(2nd review of this as I got hooked) I have to be honest I'm not a fan of this house generally speaking as the pricing of some of their releases is totally unjustifiable. Having said that, this one is more fairly priced and I heard a couple of great reviews so I got a tester. I really liked it at first and it really got me hooked after a second smell. This is a beautiful lavish fragrance, you can smell the rose but I would not really describe this as floral, it's hard to describe. A little sweet but not gourmand either. It smells luxurious and upmarket. Very unisex. I can't smell much wood despite it being describes as woody and I can't really smell any Oud at all, I'd imagine it is probably just trace amounts, especially at this price. The tester I got wasn't that strong but I have since gotten a 50ml bottle and it is projecting beautifully, not room filling or choking but you will definitely be smelled, ideal projection. Long lasting. This would make a great signature scent for a man or women. Very few reviews on Youtube, this one seems to slip under the radar. I'm glad!

Lots of countries know Polish pączki so I hope this will be easier for you to understand. This smells like the traditional wild rose jam we use for pączki. It's rich, floral, thick, sweet, very, very aromatic warm. I'd never wear that as a man - not that I have a problem with roses or florals, it's just so much rose and florals you really do smell like the pączki jam. Completely disagree with Noir de Noir comparison - not even close to the darkness of TF's composition - however, this smells way more quality and natural. If you do have a nose for that you can smell the indolic nature of jasmine and the skank of the oud in here - but it's really not much. I think it makes it more interesting and deeper, plus it's going to be even harder to catch in the air. Very high quality, natural smelling, a great composition, lasting and powerful, worth the price. Not dark enough to compare to NdN, hard for me to wear as a Polish man - smelling delicious and lovely like pączki jam will suit my wife very well though. Not office safe - strong.

Tested today and fallen in love! It is such a lovely, soft, elegant rose! This smells almost as a soliflore, but I see there is a lot going on in it. Aoud? No aoud. If aoud was noticeable, then aoud-hater bf would have killed it. Instead this was one of the very few times I put my wrist under his nose and straight he went: "Nice!" The rest of the notes are just so faint or rather well blended that the final result is all about rose of the most fresh dewy kind and yet there is substance here. Only after a couple of hours at least the woody musk comes out and it is just delicious and soft and lasted after a shower! Good, really good stuff, but crazily priced. Unfortunately. EDIT: ok, I'm less enthusiastic than first time, but I keep spraying this from testers because I like it, but it's not so convincing for shelling so many euro. The rose becomes too fruity. Anyway the scent is longlasting and lasts even longer on fabrics in the form of an ambered rose. Nice.

This is a fantastic rose-oriented fragrance; it's unisex, leans heavily feminine, but I have no reservations wearing this as a straight forty-something guy who drinks dark beer and lifts heavy weights. In fact, I've received compliments from several women while wearing this fragrance (at work, while running errands, etc). To me, Ardent compares favorably to heavy hitters such as Portrait of a Lady, Noir de Noir, and L'Homme a la Rose (all of which I also love). And Ardent is among my favorite fragrances from BTV (with Monarch and Defender rounding out my top 3). Performance is surprisingly good. Highly recommended at discounter prices; I personally would not pay full retail, though. 8/10.

I've had this for like ten years and can't believe I haven't reviewed it. It definitely gives Noir de Noir vibes, and I had NdN a couple years earlier. I get a ton of saffron in the beginning, which really distinguishes it from NdN, but both frags have rose, oud, and a creamy vanilla-like quality in common. NdN smells like it has just vanilla while Ardent smells more like beeswax and benzoin. Ardent is sweeter and has a jammy rose that's reminiscent of Turkish delight, whereas NdN never reminds me of any desserts. I think it's the saffron and beeswax that give Ardent the gourmand edge. I love both perfumes, but I personally prefer to wear Ardent. I gave my bottle of NdN to my brother.

Tested this in Selfridges and fell in love. My skin can often make perfume smell peppery or soapy but this remained true and beautiful. Could still smell it the following day. It has a sweet softness that just envelopes edging on sexy. The silage is excellent. Purchased it in winter and suspect it may be overpowering in very hot weather but it is my all time favourite. Ordered a number of samples from B V (most not to my taste)but more recently purchased Intense, however Ardent still my favourite. Although sold as unisex think this is a perfume for women.

Nome perfetto. E' una rosa turca ardente stupenda. Verde legnosa rugiadosa come Rose Ishtar, pungente e balsamica come Rose Anonyme AC, dolce e vanigliata come Brulure de Rose PG...Insomma una rosa complessa, elegantissima, travolgentemente romantica, viva. Non cremosa, un tocco di oud le dà profondità, un tocco di miele le dà morbidezza. Mi comunica passione e bellezza. L' immagino indossata da Catherine mentre cerca Heathcliff nella brughiera affrontando la tempesta.. L' unico, diciamo, neo è il suo costo stratosferico, ahimè... Comunque FAVOLOSA.

This is lovely and I can totally see why someone has noted the similarity with TF Noir de Noir. I love both fragrances. I do think though that NdN is a bit deeper and smokier. I think its the bees wax in this which gives this a softer feel. I dont think Ardent develops much like NdN either. The rose, vanilla and wax are very evident on the opening. The patch, benzoin, labdanum and oud give that wonderful sweet, woody and smokey warmth. Its like a lovely warm cardigan. Moderate sillage and good longevity.

Ardent indeed. There is a lot of passion in this note scheme. This fragrance gets straight to the point. A beautiful, seductive rose warmed by amber with a kick of saffron and coriander. While Oud is listed, it doesn’t have a prominent presence. Instead, it is paired with labdanum and patchouli to give the fragrance a bit of a dark aura. Rounded out with vanilla, barely detectable white florals and musk. Infinitely sexy and addictive. Quite similar to Tom Ford’s Noir de Noir, but much more complex.

I was looking for something buttery and a lovely woman at a beautiful niche perfumery proposed Ardent to me. After testing it for a day I went back and got it. So...here we are one year later... Definitely rose & beeswax. I see melted beeswax with crushed Bulgarian rose petals...cooking... It's comforting, enveloping, feminine, seductive...slightly classical. Extremely wearable and pleasant. It's a modern woman with the looks of a 40s diva.

I'm not high on Bodicea because I think they're basically a niche clone house. However, I am a fan of TF NDN and this is a great spin off of that. Although it doesn't have the awesome truffle note in the original, it does have a great amber and beeswax note. This is as good or possibly better than the OG. I still wouldn't pay full retail for this, but I can't deny it's a solid scent with decent performance. Scent 8/10 Performance 7/10

Ardent, This is plain one of the best rose oud combos out there, along with the super exclusive masterpiece Oudmanthus by Renier ( i had to order on his webpage) Ardent is all about rose at heart that melts into a delicate tart (vanilla) both Roses mix into the middle notes to cause an exquisite freshness, the drydown after two hours is tarty and vanillic, i dont know if they used vanillin or a vanilla absolute but is insanely good!

Quite easily the best rose fragrance I have got my nose on to date. I don't care much for rose dominate frags as much as I like the note in a composition. It's got to be well balanced, this was able to make rose the main note but turn it in to the best smelling rose frag ever! Perfect blend of spice and sweetness, it does lean a little femm on my skin but I don't care, I like it. I'll wear it!

To me, this is without a doubt one of the best sweet rose fragrances. The rose is smooth, rounded, and clearly sweet — a very well-composed and sensual scent. The notes that stand out the most to me are the rose, vanilla, amber, and honey, with oud sitting quietly in the background, adding subtle depth. A fantastic fragrance that unfortunately doesn’t perform as well as one might have hoped.

This one is incredible. I'm mostly not into feminine or floral scents but this one takes the cake and ties it together really well. It has immediate rose / floral notes but it warms up as you smell, letting the woody-vanilla and amber scents rise to the top and leave you wanting to smell more and more. Beautiful and one of my favorites, ever. 4.8/5

Wow. I own over 30 BTV but for some reason never bought ardent nor tried it. I finally got a bottle and can’t believe I’ve waited so long. For the lower end BTV this is a MUST. This is an ambered rose of wonder. Way more Amber than rose and for myself that owns many rose oud this is a wonderful change up. I approve!

Lovely scent; Noir de Noir made sweeter with a natural beeswax and shades of jasmine. Rounds out to a smoothly woody and vanillic base. Best suited for cool weather, packs a punch projection-wise and very long-lasting (10+ hrs). If you're searching for a 'different' take on NdN, I'd recommend trying this one.

Honeyed rose petals, soft saffron and inoffensive whispers of oud. Prominent patchouli here as well it kinda reminds me of the way its used in Tuxedo. Nuff said it's a banger. This could be considered one of Boadicea's "lower tier" frags from a price standpoint but it's for sure one of the best from house.

Wonderful fragrance! My wife liked it a lot which is surprising as she is quite picky regarding fragrances I wear. This is easy to wear. The rose is there but vey masculine and subtle. More so than other rose fragrances I've worn. This is very versatile. Can be worn on any occasion. Day or night.

It’s worth every dollar, I used to have noir the noir but this in my opinion it’s a better blend for that genre: floral/oriental ( yummy rose ). You will get complements: if you are shy just say thanks. Unisex, long lasting and perfect for first good impression or romantic scenarios.

Ardent is very similar to TF Noir de Noir. It’s beautiful, smells fantastic in cool air and is very versatile. I would use it interchangeably with my Noir de Noir, which I believe is a tiny bit better (maybe because I have it longer).

Classic and elegant yet simple with beautiful cool down scaling scent from note of rose, slightly citrusy with mild hint of saffron (beautiful blend with the citrusy scent) to kind sweet and waxy then settle to musk base note

Soft but beautiful. Gentle to the nose, the oud is there but it's hardly detectable. THe rose is soft and in right doses, it doesn't feel like "another rose scent". Feels a bit jammy, but I love jam, so I won't complain :)

Soft clean unisex rose fragrance fit for any occasion. Creates a pleasing scent bubble and has good longevity. Toned down version of TF Noir-De-Noir making it more acceptable and versatile. Shukran Habibi!

Softer and a bit elegant TF Noir De Noir. Good projection for about an hour. Modest overall performance but lovely fragrance profile. Unisex and very pleasant. Shukran Habibi!

As a male who is pretty anti-rose fragrance, this one is just pure class and a evokes luxury and elegance This one has a very addicting dry down that I can’t stop smelling

Agree that performance on this one is a bit disappointing, especially because for me it's at its most beautiful in the dry down.

A BETTER AND MORE REFORMED /SOPHISTICATED VERSION OF TF NOIR DE NOIR. IF YOU LIKE TF NDN, YOU'LL LOVE THIS.

This is a love child of Noir De Noir and l’au Capital, but with much better performance than both. Love it.

Sweet honeyed spicy roses. Has this tingling icy smell too. More feminine. Prefer heavier patch rose.

Came here because I own this and I thought it was okay in the past, and I got a sample of xerjoff Via cavour 1 and it opened so sweet and fruity I put it in the no bag. On the dry down Via Cavour 1 was very floral and the sweetness dried down. I sprayed Ardent on one arm and Via Cavour 1 on the other arm and this is so much more floral and beautiful. It has Jasmine and Hedione along with the Rose and Hedione is Methyl Dyhydrojasmonate, which is in the jasmine family, so this is very floral and it totally overpowers the Xerjoff on the dry down. Some people may think this is feminine, but Oud in any fragrance makes it automatically masculine. Very good quality Oud that had time to steep, so it's sweet and not fecal. Very nice slight patchouli and normally I don't like patchouli because of the BO hippies. This has great projection and isn't too sweet to make it sickly. It is really good quality. It opens up very barbershop, but it passes in 5 minutes. This smells very rich like if you have a lot of money and are comfortable with yourself and just want to smell nice. Very good quality Rose in this. It really is delicious for the price.

I blind bought this one after finding a good deal. I was expecting a rose-forward fragrance, something in the vein of Radical Rose or ATH Onyx Extreme. Instead, it turned out to be more white floral-leaning, with the rose sitting more in the background. The scent is undeniably high quality — soft, elegant, yet still projects decently (it reminds me of 5 stars hotel room. Soft, clean, expensive). It leans more feminine to my nose. While it’s a beautiful perfume, it wasn’t quite what I was after, so I ended up gifting it to my wife. Personally, I was looking for something between Roja Amber Aoud and LV Les Sables Roses. Ardent feels like a safe, all-season fragrance. The jasmine note adds versatility and mass appeal — just go lighter on the trigger in warmer months and it wears beautifully.

Wow, quality stuff! Atomic Rose who? I mean I never smelled Noir de Noir but this is the best rose perfume I have smelled so far. I can never understand the popularity of Atomic Rose as that perfume is so synthetic and screechy to my nose but this one is smoooth and so well blended. The sweet beeswax/honey note adds body to the rose and hallelujah it did not turn fecal on my skin! I hate patchouli but somehow works here. And I dont really detect the oud, but i am not mad about it. Definitely very middle eastern vibe but smells so rich! It is not as potent as some reviews make it sound. Low to moderate projection and longevity on my skin. Edit: This is straight unisex to me. In the deep drydown, I even think it leans masculine.

Ardent is haunting me. I dabbed a few drops in my wrists a few days ago and some rubbed into the leather strap of my watch. I'm still catching wafts from it! It catches me totally unaware and it makes me want a full bottle. I don't find this rose particularly feminine, it's a chiaroscuro of bright florals and deep woodsy/sweet notes. The drydown is magnificent, chewy with beeswax and creamy woods. Not sure it's worth the money they are commanding, so will look for an unwanted bottle first before I inevitably surrender to a full price purchase.

Beautiful rose centered Floriental. The perfume opens with the central Turkish rose. At first it is surrounded by slight hints of coriander and saffron. Then one can detect hints of beeswax and jasmine. The perfume settles on a powdery bed of ambery patchouli surrounded by slight hints of oud, vanilla, benzoin, labdanum and synthetic musk. Not unique but very beautiful and natural. Unisex perfume with excellent projection and longevity. Enjoy!

Nice vanilla rose slightly oriental fragrance. I absolutely love this style of fragrance but this to me has already been done several times and better by other brands. This reminds me a lot of Arabian Oud's iterations on rose and vanilla without doing anything exceptional to stand out

Same sort of vibe as Noir de Noir or Onyx by ATH. The oud is quite gentle and not too animalic or medicinal. Good scent and quite strong but probably a bit redundant if you own anything similar. 7/10

The smell on me is beautiful, honey and rose. However it fades in 2-3 hours. I have a bottle of Imperial, that one lasted 10-11 hours.. Wonderful scent, worth sampling but no longevity on me.

Lovely scent but NO potency😭😭😭😭. 0 projection!. I'm only keeping solid performers in my collection now so this has to go. Full 100ml bottle for sale or trade available. Uk only

A classic Amber and rose fragrance but well blended. A fragrance that I will always like to have in my collection and use on occasion

Dark, sensuous and lustful rose🌹oud. Neatly spiced. Amberous or honied. Refined. Very nice and gets better as it wears.

Sweeter take on a high quality rose fragrance. Has a good longevity.
