Decadence Pure Perfume

I'm lucky enough to have a bottle of this incredible fragrance. Firstly, let's deal with the elephant in the room; Yes, its divine. Yes it's deep and perfectly blended and yes it's rich, opulent and magnificent beyond the norm. But the PRICE! It's crazy, truly offensive to ordinary folk. There are many wonderful perfumes in the world some of which are amazing considering being over 20 times cheaper than this Boadicea offering. I'm sure the ingredients are premium, absolutely perfect I'd hope and the process of creation is carried out by a supremely skilled master of some kind, on top of that it's a Harrods exclusive, but c'mon. I'll mention how I came by my bottle in a bit! Anyway, I can think of a lot of things I could do with the amount this bottle of true affluence and luxury costs! Ok, the scent; Having said my piece on the availability and value, It's bloody mind blowing. It's just exquisite, the perfume of the royal, rich, distinguished and privileged.....of which I am none of these, that's for sure! The notes are blended in a way that all are identifiable but mange to seemlesly weave in and out of eachother. It's sorcery of some kind, no doubt in my mind that this is the product of the supernatural. The saffron, raspberry, pepper, apple, magnolia and leather are truly majestical, it's actually hard to describe . Then the Cambodian Oudh and woody note just effortlessly give the whole potion a structure to wrap around. Emotionally, it feels like one of those rare times in life when you are truly and completely happy. Everything is going great, perfect even. A memory for the ages and then on top of that you win the lottery or meet the partner of your dreams. I'm reminded of a state of being which I've only achieved a few times on my approx half a century on this planet. It's elation and happiness interspersed with a timeless, ageless beauty. Ephemeral is a word that best describes this perfume. It really is that good. One of the few true material objects I've ever experienced that I will never forget. I know that sounds pretentious and over dramatic but I'm just laying my cards on the table. If you don't want to feel dejected or miserable in some way, please don't bother experiencing decadence if you dont have the means to acquire a bottle. Trust me, you'll want a bottle and may consider nefarious activities to raise the required funds! Seriously, it's like driving a Ferrari for an hour and having to give it back knowing you'll never be able to ever have that pleasure again! Or having an just one evening with a supermodel who is a secret, hedonistic nymphomaniac. 😵💫. I only say this as Decadence is way out of my league financially, I only managed to come by a bottle due to an amazing piece of good fortune. I'd never be able or would consider paying anything even close to the RRP, no matter how absolutely special it is. So, a friend was generously gifted a bottle but unfortunately for them at the time also needed a cash injection, a deal was made and we both got something we desired. I visited another friend at work during my first wearing, I walked in and they immediately said they could smell me from over 5 metres away. Not overpowering in any way, but a beautiful, bewitching and encapsulating scent. Even as I drew close they explained it never felt cloying or unpleasant, just wonderfully fragrant. Although, one of their colleagues walked in and stated that there was the most beautiful smell of raspberries everywhere, good nose! It lasts all day, 12 hours+ and projects at a good few metres for 2-3 hours minimum, in fact it projected until I dozed off. I awoke after a days wear and nights sleep, around 22 hours later and I could still pick it up easily. Others could pick up the scent for many hours after application and the trail I left was apparently mesmerising. It doesn't feel or come across as strong or too much I'm told, such is the quality of the product. I actually only sprayed about 4 or 5 times, that was more than sufficient it appears. Who wears this masterpiece; Anyone who can afford it! Decadence defies age and gender but rather defines itself by the exclusivity and price! Right, so if you are lucky enough to be able to have a bottle then I'd say yes it's incredible, a real epic, artisanal piece of craft. But honestly, is any fragrance no matter how wonderful truly worth £1400! I guess that's for the individual to decide, no judgement here. The price of magic ✨ I suppose! I'm a little apprehensive to wear it often, I'll savour it for special occasions and the very best of times as I know I'll never be able to experience it again once it's gone. 😆

The latest super exclusive release from Boadicea is this warm enveloping floral gourmand centered around an enchanting magnolia note. The perfume opens with a spicy fruity blend of raspberry, apple, saffron, pink pepper and coriander. The heart is all magnolia. As the perfume settles into its synthetic woody musk base, one gets notes of leather and oud in the mix. The female leaning perfume has enormous sillage and projection and very good longevity. A couple of sprays should suffice. The perfume is clearly intended for an exclusive Middle Eastern centered market and without the lovely emerald crusted bottle, it would be a fraction of its price. I agree with @rbalkris here. This fragrance has an inviting, freshly spiced fruitness, a pleasant magnolia note, and a musky/woody/leathery base. However if it wasn't for the bottle I don't see the quality of the fragrance demanding such a high price point. Fragrances like ardent, bodacious, and harmonious offer much better value for the price
