To a reviewer below saying that this is a very perfumey perfume, I really agree with that idea. This perfume will tell everyone that you are wearing perfume, a good one. This garners compliments and compliments when I wear it. This perfume opens with a grainy concoction of something sweet, marine, sticky... beautiful and unique. Unique is one word to describe this one as the DNA is not something you can come across at any random perfume. The elegant blue juice later adds the agreable impression of how this one smells like you are eating something sweet, joyous, delicious and fell asleep by the shore when the sun just at the right warm temperature... and woke up when it has sunk. The dried sweets now covered in a thin and peculiar sea breeze... I have always been intimidated by sweet perfumes, but this one won't be a big of a deal... I don't know why... This might be strong when you first sprayed it, but I think this will never cloy. The bottle is really nice and the velvet cap really adds the cherry on top.

I love this. It's salty and elegant and completely unique. The saltiness cuts the caramel sweetness and prevents the whole thing from going full gourmand. This smells like swimming on Cape Cod (or whatever non-tropical body of water you happen to be closest to) on a scorching summer day, then quickly showering off most of the sand and immediately going out for dinner/drinks. Maybe you still have seaweed stuck to you somewhere. There's definitely sand, but most of all, if you lick your arm (you've had QUITE A FEW drinks, ok??), you taste of salt. That's this. It's a masterpiece.

To me this is perfect summer in a bottle. Luxurious grown up seaside lounging. The name reflects the scent to the point and the composition is very well rounded, so that nothing sticks out and blends heavenly with the skin and hot summer. Sweet just enough to be warm and cosy, salty enough to be soft and tender, refreshing and inspiring as the sea breeze. Nothing adolescent about this perfume, pure sophistication. So far it is the best salt caramel perfume I own or have sampled. The longevity is great, even outdoors and 50ml bottle of perfume consentration goes a long way.

I really like this. I'm going to have to do another wear test though. I haven't been to Lush in about nine years, but this perfume smells like walking into their stores from what I remember. The caramel in this smells like a "perfumey" caramel and not a sticky caramel, but both "perfumey" and sticky caramel are great imo. I think I'm going to full size this eventually. Gorgeous bottle design as well.

So happy to finally add this to my collection! I smelled a sample a while back and wasn’t a fan because it had too strong of a cologne smell to me, but I revisited several months later and my mind was completely changed. It smells like a day at the beach in the salty waves with a touch of ocean breeze and a sweetness from the caramel. Definitely my favorite summer perfume

100% a unisex fragrance. Smells of fresh sea or even ocean with a very noticeable touch of salt.And at the back I feel jasmine with caramel.Very fresh,daily wear for summer vibes or even beach.But somehow I feel it will open even better in winter. Lovely and unique scent.

this smells like a salty day at the beach, playing in the waves and then letting the sun dry you off. the caramel adds a subtle sweetness that compliments the salt and sea grass perfectly. i will definitely be buying a full bottle of this!!

Great scent for a spring/summer day. Unique but pleasant caramel boosted by sea salt sits perfectly on skin.

A unisex fragrance with many facets. It opens with a distinct note of salt and pink pepper, lightly drizzled with lemon juice. After a while, bay leaf and seagrass emerge, bringing a green, aromatic character with an almost seaside feel. There is very little jasmine here, it serves merely as a subtle backdrop, a gentle whisper. In the base, a dry, unsweetened caramel comes through, appearing and disappearing like a glimmer of light on water, tempered by sea salt and resting on a soft woody foundation. This is a gourmand in a completely different guise, more salty and windswept than dessert like. The scent is very pleasant, yet distinctive. When I close my eyes, I see myself barefoot, in shorts and a linen shirt, walking along the shore on a windy, sunlit day. The air carries the aroma of warm sand, salty sea breeze, and caramel drifting from a little food stall by the beach. Longevity is around four hours. The projection is moderate at first, gradually becoming close to the skin, like a holiday memory that lingers just for us.

Sea breeze, salt, seaweed, and a sweet little twist. First things first: this is not a caramel-heavy fragrance, and honestly, that’s a relief. That kind of sugary density would’ve been unbearable in the summer heat. What you get instead is a salty-skin-meets-sunscreen vibe, with just a hint of freshness. It smells like it belongs on a beach towel at golden hour. There is a synthetic plastic note lingering underneath, something like a Barbie doll heads. It’s not very long-lasting, and there’s definitely a youthful, even childish feel to it. Still... I liked it. It’s quirky enough to earn a spot in my collection. A warm, salty sea breeze hits my face. My dad is blowing up my floaties while my mom smooths sunscreen over my back. I bring the vinyl to my nose: that faintly sweet, synthetic smell. This is definitely my favorite of the perfumes in the discovery set. It's light and sweet, but not overwhelmingly sweet; I definitely get the sea salt note. It's not as funky as some others have described, at least on me. I put it on at about 10:30 am and it had mostly faded by 2pm, so not a ton of longevity. Projection is normal, about arm's length, but it's subtle enough that it doesn't get a lot of comments. However, I do notice it on myself throughout the day, and it's nice. Overall, light, sweet, and refreshing. I'd say there's about a 10% chance that I'll find myself thinking about this scent after I've used up my sample and end up buying a full bottle.

It’s summer - but it’s summer by the seaside in Britain with the wind whipping your hair and salty sea air invading your nostrils. It’s soft and airy, lightly floral and aquatic, no harsh screechy notes here. The cedar is a nice contrast to the caramel which to me only comes out gently and on the dry down. Fresh, office friendly, a little bit different to other summer salty gourmand offerings. If you’re looking for a sugar bomb this isn’t the one. If you’re looking for something that stands out without shouting this is perfect.

I wish the ingredients were more qualitative in this, because it's not a bad smell. Definitely unisex, I don't see any gentleman having this as their masculine signature scent. It reminds me quite a lot of JPG Le Beau Paradise Garden. Great to wear at the beach when trying to act all playboy with the ladies.

The opening is kinda chemical, smells like what I imagine perfumed lake frogs would smell like. The dry down however smells soo good and musky sweet, like pure comfort so I bought it in spite of the first notes. Also doesn't smell like anything I’ve smelled before so that’s a plus.

This an interesting combo of scents. Like eating salty caramel chews on the beach. Surprisingly more marine/aquatic than I was expecting. The caramel is apparent, but not overly sweet. I would also consider this unisex, but masculine leaning.

Jasmine-forward, slightly salty/citric and creamy/sweet. It’s fresh and clean, not gourmand as the notes and name might have you believe. It’s a pleasant, feminine-leaning floral scent, but nothing groundbreaking imo.

This is beautiful and very unique. The prettiest caramel I have encountered in fragrances. The base is especially lovely, to me it smells like light brown sugar with a hint of vanilla and cedar.

its really interesting that i don’t smell caramel at all.. for me its mainly white floral, like expensive hotel soap. very chic

When I first got my sample back in sept/oct, i think i liked the scent but thought the longevity was weak. When I sampled the vanilla pepper one by this same brand I liked it a bit, and it resembled Eau Duelle with just a great peppery note, but not worth the cost of a bottle. I then tried the Carmel one on a couple days (again) after my review of the vanilla one and felt it actually did project decently and had better longevity l Now it’s been 2 months since, and I decided to spray some of the remaining sample left on my wrist before bed. Though it had only been 2.5 hours since, its projection and longevity is better than first two times. I wanted to like it cause I like aquatic sweet scents, and you do get whiffs of caramel here and there and the coconut, but it turns powdery, and its unimpressive to say the least. I think it has to do with the fact that I’ve been on a whole sampling mission and trying different scents daily, and when I first smelled this it was one of the first 5 samples I tried out of many others. It’s too bad cause it could have had potential- notes look promising etc, but after all is said and done I’ve been spoiled by trying other scents that have made me swoon vs this where its...l.eh? It’s not bad, it’s not offensive, but it’s not special. Perhaps in the warmer months it would smell much better but it’s jest too powdery for me, I’m about to scrub it off before I get to sleep.

Best opening yet, I can't even put my finger on what note got my attention immediately after spraying my wrist. It was gone before I knew it, replaced by superbly sweet dulche de leche. It dried down rather quickly to a very powdery, pretty generic skin scent that had me checking if it was my hand cream that I was constantly smelling. Too sweet for me—I don't care much for gourmand fragrances—but possibly the most interesting Bohoboco fragrance so far.

This is a very intriguing fragrance ! It opens with a supremely aromatic blend, dominated by bay leaf, jasmine and sea salt. The scent reminds me of a breezy day by the seaside; fresh and invigorating. Despite its notable semi-sweetness, I don’t immediately think of caramel when smelling this fragrance. It’s not a bad scent at all, though I can’t help but agree with another reviewer who noted it has a similar vibe to how Lush stores smell.

Pretty much what you'd expect from the notes, except I get more vanilla than caramel. A nice true warm vanilla mixed with a marine note that gives it a soapy/bubble bath quality--a big bubbles, foaming body wash vibe rather than a creamy, thick-foaming soap. Hand soap from a seaside gift shop. It's nice but bland, kind of commercial & mass-appeal vibes, not what I'd think of as a fragrance-lover's fragrance

Mostly white floral, with just a whisper of caramel sugar sweetness. Lively and bright. Conjures images of lounging on white sand beaches. Would wear this on warm (but not sweltering) summer days. Too floral for me, not terribly unique, but I appreciate the style.

This is way more peppery and weirdly spicy than I expected. It's still a bit sweet and salty, but overall the scent confuses me and it's not at all what I expected. It 100% smells like walking into a LUSH or sniffing the candle section at Homegoods...

Tested on skin from vial. I like their Wet Cherry, but this didn't pan out. To my nose - sweet kid's shampoo. Could be white florals that did me in - I don't like that much and find them overpowering, at least here.

Name has nothing to do with the fragrance I don’t get any salt or caramel

Bohoboco Sea Salt Caramel sounds like it should be delicious, interesting and addictive. Sea salt and caramel can be a beautiful combination when done well. Here, it's not the case. The opening tries to be salty and citrusy, but instead it feels cloying, heavy and suffocating. I do not really get that clean sea salt effect at all. The caramel is also not smooth, creamy or edible; it smells old, stale and strangely unpleasant, like sweetness that has gone bad. Instead of balance or gourmand pleasure, I mostly get a messy sweet cloud that becomes tiring very quickly. This is absolutely not a safe blind buy and I would never recommend it to someone without testing first. Actually, I would not recommend it at all. It is too specific, too heavy and to my nose, simply not enjoyable. The worst part is that the performance is unfortunately good. It stays for hours and only after around 12 hours does it finally become a soft, gentle caramel skin scent. That late stage is the only part I can tolerate. Everything before that feels like being trapped in a toxic, suffocating relationship between spoiled caramel and imaginary sea salt where both sides bring out the worst in each other.

Wow, this changes rapidly from when it is first applied to when it dries down - morphing quickly from weirdly sweet, to marine, to floral, to something else... However once it's dry, this is an oddly synthetic sweet scent that has just enough jasmine that it is definitely not for me. I suppose I can see what they were going for with the combination of sweet floral and salty marine notes. And while it is fairly unique, it's just not something I want to wear. If you kind of lean towards that sweet plastic note, give this a try. Otherwise, you may want to steer clear.

OK, so this one was a VERY quick “nope” for me. Basically, on me, the salt and caramel never actually meet — they just sort of glare at each other from opposite sides of the room. The opening is strangely off, the blend just never smooths out, and then the whole thing sits in this awkward sweet-but-salty limbo that my skin absolutely refused to cooperate with. Honestly, it is not terrible, just... not wearable for me. Sample first — this one is chemistry roulette.

Ordered a sample from luckyscent. Idk if there’s something wrong with the sample I got but I’m not getting any of the sweetness. To me it just smells like Beach by Bobbi Brown with more floral and green notes. It’s ok.

Such promising notes, sea salt, caramel, bay leaf - sounds like a meditteranean caramel drizzled dream, however this smells soo artificial, synthetic and just plain awful. The florals in it are terrible. It is very strong and projects well but it's so far removed from what I expected this to be. To me it is a car freshener with such heavy unbearable "summer" notes. A scrubber.

This is deceiving. It's named Sea Salt Caramel. I expected a salty caramel. But instead this smells like clean laundry. Or like a marine-scented candle. It's unpleasant. If you want a clean, salty, fake-marine scent this is it. But it's not sweet or caramel.

🌊 Caramel Dissociation in a Baltic Port 🍬 A port before a storm has its own smell. Every fisherman knows this. Salt thickens in the air, seaweed starts to stink differently, the rubber from the buoys somehow releases its scent more through the moisture. I'm standing here, chewing on a caramel candy, watching the darkening horizon. And suddenly I feel that something's off. Not with the weather. With the air. This salt - why is it so intense? This rubber - why so pronounced? This caramel - is it just the candy in my mouth, or is there something more hanging in the air? This weirdness is no accident. A port before a storm is weird - it's that feeling that something's about to happen, that nature is doing its thing, and you're just a small man with a caramel between your teeth and a question in your head. Salt stings my eyes. Baltic, mineral, merciless. Somewhere nearby someone left a bouquet of white flowers - maybe at a sailors' memorial, maybe someone threw them off a ship - and these flowers do something sick with the salt and rubber. Instead of smelling nice, they start to resemble the black fenders on mooring lines, port tires, everything that's rubber and wet. I keep chewing this caramel, mechanically. The caramel is there, but like from a distance - as if someone's making candy a kilometer away and the wind sometimes brings the scent. It's not sweet. It's... weird. The sky cracks, first drops fall, and I still don't know what the hell is going on. 🌊 @the.scent.files

This fragrance surprised me. I was expecting a salted caramel perfume, a hyper sweet gourmand with a touch of salt. It is, however, the opposite: a marine perfume (but without the note of calone or any fruity aspect), airy, fresh and clean, with a very light background of caramel and other notes in the composition that makes it interesting. It is a perfume with evolution, clearly passing through a sparkling and spicy top of lime and pepper and a first phase in which salt and a certain smell of seaweed accompany the caramel. Soon a floral heart of jasmine appears, with an aromatic counterpoint of laurel replacing the smell of seaweed. This part of the perfume is the one that seems most elegant to me, even with a classic touch. As the hours go by, the composition sweetens until practically only the caramel remains, which, however, is not heavy at all. On my skin it has a moderate projection and lasts about 7-8 hours. I find it completely unisex. Like other fragrances from the house, I think it is quite original and I think it is a very particular and interesting perfume, perfect for wearing in warm seasons, a perfect halfway between classic and informal. In my experience, this house has very peculiar fragrances and this has turned out to be one of my favorites from their discovery set. I was so excited to finally smell something from this Polish perfume house. I was so surprised to smell their "sea-salt caramel" and quite unpleasantly so. I agree with many of the reveiws here: - the most prominent notes are marine - followed by aromatic and spicy notes - there's a prominent pepper note here, the lemon and bay leaf are also very strong - synthetic and vaguely "perfumey" - extremely masculine - the caramel is almost totally lost for me - nothing gourmand whatsoever, or creamy, about this fragrance. What a very odd perfume indeed. May appeal to many people but absolutely not a blind buy. A perfume that absolutely gets the sea-salt and caramel combination perfect - and I mean specifically sea-salt and caramel and not just salted-butter caramel - is : Glasshouse (Australian brand) - A Tahaa Affair Devotion Eau de Parfum, which oddly is not listed on this website. Amazing perfume and absolutely gourmand.

Very perfumey. That was my first impression. Maybe it's the floral fighting with the salt. Oddly enough, not really synthetic, as the notes feel more natural. Reminds me of those old-school scents that scream "perfume!" but you know that oils mixed that way. This isn't sweet at all. I smell the salt note more, and that marine note, with just a hint of caramel. This is quite interesting in drydown, but I think that calling it Sea Salt Caramel is a bit misleading. There's quite a bit of dry herbal in it as well. I"m not sure what to think of this. Intriguing, but not really easy to wear. I'm wearing this a bit longer, and it's not fading much, so this one is quite potent on me. I can't stop sniffing it, but it's still oddly disturbing to me. I think I'll test it again, later, to see if I've changed my mind.

i wish this scen wouldn't bring back sad memories of my mom's passing. i was using it back then when she took her life and this scent will never smell good to me again, though i did love it at first. now, that years have past, i came across it at perfumery and still...nope....not a chance to wear it->immidiate flashback to that horrible day. it did smell original, rich, elegant and different than any other perfume and i remember that the lasting power was more than enough. if you're looking for a unique frangrane that will make eyes turn this one is definitely it. may it bring joy to anyone like it once did to me. very very very well blended and highly recomended fragrance. work all year both day & night.

The way Bohoboco names their fragrances drives me nuts because they can make the wearer expect something that they may not pick up from the fragrance. The problem is that you then have to overcome a feeling of confusion before deciding whether you like the fragrance or not. So, now to my review of the actual juice: This is an excellent marine-citrus-aromatic fragrance. I love wearing it during the summer in my hot climate. I like this much more than other marine fragrances, maybe because the base notes are more "mellow." I get very low sweetness from this fragrance, so the 'caramel' is misleading.

Pleasant, salty marine accords with floral and woody notes. There is a late sweet drydown, but I keep waiting for the caramel. On my skin it never becomes a salty caramel. It stays sweet, raspy, and for some reason it reminds me of a tuberose scent. Maybe Fracas? Fracas with a marine, salty twist. Weird, I know, but the more time I spend sampling this scent the more convinced I am that this is hiding a big fat tuberose, which is trying to survive one more day after being abandoned in a seashore...

Opening: citrussy, reminds me of the beach, very nice citrus without being too sweet it is almost fizzy like a sparkling lemonade, a bit hotel lobby like Drydown: a creamy floral caramel, i can smell the jasmine in this and although it's not my favourite note i can tolerate it in this, tbh the scent is exactly like the name, sea salt caramel that's the vibe it gives off with the white florals and slight caramel in the background which makes it different from other white florals

To me this is a sea side fragrance, but not the tropical, Caribbean one, it reminds me rather of a cold sea. Maybe Baltic sea or North sea... I find this perfume very interesting, although I am not a huge fan of the opening. It can be because of the jasmine, which is a very strong smell for me and I am just not a huge fan of it. Although, I really like the salty caramel base notes. After 1,5 hour the fragrance is very soft, creamy and delicate, but with a good silage.

Wow, I don’t know how people aren’t getting caramel out of this. That’s all I get. I love the listed notes idea, but what I get is browned sugar caramel with full butter. It’s not oversweet, for all that, but it’s definitely pure caramel candy. It is very linear and doesn’t morph at all on me. It's sea salt caramels the whole way without variation. I’m not a huge gourmand lover, though. I was hoping for the sea salt jasmine bay thing.

To me it's first of all white flowers perfume. Yes, with slightly sweet caramel note, salt and very delicate aquatics, but mainly it's about a bright jasmine. Despite the name, I would not call that perfume gourmand. It's creamy, soft and a bit chlorine - like you went swimming into the ocean wearing white crispy just washed shirt, then went out and let that shirt dry under the sun.

I enjoyed the scent. I get a nice ongoing dose of the caramel (with great longevity), but it never comes across as too sweet or a bomb. I don’t think the caramel was perfumey or synthetic. Was a lot more subtle than I was expecting, but was comforting and nice. The salt and other notes are well done. If I had a FB, I can imagine it being an easy grab and versatile.
