Durocaffe'

I got this as a free sample & took it with me travelling to test a few times to make sure I can leave an honest & accurate review. I didn't look at the notes before spraying, but from the name I guessed it was going to be some kind of coffee forward fragrance. What a surprise! The opening is rose, chocolate, coffee & vanilla with a healthy sprinkle of sugar. I was reminded a little of Hugo Boss The Scent Private Accord, so I sprayed to compare but the latter is sharper with the citrus & ginger, whereas Durocaffe is much smoother, more refined, almost creamy, somewhat reminiscent of an espresso martini. This is a delicious gourmand! Strong projecting, long lasting, & absolutely unisex. In fact, when I came back from my week away, my wife has now taken over the rest of the sample bottle & I look forward to smelling this on her as I did smelling it on myself & off my scarf days after...

Very, very lovely coffee fragrance! On me it opens with marvelous sugar from a glass cane, dark chocolate (and a bit of cacao) with roasted coffee beans. After an hour and half the chocolate note gets secondary seat. I have monstrous sillage for something like 16 hours! On cloths it stays for days. Performance and sillage are expected for perfume extract concentration - used just two sprays. Overspraying Durocaffe will be met with something like very bad noseblindness. You'll stink for people around 😁

In love Been wanting this scent ever since I found out Rosalia used it lol. Its a beautiful sugary coffee scent that isnt overpoweringly bitter. Its balanced perfectly with the sugar and vanilla notes. Before it dried down it smelled a little bit like burnt maple syrup in a good way, kind of like the maple syrup note in A Whiff of Wafflecone by Imaginary Authors. Goth bakery all the way. Absolutely lovely <3

Like having Coffee with bitter chocolate, very nice! Not sweet at all. Very rich and dark. If you want sth sweeter, u could always layer with vanilla scents for sweetness. It's beautiful on its own.

If you like coffee and chocolate go for it is super super beast this small bottle

This is blackstrap molasses and rich espresso coffee. Gorgeous, rich, and thick!

A beautiful coffee fragrance with dark chocolate

FINALLY a good coffee fragrance that people have been asking for, for years now!! It smells like strong bitter coffee, maybe a little bit too bitter because the dark chocolate so that's the only negative. However the coffee is strong and you can barely smell any rose which is a good thing because most rose and coffee fragrances smell like flowers and potpourri or they have way too much vanilla they are a mess. This doesn't have the issue of rose or vanilla, instead it's a very bitter and earthy "umami" coffee smell. It won't be mass appealing or sexy, but this is just for the coffee lovers that want to enjoy the smell of coffee. And yes it does smell a lot like By Killian Black phantom, this one is a little less sweet than Black phantom only because of the rose in here just slightly cuts through the sweetness and it's barely noticeable but it's there feint enough to take away sweetness and add some balance. Don't blind buy this though, you gotta test this one because that bitterness isn't for everyone. Some may even think it smells bad especially woman, most woman aren't gonna like this and you really just have to be a coffee lover to enjoy this scent.

Durocaffe is one of those perfumes which slaps you round the face as soon as you spray it, and will continue to brutally overpower those around you for the entire day. I think it’s great, but it’s not the easiest wear if I’m honest, you have to really love coffee for this one. Of course the coffee is the star, hence the name. It smells intensely bitter, steamy and slightly earthy, as though you’re inhaling the scent of freshly roasted and then ground coffee beans. A sweet touch of sugary vanilla helps to temper this slightly, but pales in strength to the coffee. It’s got that earthy, slightly chocolatey patchouli base furthering that bitterness, resulting in a scent you simply cannot escape from. I think it’s great, an astoundingly unique and innovative creation. For those big on coffee fragrances this will be a hit for you. Whilst I’m enjoying it on my arm, I can imagine I’d have a hard time wearing it - I can’t really imagine when I’d reach for it if I’m being honest. Lovely, but not full bottle worthy for me.

I love the opening! Beautiful coffee and sugar notes plus a hint of dark chocolate! The dry down is not so pleasant though, especially if you are not a patchouli fan. I wish it performed better on my skin. I have quite a few coffee fragrances which project better and last longer - Coffee Addict by Kalotinis which is really similar to Durocaffe and Caffe Ristretto by Montale and both are much cheaper as well. Overall, I do like the smell but I believe there are better options in this segment so I'd not invest in a full bottle.

#1151 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I start every morning in a local coffee shop/bakery and this has the same scent of espresso and chocolate-drizzled croissants. It's very pleasant, not excessively sweet. Solid performance. Dead center unisex. Inoffensive. But do I really want to smell like a coffee-shop/bakery in the office? Do I really want to smell like a coffee-shop/bakery on a date? Is there any venue in which I want to smell like a coffee-shop/bakery? I really can't think of any. But I know some like to smell like a box of chocolates, or fruit candies, or nut covered toffee rolls, or Smores, etc. To each his own. Maybe this one's for you, but it's not for me.

A cheap, syrupy version of what a great coffee-based scent could have been. Smells like e-cigarettes liquid. Doesn't last on my skin, lacks sophistication and complexity. Way overpriced for what it is.

Bitter black coffee and very sweet sugar. A touch of rose and molasses. The people who say this isn't sweet enough are the ones who like fragrances that smell like a straight up dessert.

Coffee beans and dark chocolate, with a tiny hint of vanilla at dry down. This won't work unless you love the smell of coffee. The vanilla, sugar etc is so far in the background for me.

Oh my. My skin must be very different to everyone else’s. Perhaps when I’ve recovered I’ll try again. I don’t usually blaspheme, but when I sprayed this I said ‘oh my god that’s rank!’ (As in strong, unpleasant and undesirable). Bitter, pungent, artificial, overwhelming my senses. I couldn’t wait to wash it off. I don’t know what else to say, simply awful. A sample from Jovoy.

I get a syrupy sweet black licorice vibe from Durocafé backed by a powdery chocolate. The sugar note is obviously stands out, but is sadly eclipsed by the black licorice.
