Envious

There’s a note in the opening of this that’s not my favourite (whereas Heroine is gorgeous from the first second) but after five minutes it’s absolutely delicious. Yes, white florals and musk have been done a thousand times, but in this case the blend is so smooth and seamless and just delightful. Sometimes when I’m reading a book I get the feeling I’m in really good hands with the author and I just smile, and that’s how I feel with this house. The new miniature bottles for the 10ml sizes help, they’re replicas of the full-size bottles and so cute. Plus the 10mls cost exactly 10% of the price of the 100mls. I wish more houses would do this - I don’t really want full bottles of most scents, only a very few absolute favourites, but love to have a wide selection of “travel” sizes so I can wear a different one every day if I want.

Envious deserves the praise its receiving and is definitely on my 'want to buy' short list. I've worn it 4 times now and it consistently wears as a gentle, soothing floral. The opening is my least favorite phase, its a bit too 'chemically citrus'. So don't judge this scent by a 10 second sniff on paper. It hits its stride after the top notes fade away and becomes a lovely oriental floral. Longevity is average, as others mention below. But won't be an issue if you are wearing this for a night out. This house continues to impress.

I really don't know where people get the idea that this is a feminine scent. I own around 10 BTVs, including both Blue Sapphire and Blue Sapphire Supercharged, and this is one of my favorite ones. I got a decant first to test it since I'm seeing here in Fragrantica almost everyone says this is a female's scent. Brother, this is a very beautiful fragrance for a man, very addictive and versatile smell, trust me.

I literally crave this fragrance. This is one of the most beautiful jasmine centered perfumes that I have come across. I struggled with Alien and Rouge Malachite which are both beautiful in their own right- however, Envious is the “Goldilocks” of the bunch and gives the most beautiful signature-scent-worthy fluffy, white floral cloud.

This is simply gorgeous. Decandent to my nose. I can not stop smelling it. Sweet, creamy floral with a hint of freshness on top which quickly discipates. Ever so slightly giving hints of tropical fruits but not overdone. Sits close to the skin whilst it last,.longevity could be better. But it's a love for me.

It is a beautiful fragrance. A kind of new experience with the tuberose to me. It is delicate here, a bit like spicy . Very enjoyable scent , especially for hot weather. Develops and changes on the skin . Creates a fluffy white cloud/cocoon around you. Very wearable and positive mood supporter.

This is Rouge Malachite! Both great! Both expensive! Pick your poison! White floral, tuberose bomb! Very pretty! But nothing groundbreaking.

Apparently, I have a type! I have a full bottle of Quattro Pizzi and a decant of Rouge Malachite, and I recently got a sample of this because the notes looked good! In all seriousness, as soon as I sprayed this sample I ran to Fragrantica to see if I was the only one who thought this smelled just like those. And of course I sprayed them all to test them side by side. Envious sits in the middle of RM and QP. It’s not as warm as RM, but it doesn’t have the slight green aspects of QP. Performance wise, QP projects the most, RM in the middle and Envious sits closest to the skin. To me, Envious also doesn’t have as much depth as the other two- it’s a little flatter on my skin. I like this the least out of the 3. I don’t find Alien to be similar to any of these fragrances. They might have similar vibes, but the florals are completely different. To me, the jasmine in Alien is much sharper.

This is one of the most beautiful floral scent i ve ever had. Even though it has a feminine undertone, on my skin has a coconut soapy vibe which is very soothing and relaxing. I like super masculine scents but also appreciate a quality floral composition. Very unique and smooth scent. Although it's just my first wearing absolutely love it.

First impression: Everything the guy below me says is accurate although I cannot attest to the part about women's compliments, as I literally just put this on skin. Jasmine, ylang ylang, lots of tuberose, layered over a creamy bed of musk. It smells good but it also smells like a million other women's perfumes.

Miranda Priestly!! A female-figure with power, elegant, and unbothered by other people's opinion is immediately present in front of me. Perhaps, it was just an imagination. Until Miranda gazed upon me with the look whether she could trust me, or not. I cannot wear this, but my mother-in-law perhaps could.

WHAT!? It's exactly what Alien & Rouge Malachite combination! No! It's absolutely boring to pay the price tag.

Generally men will smell something and decide they don't like it and move on. They won't downvote it unless it inspires some kind of grudge. I see one comment from a male. Someone should really do a statistical study of fragrantica and the percentages of ratings for men's fragrances. It's generally pretty difficult for something geared towards women to score this high. I wonder if anyone will do a comparison video with this ($250), Rouge malechite (300) and alien (80). If it can be done for 80, is it really worth the hefty price? I mean, alien isn't a clone it was released 15 years prior to this. A more luxurious version maybe with better quality ingredients? I haven't smelled any, but I do have Carnal Flower and it's way more expensive than this and released the same year as alien. Maybe Alien is the clone, but it takes years to develop a fragrance, so i doubt it.

Floral, fruity, & musky. It sounds like something an older woman would wear, based on that over simplified description... As a guy I totally get why one could see this as a feminine fragrance. However, on my skin, it works like crazy, and I get a ton of compliments from women when I wear it. It's probably my new favorite summer scent. Definitely worthy of a full bottle

Boadecia does some amazing white florals. This reminds me of the DNA of Heroine, but is less powdery and the white florals are amped up such a in Valient. Expensive brand for sure, but at least you get a quality bottle and luxurious juice.

A beautiful bouquet'd cocoon of white florals. Easy to wear like a white linen sheath in summer. Lasted several hours and leans more fem imo.
