Harrods Gold

Ugh, here we go with the low ratings from people who haven't tried the fragrance yet. I kind of get it, is any fragrance truly worth $1800+? While I can't answer that question just yet, I can certainly say this fragrance is amazing & well composed. The opening is quite balsamic & aromatic, but as it dries down it turns into such a balmy journey with a dusting of cacao & butter, but the butter doesn't feel pastry or popcorn-like. (which I totally love) It adds almost like a rich texture to the composition. I also get a good dose of incense, myrhh, oud, and vanilla. It shares a similar vibe to Eau Duelle EDP & Bois d'Argent... and maybe a little bit of Angelique Noire. Although I wouldn't say this is a dupe for any of those fragrances. This is quite more complex and mysterious due to the myrhh, incense, and resins. It's also blended impeccably well. Harrods Gold has easily become one of my favorites for winter!

My goodness, this is gorgeous! Defo not a scent profile i would associate with Boadicea but damn this is nice! The dusty cacao blendid with spices give it a sweet, soft amberful nuance. Can't comment on performance as I only tested it breifly in Harrods. This however is instantly gone into top 5 of mine from Boadicea! Grown folk take on a mature gourmand. NOT SICKLY SWEET OR JUVINILE!!!

This is truly a beautiful scent. Makes me feel like I am in an opulent ryokan sitting on aged tatami floors inside a wooden architecture, with incense lit up in the background. Is it worth the price tag, I still ponder.

If anyone thinks smelly alcohol is worth this much needs to be medicated. Shame on these people for not giving a damn about people's wallet.
