Chelsea Nights

Im a guy in my late 20's and this one was definitely unique, different and after sitting with it for a few days, i would even say it is an incredible scent. Its actually so hard to describe and I feel like I can see why many people wouldn't buy a full bottle of this scent and its because when you shop for fragrances, you usually buy "what you have in mind" or something along the lines of "oh this is so me". And you now immediately if its for you or not BUUUUUT I feel like with these niche type of scents you have to really sit with them for a few hours, maybe even days to appreciate the notes also being so well blended. Scents do grow on you. I feel as though people don't like it too much because it is SO different that it would catch you off guard but not in a bad way. Its like in between a sexy, sensual, sophisticated and almost gourmand type of scent. Very warm, SLIGHTLY spicy and SUPER WELL BLENDED. You get this vanilla, semi sweet, half teaspoon of chocolate, cozy warm powdery floral. GREAT date night, chill, relaxed, looking up at the stars, snuggled, cuddled up, but it also has some energy to it. DEFINITELY a head turner. DEFINNITELY UNISEX. Very fresh, rich, luxurious. If you wanted to give your significant other a "hint", just throw this on, no words needed. This is what catnip is to cats. SHE/HE will be all over you. It caught me off guard because of the bottle and the notes. I was expecting a super sweet, maybe even sugary, laundry detergent type of scent. I cant explain how good of a blend this is. That vanilla and suede blends SOOO well with that turmeric, along with the hazelnut, cacao rose and saffron. Its ridiculous how good this is. I've NEVER smelled anything like it. Overall I would give this a 9.5/10

Okay, so like the person below me I wandered into my local Saks looking for a new cologne to add to my small collection, and the woman in charge of the Bond No. 9 section sprayed Chelsea Nights onto a paper for me and said, “take this home. It might not smell like much now but trust me, the drydown is where it’s at.” Damn, was she right. At first I thought it was maybe a bit heavy and cluttered and not really my style, but damn, that drydown? It’s opulent and creamy and just a mix of suede and gourmand goodness. This is almost definitely going to be my next fragrance purchase as soon as Bond No. 9 runs a discount promo over at Saks since I’m flat broke as of now. -- UPDATE 4/14/2023: okay so I finally ended up buying this fragrance. The opening has more of a Middle Eastern vibe than I remembered, with its saffron. But the drydown is still the same sexy, delicious, addictive, chocolatey nirvana I remembered it to be. I will say this as a note of caution, though: apply carefully and delicately. This fragrance is VERY strong and heady, so 1-2 sprays of this should be enough. Trust me, you'll be projecting just fine with 1-2 sprays. And it'll last you until the next morning. What a great, well-worth it buy, honestly.

I sampled today at Saks and smelling my arm 6 hours later (something I’ve done non stop all day) my initial thoughts are this. This is a gourmand for people who prefer Nutella to chocolate syrup, malts to shakes, the cake to the icing (hell they probably order the cheesecake instead of the brownie...). In other words- a gourmand for those who enjoy sharing dessert, but can easily feel queasy when there isn’t something there to cut down the “sweet” in some way. To that end, the saffron is so important and beautiful here (possibly paired with not just amber but ambroxan?). The tuberose note (not listed here but should be) is addicting. The rose, & oud that som say they don’t notice is there to further keep things from going off the sweet deep end, IMO. The cacao is the powder sprinkled on top of Tiramasu, not a Hershey’s bar. I am not a fragrance expert, just a fragrance lover, so take all with a grain of salt.... but bottomline I am *extremely* sensitive and picky with gourmands and this is hella sexy. Probably adding to my FB wishlist.

When I smelled it in the store I didn't like it. At all. I thought it smelled like a spicy hooker. But I kept the tester strip in my pocket and I kept pulling it out the whole time I was at the mall, just to smell it again. There was something intriguing.. i couldnt decide if it was good or bad but it was very new to me. (Think it was the saffron) when i got home I emptied my pockets before bed. My tester strip landed near my pillow. I smelled Chelsea Nights ALL freakin night. By the morning time, I was a full blown addict. The strip weakened after a week (this juice is SO strong) so I had to go back to Nordstrom and try it again.. now.. 2 years later.. I'm still obsessed! Not a safe blind buy at all but I would 100% recommend getting a tester strip and really spending some time with her. Chelsea Nights seriously has me in a choke hold. I'm in love.

First off this is a very unusual gourmand. Definitely not for everyone. It's has warm and cold notes but the cool wins out imo. I get a very cool toned fudgy chocolate with a slight touch of the suede/oud and layered in the turmeric & myrrh(that comes across a little minty/menthol). For that reason I get winter vibes more so than fall. I personally love it's uniqueness and will be enjoying wearing this during Nov/Dec/Jan. Edited to add: Wore it the other day and realized, on my skin, it smelt almost like a chocolate covered pretzel...in the best way possible. Loving this fragrance even more now tbh. 9/10 rating

Tried this in a Saks yesterday and initially, I wasn't impressed. I did a paper test, and it went on very soft. I then did some shopping and went back to the counter and allowed for a skin test. BAYBEH!!! I couldn't stop smelling my arm all day. I pick up the saffron, sesame, vanilla and the oud, which is similar to the oud in Nomad (not too heavy or dominant). This is one you definitely want people to catch a waft of, as it's dreamy. FBW for me, but definitely test! 24+ hours later and I sniffed my sample card and it's still there!

Smells like equal parts of warmed nutella spread thickly on hot from the oven baked sourdough bread and deep dark smoked woods with suede and leather. Sounds strange but it works. Despite the colorful cutesy bottle design, I can’t imagine this working on a woman. This is for the quiet, mysterious guy in the clurb, who’s drawing everyone in without saying or doing much... all aura, with rizz to boot for anyone courageous enough to speak to him.

Best Bond no. 9 fragrance so far. A groundbreaking, addicting chocolate gourmand reminiscent of the Chelsea Hotel. The Chelsea Hotel is a fascinating building, just like Chelsea Nights. The longevity is also superior, but the price point is way too high

Tried this at Neiman's and all I said was damn, damn, damn, DAMN! Bonds best release in a while and I can arguably say this is their best gourmand ... even better than New Haarlem. Im obsessed...I can't wait for Bonds sale to get this.

I own this and it's my favorite perfume, but if you're hesitant about the price I did just discover that layering Lattafa Eclaire with Kayali Vanilla Sugared Patchouli smells nearly identical somehow

I like this. But it’s not I’m in love. I am wearing it to bed it opens up seductive, I am sensing fun temptations and gentle sins. It’s giving cute nosy notes. Waiting for the dry down.

Absolutely exquisite. I love it. It smells like nothing else I have and is an immense compliment getter. The saffron really sets it apart. Another Bond No 9 banger!

At first, it is very spicy (the saffron). It does dry down to a beautiful scent. Very strong. IMHO only really suitable for fall/winter at night.

Absolutely delicious! I NEED THIS. I tried it out at Harrods and upon the first spray, it smelled exactly like freshly baked bread at a bakery! It is so warm and alluring, a perfect gourmand. As it dries down you have a beautiful trail of sweet but not cloying cocoa. UPDATE: Had to pick this one up. There really is not anything like this smell out there as far as I am aware. The bread note is uncanny and the cocoa dry down is so warm and inoffensive. This and Lafayette Street will be my hot/cold signatures for life. SECOND UPDATE: My bottle from MaxAroma doesn't really smell like the tester I had tried in-store. There is no freshly baked bread smell, the hazelnut cocoa notes are still very pleasant and the patchouli is a bit stronger than I remember and the performance is excellent. My mum adores this scent so I'm probably going to gift it to her and accept my losses (I won't be paying full retail for a new one just to see if it smells like I remembered).

A chocolatey patchouli and saffron... I don't usually like patchouli, but the patchouli in this perfume didn't bother me at all. At the first opening, I smelled a distinct leathery scent. I thought it was labdanum, but it was suede. Unfortunately, I can't pick out the hazelnut note at all. I heard a hint of rose, but it disappeared immediately. Although there is a trace of the classic patchouli-rose-agarwood trio, the scent is not based on it. The exaggerated sweetness of the opening softens with time. It is a bit like Black Phantom by Kilian. It doesn't have that boozy vibe, instead it has a leather note. It's not a fragrance to fall in love with, but it's a usable winter scent. Unisex, moderate sillage and high lasting power.

Warm, sexy, edible. This reminds me of a late aughts Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Sexy and oh so sweet. Warm, chocolate dessert. This is the scent you wear when you want your ears bitten. It's attractive in the way that the smell of freshly baked cookies might draw someone into a kitchen. When I first sprayed, I smelled the acetone nail polish notes that others have reported, but with the dry-down the cocoa hazelnut suede and oud came through most prominently. This is undeniably a winter night scent. This is unisex, but definitely gourmand. Film wise, I'll compare it to 2011's Friends with Benefits.

Sex in a bottle! 🥵 Spicy, nutty, warm with just the right amount of floral to keep it feminine. I will admit the first time I tried it, I sprayed too close to the skin and I did not enjoy it. It overwhelmed me and gave me a headache. But I’m no quitter! I tried it again using the spray and walk into it method. Thats where it’s at folks!! Im so glad a tried it again because wowzers 🤩

this fragrance is definitely female leaning the dry down of this fragrance is really nice other than that it’s a real Nutella , nutty smelling scent i ended up giving it to my girlfriend i don’t feel like it’s worth the price tag of it and it’s in my opinion worn better on a female , a guy could pull it off although if you’re into gourmet edible type of smells
