Eau de New York

This is the greatest neroli (orange blossom) fragrance ever made in my opinion, hands down, and basically smells like you're smelling an orange tree and the grassy wet field in which it stands during the rain. It's the strongest neroli fragrance ever made, being way stronger than 4711 Eau de Cologne, Ferrari Bright Neroli, Tom Ford Neroli Portofino, Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Forte, and Acqua di Parma Colonia Essenza. I just feel like I'm in bliss when smelling this, especially as neroli is one of my favourite aromas in the world. This has a very green neroli and petitgrain scent to it that smells like a way more natural version of Mugler Cologne or Creed's Original Vetiver. I can smell the neroli but also the plant upon which it resides, including all the leaves and twigs, and also the grass in which it lives. The whole thing smells 'wet' as well as if it had just rained; it has the petrichor scent to it. It's a wonderful green scent that I'm a gigantic fan of. The neroli itself is extremely natural smelling and of the soapy kind. It's very, very pleasant. On drydown about 6 hours later, I detect the strong scent of white flowers - particularly jasmine and lily of the valley. The entire fragrance is totally unisex in my opinion but some would say is slightly feminine on the late drydown due to the white flowers - but I love white flowers so it doesn't bother me. This is also a beast in terms of performance, with strong projection for over 7 hours and around 10 hours of longevity in total on my skin. However the projection although strong is of the light and airy kind and non-cloying although it lasts for a very long time (very similar to Mugler Cologne) and not strong in the sense of a thick, cloying fragrance or even something like Mancera Lemon Line. This is one that if you wear, people will think you smell good but won't be overpowered by your scent. Overall this is the greatest neroli fragrance ever made in my opinion, and one of the best fragrances period; definitely in my top 10. 5/5

The most natural smelling bond, and also my favorite! tayyabforyouth said it best! Croud pleaser, a more uplifting GIT and lasts all day long. I've gotten, wow are you wearing sun screen or something you smell incredible" 5 times better than the extremely over rated MFK's in this same vein ala aqva universals, forte, etc etc This thing gets so green just to the edge of perfect, then so clean white musky just to edge of perfect. Where the MFK's get nasty in the overly done musky cocktail this baby absolutely nails it. This IS the best in class green,spring,uplifting in a bottle. I have given away decants and just tell people its a honey suckle scent, the flower the honey the green leaves. This is the holy grail honey suckle scent that brings me back. It's my neroli supreme as I often refer to it, its like a thick yellow punch of pure nirvana. I've been looking for a replacement for the 90's Clinique Happy to fill its long lost void and I'm happy to say I've found not only its replacement but its rich creator, Mr. liquid happy pants! This was one of the first niche scent I bought and one that got me hooked and disappointed that still nothing has come close, not even within 2 points. After trying as many spring summer niche scents I have its still confirmed there just aint nothin close to this, a strong LOVE!

oh my gosh. Ok. First let me just say that I find the polarizing nature of Bond to be amusing. People either love or hate. I see both sides. I might tend to agree with the "overpriced/not worth it" camp if it weren't for this and Fire Island. Neroli and rose are heaven on me. The thing about roses and nerolis and tuberose etc is that they are categorized as light, but IMO, they have a top, medium, and base even within their own smell. Complex, deep, swirling. Not sure what my chemistry is, but truly these are my favorites and keep me bright, seductive, and radiant all at once. I struggled to find the perfect orange blossom and neroli for years, until I found Tom Ford Neroli Portofino. Then some clever saleslady at Saks showed me how to layer this, Eau de New York, with Fire Island. Oh. my. heavens!!!!!!! Just wow. Truly gorgeous. Now one could argue that a good fragrance should be able to stand on its own and not require additional user blending to be truly great. And, this is good on its own. But blended with Fire Island is something more rare altogether. But honestly, what's more fun? A blouse you wear once, or one you can wear with everything? It's kind of fun to see that sometimes 2+2=5 with this line.

It smells nicely green. I got a cheap sample of this somewhere, the vial was packed in a green plastic like a candy. The only reason to try this was that it looked strangely cheap because these scents are expensive. I didn't even check the notes. Now I see that I could've wanted this also for the notes. Since this is 20 years old I'm not sure how this felt like back then. Now it smells quite average, even slightly outdated. I can smell a bit of citrus (bergamot?), neroli, maybe verbena, something green but no other notes, especially none of the base notes. Maybe they are disappeared? Maybe the sampe was waiting for 20 years? Could be. It would be so much more interesting if I could smell jasmine, vetiver and grapefruit too. I checked that this is being sold for 200+ euros for 100 ml while it smells like a cheaper kind of good cologne water for 20-30 euros, maybe 50 at most. It reminds me a bit of 4711 classics and even more Eau de Rochas, pure and simple citrus, but this scent is somewhat greener and more interesting. Maybe the extra 200 euros gives the longevity? :)

This is very similar to Creed Original Vetiver. I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned it. Makes sense though, since it seems like Bond makes a point of trying to copy/riff on the popular Creeds. After it dries, the vetiver becomes very prominent (like 50/50 neroli and vetiver) which is somewhat offputting since I'm not a fan of vetiver; smells like the basket section at Pier 1. As far as nerolis go, I think Atelier's Grand Neroli is more my speed in that it's got more citrus and other slightly darker notes that make it more intriguing/less of a one (or two, in this case) trick pony. This definitely gets points, however, for longevity and projection, it's just not quite for me. Not to say I dislike it, but there are so many subtle variations on the neroli theme that one can be particularly particular about which one to choose, if one has to, in fact, choose.

lets get straight to the point ! if you have a chance to wear this masterfully blended parfum dont think twice its a true gem in my collection from the initial spray on the tester paper to the beautiful opening of neroli and other citrus notes on my skin i was hooked it projected wonderfully to the point that i couldn't stop thinking to myself damn i smell like a million bucks haha even tho i didn't get a complement apart from the people who smelt it during my initial spray the harshest critic to please was extremely satisfied and thats what count as long as im able to smell it throughout its wearing it eventually lifts myself confidence and my over all mood and that alone is worth it retail price of 305 10 out of 10 blind buy worthy!!! on to the next

A citrus scent that you don't want to wear in warm weather? This would be it! The smell is actually very unique. Its got a lot of fairly common ingredients if you look at it on paper. But when you smell it, i think you'll agree theres not anything like it. The problem is that it comes of thick and heavy. Almost syrupy. I owned a bottle of this up until a few days ago. I had to get rid of it. With the Heat coming back in the upcoming months, no way i'm doing a repeat of last summer. I nearly vomitted wearing this. Its got outstanding performance. But i just can't wear it in the summer. Which is odd because you want to wear fresh things in summer time.

I've been doing a Bond no 9 test run of all I thought I may possibly like (I'm SO sad, I have a spreadsheet and everything!! 🤦). This one was low down on my priority list because reviews suggested it is a bit male leaning, and honestly, I have SO many good citrus scents. BOY, was I ever in for a surprise...!!! This scent is AMAZING!!! The petitgrain immediately throws an 'ok, so you're a bit different...?' edge to it, and the more you sniff, the more you find!! Yes, it is a summer frag, so light and airy, uplifting and accessible, but this has the 'Wow!!' factor that makes it stand out / best in class!! Big bottle buy!!!! Absolute 'LOVE'!!

maybe i'm alone but i rather this than TF neroli portofino. they are similar to me but this projects better, lasts longer and smells better. When you just get out the shower on a summer or spring day this is one to put on. white t shirt and jeans with this one. i wouldn't wear this with formal attire. this is more of a mature yet playful scent to me. projection is great but on my skin i'd prefer a little more on the longevity.. the scent is great. overall 8/10 peace and blessings to all

Eau de New York is oh so beautiful. I first tried it as a smple and felt it did not have staying power, although it smelled wonderful. Months later I tried a spritz at my local Nordstrom. Wow! The sample was weak, but the bottle yielded long-lasting, yet subtle notes. The citrus is refreshing and the vetiver is complimentary. The aroma took me back to my first bottle of 'perfume' given to me by my grandmother when I was 8 years old, Max Factor brand Lemon Cologne. Utterly delightful!

My bottle is vintage, I cannot speak for current formula. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino cranked up to 100.Opens with a bomb of petigrain and then citrus, neroli, and vetiver. Smells natural and has crazy longevity for a citrus fragrance. One of the best from the house and can hang with some the best citrus frags on the market. Perfect petitgrain dominant fragrance. Scent 9.5/10 Performance 8/10

If I have to choose one freshie for the summer. This is it period. I don't like freshies so much but in Eau de New York I found what was missing in TF Neroli Portofino and AdP Colonia Essenza. The best of both, the exact sweetness of Neroli Portofino and the exact soapiness of Colonia Essenza. Smells natural, refreshing and is very longlasting in the summer time. One of my best blind buy.

I have a small sample of this scent, and I want more. On a first spray my reaction was unanimously positive. It feels sharp, green, fresh, a bit aniseed, a bit fruity, but very unique and very beautiful. It’s an obvious quality niche perfume that has an aura very much of it’s own. I know the price is high, but the pure freshness and energetic uplift that it brings is surely worth it.

What a beautiful fragrance! The opening is a sparkly lemon citrus. Reminded me lemon favored San Pellegrino mixed with fresh green plants. Then it revealed its Neroli heart. Like a 78 degree summer day walk in the park perfection. So reminded me of one of my other favs Tom Ford Neroli Portofino. Great longevity. Nice sillage... Pretty packaging. Pricey for sure.

Plain and simple, its an amped up version of Tom Ford Neroli Portofino. I think there is also a similarity to Al Haramain Portfolio Neroli Canvas. Its definitely a spring/summer scent. Citrus blasts through the entire wear. Longevity is pretty good. Citrus fragrances tend not to have long life on skin anyway so this one is above average.

A summer fragrance with some backbone. It's occasionally fun to wear in the cold when you feel compelled to thumb your nose at Old Man Winter. Great use of basil and musk to reinforce the tsunami of citrus in the opening! One of Bond's best offerings. An underrated scent.

I traded for a modern bottle to compare with my vintage formula. The vintage has more petigrain, less musk. Feels a more natural overall. The musk on the modern version screams initially before calming down. I prefer the vintage, but the modern is also good.

I loved this from the second I tried it at Saks. It stayed with me all day. It smells great mixed with Hermes Eau De Pamplemousse Rose, they're fairly similiar... but beware, this will make some people sneeze.

Eau de New York is a wonderful, long lasting fragrance that puts you in the middle of a Sicilian citrus grove that's been under planted with aromatic green herbs. What a pleasure!

WARNING: Don't spray this on your clothes. It left orange stains on my white t-shirt. As for the scent? It's wondrous. This performs thee best on a windy fall day.

This is a nice fragrance, but after my second wear, I realized something. This, smells exactly like something else in the top. After rumbling my brain for about an hour, I ended up in Dillards, and walking pass the Ed Hardy line, I said yep, "Love and Luck". Came home sprayed them both on my hand and sure nough, they are the same for the first 30 minutes. However, Ed Hardy begins to transition at the 45 minute or so mark while Eau de New York continues with the vibrant citrus note. It is much brighter and much fresher at the top and the top sticks around longer. After about 2 hours the citrus begins to pull back and the florals kick it and here is where, if in a marathon, Bond begins to get a second wind and pull away. The middle of EDNY is a sweet floral citrus which is very appealing to my nose. Around hour 6 (yep it is still projecting) the musk kicks in while the floral takes a back seat but there is still some citrus lurking in the shadows. For a citrus in that family this is ahead of the class by far; however, is it worth the extra $150 you will pay for it retail? Depends. I think a very good alternative to the basic nose and bargain fragrance lover, Ed Hardy works. The middle is different but the top and base are almost identical. Love and Luck is a bit more synthetic smelling but it isn't bad. If you need a run of the mill citrus to fill the stock then go with Ed Hardy but if you only want one fragrance that is citrus then EDNY is the way to go.

I blind bought a partial bottle, because this fragrance has favorable reviews toward what I like. Right off the bat, I love this!!! Smells like high-end sunscreen and lotion, a big floppy hat and big dark sunglasses. It smells like I'm not going to work today, I'm headed to the beach instead! If I had to compare this scent to anything, it's in the vein of Tom Ford Neroli Portofino or even Thierry Mugler Cologne, this one performing better than both of those COMBINED by the way.. Sometimes a fragrance will boldly evoke a color to me, and I can't fully say why but this fragrance makes me think "light green and yellow" even though the scent is really white floral and citrus. I'm glad I revisited Bond and tried this because I previously overlooked it as maybe not being my style..it is!! I love anything that smells like Summer, and this certainly does for me. Wear Mugler for the office, this stuff for out-&-about, Neroli Port for either in case you're curious.

Wore this yesterday. At first spray it smelled similar to one of my daughter's baby colognes, which I like the smell of, but would never consider wearing myself. After 30 minutes, it settled and evolved into something smelling like a cross between AdP Essenza di Colonia and Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet -- two of my favorite summertime fragrances. Overall, to me its a zingy, zesty, light citrus fragrance that gets better the longer it lasts on your skin. Lasts quite a bit too.... 1 hour good sillage, next 4-5 hours an aura close to the skin. Didn't feel I needed a respray because I could still smell it distinctly towards the end. On the clothes it lasted all day. Since I really like the drydown, I kept asking the wife if she could smell it on me in the car, but she couldn't until she came up close. So overall... good longevity, but a little soft and the sillage after the first hour. Cute, unique bottle!

Welp this review is coming from a scent noob here so be warned haha. Well the bon bon set of “Mens fragrances” from the house of bond no.9 has set me on a weird ride so far. And Bond No.9’s Eau De New York is something different but at the same time its not. Bond scents have 1 note that is included in every scent I’ve smelled so far, I don’t know what it is but they allllll have it!! (Its almost a slight powdery/floral smell) This here is a bright citrus scent that has a great lasting effect. The things that stand out to me are the bright Lemon Verbuena, the watery notes and the floral that never shy’s away! Nice summer and sunny scent, its not a suuuuper fresh scent just cause when florals are introduced it tones down the sunny and fresh feeling in my opinion! Good scent, but not worth the price tbh

Eau De New York is a super refreshing scent. Right from the first spray is an opening FILLED with neroli and petitgrain. Hints of citrus throughout a span of 4-5 hours. I noticed the dry down is just straight petitgrain left over but looks like everyone gets a different effect on the skin. I also gave it to my wife to have a try and it turns out the smell projects a bit differently off her skin. Instead of a citrusy petitgrain opening like on my skin, it actually hinted on the sweeter side. I can actually pick up the smell of Jasmine on my wife but none at all on my own skin. So please keep in mind this fragrance changes depending on who's spraying it, though, the main players are Neroli/Petitgrain. Rating : Scent : 9/10 Quality : 8/10 Projection : 9/10 Price : 7/10 Overall : 8/10

It’s an interesting, niche take on a freshie. It opens with a very strong grassy note. The best way to describe it would be fresh cut grass. This opening is sharp and I can see why it would be polarizing. But the greasy note quickly fades into a beautiful bergamot and lemon scent, although lemon is not mentioned in the notes, I really get lemon more than other citruses. The floral notes start to appear in the background, but it’s really bergamot and citrus that comes though the mid. After an hour or so, the dry down becomes a mix of Verviers, mush and a very slight woody note. Overall, this is a great options for a “freshie” when you do not want to fit into the crowd but have just a bit of uniqueness.

I'm beginning to detect a pattern here: Bond no 9 really knows what they're doing when it comes to citrus. EAU DE NEW YORK, another beautiful edp in their line-up, opens with an array of high-quality citrus. Yum, yum, yum--no Lemon pledge here! The brisk and refreshing opening gives way to a lovely melange of light florals and dries down in a vetiver-rich woodiness. This is a very pleasurable fragrance to wear, with unexpectedly good staying power and sillage for a citrus aromatic. I like this a lot--the perfect hot summer scent to lift one's spirits fragrantly to the shimmering sunlit heavens. Is it earthshatteringly original? No. Do I *have* to have a bottle? No. Do I want one anyway? Yes!

This is a very refreshing green herbal citrusy neroli and jasmine-based scent with subtle woody, rooty undertones. Starts off quite strong and sour, but dries down very pleasantly, with nice projection and longevity. More citrusy, soapy, herbaceous, less peppery and less sweet/more sour than Neroli Portofino. The lemon verbena is very lovely and present in this scent. The Bond DNA synthetic clean white laundry musk base is running through it, but it works here, and it’s not an unpleasant punch in the face type of laundry musk. I prefer Neroli Portofino, as I’m not keen on laundry musks, but if that were not present, this would also be a keeper.

Starts out powerful with citruses , green notes and florals with a hint of some sweetness ever so slightly, there is a clean, soapy vibe as wells as a bitter crushed twigs thing going on also kinda spicy which is kinda growing on me, there are some pleasant florals in here too as well as some nice herbal aromatic touches. This stuff shines in the warmer weather and is pretty refreshing with a strong scent profile, after the citrus calms down the scent starts focusing on the clean, bitter green vibe of the petitgrain and neroli. Not a bad scent at all!

Originally I wanted to buy the TF Neroli Portofino Parfum but read that this was pretty good. I really enjoy neroli-based fragrances but was unwilling to pay 500 CHF for the parfum. So I settled for this. Can’t complain. I enjoy it. But just as the analysis states, this is a pretty polarizing fragrance. My wife says it smells like toilet cleaner. She hates it. But again, my wife hates anything I wear that she hasn’t bought for me. As long as it’s hot outside, I’ll continue to rock this. Having one solid neroli in the quiver can’t hurt.

Almost all Bond no 9 perfume remind me of another perfume. That one took me more time than usual but i finally find it : Agua de Pravia by Heno, minus the flower notes, but you get the same grassy lemon scent. Same projection, same longevity for 1/10 of the price.

In the same vicinity of Neroli Portofino The initial blast is superb But as it drys down, it becomes a bit too feminine for me (Even their website lists it as a 'Womens' perfume) Initial Blast: Zesty, Citrus, Green Notes DryDown: Freshly laundered linens

Finally I got this perfum this summer 2016. Green, citrus, fresh but long lasting. Perfect in Spring time, summer and in warm Autumn too. If you want something fresh but that last much longer than other citrus scent. The bottle is beautiful and joyous

This is a great green and citrus fragrance. The neroli is SCREECHING which I didn't like at first but after a few minutes I start to appreciate the other notes. This is a good mix guys, way better than that TF cr*p.

Very aromatic and green out of the gate from the basil and petitgrain. I get more of an indistinct citrus blend instead of neroli, TF Neroli Portofino has more neroli to me. I wish there were more obvious floral notes, this skews a bit more male than unisex. The base is smooth, not much musk, mostly vetiver with oakmoss and light wood. Bright Neroli Ferrari, though not as strongly aromatic, ranks higher in the quality of the neroli and maybe more similar to Tom Ford. Neroli Woods Banana Republic is my favorite good value neroli centered fragrance - but it has more of a beachy floral vibe.

Eau de New York is an eye opening blast of citrus notes with some floral woody background. Very clean laundry deterrent scent fresh out the shower for a summer day. Reminds me of Tom Ford Neroli Portofino (extreme). Good but not very unique for the price.

I got a sample of this and I'm glad that's all I purchased. This one just didn't work with my skin at all. I got this pine tree scent that drove me nuts and even my hubby didn't like it, not even for him. With all that being said, the sillage and longevity are great, as always with Bond fragrances. I know this one is labeled as unisex, but I think it suits a man much better, IMO. I guess they all can't be winners, but if you want to try this, definitely get a sample first.

A beautiful Neroli scent backed up by the petitgrain and mandarin orange. IN MY OWN personal experience i find this hard to pull of casually and much prefer to wear this dressed up rather than down. It is some quite potent juice and does last and project. It gives me an aura of being extremely clean & fresh which i just love! Can definitely be worn all year round. If you love Neroli Portofino i highly recommend checking this juice out, plus it lasts twice as long!

Have tested this sample about 4 times over 2 days and I do not like it. I hate it on me, and doubt it would be any better on a man. The scent I smell is that of a spray I last smelled in a hospital, that was used to mask bad odors. It lasts about 2 hours on me and then, mercifly, fades away.

This one got me kicked out of the bedroom for smelling like disinfectant spray. So much longevity that it became a bad thing...I almost had to spend the night on the couch. Bottle has been banished to the "spray it at the dog when he pees on the floor" shelf.

Very citrus and green in the opening. If grass and lime could make a smell it would be this. There is no lime in the notes so it must be a mix of grapefruit and bergamote that I'm smelling. It's a bit like a cleaning product on my skin and leans masculine.

Another overpriced product from Bond No 9. Very cheap, light and synthetic soapy neroli. Mugler Cologne smells like this but much cheaper. Longevity and sillage are too low. scent: 3/10 longevity: 4/10 sillage: 4/10

Washing machine powder in a bottle. Inoffensive, clean and very strong.

Im a huge Bond fan, but I didnt get around to trying this one until recently. Im kicking myself so hard now because this is such a great fragrance. This is similar to Neroli Portofino but SOO much better in every way possible. The TF fanboys will hate this one. Neroli Portifino disappeared on my skin within 2 hours, it was such a waste of money. Eau de NY projects very well for hours and hours. For me, this is mainly a natural fresh smelling neroli with some white florals and other citruses. This is such a great aromatic freshie for summer. I cant wait to rock this in the hot sun. Definitely unisex. The scent itself is blended fantastically. The retail price is definitely high, but the scent is honestly worth the price, and I usually criticize niche brands for over pricing so thats saying alot..

Yes, this one his a sharp sparkling vibe in the opening. It almost reminds me of Sprite (carbonated lemon lime) mixed with powdery notes along with some industrial window cleaning scent tossed in as well for good measure (and I don't mean this in a bad way). I actually kind of like it. The sharp note in the opening fades and you're left with that fresh clean scent. It kind of reminds me of Bleecker Street almost. It also is in the realm of Ozone by ATH or Meteore by LV (those also remind me of window cleaning scents) even though they aren't exactly the same- they're just in the same realm. Distant cousins, if you will. Ultimately though, retail priced Bond is ridiculously over priced. I hope you guys are grabbing these from legit sellers on the gray market.

Opens extremely similar to Neroli Portofino, but it quickly settles in a VERY different path from it. At the heart, I feel the floral tone only in the background and assisting a central lemon-green, almost alcoholic-camphorated, extremely natural - seems that the great responsible is the lemon-verbena in very high volume. Comparing Eau de New York to Neroli Portofino, therefore, sounds offensive to the aromatic autonomy of the first, which achieves a unique and differentiated path, taking advantage only of a similar opening. Nevertheless, Neroli Portofino is and smells denser and richer, whilst this one is and smells much simpler. Performance only average.
