Bois Richeux 1178 is a natural fragrance, composed of the aromatic herbs grown in the Medieval Garden of Bois Richeux, and containing neither dye nor preservatives. 1178 contains high quality pure and natural oils, that have stimulating and mood improving qualities. It might sound like just another herbal aromatic fragrance, but it is not. It's one of those rare fragrances that shift from aromatic in the top notes to somewhat gourmand in the base. The herbs shift from fresh and green to dried in the base. It's so well blended that it's quite difficult to tell the most noticable notes. The amber gives sweetness to the fragrance, but it's all sprinkled with a mixture of aromatic herbs, making it different and original. Woody notes perfectly balance the composition. 1178 is truly unisex. It's slightly sweet, slightly aromatic, slightly fresh, slightly oriental. It's one of my favorite autumn fragrances. The staying power is very good.

I love this. My mother bought this from the medieval building that makes it in France and I am trying really hard to make it last. I am not a green/herby perfume kind of person but this so fresh and natural it smells so fresh like you are lying in a garden full of freshly cut herbs. Nothing is cloying or headache inducing, you can tell it is a fresh and well made perfume not full of synthetic fragrances. It is wonderful! At first it is a little too herby but the dry down is great, it settles nicely
