Consort

Underperformed, while still delivering a beautiful fragrance. A toss up for many when it comes to being worth it for the performance. Aventus, I read about a little while ago, is not a profile that is to be strong (by design). This represents that in its totality - smells like the king with an added floral-aromatic touch with very moderate performance, with okay longevity ~4-5 hours and projection is medium-weak. Masculine, timeless, and might just be what I settle to with the dna - especially given I got a deal on it. Presentation and branding, even exclusivity, are what you are getting with the brand. This is certainly not original, but smells of great quality and sophistication, like Aventus does but this honestly something I prefer over the original. Simple well done is how I can rate this, nothing special, but a great alternative to Aventus if you don't want the smoky nuances - this is honestly a bit more wearable in the heat than Aventus (which by itself is a great wear for the heat). Not my favorite, nothing groundbreaking, but kinda what I wanted with the Aventus DNA, even more so from a house that I'm really coming to appreciate more. Just a very good fragrance very redundant with other Aventus-inspo fragrance, but surely one of the best at using the DNA.

Yes, Consort by Boadica has very much of an Aventus vibe, but it doesn't stay true to Aventus until the end; it starts to deviate about 15-20 minutes in. Where Aventus leans a lot more masculine, Consort is unisex (at least for me). I find Aventus to be extremely sharp and overpowering, dare I say synthetic, although that could just be the pineapple which can often be very piercing. Consort, on the other hand, smells more natural, and it is a lot smoother with a softer and cleaner drydown. This is also a gorgeous layering fragrance. I layered this with Nishane's Ani (2:3 ratio - 2 Ani; 3 Consort) and it was beautiful. I layered it with Bianco Puro from Terenzi and I was in heaven (3:2 ratio - 3 Bianco Puro; 2 Consort). My next layering will be with other Boadiceas--I'm thinking Chariot and Envious, possibly even Hanuman (with a 3:1 ratio)--just a light spray on top like a sprinkle toping but I haven't experimented that far yet. I knew I needed to have this in my collection after trying a sample, and I'm so glad to have bought it. 9/10 for me

Literally bought this because of the bottle. The juice is very close along the line of Aventus (and thus its dups). Lovely though it may be, it can be boring after some time, so today I layered it with Chariot.

Smell like Aventus without the pineapple

Received a 1ml dabber of this from a generous decanter. I have yet to smell it in the air, but on my skin it definitely reminds me of Aventus. I would say this lacks the smoky pineapple that makes Aventus so distinguished and is more floral and muskier, perhaps a bit more unisex. This was a very enjoyable wearing out and about at work today. The price tag suggests bringing it out for special occasions only, but this is easy enough to wear everyday. I will be getting a decant of this and probably be wear it a lot the upcoming months. Sure, it's very similar to "The King of Fragrances", but I think it does enough of it's own thing to draw me in. 8.5/10

This is a lovely aromatic citrus without being overly sharp, the woody notes I find soothing and grounding. I often stay away from citrus fragrances, sometimes venture into aromatics, this is a perfect blend of the two with the spicy woods settling gently on the skin and round off the fragrance. I don't feel that Boadicea need to clone any fragrances and I don't believe that that have done so here.

Fresh green and citrus perfume. As for me this fragrance is more for men. For those who like vetiver. And it is definitely similar to Aventus by Creed but they are not 100% the same. To my opinion Aventus is more warm and sweet maybe because of vanilla, Consort is more dry and woody...

Guys come on. It's Cedrat Boise at a higher price. Paris Corner Cedrat Essence smells the EXACT same. I swear, and it's like $30. I think Boadicea is nice, but this particular fragrance is not unique or as beuatiful as the price tag would suggest.

Had no intention on leaving a review for Consort, I lost interest in this profile a long time ago. But there was a period where I was on a hunt to find the best Aventus-like frags out there. All I really want say is this has the best opening compared to everything I've tried. IMO the Parfums Vintage, DUA, Bond no 9 SOP & their blue and yellow bottle, most clone companies - they all don't come close in the Aventus opening, and honestly pineapple smells more like rotten pineapple than pineapple. Hearing so many youtubers saying stuff like SOP is exactly like Aventus makes me wanna 🤮 Consort is very well done. I'm only 30min into it so hopefully this ride doesn't fall off the tracks lol. I will also say I'm not an Aventus hater, I'm basically an Aventus hater for how they put out garbage for several years now with poor longevity and performance. I have said many times that Hacivat is the new King (that Hacivat pimp slapped the crown off Aventus's head lol). Only minor issue is Hacivat doesn't have that freakin stellar opening like Aventus, but everything after that it wins. Wow, I just can't believe I didn't try Consort years back. This might be the best Aventus clone out there, and it really has me questioning if it beats what Aventus is putting out there for the past 5 year. It's absolutely worth a try if you're currently on the Aventus train....but, and I mean BUT, with the pricetag of Consort, I don't think I would've been interested with paying over $400 for it tbh... however if u can find this severely marked down, I do think it's potentially the most worthy choice 👍. Hope this helps any of you on that train.

Very close to Aventus in the opening, more floral in the mid and less woody in the base. Maybe, Elysium like take on Aventus? Has a higher than usual percentage of naturals (just like Aventus or Elysium) not just aroma chemicals like Hacivat or other cheaper Aventus-wanna-be's. Great presentation too (bottle, the box is very average, just like Creeds). You might like it if you prefer pineapple/fruity batches of Aventus with softer drydown. As this is priced at Aventus levels, I think it will be a hard sell unless you like those specific qualities of Consort. Must try if you like Aventus like scents, then get your own judgment. Performance is similar to Roja and Creed, my Aventus is 2016 batch and this does not perform better.

This fragrance line has been a challenging one for me, until Consort. I find it to be a beautiful balance of the fresh male leaning green/wood/aromatic scents and the classic feminine white floral scents. The opening is very reminiscent of Nishane, Hacivat...one of my favorites, Creed Aventus or Comme De Garcon Amazingreen but the dry down becomes such a pretty floral and that is where it lands for several hours. If I were to purchase one FB from BTV at the moment this would be the one.

Basically, a citrusy and unisex version of Aventus. As a huge fan of Boadicea I'm pretty disappointed, especially when you take into consideration the price for this. If anything, it reminds more of Montblanc Explorer with its vetiver/ambroxan base and bergamot up-top. If you want some really exciting niche frag in Aventus-like genre, try Moresque Sahara Blue. Will thank me later.

The opening of this fragrance is an exact copy of the early additions of creed Aventus, pineapple and all regardless of what the notes say. I will comment further after I have spent some time with us to see how it performs

Pineapple, tobacco, moss, musk, ambroxan, sandalwood, Iso-E, green citrus, soapy vetiver. Definitely their take on the Aventus DNA. Very nicely done though, woodier and slightly darker take which I like.

I was pleasantly surprised. Consort smells really good. To me it smells more like creed aventus absolu. Just smoother very well rounded fragrance

Call it what it is, an Aventus clone. A damn good one, I admit, but it’s too close to argue it’s a stand alone fragrance. Let’s just get real.

Agreed that this has borrowed liberally from the aventus dna. Nice fragrance, but too close for my nose.
