Gold Coast

It opens with the smell of fresh raw apples and softens to a rosey watermelon that dries down to a softly sweet skin musk. Yes, I agree with everyone that the entire line is overpriced and the Swarovski crystal bottles are outright garish for what they actually contain (even though they are pretty to look at) but, I smelled Gold Coast on a scent strip in a magazine at my chiropractors office and immediately knew I wanted a bottle. When I went to buy it and was told the price I literally answered, “Really!?”. I still purchased the lovely metallic pink bottle as it is the first Bond N9 fragrance I own. It does bear a resemblance to the youthful rose of Chloe’s signature scent, however Gold Coast is sweeter with a soft fruity rose where as Chloe is more of a clean rose due to having a dominant peony note as well.

While Greenwich Village is by far my favorite, this is my second favorite in the Bond no 9 collection. These are the only two I would recommend for women. This has a nice Apple/watermelon note that makes it perfect for spring and summer. Despite the bad reviews, in my opinion this is an absolutely beautiful fragrance and it is the single most wearable scent in the Bond no 9 collection. Inoffensive, fresh, clean and fruity. Admittedly, I haven’t smelled every Bond no 9 fragrance but I’ve smelled quite a few that were deemed female or female-leaning unisex. This is definitely feminine. I would say it’s a safe blind buy as well.

Love this one. This is a very underrated Bond 9 fragrance. I smelled it at Saks on the weekend and BOOM! my full bottle arrived today - thanks to Jomashop. It's fruity - smoothly blended apple, apricot and watermelon with rose that is not bumping into the fruits. It's mouth watering. I wish I knew about this one earlier. It was love at first sniff for me. Currently I have full bottles of Tribeca, Greenwich Village, Nolita, NY Nights and now Gold Coast. I have decants of many others but haven't decided to get the full bottle. If you like sweet fruity aquatic fragrances... you betta try this one.

Nice! Fresh and fruity, crisp and clean. The classiest and most mature, yet youthful and exuberant, fully feminine Bond No. 9 scent I've yet to sample. Totally a spring/summer scent of moderate to low projection and longevity. However, I found myself sniffing my wrist repeatedly as Gold Coast dried down; and I didn't mind refreshing this lovely scent after about 4 hours. I will purchase a full bottle and decant my own purse/travel spray. Honestly, Bond should offer travel size sprays with the purchase of their awkwardly humongous women's fragrance bottles.

This reminds me of something from my childhood... Late 80s early 90s maybe. I don't know what this smells like!? I'm thinking it's some hair stuff... Definitely some hair product but I don't know which one at the moment. It has a synthetic sweet spicy cherry muskiness to it, it's nice, it's different but I'm hoping it gets better in warmer weather cuz the hair oil smell is off putting although not bad. I figured it out! It's the money house fruit incense spray! That cheap bathroom cleaner fruity smell that ppl use and is sold at corner stores in the hood.

I agree with a previous reviewer in that it smells like Chloe and Dolce & Gabbana L’imperatrice 3. With that being said...I love the smell of this. A lot of people will be disappointed with the price tag, understandably. What you’re paying the big bucks for is the presentation. The uniqueness and cuteness of the bottles is alluring. But, it’s like the cupcakes from House of Sillage. But, all in all I really enjoy it. I will get lots of wear out of it, but you could just layer some designer fragrances and get the same joy.

I cannot believe the bad reviews of this great scent! I truly love it! One of my favorite perfumes is chloe edt and this smells very much like it with better longevity. I know many people are not fans of the soapy notes in chloe but that is my favorite part of chloe. I smell white florals and a chloe like but stronger soapy scent that dissipates slightly during drydown. I do not smell rose here but nevertheless smells like chloe minus rose. It also projects well. It is exactly what i have been seeking.

Aquatic fruity floral perfectly balanced. 👍🏾 This doesn't evoke Gold Coast vibes but it doesn't matter since it's so well blended. I'm hit with lychee, 🍎 & 🍉 . 😍 Only a hint of apricot. Then the 🌹 🌹quietly emerges. It lasts 6-8 hours on me before it dries down to a clean musky skin scent. She's too respectable to make a loud entrance yet she leaves a deliciously crisp scent trail. 🫶🏾 😊For me, it's a lovely warm weather gourmand that's underrated. ☀️

I actually found it at a decent price and I could not resist! this fragrance made my summer fruity and happy, while the non-fragrance world was tough and dim. I am grateful to myself for this buy, it is fruity aquatic classy to me (not easy to create a fruity aquatic that is not making you smell like a teenager). Good projection and persistence, I can smell through the whole day and it is office safe. The rose metallic bottle is lovely.5/5

This is a lovely fragrance. Well blended fruity /aquatic mainly litchi and apricot, with long longevity and projection. I like that is sweet without flowers (at least I cannot find the rose, if it is there, is well hidden!). The problem is the price. In italy today at the perfume shop 100 ml was 440Euro. I could afford it, but it is too much. I believe that the most appropriate price should be half of it (220Euro).

I love, love, LOVE, LOOOOVE Gold Coast! I smell the watermelon and the rose. I'm not a fan of rose scents and didn't expect to like this one but another note (or notes) makes it very appealing to me. It's juicy, fresh, aquatic romantic and feminine. I can't really see a teen wearing this but women 28 and up. I don't get *girl*; definitely WOMAN. I NEED a bottle of this! The largest bottle possible!

Ok, upon first spray, I was like wtf is this?! Chemicals?!!! But just wait a few minutes and the fragrance transforms into a refreshing, clean, fruity fizzy skin scent. It doesn't contain aldehydes but that's what I get. Allow GC to settle on your skin for 5 minutes in order to experience the refreshing, clean and rich smelling essence. Perfect for Summer day time.

I enjoy this fragrance. It’s fresh and fruity with a woodsy touch. I tried layering with Bath and Body Work’s Pink Watermelon Blast body wash, lotion, and body spray, then added a spritz or two of Prada Candy Kiss, topped it off with this baby and got a fruity, musky, sweet treat. Scent combo lasted for hours! The bottle is also super cute.

I am not a fan of floral scents however the opening and the die down were so beautiful that I didnt mind the floral notes that were in this scent. It is very light and I wish that it lasted a longer as it lasted around 5 hours and most of my Bond No 9 scents lasts signifigantly longer. Perfect for spring/ summer.

I'm glad I pulled the trigger and purchased this! Really easy reach, best worn in sping/summer mild days. I guess my nose is opposite from most of the other reviews, lol, because this is tropical/floral to me. Reminds me of being on vacation at the beach.

Beautiful fresh scent, perfect for the summer! Starts off with a sweet apple scent, very crisp. Then after a few hours, a musky, lychee note comes out and lingers beautifully! I simply had to have it.

I have been lurking around the reviews for this for quite some time just debating on whether I should or shouldn't go for it. I love floral aquatics despite most people not liking them so I am always curious about one when they come out. We have nowhere to try or buy Bond or much less any other high level perfume designer here so I have to rely on reviews unless I travel somewhere to try it for myself or order samples. I don't know when I am going to learn my lesson and stop buying blind but I didn't this time and probably won't be the last. This perfume is exactly as it has been described below this review. It is a mix of Chloe 2008 and Delina La Rosée. In fact, after I hurriedly opened the package and ripped off the bottle top to spray, the first spray was Delina La Rosée and my heart just fell as I was hoping for some magical fruity aquatic dream I haven't smelled before. I have that one and love it. I was hoping for the watermelon note but didn't detect it as others haven't but no surprise there, I am not good at detecting certain notes. This perfume will be a crowd pleaser for sure and will not offend anyone even if oversprayed. Every time I wear Chloe since 2008 when it came out, I have been complimented as well as Delina La Rosée so I know the notes are popular. I promise that if you get one or the other then you will come very close to owning this without buying it as well as improving the longevity. My bottle was 100% original as it came from Bond. The longevity was shockingly bad on my skin and clothing- less than one hour. There is no way on this earth I can justify spraying this expensive perfume all day with wanton abandon and not feel bad that I could have just purchased both Chloe and Delina all over again and save money. It is a beautiful lovely watery rose perfume and might last longer on some other people but as it has been said before me, it is Chloe, a little of L’imperatrice 3, and Delina Rosee. If it were me, I would choose Delina La Rosée to get the closest to this as possible for less money and better longevity. I hope this helps someone sitting on the fence about spending their hard earned money. If it were the same price as Chloe I would purchase but not at over 400 dollars, nope.

I know this is a fruity floral and what Bond charges for their fragrances is a bit much to be churning out freshies at luxury prices but gosh this one is so well done, I think it might actually be worth the money, and money isn’t something I have a ton of lying around to comfortably shell out for Bond fragrances on a regular basis, let alone full price ones at that. Let’s talk about the scent: like I said, it’s a fruity floral, with a freshness weaving through the entire composition. There’s the crispness of the fruits, I get more apple than watermelon on my skin, and it’s a red delicious, perfectly ripe apple. There’s a slight floral accord, it is probably the rose that’s listed although it’s sort of nondescript. Before looking at the notes I guessed it was peony, although I’m learning those two can often bear resemblance to each other in perfumery. And then, the cherry (or slice of watermelon) on top of the composition is this sweetness that also runs through the development. It must be lychee because it’s not sweet enough to be vanilla although it does provide a light deliciousness to the scent that makes me want to drink it off my skin. I’ve never eaten a lychee before but I’m told it is very sweet and I’ll take the word of those more experienced than I. All of these things together meld to make a surprisingly well rounded release that’s appropriate for Summer, although I could also see myself wearing it in the Spring and Fall as well. Performance isn’t beast mode, we’re talking 5-7 hours but for this kind of scent, it’s very impressive nonetheless. I get 2 hours tops with L’Imperatrice #3, a scent I saw this compared to frequently, so if you love that scent and are hoping for a heavier hitter, try this one out. To my nose, this is what I’d hoped for from Delina. Lychee+ Rose+ slight fruitiness but it works so well here and went so wrong there. It’s sweeter than Delina, and yet no Oud present like in the Exclusive version to muddle it up. For similar price points this one gets my money.

Does this remind anybody else of the Clean reserve, sparkling sugar fragrance? I purchased sparkling sugar today, blindly, and after I got home and sprayed it, it instantly reminded me of something else. It took me hours to figure out what it was and it's totally Gold Coast. I don't know if it's the apricot in this giving similar vibes to the peach and musk in sparkling sugar or what. They are nowhere near identical, but they definitely remind me of one another in the dry down.

This smells exactly like a combo of Chloe EDP + D&G no. 3 L'imperatrice. In fact, once my travel sprayer runs out, I am going to layer those 2 fragrances together and just wear them until they run dry since I already own them and want to use them up. Guessing they will give me improved longevity that seems to be lacking with this fragrance. It does smell good however!

Gold Coast is my introduction to Bond No. 9 fragrances. I really enjoy this one. It smells like champagne with a fruity note dominated by litchi, so it's kind of boozy. I don't detect vanilla in the drydown, it's slightly musky and the rose note really comes through. I sprayed a couple spritzes and could still smell it 6 hours later, so longevity is pretty good.

This is fruity, musky, powdery and woody goodness! I don’t get the watermelon on my skin but that litchi and apple comes through so sweet and not tart at all. The dry down is my absolute favorite. It’s musky and makeup powdery with just a touch a sweet fruits. It’s so feminine and pretty!

I purchased a sample of this to try it on. I find this to be very female oriented and would be an easy reach for spring and summer. It didn't last very long on my skin. Not sure that I'll make a full bottle purchase or not.

i received a decant of this a few days ago and my initial reaction was just “wow, this smells so classy and expensive!” it smells so high end, i love the attitude it exudes. as it wore on my skin, i noticed the sillage is pretty intimate and the smell doesn’t seem to develop beyond the initial scent profile on my skin. the longevity was maybe a couple hours...a little disappointing. it ends up smelling like expensive, musky roses. i don’t get anything else on my skin. overall i don’t like it near as much as i did when i first smelled it, but it’s still beautiful. just overpriced and not that unique.

I’m not qualified to say this I do realise but the notes don’t seem to be accurate. Looking solely at the notes I should have LOVED this but it’s just too mineral and harsh. It smells like sea water but not in a good way, more in an aftershavey way. What I’m meaning to say is don’t blind buy it looking at the notes, try for yourself for sure. Maybe it just didn’t work on my skin but I see many people agreeing from the main accords on the top right.

Very lite scent. I needed well over ten sprays to get a nice sphere of fruity floral scents around me. Unfortunately it sunk right into my skin so it can only be used on clothing. Great scent for those who like light scent so you can control how strong you want the scent to be. Two for me was a very light scent close to skin silage. Compared to how much I needed to spray for this to work to my liking, I rated it as way overpriced.

It's... wearable. Starts off VERY musky and powdery on me, which I do not care for. Once the musk and powder fade, it's basically Chloe. I haven't owned a bottle of Chloe in nearly a decade, but I'd rather just rebuy that, even if it was at the same price point as Gold Coast.

This is my first fragrance from this house (Greenwich Village is on the way) and I’m highly disappointed. From videos on youtube and posts on social media, most feedback I saw was quite positive so I was expecting a lot from this fragrance. I think this was hyped for no reason at all. First spray you get watermelon - aquatic and sweet. I honestly don’t smell any litchi, red apple or apricot. Then after 30 seconds it turns into a kinda green smell. Best way to describe it is imagine chewing on watermelon skin... big let down as no reviews I saw mentioned a green leafy smell in dry down. After 2 mintues I cannot smell anything. Longevity, projection and sillage are non existent with this perfume. My nose has to be pressed against my skin to smell the fragrance at all, and what I do smell after 5 minutes is a light floral musk. Cannot justify the price for such a poor performing fragrance. Then again it may be my skin that doesn’t react well to it. I’m from Sydney Australia, if you’re looking to purchase a bottle of this fragrance let me know! I’m not keeping mine.

The notes are very misleading. I was really excited about this perfume, but I ended up not liking it. I don’t know how it’s possible, but all of the notes blended together end up smelling like sunscreen which is odd because it’s not beach themed. The main notes I can pick out are rose, musk, apple (light), and litchi. This perfume ends up smelling veryyyy ozonic and aquatic. I used to have this sun/beach themed body mist from Victoria’s Secret that smells oddly similar to this perfume.

Synthetic watermelon as first impression with a weak freshie rose in the background. There is very little progression from there...is this the worst Bond so far? I had to scrub it off after an hour.., How much is she charging for it? God help us... Thumbs down!

Short and sweet.. A beautiful air full of bright fruit for about 30 seconds.... then ROSE!!! If you're a rose fan this would be great to sample, but I'm really not and it is a straight scrub!

Smells cheap, common and synthetic. Linear fragrance with weak projection. Worst perfume from this brand. Not worth the price!!!

I do not like this at all. It is possible my decant has gone off, but this is like harsh cleaning chemicals, rose, and rank watermelon rind. It almost has a fruity ammonia quality overlaying something like Chloe EDT. Absolute no.

Initial Spray: The opening of Gold Coast is much muskier and harsher than I anticipated as the notes have a promise of something fruity, floral, aquatic, and vibrant. It immediately reminded me of the intensity found in Hibiscus Mahajád by Maison Crivelli, though the muskiness here fades within about 10 minutes, giving way to something much more powdery. The initial burst was almost overwhelming, not at all the crisp, sweet fruitiness I was expecting. Dry Down: As the fragrance settles, the muskiness dissipates, and what remains is a distinctly powdery scent. I had hoped the combination of litchi, red apple, and apricot would deliver a juicy, fresh experience, but instead, it veers towards a synthetic watermelon aroma. The fruity notes that seemed so promising on paper are hard to find—particularly the lychee, which only reveals itself with a bitter, sour edge if you really search for it. Middle Notes: The heart of the fragrance is dominated by that powdery watermelon note, which unfortunately doesn’t feel as natural or refreshing as I’d hoped. The french rose and watermelon are there, but they’re muted, more of a backdrop to the powderiness rather than standing out on their own. It lacks the brightness and vibrancy that could have lifted the fragrance. Base Notes: The base of musk, vanilla, and cedar eventually comes through, but by this point, the scent has already lost much of its appeal. The vanilla adds a touch of sweetness, but it’s more of a soft whisper than a strong presence. The cedar and musk provide some grounding, but they’re overshadowed by the persistent powdery quality that lingers. Imagined Wearer: Gold Coast might appeal to someone who enjoys subtle, powdery scents with a touch of fruitiness. This is for someone who prefers a fragrance that stays close to the skin and doesn’t mind the more synthetic, powdery elements. Would Recommend To: Those who enjoy powdery fragrances with a soft, understated fruitiness. If you’re looking for something that’s light and doesn’t overwhelm, this might be a fit. Wouldn’t Recommend To: If you’re seeking a fragrance that’s vibrant, juicy, and fresh, or if you’re drawn to natural, rich fruit notes, this may disappoint. The longevity is also quite poor, so if you need something that lasts throughout the day, this likely won’t meet your expectations. Personal Ratings: Wear Time: 5/10 - The longevity is disappointing; it fades quickly and doesn’t linger as long as I’d like. Personal Rating: 6/10 - The notes seemed promising, but the overall experience was underwhelming and didn’t live up to my expectations. Sillage: 4/10 - It stays close to the skin and doesn’t project much after the initial harshness fades.

An almost headache-inducing rose with a watermelon exclamation. This is extremely strong, and the rose is piercing on me, which may be the combined effect of the musk with the rose. It’s not a soft musk. The watermelon adds a watery feel to the rose. It’s a little sweeter and less rosy on my clothes. As time passes, the same effect occurs on my skin. I purchased because I liked l’Imperatrice, which is comparatively more watermelon-heavy, but I predicted that it wouldn’t hang around long. They smell like siblings but not twins. I want my bottle to sit for awhile. I’m sure I’ll love it then. This would shine on a super hot day.

My local Bond rep sent me a free sample of this new release. Nice! This sits very close to the skin. I can see this one being something that is very difficult or impossible to overspray. It is fresh and clean and with the apple top note being very prominent for the first 10 minutes. It seems to dry down very quickly to the sandalwood and musk base and remains there for the next several hours. It very much reminds me of Be Delicious from DKNY. Projection: skin scent Longevity: 3-4 hours FBW: Not for me

No shade. This honestly smells like bug spray--like mothballs, Jasmine oil, and bug spray and maybe a little cat pee 🥴! when fragrances smell like this and cost the price that this does, it's kind of insulting, but everybody's chemistry is different 🤷🏽♀️---for me this is a definite NO. The best fresh, fruity and aquatic fragrance that I've gotten my nose on with fruity notes are Tocca's Simone and Guiding Water by the Harmonist, so far. Those are delicious!!! Great for spring and summer.💙

This is muskier than I expected. I anticipated something similar to L'Imperatrice with better longevity. The longevity and projection are really good though. It's not as sweet or fruity as L'Imperatrice, not as floral as Chloe, nor as aquatic as L'eau d'Issey. The scent trail appears "fresh", or so I've been told. This is really nice, but the woody musky base is more prominent than what the upvoted notes seem to suggest, just fyi.

Gold Coast is just way too watery and light and in my opinion the bottle is definately prettier than the juice inside. I much prefer Goldfield and Banks "Sunset Hour", Parfums de Marly "Meliora" or Roja "Elixir" if you are looking for a "pretty" feminine, fruity, fragrance. The Gold Coast bottle is pretty though.. 😊

What a gorgeous fresh fruity floral scent. Spray it on and be prepared to be happy! The fresh apricot and crisp red apple blend so well with the lighter airy watermelon. Full disclosure, I am a sucker for a great Rose scent. I layered it with Madison Square Park ....and OMG! love the sillage and longevity.

I can’t wait for mine to arrive in the mail this week from the US as the notes and reviews sound awesome. Now I can travel interstate to the Gold Coast ( Australia ) without leaving home on these wintery lockdown days . A review is sure to follow.

Very nice light floral fresh Fragrance. Reminder me of a Perfume from my Teenage years but Can’t remember which one 🤨 but I am 100% sure that it did not cost +200$ 🤯😂 Nice scent, but it dosen’t last, beautiful Bottle and way overpriced

This smells exactly like Chloe. Both are light, aquatic, floral scents with just a hint of sharpness. Very pretty scent, but I would never pay that amount of money for it. If you like this one, save your money and just get Chloe.

It’s okay. But spending 200+ on a perfume I think is just okay won’t cut it. I feel this fragrance is office friendly it smells clean I don’t pick up any fruits. Smells like a high end polish remover / High end soap. I’ll pass

So many reviewers here such as 'rosekims' seem to think this is based off of the Gold Coast in Australia for some odd reason. Every Bond fragrance besides like 3 are based off of places in New York City.

This is awful and headache inducing. I was expecting something light and aquatic and fruity and juicy but this is heavy and overwhelming; it smells like Chloe and chemicals.

This is clean and soapy with rose. A very basic “perfumey” fragrance. I get nothing fruity, definitely not any watermelon. It’s very meh.
