Golden Aries

To begin my review I have to say as soon as I seen this bottle years ago I was immediately reminded of Jason and the Argonauts. The tale long story short is Jason going on an adventure to claim the 'Golden Fleece' so that he could reclaim his throne as the king, due to that Aietes would lose his kingdom if he lost the fleece. I loved this movie all my life and watched it a lot when I was young... its been a while so I can't remember all the details but it remains a classic to me, so when I eventually got around to trying a sample of this, I had certain expectations of what it could smell like and it delivered 100% I'm pleased to say. Just like a fleece, this fragrance is both warm and comforting. For me this is the sort of scent you wear when you want to feel relaxed or want healing of a hard days work. Its quite heavy on the florals with a base of oud that is adding something creamy to the fragrance and is in no way offensive (safe oud for people who don't like it as a note - nothing offputting at all) Honestly speaking for those who wear fragrances for compliments I think this might get an occasional one or two but this is a fragrance that's more for your own comfort rather than seeking positive attention, kind of like how you wear a fleece for your own warmth and comfort opposed to wearing something others may consider 'sexy' Nothing wrong either way but understand its not going to be a compliment beast because of the high price tag, its for you to love and for others to enjoy a pleasant inoffensive sillage. Ever wondered what the ultimate tropical paradise would smell like? Golden Aries is what I would describe as a fragrance of life lived to the fullest. Memorable from the moment it touches the skin, Golden Aries opens up with the juiciest pineapple and peach set against the most extravagantly lavish bouquet of florals, intertwining the voluptuous exoticism of ylang-ylang, frangipani and two contrasting night blooming flowers, jasmine and tuberose. The result is a tropical fruity floral elixir that smells good enough to eat, hypnotically beautiful and highly addicting. Sandalwood and vanilla blanket the succulent fruits and exotic florals in the base with a creamy sweetness that is nothing short of breathtaking. Final rating: 10/10.

This is a great floral not very masculine though a man can pull this off easily. The blast of exquisitely blended yellow florals with sandalwood incense is like the morning sunshine with a golden yellow tinge. So the name Golden Aries is apt. Fruits, incense, amber are all in their cameo roles initially. And the drydown is equally great with incense amber becoming bit more prominent. And what a perfect blending this is with absolutely high quality ingredients. Late drydown is a superb, exotic mix of everything as florals recede a bit and ambery woody incense becomes bit more prominent with the florals. Try it

After smelling this special perfume, I couldn't resist the temptation and bought it. The smell of yellow and white flowers mainly, a perfume for all seasons with a focus on spring and summer. I think it's completely unisex. On me personally it stays on the skin all day. I liked. 9.5/10.

7/10 It reminds me of memo paris marfa

Being an aries, it is odd that oud does not go well with my skin if this perfume has it as dominant note (ofcourse, oud will be dominant in any perfume..lol). So I am thinking, either they got this perfume wrong or I am not actually not an aries and doctor screwed up my month of birth. I will like to try this, but I dont have high hopes since I have yet to find oud that works with my chemistry.

Sorry Boadicea, although I am your number one fan, this perfume is a big letdown. I got a sample from Boadicea and the performance is very poor although the scent is nice fruity floral. I was expecting a much longer silage and durability. The price is absolutely ridiculous.

I have a sample and I do like it. very light in a sense but sensual. I get a lot of vanilla with fruit. Not sure if it is unique enough to warrant the price. Will be smelling supreme bouquet to see if it is similar and that would be nice

Rose, tuberose, redcurrant, jasmine, ylang, galbanum, hint of wormwood, patchouli and cedarwood with a sparkling texture. Bombastic, bossy and actually quite addicting. Leaning feminine.

This sounds gorgeous and funnily enough Aries is my birth sign but at £800.00 a bottle I shall have to give this one a miss! :(

Yep, they are obsessed with floral-fruitys. (Much)more floral than fruity, hence the reversed phrase

Just received an official a reply from Boadicea that Golden Aries is no longer part of their range.

Very fruity and floral scent. It's dominantly feminine, no man can pull this scent off.
