Red Wine Brown Sugar

Bohoboco is my favorite niche house that I've tested so far. They created powerful and avant-garde pieces of art that have the perfect edge between nature and the industrial world. Today is the day of Quinto's first niche review, and this review is about my second most loved fragrance, both from Bohoboco and any niche brand in general This is not a fragrance but a timestamp of a moment. The moment when a fancy dinner becomes a hysterical madness, and you don't know when everything went wrong. It captures the exact flash between the recreation of elites at a fancy, invite-only party and screams, brawls, and panic. Imagine someone splashing ancient and gourmand wine over your white shirt or night dress, and after that, you feel only three things: the smell of the wine, the smell of your anger, and how you slowly enter berserk mode It's in fact photorealistic wine that, for some reason, smells odd, almost psychedelic, and maniacal. The alcohol of the fragrance itself steps out to support wine made of red grapes, with hints of cherry and smoldering wood. It intoxicates me and spins my head in the most elegant way. And the odd hints are what make it not just a wine but something more evil, on the edge of being here and completely detaching from the world The only fragrance I tested with a similar profile is BORNTOSTANDOUT Purple Stain. While being less expensive and much less powerful in comparison with BTSO's Extrait, this one substantially outperforms it. Purple Stain can be described as the smell and texture of sparkling wine with a prominent fizz of bubbles. Here you get a much clearer smell of fancy red wine with slightly burnt sugar and a polite leather note, like from a luxury purse. This is the smell I want to share with the world. I want to hear it on myself, my lady, friends, people I don't know - everywhere. Extremely powerful, alluring, and addicting. Definitely night-oriented, leaning more toward fancy dinners, parties, and dates. I don't drink alcohol, but this one is my alcoholism.

Red Wine Brown Sugar by Bohoboco is a nice and realistic wine fragrance that is super rare especially when done correctly just like fragrance as it smells like you in a work of art composed by one of the world's best artists. The wine note makes it a beautiful fragrance as it takes an original and basic fruity accord and enhances it to make it way more boozy and authentic using a red wine note. The dry down involves a super sweet brown sugar note as marketed on the bottle and it too is very authentic and gives this fragrance a boost of sweetness and overall makes it more unique and interesting. There is also a hint of caramel to give the sweetness from the brown sugar note an extra pop but that just could be me. Its price value is amazing as well at $185 retail and for a very niche fragrance that is amazing as it can be such a good fragrance for a bargain for more mature fragrance enthusiasts. Its longevity is substantial as well as it lasts around 8 hours which is outstanding for a fragrance that includes fruits and boozy notes as they don't usually last long the sillage is quite strong but nothing special so don't expect something crazy from this fragrance. Overall this fragrance is a super sweet wine fragrance and while I can understand all the comments saying this smells like a Mother's Wine club. This was a blind buy and I was really excited on the red wine note, as in the name. When first sprayed i immediately smelled the wine note, but it faded fast. It becomes a dark, soapy and leathery smell, it has a vintage/nostalgic makeup vibe, which I'm not disappointed about. It reminds me of my mom's box of makeup, in the early 90's, mixed with a sweet note. I don't smell raspberry, not in a fruity tart way, at least. I can stretch my imagination to a mellow glüwine/mulled wine. It's a sophisticated and grown-up perfume, and to me it's a feminine scent. Not sure about this on a warm sunny day, but I can see it as a night time scent, during fall/winter. Haven't let it sit for long, only about 30 mins so far, so i have to come back later for the dry down. Edit: after a while it had a brief moment with red berries, still not tart, and then evolved more into a leathery scent, making it more masculine. Soo.. i sprayed it on my chest (under my sweater) after a couple of hours, instead of on my arm. Now the raspberries and red berries really came through. Less red wine this time, but vaguely there. The perfume is growing on me, from like to love. Still same powdery 90's makeup smell, but with a fruity red wine over tone. I feel like wearing black velvet, sleek hair and black eyeliner and a red lipstick.

I genuinely smell every single one of the notes listed which never happens for me. Photorealistic red wine into sexy incense into long lingering salty caramel that's never sweet. Really tasty, totally unique, borderline vampiric without being too weird. Like you're drinking a vermouth on the rocks in a cool bar and it's loud and heady and someone is smoking a cocktail with wood chips and your partner is kissing your neck. I was so floored by the power of the sample that I immediately bought a full bottle, only to find that the performance isn't the same and it's almost flatter, less nuanced. I am wondering if they have formula inconsistencies now, reading others' varied experiences with longevity. For the price I'm a little pissed, this would be a signature for me if it lasted longer, but I still really love it and I'm hoping it'll get better with time, like fine wine.

A grown up fruity fragrance BUT even though it has SUGAR in the title - it is NOT a celebrity scent. Great fragrance for SPRING SUMMER. Fruity, slightly sharp, and a little darkness to tone down the cheer. Kenzo World, Guess 1981 Indigo and this are all the same type of scent - wine & berries. I adore all 3 - Guess=lighter, Bohoboco=deeper and Kenzo=Zotz feeling. I picture the person wearing this to have a little devil & an angel on their shoulders, sitting outside during festivities in 80+ degrees - slightly sunburned shoulders & face, wearing flip flops, yoga pants and a tank (all for casual wear / not to actually work out) - wondering if they should stay or go now cuz if they do there will be trouble and if they don't there will be double.
