Burnt Roses

As a certified rose hater, I was surprised I liked this well enough to finally buy a bottle when my tester ran out. It's a ozonic, incense (church incense), peppery, spicy rose, I'll have to see if I get more of the salt opening in a larger spray. And it lingers forever. It's a heavier fragrance. But was very different from most rose perfumes I've come across. This one was really a surprise, and the only one I liked from this house in my tester set. Nothing else was quite doing it coming off too heavy hitting, this is actually wearable. The name is kind of a miss, because there's no smoke to be found. It's unisex, but I tend to like more masculine leaning fragrances- it does have a touch of a vintage perfume energy, a little mysterious. This would smell good on anyone. And had great staying power, I even enjoyed it 15 hours later on skin.

gorgeous scent, but certainly not worth the price point. its definitely incense and smokey, but still a delicious blend (might be that salty note that makes it feel mouth-watering? ive never smelled a salt note before!). the rose is clean and sort of sits on top, not quite like theyre burnt. i love it, but one could also get this fragrance for cheaper (and have it last longer) by getting some oils from a spiritual/ crystal shop, haha. i cant see how anyone could dislike the smell itself, its very much a crowd-pleasing, unisex scent!

a sweaty rose. on me the incense is fairly tame and the salt note is very prominent. it’s very long lasting and projects very well. in my top 3 rose scents, along with rose of no man’s land veil rose. I wish I had bought a full size before it was discontinued!

I am not sure why but all the note breakdowns and even the fragrance house name is wrong.... Someone go fix this because this is a great house, not to mention that it is relatively new and very innovative and creative in terms of naming and the overall scent. Burnt Roses is one of the scents that I appreciated in their collection because of the way the rose was presented. It starts off with Incense, pepper, and roses, which really connects back to the naming of the fragrance. As it starts drying down the florals that were present before becomes more opulent than the opening, and I really do like it. The florals weren't as present on paper, but on my skin it develops a whole lot better as the incensy feeling calms down faster. The only thing that I didn't really like is the fact that the patchuoli didn't work that well with the masculine florals, and rather dulled it instead of what it should have done. I believe that this was done very purposely, as the fragrance itself may turn a bit too 'floral', but I appreciate this kind of dry-down as well. Overall, this is a very nicely done fragrance, at a reasonable price and great for niche beginners. It is long lasting, good amount of projection, and has an AMAZING bottle look(Apparently related with some ancient Korean pottery, but I'm not sure). If this is available anywhere around, I'd give it a chance.

At first spray, the aldehydes and ozonic notes have a bleached/chlorinated effect, mixed with a burnt pepper, very true to the fragrance's name. The the rose and lavender give a lift. A lot of strange combinations in here, but I think it really works. The review below calling this a soft melody is right on the nose. This stays very wispy and smoky, I don't get the sandalwood and patchouli which would weigh this down, and that is good news in my book. Does not wear long.

Really pleasant smell, it's not cloying or overwhelming at ALL, not as strong as others from BTSO, so this might need more sprays to get noticed by others. I get roses, wood and spicy notes on my skin. Can't see how anyone would dislike this, however I don't know if I would recommend anyone paying $180 for a bottle of this one. Get it if/when it's on sale IMO.

Peculiar one testing this blind. First wearing I got an initial musky-animalic, almost powdery vine that morphed into something a little more herby and smokey by the end of the day. Second wearing blind the (now knowing rose) floral and smoky element were more upfront. It's a relatively mellow fragrance given the notes. None of them are particularly strong. Even the rose which seems more apparent now isn't in full bloom. It's all a bit of a soft melody. Nice, long lasting, very office safe, and casual, but was enough presence for a late night date. But if you're truly born to stand out, not stand normally, I think others might have something bigger if that's what you're really looking for.

My obsession with burning rose incense lead me to purchasing a sample of this. Overall, this scent did not wow me. The rose note was light and fleeting, leaving behind a masculine cologne smell. Very light scent and definitely not worth the price imo.

Straight incense and that’s it. Smelled this a hundred times before - very unoriginal.

I really like the opening so much its smoky mysterious unique,then a very masculine colonge vibe comes in that I don't care for anymore after&stays,lasts very long,it some what reminds me of a blind buy I got watt pink by confinluxe the perfume bottle that looks like a light 💡 bulb &it's pink,that one smells like frozen roses 🌹 ✨️ in a cold metal vibe note¿chemical lab ?without masculine note slightly powdery &makes my head feel pressure 🙃 great experience 👍 love ❤️ trying new things tho ~♡~no worries only a sample

The name is very misleading, this is an incense focus fragrance not so rosy and nothing burnt. Not very unique but very nicely blended in a way that it is somehow airry and allow other notes to come out and play along side the incense, not as stuffy as a lot of other incense focus fragrances. The scent is quite polite, pretty and easy to wear. Nice but overpriced.

Initial spray, I got rose and some of the aldehyde. It did not spread out much from there. Aldehydes are almost always top notes, and are gone in the blink of an eye. Later, I got some salt. (This was surprising, as I seldom make this scent out.) Near the end, I got salty rose, incense, and some olibanum. Nice, but I like others more.
