Beachy, refreshing, marine/aquatic, sandy/mineral, fresh, salty, white floral, citrusy, feminine, chic, uplifting, cheerful, transportive, nostalgic The perfect sun tan lotion only better fragrance... more chic and classy! Definitely gives off major beach vibes and a lovely nostalgic feeling! Conjures up feelings of the Sun warming my skin, my feet in the sand, and long walks along a beautiful white sand beach with my feet in the water, and a gentle ocean breeze blowing through my hair. If you’re looking for a beachy fragrance, but don’t overly enjoy coconut, then this one is definitely worth trying. It is the closest perfume that I’ve come across so far to what Sun tan lotion smells like, just not the coconut kind. I actually find it rather unique because most beachy scents incorporate a coconut note, or another kind of tropical fruit. As much as I love coconut scents I’ve still always really loved this one too. Instead of a tropical coconut scent giving this a beachy vibe, Beach gets its from notes like sand and sea water. Those add a really nice refreshing marine aquatic scent and mineral scent like you would get from the actual beach. I also catch soft whiffs of jasmine throughout, like it’s coming to me on a fresh ocean breeze. I do notice just a subtle mandarin orange scent, but it’s the least prominent to me. I very highly recommend this one if you love sun tan lotion like scents, or want a beachy scent that doesn’t have any coconut (or other tropical fruits). To me this feels feminine, and like it would easily suit women of any age. I enjoy wearing this the most during the late spring and throughout the summer, but I can see this being reached for during the colder months too, especially if you’re longing for a beach vacation, or warm weather. I think this works pretty well for most occasions besides something fancy. It comes off as versatile to me, so I can see it being worn at home, casual occasions, work/school, and even on date nights. I’ve been wearing this for about 10 years now, and it’s something that I always hope to have in my collection. I got the cutest gift set of it which included the 1.7oz perfume, shower gel, body scrub, and body lotion. I would absolutely love for them to bring that set back because I really love using the body care products with the perfume. I do get great performance with Beach, but it’s even better when I pair it with the matching body care. The longevity is really good, it lasts at least 6-7 hours on me. The projection is nice too, it radiates out about 2-3 feet from me. Some of my other favorite beachy/coconut/Sun tan lotion scented fragrances include Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus, Kilian Sunkissed Goddess, Replica Beach Walk, Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess, Yves Rocher Monoi Eau des Vahines, JHAG Lust For Sun, JHAG Vanilla Vibes (another excellent beachy scent without any coconut), Kayali Maui in a Bottle, Kayali Maldives in a Bottle I just wanted to add that By Rosie Jane Maddie is extremely similar to Beach. Like almost identical imo. However, I do get better performance with Beach.

It makes me smile to see so many others have the nostalgia of childhood from this perfume as I do. To me this is the 80's. No it doesn't smell like any perfume from the 80's. But it reminds me of that time. I go back to my first road trip being 6 or 7 years old. My family always struggling financially, I rarely had the privilege of out of state travels. But my grandparents decided they wanted to take me to Florida. It would be my first time seeing the ocean and going to Walt Disney World. The age that I was, I could barely contain my excitement. My poor Paw Paw probably heard "Are we there yet?" countless times. Listening to classic country tunes and driving all the way from southern North Carolina was quite the long drive for me. Arriving in Florida was like going through another dimension. Numerous swamps, murky trees, and moss growing everywhere. The smells were numerous. I could smell the orange groves and it was a whole new world to me. But arriving near the ocean was breathtaking. My eyes had never beheld endless seas and smelled the salty air before. I was speechless and mesmerized with enchantment. I was so in love! We arrived at our hotel and the beach was literally out our door. I was so excited I could not stand it. Right away me and my Mama (who was a younger woman then) got into our beach gear and headed to the water. Bobbi Brown Beach takes me right to that moment. The instant exhilaration of smelling the fresh salty sea, feeling the water on my legs, and digging my toes into the sand. My grandmother having lathered me up in "suntan lotion" and the smell lingered on my skin while in the water. Carefree happiness and running into that water like there was no tomorrow. Smiling so hard my face hurt and poking at poor little jellyfish. After going inside and the smell of the sea lingering on my skin and clothes. Bobbi Brown put all those memories into this bottle of treasure. No matter how difficult my adult life is, a spritz of Beach truly brings a smile to my face. Being a mother now and almost old enough to be a grandmother, I find perfumes like this bring such joy to my heart. I hope my own children will one day find their nostalgia in a bottle to remind them of the wealth of childhood. As of now, I am enjoying my journey of nostalgia. Finding perfumes that are taking me down memory lane, they will forever be in my collection.

Salty non-sweet jasmine. Sunscreen. The open north Atlantic ocean. Dusty sand. Blinding white sunlight. Beach is a harsh, stark scent which truly cleared my sinuses like the sharp cold spray from the real ocean does. A beach is a brutal environment, even when the weather is agreeable. When I decided to own Bobbi Brown Beach, I broke one of my personal rules: never wear a literal scent out of context and risk skewing natural associations. Certain scents have a nearly sacred status to me. Similar to how in other cultures, scented oils and incense materials are reserved for important rituals. My own rituals correspond to memories and to nature. Hot pine needles and burning wood mean camping with my family. Frankincense means visiting cathedrals with my class in grade school. Hot rainy air is also a sacred scent, and these natural, memory-laden scents are my true "special occasion scents", because to wear them at the DMV or while filing my taxes seems just short of blasphemous, but here's my REAL fear: I don't want to encounter the natural scent in the world coming from its true origin, and instantly be reminded of my smell-alike perfume (rather than the thing itself). This happened to me once before and the result was traumatizing. I was walking through my neighborhood and smelled a neighbor's barbeque and thought to myself, "mmm... Smells like a combination of Wazamba and Arso. ...Noooo!" I couldn't wear Wazamba and Arso after that because I want burning wood to remind me of burning wood, and the distant burning wood of my past. Which brings me to Beach. I live by the beach and for me, it's one of the most important scents of all. If I ever step out of the house, inhale deeply, and think, "Mmm...Smells like Bobbi Brown Beach!" I'm going to jump off a cliff. That's how accurate and harsh, salty and brilliant a beach facsimile this is. Archivist's description of feeling Zonked is no exaggeration. I felt myself go slightly wall-eyed while wearing it. Why'd I decide to risk permanently skewing my associations and break my rule? I'm tired. Update: Purchased a new bottle of this recently and it smelled artificial and sharp. I think it has been reformulated. Sad.

Have you gone on a beach vacation? Perhaps you stayed at a hotel or motel, maybe rented a house in the area? Imagine you do that–you check in, unpack your bags, and take in the scent of this clean space you just rented–there's a distinct floral jasmine smell, soapy, aldehydic, yet oddly clean and innocent, permeating this rented space. Night rolls in, and it's a warm summer evening. The distinct fragrance of ozone and sand wafting in from the nearby ocean. You can hear the waves crash and you drift to sleep. Morning comes, and you start your day taking in the clean smell of the place you're staying at, then proceed to slather on the sunscreen–specifically Coppertone Water Babies, from the pink bottle. You step outside, onto the boardwalk, with its outdoor restaurants and bathrooms with concrete floors, sand everywhere. The scent of the ocean is strong. The soft serve ice cream vendor gives you an orange sherbet cone. You go to the boardwalk amusement park. You spend the day at the beach, then take a quick dip in the pool. That soapy floral smell from your hotel/house has followed you here, intermingled with the scent of orange, the aldehydic pool chlorine, the sea breeze and the Coppertone lotion that fused into your skin. Combine all this, and you get Bobbi Brown "Beach." This scent is near and dear to me as it completely captures specific scents and experiences of my Eastern Shore childhood. It's a wonderful scent to spray just out of the shower (or ocean, pool, and so on), or to brighten you mood in the dead of winter. It also smells fabulous on linens to give that "just checked into my hotel" vibe. I would hesitate to call this a sunscreen scent, though it bears resemblance to Coppertone specifically, and it's certainly not tropical–but it's a good example that a perfume doesn't have to rely on coconut to evoke the beach.

OH GOOD GOSH, Beach by Bobbi Brown is a time capsule in a bottle! This scent takes me back to when I was a little girl at the beach. I can remember playing in the sand on a hot summer day with coppertone mixed with sand slathered all over my warm sweaty skin. A warm breeze blowing across the salty ocean water mixing all these wonderful scents together and sending them right into my nostrils. I missed this smell and now get to have that joyful childhood memory back As for the notes, when first sprayed I smell a mix of jasmine, salty sea water and earthy sand. I can even smell a warm breeze (not noted). As it begins to dry down, the jasmine softens, the salty sea water and sand really come forward...with still the warm breeze and it softens into just a hint powdery. I personally do not smell mandarin orange at all. Amazing fragrance! I can't get enough of it! The sillage was very good and lasted hours. The longevity lasted (on me) into the night. Come on hot July...I'm ready for ya! Edit: Heads up! When you wear Beach you will hear over and over pretty much the same compliment. Persons head jerks up with nose sniffing the air, looks around and says "I smell suntan lotion!" Then looks at you and ask "Is that you? Are you wearing suntan lotion? Oh my gosh you smell so good!" I kid you not it will happen to you just about like that. They should have named this perfume "Deja vu" because that's what you will feel is happening when you wear this out. You will definitely receive compliments. Coppertone suntan lotion and the salty beach in the hot summer is exactly what I want to smell like. Loving the compliments I'm getting with this perfume even though they are Deja vu!

Okay, so here's the thing about this fragrance. Simply put: it smells like the beach. Let me clarify. It doesn't smell like something you'd WEAR to the beach. It doesn't smell like something that would GO GOOD at the beach. No. IT SMELLS LIKE THE BEACH. It smells like someone is shoving your head in the sand and then dunking you in the ocean and then rubbing your face in a coral reef. In other words: it is magical... Well, for some... Here are my thoughts: -This isn't an "easy" scent. Not everyone is going to like it- and it is pricey. Do not blind buy. Get yourself a sample. And when you do... stick with it awhile. Let it grow on you. This is one of those numbers that makes you think, but if it can manage to get you to fall in love with it, you'll grant it a primier spot on your fragrance display. -I don't care if they scrawl "for women" in giant font all over the bottle. This is unisex. If you're a dude, go for it. -If you are into mixing scents this makes an awesome, awesome base! Try it with something coconutty or vanilla-ish. It goes wonderfully with fruity scents (adding complexity). You can really work with this one! -This smells very high end. In my opinion it is suitable for day or night. Ideally, it's a day scent, but you can spritz this on at night for special occasions, no problemo. -Although this is not an "easy" choice in the sense of everyone liking it, it is easy in the sense that it is mellow. If you like calming fragrances, try this. -Many people compare this to suntan lotion, especially Coppertone. I say, "Hmmmn... yeah... sort of..." It's like a higher end version of Coppertone, without the coconut element.

Beach is quite literally that; the beach. Well, more specifically its the scent of SPF 50 and sea air, but as a pale redhead which burns even on overcast days (there is a reason why I either stay inside or wear flowy linen shirts all summer long), this is how a day on the coast smells to me. I bought Beach after waiting ages for it to come back into stock, I was curious more than anything about the sand note, if anything, I was expecting something aquatic with a sun parched, briney stones or shells type of note along the lines of Dune, but nope! Beach is, from start to finish the scent of sun block, nothing coconutty or sticky, and you know what? it makes me feel GOOD!! it reminds me of getting up early to head to the Westerly part of Wales to the beach and enjoying the humid yet fresh sea air, Longevity I personally find excellent at around 7hrs from 3 spritzes with an airy light silage. Beach will always have a place in my wardrobe, its a key part of my olfactive summer memories past, present and undoubtedly future, I've never found anything else that smells like this does. The only negative I have is that its only available online directly from Bobbi Brown's website and I wish there were some other Beach scented products (and a reintroduction of the body oil would be nice, that sounds like it was divine!) to go alongside the EdP, and, because of its sea faring nature and me being landlocked 90% of the time, it almost feels a bit wrong or naughty to wear it! Just picked up a bottle at Selfridges today. I had tried Beach Walk by Maison Margiela and I didn’t like it (the opening was too strong and cloying full of coconut), so I was expecting something light, fresh, and cheerful. Thankfully, this was EXACTLY what I imagined! The perfect blend of Mandarin and Jasmine is fresh, airy and definitely beachy. I used Hawaiian Tropic as a kid so I'm not sure if it smells like Copperstone, but it definitely smells like one of those sunscreens for beach but in a much more sophisticated way. I am absolutely smitten with this fragrance. The only downside is its relatively poor longevity. It lasts very short on my skin, perhaps because my skin was very dry at the time I spritzed. Still, the performance is pretty poor considering it is an Eau de Parfum not a Toilette. Also, the dry down was not as impressive as the top notes, it slightly became artificial and generic (but still very pleasant to my nose). To be honest, MM Beach Walk has softer/creamier dry down with richness and longevity, but I fell in love with this perfume from the very first spritz so I don't regret my decision. So sad it is discontinued.

I was lucky to find a rollerball very cheap at a thrift store, and it really does timewarp me to the happiest parts of my childhood summers. I can see why people would be disappointed, as it is fairly basic and doesn't project much for the retail price. I'm getting benzoin, although it isn't listed in the notes, and the jasmine is very light and clean. The sand and salt is dry and almost breezy. It has to be the exact recipe for Coppertone's fragrance. Drydown is a close sunkissed skin scent, and even that brings back other memories - driving home, hair still wet, sitting on a towel in the backseat after swimming all day. Sad that from open to close it's such a short ride at maybe 30 minutes. We're on day 5 of a heatwave here so this has been nice to wear in the city, day and night. If you're looking for a complex and artfully crafted summer perfume that evokes a possible far-off suntan lotion that you can't place, Sun Di Gioia is an absolute stunner. If you just want that feeling of warm nostalgia, Beach will bring it, but, just like summer, it doesn't last long.

If this fragrance seems polarizing, it’s because for most of those who love it, it’s a nostalgic scent. For those of us who were doused in a particular brand and scent of sunscreen as kids, and who have positive associations with those memories, this scent is as good as a time machine. For those who never shared this experience, this may be why you’re mystified as to why this smells like the beach. Speaking for myself, I was born in the early 80s and grew up going to Nantasket Beach in Massachusetts every summer. This is the scent of the sunscreen my mother would aggressively slather all over me, including my face, and that would sting my eyes when I sweat. I hated the sunscreen ritual but I loved those summers. This is a photorealistic representation of that sunscreen, which others have identified as Coppertone. I could be wrong but believe it was the Water Babies line, the one with the dog pulling off the little girl’s bathing suit on the label? To me, this smells like a sandy bathing suit in 1991, in the best of ways.

okay so i am obsessed with this fragrance. it's like smelling someone's skin right after they've peeled off their bathing suit after a long day at the beach, but before they've showered. sunscreen and saltwater mixed with sweat. hot sandy skin mixed with cool wet lycra. it is deeply evocative! and it low key makes me horny af. the initial suncreen note is so deliciously in your face. once that softens, it becomes less chemical and more aquatic and salty, but the sunscreen and lycra smell never disappears comepletely. the subtle jasmine on the drydown is perfection. i dont get any citrus at all really. the emotional journey as it develops is so wild. it goes from licking the sunscreen off your lover's sandy, sunkissed skin to evoking the faded nostalgia of old beach vacation photos. i honestly dont know if i could wear it everyday. i would be too distracted by constantly smelling myself and being transported to my horny beach house memory palace. i wouldn't get anything done. UPDATE: i wear it everyday.

This is gorgeous in oil form! Lasts longer and it's a perfect replica of the Coppertone old formula. I am in heaven!!!! On a beach, my 4 years old self running wild on the shore, with my wolf dog chasing me and barking and circling me. My mother chases us both with my hat, and when she catches up there's the bottle of this milky thick thing that smells so good, but bothers me as it's kinda oily. I feel I'm wearing a diving suit when she covers me with it. But the scent coming from it makes me happy, so I give in and then enjoy the flowery whiff. My mother laughs at my ghostly face, the thick cream making me as white as a sheet so much that I almost glow among all tanned others. I'm under the scorcing sun, making sand castles, the sea waves lapping at my feet ... and this thing smells so good. In drydown the oil exudes a light sand scent, yes, with a tad of plasticky backing. I love it! PS: my search for the perfect beach scent has finally come to a happy end.

Bond No.9 Fire Island:Bobbi Brown Beach Comparison Chandler Burr famously described BBB as an olfactory replica of the Coppertone scent. Fresh and spritely, dominant jasmine and mandarin orange. This fragrance brings back all the feels. Memories of carefree childhood parties held poolside. Mum holding me down and applying a thick layer of sunscreen to my shoulders, preaching to deaf ears the importance of waiting twenty minutes before swimming. No amount of sense could keep me out of that water. Now imagine you are with me in that memory, and hours later you emerge from the pool, waterlogged and a bit burnt, and her arms wrap you in the warmest, fluffiest towel fresh from the dryer. That is the experience of Fire Island. A white flower and neroli core reminiscent of BBB, but diluted and cloaked in cozy, powdery cardamom. The happy end of a day spent swimming, when everything is right with the world.

I think this smells exactly like what most people are looking for when they long for the fond memories of walking on a sandy beach shore, the ocean waves lapping around their feet, the whiffs of suntan lotion on hundreds of people floating around the air. Then the wonderful feeling of drying off and taking a nice long shower, putting on a fluffy white robe and staying in a hotel room that is about 20 degrees cooler than you can afford to blast your AC at home. Or maybe by most people I mean just me. These are my fond memories of beach trips that I so rarely get to take due to being such a long distance from the coast. It's well worth the 10 hour drive a couple times a year for a day like this. And when I can't afford to, or I just don't have the time, or there's an unforeseeable worldwide health crisis going on that limits my travel capabilities, Bobbi Brown Beach can fill that void.

Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Replica Beach Walk, Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus, Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess, JHAG Lust For Sun, and JHAG Vanilla Vibes! I get great performance with Beach... excellent longevity (I can still smell it on me the next morning!) and silage!

This does smell just like coppertone but i like it! Very much a memory in a bottle! The sunscreen is just the opening and then dries to a jasmine and very nice. Def marine and salty. I think i wantvto layer this with hermes eau de merveille Or whatever its called, the edt. I think the orange with Beach would be perfect I gave one bottle to my daughter and she LOVES IT! she is 24. She loves that sunscreen vibe. Update: i havent worn this in a while but layered just a teeny bit with izia sisley and i personally think the salty marine notes go very nicely with the aldehydic rose citrus notes of izia. Weather today is a late summer sunny beautiful day with low humidity and not too hot. It is a happy open optimistic scent blend. I think beach tames the aldehydes just enough!

This smells exactly like sunscreen. Even my six year old daughter asked me if I was wearing sunscreen, that is how I confirmed it smells exactly like it. That is the reason why I bought it and it delivers. My only problem with this is the price, it should not cost this much considering it doesn't last that long. It also doesn't come in bigger bottles only in the 1.7 oz bottle so I feel like I can't use it as much as I would because it is painful to see how fast the bottle goes down. I am not sure I will repurchase due to the longevity issue. I only get about 2 hours of it before it disappears. This is over spraying it and even putting it on my hair. If this was cheaper and longer lasting this would definitively be my signature summer scent!

My mom gave me her at least 2-year old bottle as she wasn't enjoying it. I was pleased that it still smells amazing. I have so much affection for this fragrance. It absolutely smells like sunscreen up front - not sweet and I love that it doesn't have coconut notes as some more sunscreeny/summery scents tend to have. The dry down on my skin is salty, jasmine, mineral and even a touch smoky, somehow. Truly like I've been lounging like a lizard in the sun, on a hot sandy beach all afternoon (maybe with my grandma smoking a few feet away LOL). Sometimes I layer it with some smokier scents I have from OLO (Dark Wave or Erastus) and I find it adds even more depth. Not for everyone I guess, but for me it's a happy and nostalgic scent.

This is what I've been SEARCHING FOR!! After running the gamut of "sunscreen" fragrances (Vacation, Margiela Beach Walk, more) *this* is the straight-up Coppertone, public pool fantasy. And to make things even better, it actually LASTS! Sits on the skin so nicely, takes me out of the office and to a waterpark all day long. I will say that it plays the sunscreen smell the most faithfully of any of the others I've tried-- only a very vague "spa" vibe on drydown. Graciously not overpowering or headache inducing, so amazing. I will be wearing this year-round just to be annoying, but it's definitely a summer day fragrance. Undefeated champ of the sunscreen scents in my eyes!

Recently blind bought this one trusting other's reviews and it did not disappoint. This is truly Coppertone sunscreen in a bottle, wish I adore. I grew up 5 minutes away from the beach. Going for a swim, snorkeling was a usual activity within my family. The smell initially took me back to those days when I wanted to run off to have fun but my mother would hold me back and apply sunscreen to avoid having me getting a sunburn. It's bright, uplifting and nostalgic. It's creamy and beachy withouth being sweet, fruity or coconutty. Initially the smell was a bit more floral and somewhat plasticky. Whenever I sniff this I'm flooded with memories and feel a tad happier.

I worked for the Bobbi Brown line in my early 20's as a makeup artist and discovered Beach. I couldn't afford it back then and would just slather myself in Coppertone as a dupe. I haven't had a signature scent since Mariel by H20 was discontinued years ago, but I suppose Beach is now it. *plot twist* I am currently on the prowl for a new signature scent. Beach has absolutely zero staying power. In order to actually enjoy it you must spray profusely all day, and after that spray 10x more. You still won't pickup anything by bedtime. Honestly, Coppertone sport lasts longer and gives my skin an LA sheen. At $6.99 a pop I look and smell like the beach all day.

Picked this up at Winner's last summer for around $50. Heard about it on tiktok and was shocked to find it later that week! This is my everyday summer fragrance. It's light and inoffensive enough to wear to work, and doesn't project too much to become a distraction. Smells like actual Coppertone sunscreen, sandy beaches and salty water. This takes me right back to being 5-6 years old and having my mom put sunscreen on me at the beach. I love summery/beach fragrances in general but this stands out because it isn't of the coconutty sunscreen type. It's not too sweet, and just makes you smell fresh. I will probably finish my bottle by the end of this summer.

I totally agree with purrz11. This was a blind buy for me as well. I read about it on sephora and ordered a roller ball Immediately. Instantly fell in love. It reminds me of an adult version of copper tone water babies sun screen which to me is the BEACH and summer!! Very nostalgic. I've never been to the ocean and to me the beach is the lake but it still screams summertime. I got a lot of compliments on it and I love the way it smells on me. My new favorite! Even though it reminds me of my favorite childhood sunscreen, I don't find this scent powdery at all, just very fresh which makes it even better. I just wish it would last a little longer.

I love tropical scents, and this one doesn’t disappoint! It smells like sunscreen when first applied, but upon dry down is when you start to smell the floral deliciousness. Gardenia, jasmine...there is a bouquet of beautiful notes in there. I have gotten many compliments when I wear this. I love Bath and Body Works summer scents, and I can layer this with any of their tropical body sprays. I’m a sucker for any and all beachy scents (also love Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Summer and Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy Now Beach), none of them come close to this though. Long lasting, good sillage, and ultra elegant.

This is the beach/summer perfume I always wanted but never found, until recently. Yeah, all other comments are saying the same, it smells like a retro sunscreen. I'm a kid from the 90's but I remember that smell. It smells like my days on the border of a lake or a rocky beach. I sprayed myself before exercising the other day and the sea water and sand smells became more prominent. I guess these scents develop much more in the heat...On first spray you smell the Jasmine but then it becomes more "beachy". I also like the minimalist practical bottle. Bobbi Brown stayed true to its genre.

Since this fragrance has been reviewed half a million times I'll be brief. Beach is Coppertone which lasts 1-3 hours depending on the temperature and then morphs into Cool Water Light. To me, this is the best of both worlds: the jasmine blooms close once morning has passed and then the sand warms with afternoon heat, mingling at the shoreline with salty waves, leaving their scent on my skin for the rest of the day and evening. (Here's a tip to combat Beach's fast-fading. Spray it in your hair and on your clothes.)

Tried it yesterday against 2 other summer perfumes. It smelled great and lasted through a shower and until morning. It smells like sand, sun and the beach. Just what I wanted. This will be my next purchase. There are those that ask why you want to spend this much on a perfume that smells like suntan lotion, but it is so much more. It is memories of the beach, hot dogs and fireworks, riding the surf and catching sand crabs. No amount of money can pay for memories and feelings of my youth. Summer love bottled.

I love this. It is straight up Coppertone with a hint of salt air. I’m never more relaxed than when I’m at the beach. Since I currently live 600 miles from the ocean, this is the closest thing I can get. For me it evokes summers at Jones Beach circa 1984. It is utterly transporting. I spray it on and I’m instantly relaxed. Unfortunately, the longevity is not great. I’m hoping Bond 9 Fire Island is just as good and lasts longer (It is!). BTW....this has decent longevity in winter, 6-8 hours.

As a girlie who grew up in Florida going to the beach every weekend, oh my gosh!! My childhood! The initial spray is very sunscreen/bug spray scent and is so nostalgic. After it dries down, you can smell the subtle blossoms and sea salt of the ocean. It is absolutely perfect and one of my all time favorite perfumes. It also has pretty good lasting power on me. I can still smell it 5+ hours later. I live very far from the ocean now but this perfume always brings me back there.

This perfume is nostalgia in a bottle. It smells EXACTLY like 90s sunscreen and in the best way. I love it for that. It is a memory scent. I do not find myself actually using it often, because I rarely want to smell exactly like sunscreen. But it is delicious and brings me back to the beach days of my childhood every time I smell it so it is hard to let it go. I probably only wear it when I am heading to the beach! Because that is the positive headspace it puts you in.

I live in Florida and grew up on the beach. This scent truly reminds me of the evening after a day at the beach. After your skin has been slathered with sunscreen all day and slightly burned to a rosy golden brown. After you've taken a shower with plain Dove/Ivory soap and dried off with fluffy, clean, warm towels. Maybe you've put some after-sun lotion on. You curl up in bed and watch t.v. and drift off to sleep, still feeling the waves rock your body....

This scent wears so nicely on my skin and I catch myself being memerized and thinking about it when I am not wearing it. When I intially blind bought it and sampled it, I thought, “huh, all those reviews are accurate.” I can see how it’s a bit divisive, but the sandy beachy scents and vibes make this heavy in my rotation. I forsee reaching for it even more in the warmer months. I also bought a back up bottle because I enjoy it that much.

I don’t get the hate when almost every review of this perfume says it smells like good old-fashioned sunscreen. If you don’t want to smell like sunscreen, just don’t buy it. It’s not your typical coconut beachy perfume because, well, there’s none in it. It really smells like Coppertone, but I would say it’s the soft touch of jasmine that really makes it wearable. I put it on when I need my day to feel brighter, and it works every time.

I sampled this today and I absolutely love this scent! The sand and sea water notes make it smell exactly like the beach! The Jasmine and Mandarin orange notes make it wearable for everyday, or as a comfort scent. I would wear this on casual days or on days when I feel down or sad. This is definitely a comfort scent for me because I grew up in Southeast Georgia and this reminds me of sunshine and happy days by the ocean.

I actually really like this. I'm not sure why people are giving it such a hard time. It's a very creamy scent, and it smells just like the sunscreen I used as a kid. It really reminds me of the beach and getting sand in all the wrong places. People who don't think this smells like sunscreen were spoiled with coconutty goodness their whole life and never had to smear on the SPF of the lower income bracket.

This wasn't launched in 2009, it was before that I'm sure. It's great scent,that kind of perfumes that will be a masterpiece in the history of perfume!! Yes, I loved it very much,it has a nostalgia with me. As I like to wear soft,clean, fresh perfume at night, I can do that with this. Last word, it's a twin sister to Beyond Paradise by Estée Lauder , but I like this more,as it is softer and cleaner.

I have the rollerball of this. Yes, sunscreen, definitely, but also white flowers, including gardenia. To my nose, the drydown is heavy on orange blossom (which I consider a plus.) Also occasionally reminds me slightly of kids soap bubbles. The review preceding mine mentioned European cold cream and that feels right to me. It's light, happy, perhaps old-fashioned, and for me, nostalgic.

This is sunscreen in a bottle. No, not suntan oil or a beach vacation, with coconut and yellow florals—straight up SPF 50 sunscreen that you put on your face everyday. If you want to smell like sunscreen (which I do because I love that comforting chemical scent), then buy this. If you don't, stick with Beach Walk, Nina Soleil, Lust for Sun, or Soleil Blanc.

This is sort of like a Coppertone "solifore"! :-P The main note is of Coppertone, but on me, it also has a salty briny note mixed in, with a jasmine weaving in and out through everything. It feels simple, but PERFECT if a day at the beach in perfume form is what you're craving. It also lasts quite a while, unexpectedly, about 4 hours on me. I adore this.

This is FANTASTIC but there is nothing beachy about this at all. It's not like an Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess. The power of suggestion is amazing. This is like sticking your face into a ton of fresh jasmine blossoms. It is sweet and a tiny bit indolic but not skanky or animalic. This is just fresh, strong, beautiful jasmine. I love it.

If you love that beachy nostalgic vibe but wish it were more elevated, classy, and clean, then this is the fragrance. I keep the roll-on in my bag whenever I'm travelling somewhere hot. It makes me feel happy whenever I smell it, and it's subtle enough that it feels like it's more for you than anyone else.

Smells like a rich lady's day by the beach. Think mid-to-upper-Atlantic private club on the shore: more WASPy less tropical. Beautiful sunblock smell with zero coconut. Will have people asking if someone put sunblock on. Minor sillage, moderate-to-poor longevity. Lasts alright on clothing. Love this one.

This smells like sunscreen (ala Coppertone, not Hawaiian Tropics) and the beach, with moderate staying power. Good if more feminine than others of the same ilk. Note to self: you like this one but are on the fence about buying a bottle. Maybe if you found a really good deal. Great for smelling!

The new rectangular bottle is very weak, it is still saying Eau de Parfum, but smells like Eau de Cologne. I did a previous review, saying positive things, but that was about the old cylinder bottle. The smell itself is almost the same, and I'm enjoying it, but please make it stronger Bobbi.

I do adore this fragrance.bear in mind ...I live on an island and today it was sunny,thus works like a charm!! I couldn't believe how great the longevity is. However ,I will not wear this on a Workday,cause it will screw your mind over ,thinking about the beach the hole time.........

This is my favorite Summer fragrance. I have lived a 10-20 minute car ride to the beach all of my life and this scent transforms me there immediately. It conjures visions of warm sands, suntan lotion, ocean waves and driftwood. If I close my eyes I am there. Love.

It smells like late afternoon, coming home from the beach when I was a little girl. Amazingly evocative scent memory for me. Takes me right back there, to the point it can utterly change my mood and my perspective. Great for anyone with a beachy childhood.

90's copper tone vibes all the way. If you can get your hands on a bottle, I highly recommend for a nostalgic summer fragrance. Leans feminine. Fresh, clean, crisp, I definitely get a hit of neroli. The little sister of Tom Fords Neroli Portofino.

I stumbled upon this beautiful scent and just couldn’t get enough of it. It’s the first time I love a beach smelling scent that is minimalist and classy without an overpowering coconut. It really transported me to the Caribbean. Gets compliments!

All I know is that when I put this on, I close my eyes and imagine the ocean breeze, hot sun but not sweating, and relaxing in the sun. I actually really like this. I guess I don't get to the beach enough, so I have it in a bottle.
