this.. hmm! Would I buy: Proudly in my collection as of 04/01/2025 my first of 2025! Recommended: Its a lot more expensive than its counterpart, sample both and decide if the differences are worth it for you.

I tested this in Neimans and its damn good. The price is hard to swallow and that's a fact. I already have Porthole which isn't screechy like GOF so do I really need this? The answer is no. Do I still want it? Absolutely. Performance was great as I almost went nose blind with 3 sprays. I woke up the next morning and all I could smell was the beautiful deep dry down of this scent. @Itcannotalwaysbenight—I 100% agree with the comment noted in your edit. I'd rather sell or skip the okay versions of a loved DNA and get the grail. It's a higher entry price, but after you sample, buy/sell/trade, and go through several bottles knowing something like 1907 will only scratch the itch, you spend about the same as you did if you just bought this in the first place. Edit: I ended up getting a bottle. This will be in heavy rotation this summer.

A gentleman I know showed me that Boadicea is the ultimate clone house. Only instead of creating fragrances that are of a lesser quality than the original (like many do), Boadicea copies popular perfumes, and clones them to perfection. This is no exception. If you are familiar with God of Fire, as someone has previously mentioned, there is a bit of a screechiness to it. NM 1907 is a smooth, fruity, woodsy perfume with a very long trail. Very expensive, but worth every single dime. 100mL is overkill because you really only need 3 sprays at a time. Grab a friend, share the cost, and fight over the bottle, because it is amazing too, and the nest that it comes in is sublime. 10/10

A year round staple that just when I think it shines the most in cool weather, its just as impressive in the heat. To compare this to Vulcan Feu, Limonata, GOF is quite ridiculous in my honest opinion. This does its own thing completely. That lemon-berry, melon thing it does is quite addictive and it has a perfect balance of sweet/tropical/warm spicy aspects with subtle wafts of tobacco. A favorite and head turner in my collection for sure I'm getting tons of spices lately. The sage, cinnamon and pink pepper have been amplified creating an subtle ambery nature in the dry down

On smell only, easily one of my new all-time favorites. Fruity and woody, super smooth, and balanced enough to pull it off as a daily wear. It’s polished without trying too hard. The God of Fire comparison didn’t hit me at first, but after retesting at home, I get it—this is like a smoother, more refined version. It's way less loud and way more wearable. Do I love the price? Sure, don't. But the quality’s there. If it were cheaper, it’d be a full bottle and everyday status. If you love fruity frags, its worth smelling.

Absolutely beautiful, very similar to God of fire for first couple of hours but if God of Fire had way better quality and blend. The dry down though is its own unique scent only 1907 has, fruitiness tones down with amber and light spices for a comforting smell anyone with a nose would be blessed to get a whiff of. You can complain about price but I got this for less than an 100ml LV and its not too difficult to find. Id still pay 500 if i had to.

This smells phenomenal on my girlfriend. I'm very glad I made the purchase for her. It was her favorite out of everything we smelled. To me, this is a pink lemonade with an elegant musk and woody dry-down. If you haven't sampled this, you definitely should. This definitely leans feminine if you are unsure about whether or not a man could pull it off. Projection: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10

This is sooo good bro a luxurious refined tropical fragrance that’s perfect for summer nights out and super versatile, it last and projects like 10+ hours and the bottle is gorgeous, mass appealing and safe blind buy for men and women if you like the smell of candied melon with warm cinnamon, any age and any occasion, 11/10 my favorite fragance oat nothing bad to say.

Never smelled “GOF” but from what I’ve heard, Stephane Humbert Lucas was a customer at Boadicea for raw materials for his own brand. This DNA was given to Stephane Lucas which is how “GOF” came about, allegedly. Later Boadicea released their own take on this scent DNA and tbh don’t really care to try “GOF” when this smells out of this world.

Wow they finally got this in here lol it's been a minute since this came out. This is a better blended SHL God of Fire swapping the mango for lemon and increasing the quality from a mango juul pod to something that smells very natural and well blended. Performance is average tho (especially for the price). Wonderful for summer nights, 9/10

Yes, it’s expensive but I’m glad I have it. The dry down is my favorite part. It’s a Floral, citric, woody gem. I am usually unable to smell fragrances on myself without burying my nose into my wrist or shirt. This one radiates off of me without becoming cloying. I hope I can find in on the grey market in the future.

Smelled this the other day in Neiman as the bright red bottle captivated me.....divine scent for men who enjoy a bit sweeter, woody scent. Blended beautifully and price comes with quality. I'd take this over any Roja perfume any day, simply gorgeous!

Its giving me erba pura/kirke/GOF mixed. Its pointless owning it and it come very musculine on my skin. I just put mine on sale on ebay.

Upon spraying this on 1 card & God Of Fire on the other, initially I was disappointed. Not because of the scent, which is absolutely phenomenal but because it seemed to be 100% identical to God Of Fire, which I already own & enjoy greatly. I wrote it off as redundant right away. However, coming back to it a few days later & spraying both this & God Of Fire on separate hands, I noticed that they were in actual fact, surprisingly different enough from each other. God Of Fire is a bit more tropical & creamier, more suited for Spring & Summer while 1907 leans slightly more masculine with more noticeable citrus & spice & honestly feel it could be worn all seasons, even in Winter because it has a cutting feel that can push through both cold & warm weather. In fact, I could imagine this being very comforting & warm in the Winter. I am reminded of when I thought Tygar & Vibrato to be redundant to own both but then also later noticing differences between them as to where I eventually got both bottles. This is a seriously good fragrance & it looks like I may have to assault my bank balance eventually & add it to the collection...

I smelled something similar to this in the 80s when I was a kid. I think it was one of my dad's colognes. The same way fashion comes back around is the same way some scent profiles are modernized, then reintroduced to a new generation, so I think my having come into contact with this before is just a reality of being on earth for a while. Lol. With that said, it brings back positive feelings with its powdery, fresh, clean smell. It also reminds me of God of Fire. One thing that frustrated me about GoF is that I could never smell the mango, so the fact that a mango note isn't in this fragrance doesn't take anything away from the wear experience. In fact, I think 1907 is slightly more nuanced than GoF. Last, 1907 is beautiful and I'm amazed that the perfumer was able to take deep notes and make them wear light and airy. I mean, tobacco? Amber? Nutmeg? Nothing about the wear suggests that any of these notes are in the fragrance. How did they pull this off? Nonetheless, I think this is way overpriced and doesn't live up to the price tag.

This is essentially God of Fire with less funk and slightly better refinement. If you already own GOF, there’s absolutely no need to add this to your collection.....period. I get zero tobacco here. What comes through is amber blended with fruity nuances and a very polished musk. Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t pay retail or even standard discounter pricing. I picked up a low partial at a low price with full presentation, and that was the right move. Had I bought a full bottle only to realize it’s basically a GOF variation, I would’ve been genuinely disappointed. Spend your money wisely. You don’t need to listen to anyone online calling this “the best fragrance in the world.” Just picture GOF with less oud and fewer sharp edges....that’s exactly what you’re getting.

Fancypants aromatic and natural smelling fragrance with heavy hitting lemon (never veers into cleaning product, stays juicy and gourmand) and cool cardamom, spicy nutmeg and an attractive sweet mossy dry down. I can't pick out sage or violet. Bang on the unisex line. Haven't tried GOF or even its dupes so cannot compare. Reminds me of an Earl Grey tropical fruit punch with cucumber slices that I make in the Summer time which makes it feel Summery to me, but I think it would wear well in all seasons. Average longevity. Deluxe sample packaging adds to the overall high quality experience.

Definitely nicer than God of Fire but not by much maybe by like 20-30% but I didn’t really like that much to begin with. 1907 feels more “aromatic” to me and not as sweet and fruity and just as strong and in your face it feels all around I would say it’s pretty good scent wise but it isn’t worth it in the slightest to me I’ll stick to my cheap fire god dupe that I gave to my mom 😂

It pains me to say this but Vulcan feu is the king of this dna. It’s better than gof and 1907. I actually own Vulcan and 1907 and lets say my heart sank when I did a side by side test and wore them on skin. Vulcan pushes harder off the skin for the first 8 hours after that 1907 is finally stronger. I hope this helps.

I just received this a week or so ago and I was underwhelmed with the scent and the performance. I was influenced and decided to blind buy it. What was even more irritating than the disappointment was that I kept thinking that I have something like this that’s creamier and longer lasting and less expensive Dolce Melodia by Sospiro which I absolutely love and always get compliments when I wear it. I will try to give it another chance but have a feeling I’ll be reselling it. After ignoring this for a few weeks I generously spritzed some on Christmas Eve and even though it’s light and doesn’t project hugely it has a nice dry down. I did buy this deeply discounted but not sure it was worth the price tag. Will keep testing. Edit: ended up decluttering this underwhelming fragrance after I was randomly sent a sample of Opulent Dubai with another fragrance order. OD is an exact dupe ~ that’s how dupable 1907 is.

A clone of God of Fire at 3x its price, but the brand doesn’t disclose the notes it’s trying to replicate? What a great marketing tactic y'all are falling for with this glorified clone brand... it’s a clone brand for Christ’s sake, and the bottles are quite tacky. Just get Lattafa and Cia at this point and pay for a gym membership with the rest of the money; it’s gonna be better for your health, and you’ll actually get compliments for something that you accomplished instead of giving money away to Boadicea for something someone else did.

This perfume is good, but not 600+ good

Waited so long to try this, and was sadly disappointed. I think the hype around it built up my expectations. Overall, definitely not worth the insane cost. When I wear it, even after the dry down, all I could think was “this reminds me of Santal 33.” Le Labo’s Santal 33 is okay but I never expected this to smell mostly like that. I even asked AI why all I’m getting are notes similar to Santal 33 and here’s the breakdown: 1. Cardamom: This is a major common note. In Santal 33, cardamom is key to the initial spicy, slightly green opening. Boadicea 1907 also features it prominently in the top notes. 2. Violet: Santal 33 is famous for its distinctive, slightly metallic, powdery-green violet/iris accord. Boadicea 1907 explicitly lists Violet in its heart. 3. Cedarwood & Sandalwood (Vibe): While Boadicea 1907 lists Cedarwood, Santal 33 is built around Australian Sandalwood and Cedarwood. The combination of woods is a foundational similarity. 4. Musk/Cashmeran/Amber: Both fragrances share base notes of Amber and Musk. Boadicea's use of Cashmeran (a synthetic musk with a woody, spicy, musky aroma) likely bridges the gap to the woody-musky-amber base of Santal 33, which uses Ambrox and spicy, musky notes.

I found this monstrosity at an estate sale for the grand price of 12 bucks when it's normally $600. I'm glad because it smells like yassified shit. It's giving lemon Pinesol with strong essence of cedar shavings in a guinea pig cage and McCormick's vanilla flavoring. Price doesn't dictate what smells appealing. And NO. I am NOT interested in selling this. Although I am not fond of this my daughter loves it so I am not parting with it. Please do not ask.

On my skin- Top: lemon, violette, sage, pink pepper Middle: lemon, violet Bottom: spices, cashmeran and a bit of Lemon (again) Very lemony, not interesting at all.. Poor longevity -Pass

Boadicea 1907 (Neimum Marcus) 1907 is a fragrance with enough complexity and uniqueness that it called for me wearing it twice before I could articulate any thoughts. The complexity comes from what I perceive to be a spicy base layered heavily with a fresh citric top layer. The top has bite. The base has a powdery earthiness. Unlike many spiced fragrances, this does not have a particularly sweet, ambery, or juicy base. After looking up the notes, what stands out is the lemon on the top layer. It’s most certainly what gives the citric bite. Surprisingly it rides there most of the way through (unlike many citruses). Perhaps it’s the presence of the pink pepper that pushes it forward. In the middle layer, I do notice the florals of the violet, as well as the herbal addition from the sage. The nutmeg also gives a layer of woodiness/nuttiness. As the bottom layer starts to show, a benzoin, amber, and moss contribute to a dry and slightly resinous nature. They add a touch of warmth but never allow it to leave “freshie” territory. What perhaps makes this unique to me is how much of an acidic bite is able to coexist with the woody/spicy/earth nature of the base. I’d have to guess that the lack of a syrupy/sweet nature that often accompanies spices, is likely what gives way to this being a “fresh spicy aromatic”. After experiencing this, I can only be impressed with the creativity and artistry of the perfumer.

This is a tropical sweet tobacco fragrance... Tobacco here is the tobacco leaves type and not that smoky ashy one...it is the main player & the core of that creation... Starts with a lemony citrusy tobacco mixed with tropical fruity undertones which gives it a warm sweetness with some sparkling fizzy drinks effect... Within the first hour the citrusy opening starts to fade, with gradual appearance of little earthy woody powdery vibe mixed with tobacco... Dry down stage is dominated by fruity undertones mainly like sweeten black currant syrupy vibe mixed with smoky woods...sweetness here is very warm & dry, like burnt candy smell... Nice to see this finally added to the database. I’ve had since it was released at NM earlier this year and it’s seriously been my most complimented fragrance yet. Every time I wear it someone asks me about it or tells me I smell good. I’ve been tracked down and asked in a grocery store once and I’m sure anyone I’ve ever told what fragrance this was probably thinks I’m insane after they looked it up it and saw the price LOL. One person in particular told me “I know you are here because I can smell your nice perfume from upstairs.” The sillage is insane for sure with room filling projection and eternal longevity. Gotta be easy on the trigger with this one I’ve learned, you only need a few sprays but It’s been great for the summer weather as it’s a more tropical type of scent that will last in high humid temps but I’ll be curious to see how it wears in the colder months. This brand is a hit and miss for me, there’s a lot I haven’t been impressed with and this is the only one I own from them so far but I love it and made a dent in it this summer. I recommend fans of fragrances like God of fire to check it out because it has the vibe of that. It’s not exactly the same as GOF but in that same realm for sure, 1907 is far better blended though. GOF was way too screechy of a frag for me.

I spent 2 days downplaying this fragrance after blind buying it discounted, before I actually sprayed it. Just smelling it off the atomizer I was somewhat underwhelmed actually, as I thought it smelled pretty pedestrian off the atomizer tbh. Day 3, and Ive finally decided to test it with a single $67 spray from the bottle. Once I smelled it actually atomized onto skin, all I could do is laugh. Lol. I havent smelled god of fire, and dont really care about it one way or the other, but yeah, unto itself, 1907 is a 9/10 just based on quality & blending alone. I mean, quality wise, and in the air this just smells amazing, although it does dry down to a very common but still slightly elevated ambroxan style scent. But it transitions so smoothly throughout each stage of its lifespan that I cant really imagine there being much more of a crowd pleasing dna than this.

At first, the fragrance smells like strawberry. Sweet strawberry blended with peach and a touch of cream. It feels very girly, soft and carefree, with nothing initially suggesting any real depth. But later, the scent unfolds in a completely different way. A deeper peach appears alongside oud and something reminiscent of Kirke. Complex fruity-oriental blend where it becomes difficult to isolate any single note. The fragrance feels both sweet and slightly tart at the same time, with a subtle oriental mood. It is bright, intense and addictive, like an exotic fruit cocktail layered over an oriental base.

So I’ve had this perfume for a bit and I thought I could substitute it with Vulcan feu, and yes the opening for both are quite similar, the transition and the dry down is where 1907 takes the cake. Vulcan doesn’t come near the beauty of the dry down. Though pricey, I’d pay the £520 for this. I love this scent , especially when paired with fugazzi angel dust. There’s only a handful of perfumes that make me happy and this does. Happiness has no price

Obviously very similar to GOF but better. Like Volkswagen vs Audi, same family of cars even uses a lot of the same parts but the driving experience is significantly different. I think this smells closer Malachite than GOF, 1907 lasts wayyy longer tho. This might be the most omni wearable juice ever; suitable for anybody, any occasion, any time of year.
