Central Park

Very green and very beautiful. Simply an ingenious composition. This evokes thoughts of catching the smell of freshly washed linen on a clothesline mingling in the breeze with the mild scents of spring beneath the sun: linden blossom, petitgrain, and verbena. This trinity of notes bouncing off of a set of fine linen gingham print sheets is the best summation of what Central Park embodies. There is something about it that reminds me of the classic smell of old-fashioned washing powder, but not at all in a campy, off-putting way. Its simplicity is the key to its perfection. This is as fresh and clean as fresh and clean gets this side of paradise. This is 1950s Ivy League fresh. The kind of fresh a man inclined to fill his closet with the finest clothes from Brooks Brothers and suits made on Savile Row would be partial to. I believe it would work equally well for a woman with a sense of understated and timeless class. A beautiful woman with a fringe and a penchant for independent films. I can imagine a 21st century incarnation of a young JFK wearing this on the docks of Hyannis Port or Princess Diana while out for a leisurely morning stroll in a poplin shirt and blue jeans ♥ Sillage is soft unless applied heavily. Longevity is very good. I get about five hours from one spray. This is citrus and florals done right. I have a few scents that I consistently turn to in spring and summer, but this is in a league all its own in a vast world of fragrances that only grows larger and larger by the day.

Spring in a bottle...!! While the name is Central Park (and I love New York), this is a seersucker suit, bow tie, and two-tone wingtip shoes – (Charleston) South Carolina style.. Out of the bottle, you get the freshness of the bergamot and lime notes and then Central Park settles into a wonderfully done blend of floral, herbal, musk, and woodsy notes. Nicely done, Bond No. 9... Given the freshness of the fragrance, I initially had concerns regarding performance, but found those concerns were unfounded as I would periodically get “wiffs” of the fragrance 7-8 hours after the morning application - with projection/sillage at arm’s length or greater. Totally geared toward Spring and Summer wear, I will add that Central Park offers great versatility – the composition of notes is successfully mastered to fit both genders – modest floral notes to cater to the masculine crowd, yet “soft enough” to cater to the feminine crowd as well.. Additionally, Central Park offers flexibility to be worn to formal events as well as casual outings. Somehow, I have managed to accumulate 21 Bond No. 9 fragrances – and while not my #1 Bond No. 9, Central Park is safely included in the Top 5. And lastly – the Bond No. 9 bottles are amazing – each uniquely designed and fit the hand like a fine tailored suit. My final tally of Central Park is 4.3 stars out of 5 stars. An amazing fresh scent that belongs in every collector’s stable... Enjoy your day and happy fragrance hunting...

I love this, I just received a sample of it. I do find it more feminine than masculine. This is fresh casual green. It has a very lemon herbal opening, About an hour later starts smelling a bit like oakmoss/earthy notes which are not listed here. Then the floral hints pronounce themselves, and a few hours later you start smelling the musky patchouli. It's a beautiful scent. I've been looking for a green scent and this is topping it, It was a battle between this and another sample. This one won. It's winter but am ordering a Park Green scent. - Bought it. :)

A great, universal fragrance that begs to be worn on those warm days. Doesn't necessarily have to be worn during the summer, but any day that's unseasonably warm (it's early December in New Orleans, high today is 79) is a good day to spritz yourself with this. It's uplifting. The citrus isn't generic in this, and it fades into a very green, woodsy aroma. It's very clean and appealing. Very much unlike other clean, green and woody fragrances - although those are the major notes that I pick out. Strange, eh? Guess Bond really knows how to mix 'em.

Bitter greens, linden blossom, and lily of the valley? Yes, yes, emphatically yes! Bond no 9 CENTRAL PARK opens with a masculine lime-tinged edge, suggesting that this could be a citrus aromatic, but then confounds expectations, as the aromaticity quickly dissipates, clearing the way to a unique floral green with a universal, hot-weather appeal. CENTRAL PARK is very clean and very green--like the best contenders in this category--but what's new here is the bitterness, which tinges the florals ever so lightly and abides through to the drydown, sustained by resins which happily impart reasonably good longevity. The drydown is only lightly floral and very green with a touch of bitterness no longer identifiable as lime. CENTRAL PARK offers a distinctive take on floral green, reminiscent of no other fragrance on earth known to me. On my wish list!
