603 cuir, encens, fève tonka

I am increasingly appreciating leather in perfumery. When I first sprayed 603, I felt such a relief. It offers a spicy, aromatic, green, incense fragrance enveloped by the smoothest leather accord I've experienced so far. The scent is rich, piney, and deep, yet it’s not overpowering. In fact, 603 is subtle, comforting, and classy. So, how does this fragrance feel to me? It opens with a hint of spicy lemon and features a clean, green violet note that is incredibly enticing. There's a smooth leather accord, alongside sweet and slightly dusty tonka bean. The incense is prominent, complemented by a forest-like scent from the cypress. As it dries down, it becomes resinous and sweeter. The longevity is decent, lasting 6-7 hours on the skin with soft projection for the first two hours, after which it becomes more intimate. 603 is gorgeous and grounding for me—an invitation to walk into the woods and reflect deeply within myself.

I tested this perfume multiple times now and I am loving it more and more. After the citrusy opening dissapears I get a floral scent that to my nose is extremely close to Narcotic Venus by Nasomatto. I know it doesn't share any notes but every time that's what it reminds me of. I don't like leather as a note very often in perfumery but it's smooth and quiet here, well blended with the creamy and warm tonka beans. It has freshness overall from the violet leafs. In my opinion that's what makes this perfume more versatile. This could be worn during the day or night in the autumn, winter but personally I would wear it on a cooler spring day too.

A solid option from Bon Parfumeur. Masculine leaning, but I would wear this for sure. Sweetened smokey ambery leather with a citrus opening. Not overly aromatic. I got prominent incense, although that isn't listed. The scent fits the color of the bottle, if the scent had a color it would be a warmer grey-green. The leather is smooth and in the background, not the heavy leather found in Falcon Leather for example. I get clear labdanum, too. It not very complex or deep but it is well blended. It has moderate performance, not beast mode but an elegant presence which is better I think.

603 is a subtle scent that isn't in your face at first, but rather creeps up on you. Quite weak sillage but make's it a more intimate scent great for dates. Unique in it's own way but nothing too special.
