Eucalyptus Patchouli

This is a thing of fascinating beauty. I had BohoBoco perfumes recommended to me recently and honestly, didnt know much about them other than the fact that they are from Poland and they like doing interesting, fairly original and unique things with fragrances. Immediately, Eucalyptus Patchouli sprang out to me and I blind bought it which is something I almost never do these days. After I'd pulled the trigger and was waiting for it to arrive it did occur to me that whilst I enjoy the smell of eucalyptus, patchouli is my favourite accord of them all, and pink pepper is a constant source of interest to me in terms of food, cocktails and perfumery, I am not at all sure how they would work in unison as a fragrance. Or indeed, whether the end result is something I'd actually wear. I needn't have worried. The result is startlingly beautiful and amazingly wearable. The opening blast is medicinal and the eucalyptus dominates right off the bat but it settles down quickly as the patchouli and the incense start to come in. The sweetness comes from the incense but it is fresh and bright and not at all churchy and serves merely to ground this lovely concoction and stop it from going bitter. The pink pepper and cardamom are there but in the fringes to lend interest and intrigue not to alter the DNA. What you're left with is a perfume that is sweeter than I was expecting, without actually being something you'd call sweet. It goes medicinal at first but isnt cloying and the patchouli melds with the incense, the eucalyptus and the spices in a really interesting way that is quite unexpected and a lot prettier than you might imagine. Neither of the two central accords here are normally what you'd call pretty, certainly in the context of a hobby filled with with notes present solely because they are pretty, but they work together here in such a pretty and unexpectedly tender way. The biggest surprise here though is how very, very wearable it is. Firstly, I was expecting it to lean strongly feminine (I don't know why in hindsight) but it is very unisex and doesn't lean especially formal or casual to me either. It is so pretty and well done that you could wear it with basically anything and so could I. Another thing that surprised me was how sexy it is. As with "prettiness", patchouli and eucalyptus especially can rarely be called sexy on their own but together here they most definitely are. I would happily spray this as a body/skin scent before a date if I knew it would likely end up in bed or at least with my skin out on display for another person. It has an intrigue and raw attractiveness that makes it very sexy in my opinion. It isn't cloying or cliched, and it settles down closer to the skin in such an erotic way. As I say, there is a lot about this fragrance that I was surprised by. Performance is around 5-6 hours and it does project but isnt brash or overbearing. As it dries down the eucalyptus fades out and you're left with a predominately patchouli and cedar green smell underpinned by one of the nicest uses of incense I've come across, and anchored with sandalwood richness. The perfumers focused on the black pepper aspects of eucalyptus and patchouli. Dry, peppery, woody, a little herbal. The deep dry-down is a very close wearing black pepper musk that melds to the skin in a way I haven't been smelling in much contemporary perfumery. I don't have anything else like this in my collection and each time I've worn Eucalyptus-Patchouli I've liked it more, finding something new with each wearing. Big fan of this offering.

A green, herbal scent the eucalyptus is the strongest note here, gives it a cooling vibe like a eucalyptus candy. The oakmoss and the patchouli gives it a dark green vibe and the pink pepper a balsamic to it. It's a very pleasant dry earthy freshy scent. Sounds natural I should say! Mix of patchouli and eucalyprus, you can feel both very prominent. Patchouli is not heavy here, I would wear that in summer.

This perfume is actually eucalyptus note, that has been passed through ten filters and its pungency and sharpness have been removed, but its olfactory essence has been preserved. This one is a little like creed, Royal Mayfair perfume. این عطر در واقع اکالیپتوس هست که از ده تا فیلتر رد شده و تندی و تیزی اش گرفته شده، ولی ماهیت بویائی اش رو حفظ کرده این عطر شباهت زیادی به عطر رویال مایفار از برند کرید داره

it my first time to collect such a scent of perfumes, but im amazed with this one. yet its not my line of perfumes but the amount of freshness that comes with it is wonderful...and the dry down is amaaaaazing There is something in this perfume that attracts the nose for some reason...im loving it over all 7.5/10

Loads of eucalyptus in the opening, really camphorous and herbal. Slowly patchouli dials in with spicy and smokey facets. It's not bad actually, possibly even my favorite from the line, but it doesn't really feel like a complete creation. Not sure what to make with this one.

Very bracing and herbal. Not especially perfumey, it feels more like aromatherapy. Not a bad smell at all, it feels very natural and invigorating. But there's nothing "pretty" to it that makes me actively want to wear it.

A pleasant balsamic eucalyptus note, patchouli, and cedar. It sits close to the skin. After everything, it leaves a very subtle woody and grassy scent

Based on the reviews I was hoping this would be a beautiful patchouli smell...maybe even blind buy worthy. This smells like something between grandma's basement and a tomato soup scratch and sniff sticker from 1987. Granted I am only 30 minutes in and have not yet smelled the dry down. Currently however, the is h to the no.

🏚️ The Spell of Decay 🌑 I step into a glass conservatory filled with young eucalyptus trees. The air is fresh and damp, thick with the scent of juicy stems and green leaves. The Highest One has just watered them, and droplets of water glisten on the leaves. The air still carries the scent of incense with pepper and cardamom, which the priestess burns among the plants. The window frames, painted white, gleam in the sunlight. The ritual has begun. Time accelerates. I watch as the plants grow, wither, and fall away. The white paint peels, flaking off in sheets onto the ground. The glass panes become overgrown with moss at the speed of a storm. The cedar frames rot, the wood darkens and cracks. The earth beneath my feet grows damp and heavy, smelling of patchouli and decay. The fresh moisture vanishes without a trace. After a moment, the conservatory is a ruin. The eucalyptus is gone. All that remains are dirty, green panes, moss on the walls, and the smell of wet, old earth. After a moment, the conservatory is already in ruins. The eucalyptus trees have vanished. The opening is a fresh eucalyptus that I don't love and brings to my mind pectoral balms for colds, but the drydown is tremendously interesting. It is, as its name indicates, a mixture of eucalyptus and patchouli with an important presence of incense and sweet woods. The balsamic freshness of eucalyptus and cedar lightens the patchouli and makes it perfect to wear even in summer. It has a moderate sillage and lasts more than 12 hours on my skin. It is totally unisex. Due to its drydown combo of smoky incense and cedar, I find a certain relationship, although it lacks its citrus and spicy notes and is somewhat softer, with Quetzaly by Daniel Josier. I think I would use it on the same occasions, summer days when I want to smell like incense and I'm looking for an energizing aroma, with a certain elegance, so I won't include it in the collection at the moment, but I think it is a very good perfume. Furthermore, Josier's proposal, even though it has a very similar price per ml, allows us to choose the 50 ml format compared to the 100 ml format, which is the only one available at Bohoboco. The house does good juxtapositions between incense and fresh. Olibanum Gardenia has a soapy vibe with the lime and coconut / florals. This frag has greenness and menthol from the eucalyptus and other greenness from a clean patchouli. First time I sampled I didn’t know what it was, but second time and it’s interesting. I far prefer Olibanum Gardenia, but I’m just not used to this frag or a dominant eucalyptus note.

At first: Aromatherapy. Very bright, heady, green and camphoraceous. I got a decant of this because I love eucalyptus, but after about an hour or so, it's mostly patchouli. The patchouli is pretty clean, and supported by woody notes. After 8 hours or so, all that's left on my skin is a very strong dose of ISO E Super. Not bad, but I don't love it.

A stunning patchouli accompanied by the balsamic note of the eucalyptus, there is also a bitterish, green background, given by the woods in my opinion. Very strong, essential and fresh, ideal for the summer. Excellent persistence and sillage.

A nice, straightforward aromatic perume. Good for those days when you want a natural non-perfumey option. The pathouli is not the dark and earthy kind, but of the lighter and gentler variety.
