005 Riviera Absolue

This is just so beautiful! I have a mini parfum of this, but I definately need to get a full bottle of this. At the opening it leans a bit more masculine to my nose, but it quickly turns into an absolutely unisex citrusy/ minty/ green fresh spicy fragrance. I love how the notes are not coming at once in this, it’s nicely built up. My favourite part is when the ginger kicks in with the cardamom (it happens in 5-10 minutes max) and from that it is continuously developing into a sweeter but still fresh, cozy, calming and relaxing fragrance. Oooo my God, I was planning to write this review as it reminds me of something sooo much, but I couldn’t name it and hoped that someone will help me out, BUT i finally have the name, it is similar to Ginger Piccante from Guerlain, without the Rose note, I don’t say they are dupes, but the spiceiness, the sweetness, the “quality”/“vibe” is very similar imo. 005 is smoother maybe. Love it so much 🥰

Just got my bottle. Mark my words, this is going to take off this summer. It’s like a slightly more fruity and earthy Imagination or L Homme Ideal Forte. I don’t get fizzy ginger in this Like Tygar or Vibrato but it’s a more dirty citrus but somehow still clean and fresh. I’ll let you know about longevity but the smell is so good, it honestly doesn’t matter much to me. This will likely be my summer signature scent for 2026. This is also my first from Bon Perfumeur. I’ll be checking out some others. It came with samples of, 502, and 602. I ordered direct from their site and it arrived in two Days in NJ.

I got this perfume in lohdon and fell in love with it at first sniff. It opens up with theis citrus frizzyness that has a sweet and aromatic lime and tomato leaf. Now, my praise ends there because the perfume simply does not last. I spray it on my skin, and it becomes a skin scent in about 30 minutes. I think the total duration is about two hours, and it does not project much. It's unfortunate because, with how much you spend, you want the perfume to last, especially in the summer, where the heat has more dry down. It's a beautiful scent, but it can't last more than 2 hours on my skin.

Opening was really promising. A tiny bit reminiscent of Ingenious Ginger - less sweet, fresher, more sparkling and somewhat green. Unfortunately - few minutes later it all turned to a generic, dense and heavy ambroxan bomb. After reading all the praise from Fragrantica writers, this left me disappointed.. I guess I was hoping for more of the caviar lime’s sparkle and fizziness. Maybe for a bit more elevated Bohemian Lime, but this is not it. I also find it way too heavy for summer heat and if I would ever wear this in public (I doubt I ever will), then rather in spring and autumn. I have no idea what freshness and airiness have been Fragrantica writers smelling in this. This smells neither like summer, nor like French Riviera. This smells like men’s locker room in a gym. I generally like Bon Parfumeur, but this is a step in wrong direction. synthetic mess that smells waaaay cheaper than it is. Cardamom? Neroli? Tea? Olibanum? If they are there then very deep under the thick layer of ambroxan.
