Bleecker Street

Youtube reviewers would have you believe this fragrance is a great option for spring and I fell for the hype. Dont get me wrong, I do love this fragrance, but the collective classification of this composition as a ‘green’ fragrance is misleading. There is a green backbone but I find it to be more gourmand than green. A green gourmand if there ever was a thing. Its more on the linear side but at the opening I get a nondescript fruity note that one could assume is a combination of the blueberry and jasmine. Its sweet in the opening but I can’t definitely say its similar to blueberry or jasmine but just a vague pleasant sweetness. As it develops, the sweetness remains but fall to the background and a synthetic but smooth violet leaf, oakmoss, suede, caramel and musk blend come forward with a slightly green backbone. Of this combination, the notes that are most prominent to my nose are the violet leaf, suede and caramel with the caramel and suede taking the lead mixing with a creamy musk. Because of the caramel musky suede mix I’d personally consider this more gourmand. To me, although this can be worn during the spring, I wouldn’t classify this as a dedicated spring fragrance. It’s a little too heavy for a warm spring day with the heavier suede caramel and musky notes. To me this is more of a late winter, early spring and fall fragrance. Times during the year where the weather is pleasant but not too warm. If you’re looking for a spring fragrance I’d look more to Chanel Platinum Egoiste, or Dior Eau Savage for example. I do love this fragrance but I think the reviewers on Youtube should stop misleading people. The hype around this fragrance being a quintessential green spring fragrance or ‘King of Spring’ is a long stretch. I highly recommend but just dont fall for the hype folks. Sample first to see how a fragrance will work for your lifestyle and the environment you live in.

"Alexandria Fragrances" was out of their "Emerald Street" and since I had been picking up "Tribeca" on Jomashop I figured I'd get this one as well. (testing on paper) Wow...now this is a fruity booming and loud fragrance! This is so very smooth, but loud and pleasant! I get a very strong woody-fruity feel from this fragrance. The "Violet Leaf" blends perfectly with the "Blueberry" and gives the most refreshing and uplifting fruity-fragrance experience. With this being as powerfully aromatic as it is, I get the feeling that this may not layer well with my creamy vanillas and that I'll have to layer it with a more aromatic and bold aromachem-vanilla instead. I'm perfectly fine with that because it gives me a reason to NOT use "Bianco Latte" for layering with everything...lol. This will be a hit in the Spring of 2024, I'm going to hold on to it until then...well, I'm going to try. I'll probably wind up wearing it before the spring, but if I do...I'll update this review. EDIT: (Impromptu skin test...lol) I didn't make it. Got home from the Death Star and immediately started playing with this fragrance. Got a little on my hands and then let the wife smell...SHE LOVED IT!! She actually threatened to steal it, so I know it's awesome! Put a spray on each inner elbow and WOWIE...this is N-O-I-C-E !!! This is majestic! More green and fruity than I could have desired, Woodier than "Dead Sexxy" but much MUCH rounder, Smooth as silk, Powerful as a bull and everything I dreamed it would be! Needless to say, I'll be wearing this to work tomorrow layered with "Sweetly Known". :D

I'm going to come right out and say it; This is a jacked up version of Ralph Lauren's Purple Label. That's WHY I'm getting it. I love Purple Label but the performance is pretty dismal. I tried a couple of decants of Bleecker Street just to be sure and yeah, I'm sure. The price is a bit stupid but that smell is just too good. This one of those frags that even though you know it's wrong you still gotta get it. *****will come back and update on arrival***** EDIT/UPDATE: Okay, I've had it for a few days now and have gone back and forth with the Ralph Lauren. Yes, they are slightly different when compared side to side but not enough to say they are significantly different. They smell like two different "strengths" of the same fragrance. The Bond frag is just stronger. That lavender and blueberry top is what keeps me coming back though and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. I'm an east coast kid (50 yrs ago maybe) and blueberries have always been something I love since my earliest childhood memories eating wild blueberries with my cousins until we got sick. No regrets though. I'll wear this anytime, day or night and it's just a fresh, clean and elegant scent that fits with anything from jeans to a suit. Fragrance - 9/10 Strength - 7.5/10 sillage - 7.5/10 Longevity - 8/10 Overall I recommend this but have to dock it a point for the price. A sturdy 8/10 minus the cost variable.

Finally getting around to writing up my collection, and figured I'd start with one that earns its spot every year — Bleecker Street. This one's a bit of an odd duck in the best way. It opens green and cool, that violet leaf really leading the charge, with a blueberry note that pokes through for the first 15-20 minutes before it politely bows out. After that it settles into a clean green-woody thing with a soft suede underneath that keeps it from feeling like a basic freshie. Yeah, it lives in the same neighborhood as Ralph Lauren Purple Label, but Bleecker has a little more body and better legs on the skin, so I reach for this one. For me it's a locked-in summer scent. It actually breathes when it's hot out instead of collapsing, stays crisp, and never tips into that sticky sweetness. That's exactly what I want when it's 90 degrees and everything else feels like too much. Performance is the sneaky type. It's not a room-filler, but it hums along close to the skin for hours and the people who do catch it always do a little double take trying to place it. Longevity's genuinely impressive for something this fresh and green. Only real knock is the price, which stings for a fragrance this breezy. But it's unique enough that nothing in my rotation really replaces it. Easy 9/10 and a permanent part of the warm-weather lineup.

This one makes me very happy. It embodies a certain innocence. Not a mawkish innocence, but rather one that makes me yearn for the best things of every season: The new greenery and flowers of spring. The boardwalks and kiddie pools of summer. Having some ice cream with a friend or lover during an autumn sunset. Window shopping for Christmas presents in the snow of the city. This fragrance envelops me with the best feelings that the best experiences of life have to offer. Bleecker Street is not dated in any sense of the word, but something about it makes me, a man of 27 years, want to take a walk or hop a trolley to the corner drugstore for an ice cream soda. It takes me to places I've never been. Places I never want to forget. I have sampled both RL Purple Label and Bleecker Street and while both are VERY similar, the latter holds something a bit extra. More oomph and more zeal. I detect mainly blueberry, cedar, and a little violet before I completely lose myself in its transportive nature. Sillage is very good. It radiates and lingers in the air wonderfully. Longevity is 8+ hours per application. This is a great scent for anyone, male or female, who understand the joys that the innocent simplicities of life can bring.

In my mind, I'd thought I'd reviewed this and to my own amazement I hadn't. When I read the description of the notes, along with the comparisons on a number of sites, this became a ‘must-try’ experience. The first spray was the big reveal, and what a reveal it was. Top notes of violet leaf, blueberry and thyme, followed by heart notes of cedar wood, intensely sweet/fruity jasmine and peppery/vanilla cinnamon. The base composed an ending of oakmoss, suede, patchouli, amber and vanilla. I began with the first scent of Bond at nearly noon. By 9PM, the Bond on my wrist was still going strong, it was truly a powerhouse. It's easy to see how this can become a favorite, and it's a great fallback for me on mornings when I just can't decide what to wear. There are comparisons between Bleecker and Ralph Lauren Purple Label, and sure enough there is some common ground in the top and base notes. The big issue I have with RL Purple Label, however, is lack of projection and staying power -- if you want to buy the cheaper fragrance and apply it every two hours, Purple Label is a decent substitute. If you want a statement scent, spend the extra money on the Bond and you'll not regret it.

This is a smell, which reminds me of early 21st century, clean, green, airy yet fruity and woody. Masculine for sure, classy and stil playable.. BUT... I bought a bottle this month and guess what it has been watered down till dead. I had a bottle in 2014 and that was a great one. Strong green, mossy fruity smell.. with ambroxan and woody notes that really popped out. If oversprayed it was like pure toxic haha.. but this one even if I overspray it smell like water and Bleecker street mixed with each other. So big disappointment of what it has become, the scent itself is truly amazing, and synthetic which means it’s not a bad thing btw, I mean it’s clear that bond never uses a lots of naturals, but that’s fine as long as the quality and scent profile are unique.. but here we are no quality anymore. 2/10 for me that hard it’s been downgraded. I will wait and macerate the bottle for few months but I don’t have any hopes, as in the past words like maceration where alien kind of words.. it worked directly or it didn’t..

This is one of the most unique easy to wear fragrances I’ve come across. Right away, the blueberry note stands out. It has this sharp, slightly metallic edge that gives it a masculine feel and separates it from typical fruity scents. That sharpness is what makes this work so well. This is the kind of scent you could wear all the time. It is smooth, non offensive, and very easy to like, but still has enough character to stand out. In the Florida heat, this works great for both day and night. Spring and summer are ideal, but it can definitely work on fall days as well. This is best for daytime outings, casual hangs with friends, and relaxed dates where you want to smell good without coming off too strong. Sillage stays more on the personal side, but people around you will notice it. This is a quiet compliment getter. Performance was strong for me at around 7 hours with 6 sprays. This is a crowd pleaser that still feels different. This smells like someone who is easy to be around but still stands out. Rating: 9/10

This is becoming one of my favorite scents but unfortunately only last about 6 hours on my skin and I feel like I should not justified that for the price. A good 3 to 4 hours of foot or more of projection then becomes skin scent after that then fades quick after 6 hour mark. Be careful because this fragrance is very strong in the opening but the dry-down has a nice woody but gives me a bit feminine vibes more than purple label after 3 hours you will get the woody dry down on this one. Many people say this is a Spring scent I think this is more of a Fall because of the woody side to it. But since it takes awhile to become woody I can see why people would justify this to be a spring/day scent more, but overall I think it should be for all weathers. I am going to put this on fall season.

I finally pulled the trigger on this one. It has always been on my wish list but I did not want to spend over 200. I finally found it new on sale and purchased it. It took a bit of time to get it but when I got it, I sprayed in on and LOVE it! It is a lot like Ralph Lauren Purple Label (which I love) but this one lasts longer. It is not identical, but certainly has the same vibe. What a wonderful fragrance and will be a favorite! Fresh cut grass with the lawn mower accidentally cutting a blueberry patch. super fresh and spring in a bottle! Delightful and not uber sweet. Worth the money I paid. If it costs over 200, I would pass on it though unless you don't mind spending that kind of money..

I have a special place in my heart for this fragrance, not because I like it but because to me it's very unique in its own way. Why? 1: You can wear it on any occasion and in any season 2: It gets compliments, lots and lots of compliments 3: It has great sillage and projection Top notes are amazing and give a loud fruity touch with blueberry and violet leaf notes with a hint of Suede. Then it turns into a woody fragrance with notes of sandalwood and cedar and the best part that stays on you for a long time is a combination of Suede, oakmoss and amber. It's not my signature fragrance but it's among the best I have in my collection. 8.5/10 for me.

Seriously, the smells of this perfume is freaking damn good. You can wear it anywhere, anytime, any season, so versatile. Especially, if you just need one perfume in your collection (the one perfume man/girl) this is the answer. Sillage in this perfume is a beast. Can fills a room easily. Projection, 5 hours push. And longevity, in my skin 10 hours plus. In fabric cloth last 24 hours. The real Beauty (terms of smell) and The Beast (SPL). I think, you can buy blind this perfume because the smells is damn good and on my experience when i use this perfume, no one said anything bad about this perfume. People are supposed to like it.

This is actually so good and addictive. It's a green cassis/leafy scent with a lot of oakmoss. The moss note reminds me of nishane hacivat (doesn't mean it's similar though). Although this is a green scent it's not really as grassy as some people say to my nose but it's more fresh and clean. The drydown gives me some candied/honey vibes, which is probably because of the caramel note. If you want a perfume that is fresh yet unique you should really consider this. It's more suited for a warm spring day than anything. The bottle really looks how it smells. Versatile and inoffensive scent that people around you will appreciate.

Such a classical banger. Imagine Creed Aventus structure, but with different ingredients. They are not 1 to 1 at all, its like making a chocolate cake vs vanilla cake, different flavors but same structure. Instead of pineapple it is blueberries/black currant Instead of smoky birch woods it is violet leafs greens and clean ceder. This one also has a clean/soapy heart compared to adventus airyness/ambroxan. Both sit on a mossy woody base, and while Aventus is more musky, this one is more suede-y. One of my favorite spring time fragrances. Definitely recommend especially if you can find it around the $150 mark on discounters.

This is a spring smell to the fullest, if you you want something different than the typical blue here you go. One time I was at work and one of my colleagues ask me you smell like weed after around 2 hrs of spraying about 2 to 3 sprays on back of my neck. I kinda do understand because it has like a fresh springtime blooming marijuana smell to it if that makes sense. Believe me the bottle color describes the scent the best , if colors had a smell this is what the color Green and Purple mix together will smell like. Projection arms length, longevity 4 to 6 hrs smell 9.8/10. P.s most Bonds smells synthetic and this is one.

Surprised not to see it get mentioned, but the suede/violet leaf presence is very similar to that accord found in YSL Tuxedo. That particular connection ends there, however. Bleecker Street is very green and jubilant, and I do get the traces of fresh Blueberry Muffins in the dry-down. Yum! This has votes comparing it to Aventus, but at best, it’s loosely in the same family. Reminds me of, but doesn’t smell at all like—would be how I’d put it. About as far removed as Cedrat Boise. Love suede or fresh gourmands? Bleecker Street is for you. I have a new bottle, and its performance is solid. Absolute love.

This is where my love for fragrances all started, as prior to it all I had known were run-of-the-mill designer fragrances (not to knock some of the classics). Fresh violet and amber are at the forefront, with a note of blueberry and patchouli in the mix, which slowly settles in with jasmine and the ever softest suede and vanilla. A masterpiece that has held up well over time, especially when used in the spring when the winter chill begins to break. Longevity is very good for fragrance that is not meant for the winter or fall, but I have had this bottle for a while so not sure about reformulations.

Just ordered my second bottle, this time upgrading from 50ml to 100ml. One of the top scents in my collection. Over the past few years one of my most complimented; perhaps it goes really well with my skin? Bleecker is bright, green, sweet blueberry. Not a powerhouse in performance/projection but not a slouch either. I think the performance matches the scent well because it sneaks up on people and I watch them for a few moments trying to figure out what smells so good until they finally realize it’s my fragrance. This time of year, spring/summer, it’s a must and will stay in my collection.

Worn this several times now and it's just one of those fragrances that I can't put a handle on. I was expecting a fresh burst of blueberries based on quite a few of the reviews but it's nowhere near that. This is one of those fragrances where the notes mesh so seamlessly that it's tough picking them out from one another. I agree with some that have said that there is almost a close similarity to Aventus in how this progresses through the wearing. I didn't say they smell alike however. Really love this fragrance and it's long lasting like almost every other Bond out there.

To me this is in the same category as Green Irish Tweed and Chez Bond because of the violet leaf giving it that prominent grassy/petrol ozonic effect. Bleecker Street swaps the aromatics for sweet/tart berry. I think many notes aren't detectable because they're just sculpting the usual black currant into "blueberry", the overall effect is not gourmand it's just beefed up berries and grass basically. Purple and green like the bottle, fresh and perfect for spring. The performance is more durable than nuclear but it's powerful, synth-boosted juice.

Im not going into price here, iff you can afford it its very nice and not at all what you would expect from the notes, it has a very nice opening, zingy cesty mandarin, and some blueberry, some classic male shower soap and a woody musk, its hard to say ennything bad about this, its very versatile and it smells fantastic when its a sunny day, not at all gourmand, think more in the lines off percival/green irish/darley etc, fresh manly and crowdpleasing Opening is the best part and it last quite some time. Very long lasting for a fresh parfum

The first few times wearing this I found it meh. Something about the uniqueness which made me like it, also made me question whether this was a good smell or not. The confusion in my own mind about whether I liked this or not made me unsure of how it would be received. However, recently I have been complimented on this more times than I can count by the most random people. It has also grown on me during this time...Apparently it is appealing. Not my favorite fragrance, but shall remain in my rotation after all. 7.4/10

When I first tried it I just thought it was OK. It was fine. But the more I wear it, the more I fall in love with it. There is something hypnotizing about it. I can't stop raising my wrist to my nose. I usually don't prefer fruity fragrances unless it has a solid balance of musk or wood to pull it down to a more masculine lean. I didn't think this had that at first. But I was wrong. It is very masculine and a great option for a guy looking for a warm weather crowd pleaser. This will be my next full bottle purchase.

Wow.....Now this is a masterpiece of a fragrance. This smells just like Greenwich village but with a masculine woody and aromatic green base to it. It starts off very fruity and sweet with a ton of freshness then the sweetness calms down a bit to reveal that spicy woody base. It’s like a combo of MM at the barbers and Greenwich Village. Perfect for spring or summer and fresh enough to brighten up on a hot day. In my top 5 bond frags for sure I would totally recommend this one. Great longevity and sillage.

what is it im reading? Vomit? windex? What is wrong here? Must be alot off fakes going around cause this smells like simpel: blueberry( mostly Cassis ) fresh berries and a fabric softener (jasmin and sued ) and a hint off fresh grass (violet) and the peel off a mandarin It in the same family as Green Irish tweed, but this lasts 5+ hrs thanks to it Beeing somewhat more synthetic then GIT. Very subtle Aquatic and cooling and citric profile, far from smelling like stomach acid or chemical cleaner

amazing smells like you ran a lawn mower through a blue berry bush. It’s a fresh green aquatic with a slight hit of gasoline. Kinda the same freshness/style of scents like creed green Irish tweed. I like this more personally smells more playful and happy. Personally my end all spring type go to Last alright for me like 5-8 hours project for the first 2. Gets compliments. Defiantly my 2nd favorite from Bond 9 with my number 1 being Lafayette street. This stuff might be neck and neck with it.

I have no clue what people are going on about with this fragrance. I don't know what is wrong w«with their skins. This lasts a comfortable 12-14 hours on my skin. This is one of my favorite fragrances I ever smelled. Unlike a lot of other niche fragrances that are sometimes unwearable or very hard to wear, this is a great fresh gourmand sexy fragrance that will make you stand out every time you wear it, preferably in the Spring and early summer. It is too sweet for the high heat.

I freaking love it. I had to pull the trigger and buy it, making it officially the most expensive fragrance I own. Most of my collection is dupes, but this one HAD to be the real deal. It is green and fruity at the top, with a hint of something like gasoline, then dries down a little more powdery, almost like if Prada L'Homme and Explorer had a baby - not Aventus, but Explorer. Definitely a top 3 summer fragrance for me. 9/10 - lost a point for price.

Really DO like this one!! It has a very happy and bright opening, and it is VERY citrus green on me, which I guess is more about the note blend on my skin chemistry. The more I sniff it, the more layers I find.. this is definitely a good one and I completely get the rating, I just wish it lasted a little longer. Big bottle buy... ouch! Honestly, probably a 5ml decant to test different temps before that kind of investment, but entirely possible tbh.

This is my favorite fragrance, every time I use it fills me with energy, happiness and a loooot of compliments. It is a unisex fragrance, a little more masculine, but still really charming. Bond No 9 Bleecker Street transports you to a walk in spring, surrounded by trees, sun and sounds of nature, I really enjoy wearing it. Its duration in my skin easily reaches 7 hours and the evolution of the fragrance is just sublime. What a gem.

Goodness gracious...my wife sprayed some of this in the bedroom as an air freshener (I had to hide my shock and dismay) and it made the whole house smell sooooooooo amazingly good!! When I asked her what she sprayed she showed me the bottle and I almost fell over. But...its hers now...I can't dictate how its used. Gotta find a clone of this and swap out the remainder of the original that she has...lol.

Bright top notes with a nice leathery base. If you’re looking for a beast mode scent don’t bother with this one. I think it’s a versatile scent that can be worn in warm and colder weather. It’s classy enough for a date and dialed back enough to wear in an office setting. Don’t be a fool and pay full retail but shop around and buy it for a quarter of the price on the grey market.

I love this scent. It is officially in my top three with Virgin Island Water and Bleu De Chanel. I was wearing Bleecker Street and walked out for lunch in the rain and a woman walked passed me and said "damn! you smell good" lol. This scent is so heavenly. You can definitely get something cheaper that last just as long, for example, Alexandria's Emerald Street.

The notes is really confusing when you look at the caramel on the list, lol. This is blended really well. Just some of them represent the smells. It reminds me of Aventus from the fruity, mossy and the white floral. Moreover, it feels "gloomy" and ozonic with the smells of petricore from the violet leaf. It's unique.

I didn't get the hype at first, but then I started to wear it more and more. I definitely get the hype and enjoy this. It is very punchy that can be strong to some people, but I really enjoy it. If you are looking for your first niche or Bond No 9. fragrance, I'd definingly recommend looking/testing and buying this.

HEAVEN ON EARTH. The Ultimate Fresh Laundry scent. Soft and Fresh. Totally Unisex, but since I'm a guy and I love this and want to wear it and smell like this, I tip the needle slightly towards masculine. Not what I want my girl wearing, but she would be able to pull it off.

A beautiful creamy fresh aromatic fragrance with a earthy sweet base. Initially I purchased this because I heard it was similar to Ralph Lauren Purple Label. While I do see the similarities this is by far more sophisticated with much better longevity.

Bleecker St is like walking on fresh grass next to a blueberry field in blue sway shoes. This stuff smells weak at first. Give it about 20 minutes. David Copperfield kicks in. 8 hrs plus easy. In the end you get a light caramel candy, the chewy kind

The blueberry isn’t a sweet synthetic blueberry it smells like you’re in a field of fresh blueberries picking them so still a blueberry just not overly sweet.. nice freshie great for warm/hot & maybe even fall time I’d give this an 8/10

Blacker street is not to be ignored with its refined radiance, and sophisticated quality. Give this one a try and you won’t be disappointed! It’s all season, but spray with joy as temperatures warm. Unforgettable!

This is a beautiful violet suede. It has a subtle sweetness to it that’s interesting. But what I love most is the suede, which apart from having an elegant feel, gives it a masculine edge. Love. Will have to buy.

One of the best masculine green fragrances I have come across! Performance is average, not bad. Pretty hard to recommend for the price, but if you are really into green fragrances, this is a 8.5/10

I bought this bottle when it first came out forever ago and I still love it as much as I loved it back then. 2-3 hours and then I'm sad again. Wish it lasted longer.

Nice fruity fresh reminds me of the beginning of RL Purple Label which ends up more musky this remains a bit fresher to the end.
