Adventuress

I can see why this perfume's divisive, but it is a quality scent and doesn't smell at all cheap to my nose. I've been looking for a peach-forward scent for a little while. It came down to this and Peche Cardinal. I settled on Adventuress, as I can't really compare it to anything else in my collection and I LOVE the trail it leaves (probably more than when I stick my nose to my wrist). Main notes I'm getting are bright peach, not sickly sweet at all (thankfully), fresh ginger, bergamot and musk. The ginger and bergamot give the peach a tart edge on my skin, not unpleasant. For me the sandalwood doesn't particularly stand out, just kinda blends in with the other notes. It's a bright fragrance, but I wouldn't say it's a clean one. I'm definitely getting a metallic vibe, resemblant of my house keys (strange). For me, this one's best worn on spring/summer breezy days, when you can just bask in the sillage. :) This lasts a full 8hr work day on my skin, sweats off almost instantly when I'm at the gym though.

I was enamored immediately. Adventuress was a perfect match to my skin, and personality. I enjoy how the perfume is a subdued combination of fruity sweetness and ginger spice. I honestly can not accurately put into words what it is that I smell as a whole. It’s clean without being soapy, it’s fresh without being astringent like, there is a spiciness to it that melds into the fruitiness seamlessly so that it is neither irritatingly sweet or overwhelmingly spicy. It’s a wonderful spring/summer scent. I love it for what it is, a safe but very beautiful creation. Adventuress gives the wearer a carefree, long lasting fun scent to enjoy. Don’t judge by the name, it’s not very daring. It’s more of a flirty darling.

(This review is for Eau de Parfum) ADVENTURESS is lovely and pleasant on my skin. The combination of the sweet peach, aromatic sandalwood and sensual musk is beautiful in this fragrance. The natural and soft quality of this perfume reminds me of waking up in the wood cabin in the mountains and seeing the first rays of the morning sunlight. The opening is very aromatic bergamot and mandarin but unlike other fragrances with bergamot, it is not sharp fresh but velvet and smooth like fragrant oil. I can smell sandalwood aroma right away mingling with the bergamot and mandarin. The heart notes bring subtle and delicious peach scent mixed with the ginger and layered on the sandalwood. The dry down is elegant musk and sandalwood. The sandalwood is delightful in this fragrance. The whole composition smells natural and gentle but also so sensual. The fragrance is listed as unisex but the heart notes and the dry down are definitely feminine. As with other Boadicea perfumes I have tried, the sillage and longevity are medium.

Boadicea the Victorious is driving me crazy! When I think I have found the best smell of the House, here's another simply delicious! With fresh citrus notes but never overpowering that blend very well with peach; the ginger makes it unisex and versatile. Great in summer.

I'm not one for fruit, but I enjoy the way this lingers. I agree that it hardly feels akin to "adventure" in any light. It goes on very bold with the fruit, but I find a white peach and ginger that rests ever-so-softly as the upper lilt alongside the sandalwood.

top notes: earthy, soil, floral, minty, green, subtle middle notes: earthy, green, soil, wet, subtle base notes: just lighter now interesting but very highly prices, not worth the price at all. scent is mid too. 7/10.

I was hoping that this could be my alternative to Gucci Accenti, as a sultry peachy sandalwood, but it’s quite bright and perky with a laundry detergent, powdery cleanliness. The first few minutes is peach heaven but then it just becomes musky soap powder and reminds me of Amouage’s Bracken Woman but with added musk. It’s pleasant, very pretty, soft and feminine, so not as unique, luxurious nor avant-garde as I have come to expect from Boadicea The Victorious.

First of all the name is totally wrong.Adventuress is a very calm,delicate,safe,crowd pleaser scent.There is nothing adventurous in it.It's just too plain to be adventurous.The opening starts citrusy and spicy with bergamot and ginger.Soon peach joins in.It is a very fresh,cold peach,not creamy or sweet.The drydown is light,slightly fruity and generally weak!Lasting power is bad,almost 1h on me!Another unmemorable niche perfume which costs a small fortune.

barely there watered down sandalwood, musk and peach with lots of ISO E. shame on you Boadicea. This doesn't uphold your reputation. If you like subtle modern interpretive frags, go for it but this is not like the classic I expected.

I am under the impression that folks are paid to lie about the scents, notes and smells of these perfumes. I blind bought this on Ebay and so far I have to take an L on again another one. So far its 3 Ls by reading some of these comments which are false. This fragrance smells like a curl activator I used in the 80s when Jerry curls was rocking. No and No would I recommend a blind buy of this. I am going to have to rely on my nose first before I commit to buying anything. The hired and paid liars are costing me so much money thats a waste.

My oh my, I wish this fragrance was as beautiful as the bottle that hold it. But all I get is stinky and generic sweat, no peaches or ginger. And it's very cheap smelling not what a niche perfume should be. If I would of smelled it on another person I would of assumed they got their perfume at the flea market. And longevity is about 1.5 hours ( thank Mermaids! ) cause anything longer and I would of felt sick.

This one feels allot like a peachy rubber, something like vacuumed nylon but not metallic. Rubbery peaches with sandalwood.
