Wild Carrot Oud

I get no bergamot in the opening nor any tobacco as it develops. Doesn't matter. This is great. Carrots but in a good way. Like you are pulling some from the ground near a tree line. Lasts several hours. Projection is low to mid. It is just a comforting scent. If you like earthy fragrances, this may be for you. I haven't tried any of the "reminds me of" list except Tiger. I don't see the resemblance. I also like Tiger. Really shocked at the low rating. Yes, earthy scents aren't mainstream and certainly not for everyone. Some of the comments are awesome. I can say that I have never smelled a dead pigeon. Not sure they would smell the same. 🤣 My wife didn't immediately give me a "no". That's a plus. I don't think it is her favorite. I think it is awesome. Not sure I will jump on it due to the price. If someone has a bottle they just have to get rid of, feel free to send it my way.

With all due respect for people that do not like this, it is an absolute unique masterpiece. The carrot blows it all up. The rough smoke is so realistic. True story: when I bought this from a guy, he sat next to me in my car. I opened up the box, took the bottle and sprayed my wrist twice. Immediately I looked to my side where he was sitting because I thought that a**hole had lighted a cigarette in my car. But nope, it was the frag ...as an ex smoker I was baffled and I am absolutely crazy about this frag. I do have to say it is not for every occasion.

Spicy carrot juice, smokey oud, and greasy leather. I am definitely getting the mechanic vibe other people mention, oil and tires. Earthy too. A little challenging if you don’t like oud or leather, but I wouldn’t say it’s off putting. Definitely distinctive and doesn’t try to be pretty - this is for people who value smelling interesting more than pleasant (not that this is unpleasant by any means). I had smelled a lot of perfumes the day I came across this and the rest of the interesting Bohoboco line and it immediately cut through and stood out.

people have forgotten what earthiness smell like after brainwash of fruitchouli, cake, unicorn dust and fake vanilla notes. This is oldschool interesting and I can imagine off-putting for many, especially in the opening. But no-one seems to mention that it settles down in gorgeous orris butter leather. Finest biker jacket texture is sublime to say the least. If you want to survive the opening spray it over something patchouli dominant, it will surprise you how fast and good this gets. Absolute unique and intriguing fragrance. You will keep looking over your shoulder to see who is smoking that well blended cigarette and who baked the carrot cake. Immediately in my top 10 .. 8/10 uniqueness 8/10 man fragrance 7/10 longevity

A very original scent - and I am hugely after its uniqueness. The combo of carrot and oud/leathery notes is amazing - and they remain recognisable from start to finish. Gorgeously smoky, which is its great asset. Love it.

🥕 Mr. Carrot 🖤 No sweet opening, no fresh-pressed juice. Mr. Carrot stands in a soaked overcoat from the very first second, smoking a cigarette and waiting for something that will never come. Someone pulled him out of the ground and didn't even bother to shake off the dirt. He's filthy, wet, caked in clay. Oud has been standing next to him forever. Nobody remembers them ever arriving separately. Cinnamon tries to soften things up, but it's like tossing flowers onto a highway. Bergamot? Rotted long ago. Nobody's seen her around here. This is a terrifyingly potent nature-with-a-vengeance fragrance. It's almost biblical, like what the world might have smelled like at the moment of creation or right after the flood where everything was frantically verdant and desperate to thrive. I don't get cigarettes or halitosis -- just damp earth and vegetation in its most pugnacious and untrammeled form: dirt with brass knuckles. Whether or not it's wearable in public is up for debate, but I do have a certain appreciation for its evocation of nature on steroids.

This is what I was looking for. Definitely the tobaco jumps out at first but quickly then earth then carrots then woods. They all match and nothing over powers the other. It is lining up exactly. I was happy with it until... The leather dominates, and that is all I can smell. Lastly the leather dies down, and smells pretty much like any well behaved leather scent. Isn’t so bad. If I try I can detect the sweetness of the carrot and the earthiness but the leather is the predominant note.

Hmm.. I'm a girl, and on me, it's a super classy, very dry masculine scent. It's almost too much... like as if you were eating 90% chocolate and it's suddenly too bitter. But there are no weird notes, just a bit of tobacco, very dry wood, a bit of lacquer from a museum & something dark.. and a bit of carrot, but not a sweet one... interesting... very gothic.

Very complex and interesting earthy carrot fragrance. For me it's unwearable but still an interesting and sophisticated piece of art. It's like trying to pluck a carrot form the ground and unleashing an earthy carroty storm or being sucked to carrots wonderland by that carrot 🤪

An adolescence spent chewing tobacco, smoking cheap cigarettes and perfumed cigarillos in muddy drainage ditches. Nostalgic, harsh, and dirty. I really enjoy this perfume, however this may be one of the few perfumes where I think I’d be insecure to wear it in public.

I'm really digging earthy notes this fall (pun intended). This one is dusty, dank, and dark--a little bit gravedirt, a little bit "empty lot behind the auto shop." I want to wear this solo (sampled on skin with a few others) & see how it plays on its own

Very original fragrance. The opening with fresh carrots lasts seconds. Then it settles to a hearthy-dark oud. Should definitely try on skin since it is very pH dependent. Performance is ok (6-7 hours) as well as sillage.

I smell mild "plastic" oud and reminanants of a fresh carrot which comes out more as the scent airs out. Throw in some faux leather and a lot of ash, and oh boy; this mix is not it. Somehow, the perfumer brought these elements together into a scent reminiscent of a tire fire. Very much chemistry dependant, I'd skip the strip all together and spray this right onto your wrist. Very, very particular stuff.

I got a sample. To me, this was very smokey, not woody, and I didn't detect the top notes of the carrot until the next morning and significantly into the dry down. I wish I had an atomizer on this sample because I feel like I needed a lot more and better dispersion across my skin.

Oh dear Bohoboco. This is quite easily the worst perfume I've experienced from you to date. It is a very lazy and tired piece of perfumery chud. The way too sweet oud note gets slapped about by a cheap woody smell, like a pimp whacking his walking stick on the hood of a rival pimp's car. They try to pass this woody note off as "carrot". I get ABSOLUTELY ZERO carrot in this scent, and it is supposedly the first top note to notice. If you're after a good carrot scent, take a butchers at 14 Carrots by Heretic. That is how to pull of a scent with carrot in it. If you're telling me that carrot is in a perfume, I WOULD LIKE TO ACTUALLY SMELL IT. CUNT. The price of this perfume (like all Bohoboco scents) is right up there with the ELDOs and the Heretics, but it falls way too short for it to be in that price bracket. It smells very confused, and not as described. If you can tolerate the oud note in this, then your olfactory nerves must be in a state of disrepair, or you have covid. I wanted it off my skin after only 10 minutes of wearing. It took 4 neck scrubs to get it off, before unleashing T-Rex by Zoologist on it to kill it dead. Do not waste your money on this sweet woody mess that masquerades as olfactory art. 2/10. It gets one extra point for at least trying to showcase carrot.

I can say for sure that I would not find this attractive on a male or female. Oud + wood, and a pungent tobacco in the dry down. The oud is quite strong. Maybe this would work as a men's sachet for the closet or clothing drawers but not on a human.

Bohoboco Wild Carrot Oud opens like something that should have stayed buried. The carrot, cinnamon and bergamot are supposed to create some kind of strange earthy-spicy introduction, but actually, it immediately turns into a stale, rotten, wormy wound from a carrot farmer who lost a fight with hygiene. And that is only the opening. As it starts to develop, the oud, dry woods, tobacco and leather come forward, but not in a dark, luxurious or mysterious way. More like a raccoon marking territory it just stole from a skunk. It is animalic, sour, earthy, dirty and genuinely hard to tolerate. Some fragrances are “challenging.” This one feels less like a challenge and more like a threat. I usually try to give fragrances time to develop, but I did not survive more than 30 minutes with this. The smell, not scent, smell was so intense and unbearable that I had to wash it off immediately. Even that was not easy, which made the whole experience feel like a punishment with persistence. This is the only time I selected absolutely nothing under “When To Wear,” because I cannot imagine a realistic situation where this belongs on human skin. This is not a perfume. This is biological warfare with a niche price tag. Definitely not a safe blind buy. Not even a risky blind buy. Not even a buy. If you enjoy smelling like fermented soil, wounded vegetables and animal territory disputes, congratulations, your masterpiece has arrived.

A rounded, resinous amber and leather on the test paper. When you waft the blotter, a lovely sweetness emerges from the earthiness. HOWEVER, ON MY SKIN, it transforms into a heavy, aggressive earthiness that is nowhere near pleasant. While the base note is likeable, it is just not for me. The experience is exactly like sitting in a yellow Comfort DelGro taxi with beaded seat covers on a UV-10 sunny day. Though, can't complain about the sillage because I could not even scrub the scent off.

I tried this in an airport to pass the time whilst waiting to board and it made me even more irritable than is usual when in an airport. Smells nauseatingly earthy and is unbelievably strong, and I don't get any carrot - I had to scrub my hands to get the smell off and even then it still lingered on my skin. Kudos on the beast mode performance, but a shame it's on such an overwhelmingly dirty smelling fragrance.

Base note – extremely prominent – is similar to Diptyque's Kyoto, the same earthy, a bit sweet, a bit fermented feel to it. Pair that with a marijuana-like opening, and you get a mix I wanted to scrub immediately. I dislike this with passion. Hard pass.

Sad I didn’t like this. I typically like each note in this but I think it’s the earthy note that does it in. To me it smells like an old lady that lives in a dank house and smokes cigarettes all day.

A blend of black, burnt leather, harsh and bitter dry woods, soiled with earth and cinnamon, with an oudy accent of sweet industrial enamel. Intrusive. Like a pissed off Terroni. Wash

Although I'm quite attracted to "exotic" smells, this one is just awful. I couldn't imagine a single situation where this fragrance could be wearable.

I will be extremely honest, there’s not much going on here, burnt pipe tobacco and literal human poop. It’s amazing how much like feces this smells.

I had a sample and some others. Bought from seeing Instagram influencers. This is a harsh and smoky fragrance. I will not purchase more here

This makes me physically sick. I had to take Rennie to calm my stomach. I appreciate the originality, but it’s just vile.

If you want to smell like a smoking disposal try this perfume. it reminds me of cuoium orto parisi , same vibes.

Although I really liked Bohoboco's proposals, this one has not won me over at all. Of course this is due to my personal difficulties with the oud note and probably not because it is a bad perfume. As for oud, I distinguish in my particular imagination, far from in-depth knowledge about this raw material, mainly three types: the woody and sweet oud, well balanced, which I love, an oud with an aroma that is usually called "stable" in the community, which I can come to like quite a bit in certain compositions, and, thirdly, the one that is more difficult for me and is the star of this perfume: an oud that smells like petrol, like fuel, like tire rubber, like car lubricant. It reminds me to a garage. The opening of this perfume smells like a warm carrot juice with a pinch of cinnamon and mixed with citrus. But, after a few seconds, the definitive scent of the perfume appears, which to my nose is quite linear, although perhaps gradually losing a certain initial sweetness (perhaps tobacco?), for many hours. It's an earthy scent with a lot of that oily oud that makes it difficult for me to enjoy the fragrance and smoky and leathery aspects. As for the sillage, it is quite notable and lasts 11-12 hours on the skin. My partner told me that it would be a perfect perfume not to attract anyone but to be used as a people repellent hahahahahaha Note to self: even if we enjoy it, it does not seem like a recommendable perfume to wear on a first date. EDIT: With greater olfactory education I have been able to appreciate it even though it is not a perfume I would use. I think that for lovers of oud mixed with leather it can be an excellent alternative due to its originality and sweet background. Imagine sitting in the center of a dirt crater, wearing a thin, slick leather jacket and smoking your favourite brand of carrot. May be something Wile E. Coyote does after another unsuccessful plan goes awry, but I don’t think the wearer would feel like a loser. A spectacle for sure, but the wearer of this is not someone that seeks the approval of others. I dont have an experienced nose and not that many reference points, but the only analogy I can think of is if a mad scientist, who is also a horticulturist, decided to recreate Dior Homme Parfum out of exotic ingredients which are all turned up to 11. The vegetal carrot note replaces DHP’s buttery orris (though it moves closer to Orris butter as it dries down). The leather is non-animalic and whilst the oud is turned way up, it doesn’t go barnyardy or pooey. The woods are a lot more dominant and are a lot more drier (maybe this is the influence of the tobacco). DHP oozes class, sex appeal and has some delectable notes such as chocolate. WCO is a different beast (and performs like one), but I did not find this off putting or super challenging like some of the other commentators have.

Ohh my...gosh. What is this? such a photorealistic experience of a cold musty basement with some water pipeline leaks, with greenish stuff growing in the walls...suddenly a ton of shredded carrot smell combines with the dank...this part is almost pleasant. What a weird scent. I do not want to smell like this but I do appreciate the originality and probably some people will like it. Excellent projection...like a beast! beware when trying this scent...probably you should stay home for that...

So I have to admit when I initially sprayed this on to test, I was afraid. It really smelled like halitosis. But, when I waited about 5 to 10 minutes, it really started to shine. It's a very dry, smoky and bitter fragrance that's reminiscent of A City on Fire but with more character and wood forward. This may have to grow on you to fully appreciate it but do give it a chance. And to echo dzingunyte, it's not mainstream and I can certainly appreciate that.

Very interesting approach to an oud based fragrance. Carrot rooty character with a sharp oud note that transforms into a cigarette smoked tobacco smell. The earthy feel stays with the fragrance most of the way through with the rooty feel disappearing. Will have to sit with this one more.

Opening is a bit off putting. Drydown it's when magic happens. Very unique and original fragrance. Not for everyone's liking. But since I'm tired of mainstream sh*** I appreciate uniqueness of this. Just need to wait till tobacco ashes smell goes away 😁😆😅

this is a very unique approach to oud .... its nose worthy and bottle worthy
