I Love New York Earth Day

The composition opens with the sweet notes of juicy, ripe tangerine and orange blossom before gradually giving way to the fresh green sweetness of blooming flowers. In the drydown, that delightful sweetness remains, smooth and softly echoing the floral heart. This is a fragrance that feels like a celebration of the world—a scent as fresh as a beautiful, carefree morning. It offers freshness, greenery, and sweetness in perfect harmony. There are none of the facets that might cast a shadow over this idyllic picture: nothing tart, sour, or suffocating. Longevity on fabric is very good, while the projection is moderate. Yet another magnificent composition from Bond No. 9.

This is such a delight to wear. A fresh, creamy floral, softened by iris and musk, with a little bit of fruitiness to keep the composition bright. Although the note profile has oak moss listed, I'm not picking it up. Nor am I getting anything heavily earthy or green; so, like others here, I don't understand the name either. On me, this is mostly all about the flowers. And they are just beautiful! I'm not sure I would buy a bottle though, simply because I have too many big florals already. But as I was curious about it, I'm glad I got a few samples to try. Since it is very potent, with so little needed to smell great, these samples should last quite a while.

SUPER FLORAL BOMB!!! White floral on steroids!!! I love it so much... This is something you wear to impress people Although the floral phase is a wee bit indoloc in the opening but it dries down into a super fined clean jammy tuberose mixed with LOTV (those 2 are the most stand out in my opinion) I dont feel the woody base TBH, and maybe the tangerine listed on the notes above is the one that gives this jammy sweet touch to the scent... I want this one so bad now!!!

I love this one, yes it’s very similar to Central Park South, but that’s more shower clean, fresh, fruity & this is a bright, dewy, wet, white floral. Tuberose, orange blossom, tangerine, it’s perfection! Initial spritz is powerful, but within an hour becomes a skin scent, but on clothes it lasts longer. Michael Kors honestly has better projection & lasting power.

A lovely spring-fragrance. fresh & sparkling. I must say it reminds me alot of Michael Kors Michael, in a good way. This one is a bit fresher. On my skin I get a good mix of Tuberose, Lily-of-the-Valley, Oakmoss and Amber. Will be a favourite for springtime. Longlived on my skin - about 6 hours. On clothes it smells good for about 1-2 days.

Among all the I Love New York line from Bond no 9 House, the Earth Day is the one with the most longevity for me. It stays 2 days on my clothes, and the whole day on my skin. Really glad that i bought this when it was still around. It is a combination of tuberose and lily of the valley, it's a floral scent, with a hint of green.

Beautiful yet simpe white flora. Earth Day is a pleasant easy to wear scent. Not as quirky as some of the other Bond No. 9 scents but still a masterpiece. This would be a great perfume to try if you are looking for something away from the gourmand scents. I dont usually wear floral scent but this one is a delight

I did a side by side comparison of I Love New York Earth Day and Carnal Flower, since both are powerful green tuberose fragrances. I Love New York Earth Day is more homogeneous, exceedingly smooth, and the green aspect here is sweeter and translucent, though the fragrance overall is declarative and a great projector. Pronounced as it is, Earth day has zero sharp edges and rough spots. It's not even grounded next to Carnal Flower. It's more like a luminous tuberose liquid, or something that hovers in the air.I find it to be an extremely wearable floral with great longevity, but after a time, something subtly generic/synthetic-smelling emerges in the base, which makes me lean in favor of Carnal Flower's superior ingredients and crisp, articulated profile. Synthetic hues have no place in this particular green soliflore. Over time, the smooth elixir quality of Earth Day continues to sublimate into an ephemeral and relatively unremarkable state, while Carnal Flower retains its dimension and unwavering decisiveness. Carnal flower is standing firmly planted on the ground: High heels, ballgown, and hand held way out in front of her to "yield". Carnal Flower is majestic as #&%@! She's compositionally layered and dynamic, multi-faceted, sweet, green, vibrant, sparkling, rich, and you can not sneak past her. She's right in the middle of the cross-walk, with textural green elements containing an almost mentholated tinge. She warns you that you better wear her before she wears you; a challenge you gladly accept. She is daring you to dodge her, to get around her, but you know you'll never succeed. Better just to surrender. Alright, Carnal Flower. Game over.. you win.

Bond no 9 I LOVE NEW YORK EARTH DAY, to my surprise, is a big tuberose perfume. I think that someone in the marketing department must have mixed up the EARTH DAY and the MOTHERS, because this tuberose would have gone perfectly in the pink and that citrus floral would have been great in this green bottle. The problem is that many mothers prefer very floral, feminine perfumes, which EARTH DAY is, and some guys may have purchased EARTH DAY and been surprised to discover that it's a friend of FRACAS, while they might have been happier with the resinous citrus mixed with lighter florals in MOTHERS. In any case, EARTH DAY smells very nice to me, because and only because: I Love Tuberose (not NY)! (-; As I find generally to be the case with Bond no 9, the longevity and sillage are excellent. The tuberose is greenish, but not in the sense of vegetal, as in FM CARNAL FLOWER, which I wore again recently and decided that I don't really like. The tuberose in EARTH DAY is unabashedly feminine: big, billowy, and intense, but a bit less diva-ish than FRACAS. I like this a lot, but it is really and truly a composition for tuberose lovers only!

This is primarily two notes: lily of the valley and musk and it's really not much more than these two notes. It's linear, with no evolution and quite feminine. If all this sounds like a negative review, its not. This is actually quite pretty and the longevity is off the charts. This is a solid, well made lily of the valley floral and perfect for spring and summer. Not really complex, but it doesn't have to be. Any woman who likes Miu Miu or Oscar de la Renta's Live in Love would eat this up. Simply enjoy this one for what it is and you won't be disappointed.

This showcases the green-ness of tuberose as opposed to many which focus more on the carnal, fleshy side. This is a nice change. Floral but fresh, slightly crisp, pretty. I've only tried Fracas once and found it far too 'much' for me. Didn't like it one bit, whereas this, I can wear. I don't love it, and I can definitely live without it, but if it cost alot less I'd probably go a bottle. Or maybe a decant would be just fine.

For real tuberose and white flowers lovers. This is a clean botanical tuberose bomb. Quality of ingredients is top and no chemical at all. Tuberose is strong and dominant, it will become powdery according to iris note. Not detectable to me all the other notes. Projection and sillage of fragrance are monstrous, 1-2 sprays are more than enough on myself for one day. Careful I am not sure this is an office frag. 3/5

I thought this one was going to be real sharp and crisp and grassy but instead it is beautiful and sweet and gentle. There’s a spring day feel to it. Really lovely. Not like what I normally love but none the less pretty. I can’t wait to wear it in warmer weather. The tuberose is perfectly balanced with the citrus creating a very pleasant fragrance. I’m really digging this one!

This is a pleasant Tuberose scent reminiscent of Michael Kors Michael Kors but toned down. It has similarities to Central Park South which leans more Lily of the Valley. I'm puzzled as to why they called this Earth Day. It's almost a soliflore, to me as I don't get much green notes. The bottle is green though.

I understand. Some members really hate Bond No.9, don't they?Anyway, I just want to find nice scent with this site and don't mind the brand. I like this green bottle, and of course the juice inside. Comfortable creamy white flowers, no screechiness, no candied sweetness. Easy to wear.

Super sweet and fruity lily of the valley. I can't think of anyone who would completely turn their nose up at this - although it has been done before (Guerlain Champs Elysees and Tracy Ellen Tracy) it's nice to be able to quote a different fragrance than what people are expecting.

A nice smooth tuberose that reminds me of Michael Kors Michael and Kim Kardashian. ILNY is a little sweeter, more rounded and far more wellcrafted (and of course more expensive). I'm a tuberose addict in general but this is a fragrance I like and I won't add it to my wardrobe.

This scent is a beautiful green wet floral with a very prominent tuberose note that is wearable by both sexes and has great longevity. It moves me in the sense that it is more complex and evolves more that some of the other Bonds from the I Love NY collection. Thumbs up...!

This is a remarkably green tuberose. Very clean and happy. This has to be one of the ugliest bottles and dumbest names in all of perfumery, so I would never pay for the full size, but I like my small sample size.

It is a fresh and juicy floral. Lily of the valley and orange blossom are toned-down by iris, musk, and oakmoss in this composition. A very likeable, green scent without any screechyness.

This is a beautiful green, floral fragrance and is amazingly long-lasting. I wore it 3 days ago and the smell is still on my shirt! Its one of my favourite Bond No 9. Highly recommended!

The girl at Sephora assured me that this is a unisex scent when she made up the sample. It isn't, not at all. It's a white flower scent - and a mediocre one at that. There are any number of better white flower/tuberose fragrances: Chanel #5, Alien, and Amarige spring to mind... this is way too flowery for my use. By the way, as other reviewers have pointed out, there is no discernable green notes in this green bottle. Fortunately, longevity and sillage aren't all that great, so I didn't have to live with this for long. I must confess a certain degree of bias against this perfume house and its politically correct, sloganized concept fragrances. How come no "I (Heart) High Taxes" or "I (Heart) the Nanny State?"

I was so excited to try this as a blind buy. I am a lover of tuberose, with Fracas being a longtime staple in my fragrance wardrobe and Jo Malone, Vintage Gardenia, another white floral tuberose scent that has been an on and off love. So what happened to Earth Day? One tiny spray on each wrist and instant headache. So sad! I find it to be completely cloying, and after 2 hours, still cloying tuberose and overpowering. Maybe I need to wait for the drydown because I so want to smell the musk, oak moss and amber base with my beloved tuberose-but I dont have the patience and I need to treat my headache.

This is way to sharp on my skin . the sillage is enormes . I can easely see this filling a whole room the insetense someone enters . Thats hos strong this feals on my skin. I cant wear to strong tuberoses because i get a headache . This will shurly make my head hurts instently. The perfume in its sef is beautiful if you like Tuberose and sweet florals . Absolutly white flower and totaly feminin. Not a masculine note in sight for shure. Im shure there will be many lovers of this scent . Its just not for me sadly

Oof!! This one is surprisingly strong! I get a touch of the opening citrus, but it is pretty much instantly into high white florals and tuberose territory.. and on me it doesn't move too far from that. It is pretty with beautiful, quality notes actually, but this one is FAR too much for me - full on headache territory!! Definitely worth a sample for any white flowers fan, but NOT a safe blind buy.

Instant scrubber, and I love tuberose especially Carnal Flower. Headache inducing old lady juice and some strong smelling bar soap (Irish spring maybe?) strapped to your nose. Gross and so much of it.

It has some unpleasant sharp green note, not sure with one, but it is overwhelming, longevity is average. Did not pick this one.

When I smelled this at the store it immediately reminded me of tuberose, jasmines, orange blossoms, grass and soap. The sales lady said I was right on and she said its a new release by Bond. She gave me a sample and I told her its pretty feminine & she said it's unisex and a Earth day release. Its not really my type of go-to scent & it reminds me of a clean after the shower smell in a floral garden but i'd try it. She said "exactly, this is for the morning just came out of the shower I feel clean ready to start my day at work wake the senses fragrance." I told her its too floral and a common coapy scent and she kept putting off the fact that i kept bringing up a floral dfeminine sense & kept catering that its unisex and its more green and fresh clean scent. I see it states its for women. So I was dead on about it being to feminine for my taste. I guess a guy might pull it off depending on his pH, except its more floral than grassy.

Let me lead off by saying that I like this. My first true loves in the perfume world were all white florals, particularly tuberose, and that’s exactly what you get here. Also, it gives me a nostalgic callback to the 70’s, when Coty’s Muguet de Bois was still a thing. It’s not complicated but it’s...pleasant. So I like it, but I don’t get it. I don’t get the positioning. I mean, wouldn’t you think the “Earth Day” fragrance would be a little more...green? And unisex? Ha! You’d be hard pressed to make something more femme than this. It’s like Product Development called down to the lab and said, “we’re doing Earth Day, whatdayagot? Big, retro flowerbomb? Fine. Now it’s Marketing’s problem.” Am I going to enjoy the rest of my sample? Yes. Would I drop $175 for a full bottle? No.

I always wear Bond No.9 but never reviewed them because the Fragrantica clan has a slight hatred towards Bond Lol..But when I saw gang on here loves Earthday I had to try it...Anyway.. I normally wear heavy scents which can be off putting to certain men. I found that Earth day is perfect for me because it is very feminine and girly but it has enough spice or depth to please me who loves enormous scents. I am not good with notes but it is very floral with a hint of spice. It has longevity and projection on me, which is great because I have oily skin. I will agree with the other reviewers this scent is beautiful and will remain in my collection.

Earth Day is much more of a floral than a green scent. The opening is dominated by tuberose and lily of the valley. The dry down has a musky base, but it's still a prominent white floral. I never get much of green scent - there's nothing herbal or vegetal or grassy. Earth Day is nice enough, especially if you're looking for a tuberose-dominant white floral or you're a huge fan of Bond. There are many great tuberose scents, and at this price point, there are some I'd pick ahead of this one (Annick Goutal Tubereuse, Jo Malone Tuberose Angelica, OdlR Corazon).

This is most definitely not a unisex fragrance. My girlfriend loves it and it smells very pretty on her. On her it lasts an eternity and I can even smell it in my apartment after she leaves. She says she can spray it in the morning before work and still smell it at night and I don’t doubt it. I don’t detect much of a green accord as it’s mostly florals with some light musk later in the dry down. If you’re a woman and enjoy the florals you can’t go wrong especially if you get it at a discount.

I wanted to love this perfume. It was an amazing price and the notes looked great, but it was not to be. I thought this was a rather bright fragrance because of the fruity notes, so I understand the "green" part, but on my skin this was simply tangerine and tuberose without much development over time. For me, the notes just didn't go well together. The tangerine became a sort of pineapple note, which didn't help things. Ah well, the bottle was hideous anyways...

Most of the Bonds I love blending for some reason I could put this in my top 5 stand alone Bonds. It is very green and the tuberose is almost medicinal in the opening. Immediately the medicinal goes away and it become a green semi-citrus tuberose fragrance with a lot of punch a little sweet from the tangerine and orange blossom. If I didnt' say it before I will say it again. The Bond event is on it's way and I may be getting a bottle of this.

I got some samples of this at a department store. It is definitely a crisp floral green, with a lot of florals and a little citrus. It's what I would describe as being "perfumy", with some very sharp notes.. However, it did last a while on my skin. Normally, I like Bond No. 9's. I don't find this one special or unique, though.

Holly molly tuberose! Someone compares this Carnal flower? are you nuts? It's more close to Amarige kind of cloying tuberose, or even Narcotic Venus. Not bad whatsoever, yet painfully boring. Don't get me wrong, I love tuberose, but only when that diva sings a proper aria, accompanied by a great orchestra. 3 out of 10

This is tuberose, but not "smack you in the forehead" tuberose. It is listed as a green floral but I don't get any sharp greenness. To me it seemed pretty linear, the tangy citrus disappears quickly and then it is soft tuberose. It reminds me of MK Gold with a drop of MJ Daisy. Moderate silage and lasting power.

This stays permanently on my skin even after scrubbing myself raw in the shower. Why? It is so strong, the smell of tube flower is very prominent... It becomes very soapy after a few hours. This doesn't smell like what I imagine earth day to smell like. I expected a bit more... "earth"... More soil?

There's nothing green on "I love NY - Earth Day". All you get is a quite linear floral fragrance focused on the tuberose note. If you enjoy this note, it may be your cup of tea, since "Earth Day" lasts a really long time and has almost no evolution.

Ladies and gents, could you please help me find a cheaper fragrance close to this one? It is really expensive and hard to find in my country, but I had it once and I fell in love with it! Thanks in advance for the info!
