Pure White Gardenia

Very Nice! This was a blind purchase for me. I recently layered Bodycology's Pure White Gardenia with Gardenia from the House of Elizabeth Taylor, and wow! It was a hot summer's day here in Chicago, and I smelled like fresh, snipped flowers! These two pair well because they both have a 'true, fresh cut' gardenia scent. Both fragrances were a blind buy, I was not disappointed. Together, they both projected for hours and the scent smelled very luxurious. I have been wanting to wear this combo again, but my fragrance collection is vast--I can't. I want to make sure I'm wearing everything; so this combo has to wait until the end of summer to be worn again. If you like floral scents, purchase Bodycology's Pure White Gardenia. You won't be disappointed.

Thank you Atomikbomb_! I caved in and bought the body mist at the same Wal-Mart I purchased the body lotion. I was curious if the mist smelled anything like the body lotion. And Pure White "Gardenia" did not disappoint! Holy moly, this is nearly identical to Kim Kardashian's 2009 fragrance. White florals are just the perfect, relaxing way for me to end the day when I'm home won't venture out. PWG is just so soft and cozy. Again, I find this to be a slightly sweet, green-banana leaf accord with bubble-gummy tuberose trailing softly behind.

This is more tuberose than gardenia! I have only purchased the lotion from Wal-Mart on a whim cuz it instantly reminded me of Kim Kardashian's original fragrance from 2009 (the mulberry/plum colored bottle with the pink logo). It's absolutely gorgeous... the green banana leaf, soft bubblegum... not screechingly sweet like My Way or Paradoxe.

I adore this scent, it's a delicate realistic dew drenched gardenia. The notes as per fragrancex: top notes of citrus and orange blossom with middle notes of gardenia and tuberose. Base notes of White musk and cashmere wood Unfortunately I couldn't find it anywhere anymore

I'm not incredibly seasoned in this sort of thing, but I particularly enjoy this. The scent is great for the price, and while the longevity isn't amazing, it gets me through the day and my partner enjoys it as well.

I tried this years ago and hated it. It was just labeled Gardenia, and was a heavy, buttery tuberose scent, like a cheap copy of Fracas. Well, they changed the name to Pure White Gardenia, and the formula too. It is now a very pretty, simple green and dewy gardenia soliflore; very similar to Liz Taylor's Gardenia, though a little softer, sweeter, and creamier. For a body mist it has great silage, better than some edts selling today, going strong for about 2 hours before tapering to a skin scent. I found the body cream I purchased along with it is not only a great moisturizer, but it also enhances and extends the longevity of the mist. I imagine it might work great as a base for other white floral perfumes too, though I've yet to try it. Best yet, the large size of both together cost me less than $20 at my local pharmacy. I find it amazing that I am enjoying this so much right now while lounging around my house, considering that I just wasted over $100 on a supposedly niche perfume that didn't smell half as nice as this and with silage that was lighter than a used dryer sheet. If an unknown perfumer can make a scent like this that smells nice and has better than average performance for a body mist, why can't some of the supposed niche brands at least offer the same? Sorry for the small rant, but after feeling like I got robbed yesterday, I'm very frustrated with the quality of some supposedly high-end brands.

i got this from a retail store bc it's not available in my country so maybe i got something different but this is just alright. has zero longevity or projection; lasts two seconds before disappearing. my dad likes this one more than i do somehow. edit: the drydown is sosososo pretty, i'm just not sure if i can get through the first hour of this perfume it's so alcoholic edit2: its been a month and i love it now! its a very cute creamy white floral (a mix of tuberose and gardenia i think) and the longevity got a lot better, i can smell it wafting off my arm and its been 4 hours which is pretty good! pretty and inoffensive, i really like it. maybe i wouldn't repurchase, but i can definitely use up my entire bottle. also im not sure what i was on about saying its alcoholic for an hour, the alcohol is there for like 2 seconds. still not a huge fan of the opening but its not so bad and fades after five minutes

i didn't like this fragrance at first but then i sat down with those feelings and tried to figure out why i had an insanely strong scent memory of this and then it hit me. this is the church girl perfume. pure angelic church girl that volunteers at church and all her "real friends" are at church and she's gonna get married the second she finishes christian university to her boyfriend of 6 years who she met at church. it's a smell of pews and ushers that are trying to hide the smell of tobacco from their parents. it's a young pastor that is cheating on his pregnant wife and everyone knows it's happening but the mistress is the pure angelic church girl who is to young for him. it's the lies and the secrets we use to hide our deepest darkest desires. and now i like it so i will be buying it.

This is pretty! It's unapologetically floral, but not overbearing owing to it's low concentration because it's a body spray. I really couldn't agree more with reviewers below me...it's tuberose! It has that green, milky nuance and it's even more apparent as this wears down past the initial spray (which I don't love, because it's a majorly Glade plug-in blast of super florals). I wasn't sure about it at first, but I'm pleased to oversee it as it progresses into something lovely. It really reminds me of B&BW's One in a Million, but OIAM is a little softer and fuzzier, this is more gardeny and green. It has decent staying power for a body spray! Overall? A solid "like" and I'd recommend it if you're into tuberose. I mean, maybe there's gardenia in here too, but it isn't as noticeable.

this is such a pretty cheapie. i have this layered with pacifica's tahitian gardenia perfume (not a standard gardenia perfume, but a beautiful tiare) and the two together are gorgeous--tg's a bit sweeter and more tropical, while pwg's more of a true, fresh gardenia. both of them dry down to have a delicious creamy quality to them though, which i personally find addictive as hell. for the warmer seasons, this is just a good-all-around, where-it-whenever kind of fragrance. it's cozy and creamy enough to wear to bed, but it's fresh and clean enough to wear out too. and for a $4 body spray, the performance isn't bad at all either--it doesn't perform like a perfume but it definitely performs better than some other bodycology sprays. hope they keep on bringing this one back!

I've tried a lot of different bodycology scents over the years but Gardenia has always been the best one! It's such a nice creamy gardenia and for a body spray it has some power to it! I love the matching lotion it is very softening and was perfect with the spray. I used to go overboard with the lotion. Has anyone seen this at Walmart lately? I feel like the one in my town only sells two or three different scents when Walmart used to have a big shelf for bodycology. I remember Ross used to have Bodycology back in the day I remember they had them in body butters too and a really good sugar scrub. They had so many different scents like a wild poppy, vanilla cupcake, coconut lime, I vaguely remember one called floral rush. I miss that!!

if you like gardenia you'll like this. i know i enjoy florals well enough, but still learning what smells like what. it smelled nice and clean, but it seems gardenia isn't for me, however my moma who loves gardenia enjoyed it, so i gave it to her :) i sprayed this in my bathroom as room spray before giving to her, and could still smell a couple hours later if that helps speak to the quality of this $5 fragrance

I love this! It’s is the cheapest retail purchase I’ve ever made, $4 for 8oz of body spray from Walmart. I could not believe how good it is! It’s an easy reach when I’m working in the yard or after a shower before bed. It is light, fresh, dewy and pretty photorealistic gardenia. I use it on my hair, my sheets, my clothes. Just easy, breezy, cheap as chips good vibes.

This is a wild ride. It opens STRONG and radiates far more than I’ve ever experienced from a body spray. Longevity is about 2 hours. The fragrance is screechy gardenia petals only, none of the greenery, with a sugary lychee syrup note. I’m always looking for the holy grail gardenia, and while this isn’t it, it’s fun for an early spring afternoon.

If you’re a white floral lover, get this. I bought the body lotion and fragrance on a whim while at the drugstore and I’m so pleased. It’s a creamy, banana-y, sweet gardenia. For the price, it’s perfect. I like to pair the lotion with Tom Fords shimmering body oil in Soleil Neige and it’s just beautiful.

This is my favorite body spray ever. I wear it all the time and it lasts forever. It smells good with pretty much anything. It’s really simple and white floral. It isn’t a very creamy gardenia but it’s like $3 at Walmart. You can’t go wrong with this I get compliments all the time. It just smells clean, I use it out of the shower. I use it leaving the house. I use it on my clothes, my bed, I use it for whatever. Update It's not the best ever lol but it was nice while I had it but I got tired of it after 3 bottles and bad memories

honestly not what i was expecting you really can feel the green notes and fragnance changes a lot with time it is like a really clear soft flower scent but without overpowering flowers not really my favourite but just an okay scent

For 8 dollars, a lot can be forgiven! But i bought this as a layering perfume and it’s just too synthetic, overpowering, and overly sweet to work for me personally.

Gardenias alone are nostalgic and this Bodycology is comforting to me for that reason. I have done to learn that gardenia can be a polarizing scent. I am shocked some dislike it because I find it so innocent; I used gardenia soaps and powders as a child and I associate the scent with childhood. As a teen in the 90s, I frequently wore “Sarah Micheals Gardenia” dry oil. I loved that. I have not seen any Sarah Michaels products since 2002 and I assume they have been discontinued. I love white florals and naturally I enjoy Elizabeth Taylor “Gardenia.” I used the Bodycology “Pure White Gardenia” body cream after a shower and then I layer the Elizabeth Taylor Gardenia. I dress and fix my hair and on the way out the door, I spritz the bodycology Pure White Gardenia body spray. This is something I wear with sun dresses on mild days with jeans and t shirts. It makes me feel so clean, feminine, green yet creamy. I can’t even explain this. My great grandmother had some sort of gardenia bar soap I always bathed with in her big vintage bathtub that had claw feet. And she had some sort of gardenia scented dusting powder in a beautiful container with a big puff. That was why I like the Gardenia dry oil. Gardenia soliflores have a vintage vibe but they are not “old woman”—rather gardenia soliflores are beautiful in their simplicity that children like them and a very light spritz of the bodycology Gardenia body spray on a clean little girl who has just had a bath with baby shampoo and braided her hair and is wearing a sun dress would be quite lovely. I highly recommend the Bodycology Pure White Gardenia cream. I fear they will discontinue this as it has disappeared from the stores and I last purchased it at fragrancenet. I wear this a lot and dress it up and dress it down. I spritzed Pacifica’s “Tahitian Gardenia” from a tester and it is similar. In my opinion, gardenia lotions and soliflore perfumes are must haves for clean and green white floral scent lovers. I wish I could get this in a fancy powder with a puff and French mulled bar soap. It has this bohemian yet clean vibe. It goes with a clean face, clean braided hair, vintage clothes that have been cleaned and ironed. It is not screechy. It is clean like the bubbles from a bath stay with you and it has this clean 80s/90s cosmetics scent as though there were several lotions, face creams and lipsticks that smelled like this growing up. If I am alone at home, gardenia is my choice for wearing after a nice bath with my softest white robe.

I've been joyously wearing Bodycology seasonal releases for years now, enjoying the Amber (discontinued) in particular. They seem to do vague impressions of BBW type releases that have mass appeal. Gardenia has just disappeared from my local stores, so I do hope it's not discontinued. Ten or so years ago when I first adopted my beloved fragrance past time, I found Bodycology Gardenia too strong and too 'Fracas' in style. Today it is a soft and inoffensive version, though still green and clean. I think it was reformulated and renamed to 'Pure White'. The scent could be a bit stronger for my taste, but it is an astonishingly good choice for a summer deodorant spray. Paired with the creamy hand lotion, in particular! I find steamy or parched mornings enormously improved by this gem. It's like aromatherapy, with a 'clean' side effect. After a long, parched summer night, a glass of water and a generous spritz of Pure White Gardenia go far to freshen and revive! Recommended.

Love love love this one! Strong and beautiful. I layer this with Bora Bora, Kim K Signature, and Paris Hilton's Tease. It just makes a cloud of fragrant feminine gardenias.
