Drunk Lovers

I’m going to wait to write my full review, but I wanted to give my initial thoughts until I have my full bottle... Wow! This is an absolutely beautiful unique fragrance. I’m going to wait to call this a masterpiece until I can test the sillage and longevity, but it’s on the verge of being a signature scent. I absolutely hate overly feminine or masculine fragrances - there’s something so off putting about overly gendered fragrance. Unisex fragrances have my heart and I’m always on the search. Drunk Lovers from BTSO, a South Korean fragrance house, is exactly in the center on the spectrum. Super androgynous and sexy. Something you’d smell at the bar and be like... “Is that a man or a woman wearing that because I want to take them both home?!” I found this fragrance on TikTok from a video called “Hoochie Daddy Fragrances” from Sniff with Steph. She described this perfectly - imagine a really sexy man and a really sexy woman leaving a classy cocktail lounge and fooling around on the couch. There’s something feminine and masculine blended with cognac and bad decisions from a night out that makes this so sexy. This is pure drunken androgyny.

I ordered a few samples from this line, Drunk Lovers being one of them. This on a man would make me press myself into him and softly glide my nose around on his skin to find the source. It opens masculine but not so much so a woman couldn't wear this. It starts to turn into something that would make me want the wearer to wrap their arms around me and press their warmth down on me. I would wear it but the opening is more masculine leaning than I am looking for in a fragrance. I know scents behave different on everyone and this is how the DL developed on my skin. I would spray it on myself while I'm wearing just one of his shirts around because he is out of town and I'm missing him and yearning for him. Sigh. I see comparisons to Polo and other inoffensive, easy, pleasing male fragrances but to my nose it is deeper (not in a dark way) and more complex and has a sensual element to it. It's a love for me although not a love on me.

First Impression - Spicebomb Infrared EDT + Ultra Male with pieces of Polo Red minus the coffee and a heavy dose of vanilla. It's insanely good. I don't have any clue why people are saying SWY and Althair, this is not that. It's incredible though, like 10/10 for my style. It's a sweet red fruit cranberry cotton candy-ish top with a resinous, spicy and very faint pale woods background, as well as all that vanilla. Very mass appealing but unique. Definitely check this out if you like Infrared, Ultra Male, Born in Roma Coral Fantasy, Polo Red and vanilla style frags. unisex but leans a bit masculine. More Fall/Winter but wouldn't be super offensive in warmer weather. overall-very sweet & spicy cranberry cotton candy with a warm vanilla-y background

This fragrance is simply amazing! I am never complimented at work about my perfumes, but I wore this to work for the first time today and my co-worker was like, "what is that great smell?" I told her that I hoped it was me. She loved it! To be honest, it starts off a little masculine, but it quickly dries down to something fruity to my nose. It's one of those scents that I can't stop smelling my wrist. I can't recommend it enough. I see the comparisons listed and I don't disagree with any of them, but I added Donna Karan Cashmere & Palo Santo. It has this woody fruitiness that reminds me of it. This would be a year-round fragrance in my mind.

Finally tested BTSO for the first time. I never knew sephora had it. I immediately went to indecent cherry because i always wanted to smell it and honestly ...i was so disappointed, idk why i had high expectations for it i thought it would be similar to lost cherry but i was hella wrong. Anyways i smelled drunk lovers and i was IMPRESSED. Its so sexyyyyy. I tested it on my skin and Ive been sniffing my arms throughout the mall like a tweaker. On me It’s very vanilla-ish but it’s a grown up kind of vanilla. It’s very sophisticated and sexy. I can see myself layering it with a more dark patchouli based perfume on a winter night.

Black Phantom by Kilian’s goody two-shoes cousin. In all seriousness, though, BTSO is the first perfume creator I’ve found that really takes you on a journey from beginning to end. The transformative qualities of their scents and how well they shift from top to middle to base note is incredible. I purchased a sample of Drunk Lovers, wasn’t amazed by it, and then came back to it after several months and felt completely different about it. It’s just feminine enough for me to wear comfortably but has all of those great masculine notes—booze, earth, wood, musk. I’m happy I gave it another shot.

I debated between this and Initio Side Effect, bought Side Effect then had to return it as the bottle was leaking out of the atomizer. I also found Side Effect top heavy on the cardamom (almost curry-esque). So I took it as a sign that Drunk Lovers was the way to go. I’m glad fate pointed me in this direction! It’s along the lines of PDM Meliora mixed with something rum-my or cognac-y but clean and put together and “neat”. It could be boozier but overall, it’s gorgeous. The dry down is mostly sweet berries and a touch of vanilla. Definitely a great purchase.

It’s phenomenal smells incredible on clothes and skin... if ur looking for this type of date night dna you could always go the tempo or amythest route as it’s much cheaper and much more nuclear, with that being said tho this is a masterpiece. If you can find a 1.7 for 160 or cheaper this a must have in your collection. It’s extremely seductive and smells almost like a rum filled cake. It’s better for going out and date nights than a daily wear as it’s strong but it doesn’t radiate like other fragrances in this dna.

This is am amazing fragrance. I will not try to describe what i smell as it is to each nose different, but i will tell you it smells so good, unique and sexy. To me this is perfect date night, evening fragrance. Performance wise, it is not beast mode, not even close. Project closer to skin, so it is not a room-filler but it does not need to be. People closer to you will smell it, that is why to me it is date-night, night-out and also because how sexy it smells. All in all perfect fragrance. It is a 10 for me.

This is possibly the nicest scent on my skin ever, I can smell this for daysss on me. On me it smells somewhat coconuty, which I haven’t seen in the notes. Less cognacy more a spiced, coconut carribian rum. I adore this though, it’s perfectly unisex, while it smells fun, girly and flirty on me, if I ever smelt this on a hot guy in a club I’d be jumping his bones. Smelled it once in a shop and bought it a few days later, as soon as it runs out I’m repurchasing. Best smell I ever did smelt.

Smells like Lord of Misrule by Lush. Everyone seems to say that Nishane Ani is the fancy version of LoMr, but I swear this is it. It's lovely. I need a full bottle right now! It's so deep, mature, not something I'd wear to work, but I will still do that anyways. It dries down pretty masculine on me, but I love it so much. The patchouli note isn't for everyone, my mum hates it, but my dad loves it. I am, however, a sucker for vanilla + patchouli + pepper perfumes so a little biased !

The initial top notes are super sexy. Sweet and a little spicy with a rich full-bodied depth that is kept from being too heavy by the citrus notes (without the citrus notes being prominent). I could not stop smelling my arm and when my husband tested it I kept grabbing his arm and inhaling it in. The dry down is a very wearable musky, not too sweet and not too dry fragrance that could be worn at any time of day. A little boring in the dry down but still really nice.

As the name says, this is romantic. You could use this with your partner while drinking some beers or cocktails, lol. Besides that, this is well blended, sweet and boozy. I’ve tried a lot of borntostandout fragrances and this is one of my favorites. It’s completely different but at the same time mass appealing. Performance is normal, not bad but not that all day projection. This works more as a date fragance. Price is high but discounters is great choice.

fantastic fragrance. drunk lovers is extremely smooth despite all the notes. i’m in love with boozy fragrances and this has the perfect amount of booze. warm but light as well. this isn’t just a fall/winter fragrance either, i get a summer’s night out vibe from this too, or even a date night vibe. glad to know this isn’t one that is overly popular as well, so chances are you wouldn’t smell it on somebody else outside unless they know serious ball.

It’s like having a boozy cream soda (cognac, vanilla, wood, berries) and there’s almost an aftershave vibe, as if there’s a well-dressed man with bare-minimum hygiene chatting you up. As it dries down, you start kissing that man, getting up close and personal. Your drink’s still there, but you can smell his skin and it’s initially...unpleasant, but it starts to grow on you. I’m asexual. I like the idea but may this never find me ✌️

Delicious opening of cognac, juicy berries and citrus, This soon dries down into a sweet creamy sandalwood supported by light vanilla and patchouli, has an "airy" quality to it. Great winter/fall or date night scent, nothing challenging so relatively safe blind buy, longevity on my skin is around 5-6 hours and on clothes is until you wash them, sillage is good. Personally love this scent and is in my top 5 from BTSO. 8/10

I wouldn't consider this gourmand but this is delicious! A new favorite in the collection. Beautifully blended. It reminds me of something else in my collection but I can't put my finger on it. It's amazing. I see some said it reminds them of side effect.....I do not get that at all. I love side effect as well and they are not close. Both great but this is the new kid in my collection. Love it

Best way to describe this fragrance in the opening is if you took the YSL L'Homme DNA + Angel's Share sweetness + Maison Margiela Jazz Club scent profile and combined them all together. After two hours on skin, remove the YSL dna, and you're left with a GORGEOUS Stronger With You/Jazz Club type scent. Absolutely adore this scent.

BORNTOSTANDOUT is making waves in the niche fragrance realm. Drunk Lovers is an attention grabbing scent by Hamid Merati-Kashani. This man is creating straight heat. Drunk Lovers is a boozy, red berry fragrance that is an indulgence of aroma that will make an impression on those around you. Alluring and addictive.

Drunk Lovers was an instant love for me. A boozy woody scent with warm spices and a bright citrussy opening. It doesn't always work out this way but in this case a combination of gorgeous notes give way to a gorgeous smelling fragrance. Perfect for Autumn, although the longevity doesn't seem to be the best.
