Marasma

Marasma strikes me as an unexpectedly evocative and refined marine composition. To my nose, it carries clear summer nuances: the impression is reminiscent of the subtle blend between salty sea water and the soft, sweet warmth of sunscreen on sun-kissed skin — both sensual and comforting rather than aggressively aquatic. The mix of bitter notes with pineapple and cardamom creates a contrast that feels remarkably well balanced. That slightly tart brightness, tempered by spice, produces a combination I find genuinely divine and perfectly aligned with my personal taste. It is vibrant without becoming chaotic. Although I am wearing it now in February and it does not feel out of place, I still perceive it as ideally suited to warmer days and summer afternoons, when its marine-solar character can fully expand. Performance is unquestionably STRONG. The projection and sillage are comparable to the powerful creations of Lorenzo Pazzaglia: this is a bold, almost “punch-in-the-face” fragrance with excellent longevity and a pronounced trail. Today I am testing it in the office and it gets noticed... A LOT. However, unlike some Pazzaglia fragrances, which can feel like a dense and sometimes cacophonous explosion of fruity notes, Marasma — paradoxically, considering its name (and the meaning it has, in italian, my mother language) — feels more orderly and composed. The structure appears clearer, more intentional, and ultimately more elegant. As always with Bois 1920, the presentation is simple, yet outstanding. The bottle design and coloring is refined, the cap substantial, and the sprayer above average. This is my sixth fragrance from the house (after Sushi Imperiale, Sacro e Profano, Scorzaforza, Frammenti, and Fondentarancio), and I do not intend to stop here. Bois 1920 has quickly become one of my preferred brands, also thanks to a consistently excellent quality-to-price ratio.

What a beautiful thing! I was just at Excense in Milan and this was one of the perfumes that stole my attention at the event. For me, the name of this could be Atlantic Pineapple! Even two days after my arrival in Rome it stuck out like crazy from my jacket. 10/14

This is sexy, not in a youthful way but refined, summery, playful, elegant, and well-constructed perfume, not scritchy nor intrusive, rather welcoming and embracing juice, you'll love it, no BS comments, because I don't really care if anybody disagrees with me...

A lovely fragrance as long as you can live with the potent artemisia note. A bright citrusy opening descending slowly towards a soft woody resolution. Reminds me of L’Eau d’Armoise by Serge Lutens but with greater heft, complexity and staying power.

very salty, very sweet, maybe a bit too much for me. insane projection and longevity

Not into it - initial smell is identical to those rubbers (erasers) that girls used to collect at shcool that were all scented. Nice memory blast but extremely "girly". Then it quickly changes to smelling more like sweets - those banana sweets, or the fried egg sweets. And then it rapdily goes into the classic mango and sticky rice smell and seems to just stay there. Kinda gross. If you want to smell like a Barbie doll's hair, go for it.

To me this smells like if you mixed megamare with coconut, it's creamy to me but less seaweedy/marine than megamare. Much less ambroxan than megamare, honestly this is pretty good it takes the good things about megamare and tones down a lot of the bad things about it then improves it with the creamy coconut smell
