Black Karak

After the first spray, I was completely repelled. With indifference and authority it almost seemed to shout: “This is what it is!” I instantly regretted buying this wild, untamed beast. But that was only the beginning of the story. After about forty minutes — following a fierce and almost mad dance of notes — the scent suddenly settled on my skin, still powerful and resolute. At that moment I realised that this reckless creature was one of those fragrances I would actually want by my side. I wouldn’t recommend choosing such a companion blindly, unless you are prepared to cross the boundaries of convention.

Does it smell like a tea fragrance? Nope. And I love it. This is BEAST mode, a scent that gives zero you-know-whats. It smells like a stripper in a leather jacket after a long shift: sweet, dank, loud, unapologetic, and absolutely perfect. Honestly, this might be my new signature scent. This is what perfumery needs: daring art that works without trying to please anyone. It doesn’t care, and I love it. 20/10

The opening is harsh but dries down to a nice milky gourmand. Sticks around for hours as you'd expect. Had a couple of 2ml test samples of this but will now be going for the full bottle.

Amazing, unique perfume. The dry down is one of the best ever smells I have ever purchased my nose to. Absolutely masculine.

Going through the dark red BTSO concentrate line this was initially my favourite because of the dark leather and oud accord dominant opening. It dries to more of a milky sweet vinyl like spice that I don’t like as much. Interestingly very late after 9 hrs it revealed a coffee element I didn’t notice much before. Never had such a late evolution in a scent, pretty cool. Definitely not linear. Preference for this over Black Cream. A bit dense and heavy, but it’s definitely rich and, unsurprisingly, very long lasting (wore a hoodie I had sprayed it with 2 days later and it transferred to the clothing underneath).

what a curious little perfume. I do not like it on my skin because the only note I get is leather unless I breathe VERY deeply. out of curiosity I sprayed it onto a cotton ball just to see if it was me, and it definitely was. I'm not sure why, but I was getting an almost boozy note from this? it smelled like a very specific rum-based cocktail I've had at a bar before. If I'd smelled this blindly I would've suspected it was a spiced rum/leather kind of vibe. I'm sad I don't get the same thing on my skin because I'd LOVE to wear it out to the bar. It's very masc which I like, but I'd try a sample first just in case you're also a leather-only individual

“Black spice” would’ve been a more appropriate name imo My least favorite out of the extreme line. Way too spicy doesn’t resemble the karak i know. Heavy on the cardemom and saffron (that it overshadows the rest of the karak part) in a leather oud base same found in the others in the line

it doesnt smell like karak, it smells like an older arab man drinking karak, because of the strong oud and leather smell of this! leans masculine, heavy oud, leather, a bit spicy. doesnt smell too spicy or milky like karak

Such a leather bomb on my skin, the note is even more prominent than the oud shockingly. You really gotta have the vibe to pull this one off, and sadly I do not 🤣 this is one I can actually appreciate, usually don't like this type of scent but on the right person I feel like it would have craaaazy oomph factor and take them to #1 in the room. It's such an intriguing scent. Honestly if I find a heavier cinnamon scent it might mix well with this.

Just Bought it , It smelled like burnt karak which is basically tea sugar cardamom saffron and milk I picked heavy sweet notes and cardamom and saffron + tea i didnt catch the leathery part, But i still havent worn it i just smelled it at the store. I really liked that it smells like burnt karak that spills on the stove when you make it and some posh scents in the background.

Who the hell said this is very weak in terms of longevity? Idiots and haters. This is 13 hours plus on my skin and one of the reason I can't stand it. Strong is good but this is too strong for its own good.

Coca cola, medicinal, nurse's office, sanitized metal, like the metal spatula thing they use at the dentist's. Something carbonated. Amber, sweet, a trace of wood.

For those who knows how good Karak smells, this will be very interesting. But we’ll see Althair in “this reminds me” section for sure.

As an arabian who drinks karak daily I'm intrigued
