Good Oud

Just got a sample of this in the mail. Very interesting and unique scent. Don’t get any oud in the opening, just a syrupy, fruity, warm spice, myrrh/chocolate vibe. The dry down is where the oud shines, along with a nice fruity/warm spice combination. I really like it. Definitely a solid winter fragrance.

Have not tried oud cadenza but this is very good and long lasting. Lots of resins and has a syrup like density to it.

Starts off with a very sweet berry-like quality similar to cough syrup in a good way though and a waxy resinous smell that works great, then the spices show up to create a spiced berry vibe and then the oud appears with a leathery woody dark feel. While not super apparent I feel the light florals popping up a little bit. After a few hours you’re left with a beautiful spiced berry and waxy resinous scent with touches of warm creamy oud that gets sweeter as the day goes by. Performance is splendid too and good for year round but will shine in the colder weather.

This is a floral take on the Oud Cadenza cinnamon + myrrh + vanilla core. Not the same, but close enough to be redundant. The opening has osmanthus and perhaps some pomegranate tartness accents, making it slightly different from Crivelli's version. The projection is nowhere near to Oud Cadenza's bombast, but longevity is 12h+. Also the quality of ingredients in Good Oud feels inferior, compared to Orpur. Finally, the most important element. The price is delulu. 530 GBP at Harrods. :D

It’s a weird smell I never smelled before, definitely I don’t smell any oud. Not for my taste
