Divine

This is the perfect luxury soap smell. I've always kept soaps in with my clothes and have wanted this scent as a fragrance, and then I discovered 'Divine'. The violet is prominent, almost a little too prominent for my liking, along with Iris (although not listed) a little jasmine and the aldehydes following a close second. Apart from these, there leaves nothing more detectable apart from fresh, clean, soapy cleanliness. Unlike some floral aldehydes, Divine doesn't smell vintage, it's just fresh modern, floral and clean. It's almost like the modern-day great granddaughter of Lanvin's Arpege as it's just so easy to wear for any occasion, season or outfit. I have others from the Boadecea range and adore the quality, longevity and silage but unfortunately 'Divine' stays close to the skin and only lasts 4-6 hours (lasting longer on clothing than skin). I love this fragrance but wished it lasted. My search for the perfect luxury soap scent continues. Edit: I love it so much, I'm keeping it! I just keep coming back to it as it's beautiful and so easy to wear for any occasion. I now spray it on my clothes as it lasts a long time that way. Update: I've found myself coming back to this fragrance time after time as it's so easy to wear, clean, vibrant and beautiful. I believe this means it's become my signature, for now... Another update: I still keep coming back to this stunning fragrance. I absolutely worship at its alter. I usually grow tired of scents and eventually fall out of love, but this I grow more fond of with every spray (and it takes around 8-10 sprays to fully appreciate - then it lasts all day). It's so wearable, fresh, beautiful, not stuffy nor vintage and 100% non offensive. I am Divine by Boadicea The Victorious's biggest fan.

This is a very light, feminine, subtle fragrance. It does smell soapy, but it's a pleasant kinda soapy, something you would like all your clothes to smell like. I'm not doing it justice by saying that though, because it does smell like a beautiful perfume. Very lovely and innocent. I totally missed the illusion of sparkling wine though, but that could have been just me. I'm sure no one could ever dislike this fragrance, in that way it is indeed divine. I would not call it unisex, if a man smelled like this I would start looking around for the source of this delicious scent and never guess it was him. It smells clean and airy, something I would wear in early spring. I've also recently tested Intense by Boadicea the Victorious which is totally different, but they both have a great quality and uniqueness to them. Makes me want to try more of their fragrances!

A beautiful fragrance,sophisticated,mysterious and extremely clean and modern. A perfume for those who like to stand out. Personally i like it, it's just what I was looking for... the sillage and longevity are moderate! Very beautiful! Sillage: 7./10 Longevity: 7.5/10 Scent: 9./10 Overall: 9./10

a violet musk -- like Meteorites with lots of musk; soft for a Boadicea but still can fill a car and asphyxiate you if not careful

The jasmine here is pleasant which is great since so often I find jasmine too overpowering for me. I think the violet softens it a bit. The fragrance does have a sweetness to it giving it an innocent feel. I know Boadicea considers it a "bold" & statement making fragrance but I just don't feel that way about it. It's not a scent I equate with power - at least not in the traditional sense of how how you consider something bold as in your face and asking to be noticed. But this fragrance has it's power but more on a one on one, more subtle type way. I quite like it through the dry down. I don't get too much sandalwood or anything spicy, just the sweetness of the flowers continuing. I am unsure if I'd call this truly a "unisex" fragrance. I think it's more feminine oriented due to the strong floral element, but of course, with the right body chemistry and personal taste, it might just be what a guy is looking for.
