Agarwood Collection Inquisitive

The scent of Celtic enchantment! Inquisitive is the potent mix of fragrant spices, rare elements, and a smoky sweet base.. The juice is thick and has an imperceptible oily skim. The warmth of your skin releases its' sensual side - seductive as Beltane, bewitching as your lover's touch. Inquisitive is a dark, extravagant, resinous scent using many extraordinary and expensive natural ingredients. Not for everyday. But when you feel the beckoning of Druid invocations . . . Expensive, but well worth it. If you like opulent resinous fragrances, this is the summit. It won't disappoint. Great longevity, perfect sillage. A fragrance that is both complex and mystic. You only need a few drops, so a bottle will last almost forever. A more affordable option is Explorer by Boadicea the Victorious. It is lighter (relatively speaking) and less complex, but in the same family.

Inquisitive is an astounding formulation! It is part of the Agarwood collection by BtV. The OUD is most definitely present despite is absence from the notes listed above. This is a very dark, very earthy scent. If I had no list of notes to influence my choices, I would say this was made from OUD, VETIVER, LEATHER and INCENSE, with hints of TEA and TOBACCO. There is ZERO CITRUS, ZERO FLORAL, ZERO SWEETNESS. A remarkable and praiseworthy scent despite it's exorbitant price tag... it may just m=be worth the $$$ as it's quite long lasting. Rating: 9.5/10

A beautiful fairy tale like resinous powdery scent. The perfume opens with citrusy notes of bergamot and orange. It moves to a heart of galbanum and musk. The scent dries into a powdery woody base of oud and cedar woods. The simple lovely unisex scent has moderate to strong projection and excellent longevity. Like being in an ancient Celtic forest with elves and fairies. Enjoy!

It is not balmy, not woody - not in traditional sense at least. Green notes at the top are overpowering and quite empty, they do not add anything to this perfume. Smells green spirit, that's it. Some kind of green apple.

كبداية أحب أن أدون "كرؤية شخصية" أن العطر لا يحتوي على أي نوع من أدهان العود أو أخشابه. وأن مفتاح وكلمة السر في هذا العطر هي الراتنجات الصمغية التي لم يفصح عن هويتها وأنا أميل أن المستخدم هو خليط من عدد من الراتنجات الفاخرة وأخص منها بالتحديد نوعان هما: 1- بلسم تولو الشهير. 2- راتنج دامارdammar"": وهو راتنج ذو أشكال مختلفة تفرزها صنوبريات تنمو في شرقي وجنوب آسيا. ويفرز راتنج الدامارا على شكل مستحلب لزج طري ذي رائحة عطرية شديدة، يتصلب عند تعرضه للهواء فاقداً رائحته ومشكلاً طبقة رقيقة شفافة وهشة صفراء بلون القش. ويعتبر من الراتنجات المرتفعة السعر لأنه يستخدم في صناعة البخور الفاخر. والغلبة في المكون العطري ستكون لراتنج دامار نظرا لخاصيته الصنوبرية شديدة القوة والنفاذية. وأحد نقاط عبقرية هذه التوليفة هو الدفع براتينج الجالبانوم Galbanum: وهو راتنج صمغي كاللبان يستخرج من نبتة صفراء اللون ذو رائحة خضراء ثقيلة مرة بعض الشيء بحيث مثل الجالبانوم بخاصيته الراتنجية ورائحته الخضراء وسيطا سلسا لدخول النوتة الخضراء الطازجة الغنية بين ثنايا مزيج الراتنجات التي تملأ جنبات زجاجة العطر. وهذا المزج العبقري بين الراتنجات والنوتة الخضراء مع توسيط الجالبانوم أعتبره المفتاح الثاني لجودة وتوليفة العطر العبقرية. أما عن الانطباع السائد بوجود دهن العود ضمن مكونات العطر فأرجح أن يكون السبب هو اختلاط هذه الراتنجات والبلسميات بأخشاب السيدار الفرجينية المدخنة. أما زيت أخشاب الصندل الميسوري النادرة والفاخرة، فلقد سكبت منه بوديسيا في توليفة هذا العطر بسخاء وكرم بالغين. صحيح أن العطر بهذه التوليفة الثقيلة سيكون الشتاء هو الطقس الأنسب لاستخدامه. ولكن كنصيحة شخصية، يجب أن تجرب هذا العطر مع حرارة الصيف. فأغلب هذه المكونات الراتنجية الثقيلة لن تتبخر بسهولة لتتعرف عليها إلا إذا استخدمت العطر في درجة حرارة مرتفعة نسبيا. فأنا أنصح بهذه التجربة ولو من قبيل التعرف على حقيقة العطر ومكوناته كاملة، ومن يدري فلعلك تشاركني إمكانية وربما تفضيل ارتداءه صيفا. العيب الأكبر وربما الوحيد في هذا العطر سيكون حتما سعره المرتفع.
