Best honey scent there is. This is what i wanted stora skuggan thumbsucker to smell like when i first tried it. This is an amazing boozy slightly animalic sweet honey that is so incredibly good. The honey is done to perfection and smells as realistic as it gets the suede gives it a leathery animalic undertone that just lifts up the honey note. And the rum note is so beatiful. I dont get any floral notes so its not a floral honey fragrance. It also has a very good sweet nutty almond in the opening. 10/10 masterpiece

Somehow feels like everyone else has a wildly different experience from me. I am obsessed with the dry down where I get a soft realistic vanilla with a hint of honey and a nice muskiness that isn't overwhelming. It feels like a blanket that's soaked up your scent, something so extremely comforting yet sexy in a playfully cute manner. If you were to find anything offensive you might interpret the musk in a ball sweat manner but its the kind of nasty you keep wanting to sniff.

This is such an unique and great fragrance. I don’t understand why users don’t give it it’s due credit. A beautiful, very prominent and long lasting honey note, not unlike zoologists Bee. I also has a touch of almond and an anilaic character that is not unpleasant at all but heather sexy and addictive. Got my my full bottle after finishing my sample. It is o boat with Dilthy musk in terms of uniqueness and beauty.

Randomly tried this one; upon first spray, the rum and almond notes are the strongest. The dry down is delicious and it turns to a powdery honey scent. This alone makes me want to buy it, like honeycomb and vanilla. Would be great for layering too. Love! If you enjoy warm scents that arent overly sweet, you'd like this!

Skanky honey that's wearable. This is much more successfully doing what Sadonaso tried to do.

Imagine its 2229, the robots now rule earth. They are very finely made with all kinds of fine gears that need lubrication oil. Like Humans, the robots like fragrances - a very popular product is honey flavoured Gear oil. That's what Lanimal smells like. Its like you opened a robot who has added honey to his gear oil. Smelling like a slightly sweet gear oil and gears mixed with light honey. Its very thick. Definitely L'Animal is an appropriate name: as its animalic to Human noses...its a better name than the alternative - "Honey flaovored Gear oil for Robots". I don't mind this. Its very futuristic. It doesn't project strongly, but it lasts a good while. 7.4/10.

Initial spray, my fionce said I smelled like a budgie. I like budgies. After 10-15 minutes it’s honey and leather. That lasts for a while. In the drydown, realistic beeswax and leather smell. That lasts for a eternity. Over 18 hours later I still smell the honey pretty strong. And I took 1 little spray as a test. I really enjoy the scent. I didn’t get any unpleasant animalic note, just the opening was like smelling a budgie. I blind bought it and it was a good fit for my taste. But I don’t think it’s a very safe blind buy. If your not in to strong honey and leather, I would try it first before you buy.

Immediate photorealistic honey note. Not just "honey" but the honeycomb, thick sweetness. Suede is definitely there as well, and gives it a darkness with the tobacco, but it isn't a sort of classic "tobacco leather" scent, it's unlike anything else. This has so much depth and interest, and I don't think it's for everyone, but if you can pull this off and like this, you are the chosen one.

Not super complex but so pretty. My thought on first smell was that it was a sexy, musky scent but now after a few hours it’s dried to be a powdery, honey, sweet, warm and cozy scent. I love that this is a natural sweetness rather than a synthetic vanilla kind, but if you don’t like sweet you won’t enjoy this. Overall, I absolutely love this perfume.

Opening is a bit skanky, baby powdery but not as offensive, with the sweet honey base. It’s actually quite an interesting and good scent, the honey is fantastically sweet and edible. Pleasantly surprised

Recipe for L'Animal: Blend 2 tbsp baby powder, 1/2 a cup of indolic jasmine absolute, and 1 full tablet of unfathomable lust in the zoo. Boil in the sun until thick: BOOM. Up close, our animal is definitely a growler. One heck of it. Almost explosively, in your face yells bitter, leathery florals packed so tightly they almost bruise. Not to mention there’s a waxy, musky powderiness that verges on diaper-thrown-on-a-reed-diffuser. Diaper but make it couture if you catch my drift; skanky but in that vintage, civet-under-a-corset way. Cumin, something vaguely bodily, rubbed into fabric and left to dry. Chalky and soft, but feral at the edges. But take a step back and this is a different fragrance altogether From afar, it’s rather drop dead. Stunning maybe; but I couldn't be sure. A narcotic halo of honey-drizzled jasmine and indolic white flowers. It smells like someone dressed too nicely for the depraved deeds they’re about to do. All silk slip and dangerous, disgusting intentions. There’s a sweetness, yes, but it’s not innocent. It’s the kind that lingers on sweaty perfumed collarbones and filthy laundered bedsheets. Yuck but also, yum. There’s something oddly sharp too, like that addictive sniff of a sharpie that your adolescent ass couldn't help but come back to guiltily; just imagine a whiff of that cold permanent-marker-ethanol in a heatwave. That aldehydic hiss, like musks whistling through a clean shirt worn one day too long. Ambrettolide, maybe. One of those pretty synthetic musks that masks nothing but makes it all smell expensive. I don’t know if I love it or if I want it off me. But I keep going back, that's for sure. Spritz, recoil, sigh.

I've never smelled anything I truly loved from BTSO, but I must say this is an interesting one. It's nearly impossible to categorize. Pairing a full-bodied honey with a powdery, cosmetic accord completely blindsided me. You would think it might soften the fragrance, but it only pushes it into funkier territories. The end result isn't necessarily a hit, but it is captivating at the very least.

An immediately recognizable and palatable combination of almonds, powder, and honey. Simple, sweet, and not at all what I was expecting from the name; L’animal evokes visions of sex, sweat, and skin to me, but this fragrance is youthful and innocent. I’ve come to expect complexity from BTSO and didn’t find it here. It’s timid and summery if that’s your speed.

Be careful with this one, test it on skin first, I tried it on paper and it was beautiful honey mixed with rum and little hint of tobacco in background. But on my skin there is tons of honey little bit of rum in background and that is it. Still not bad scent but definitely test it first.

was waiting for the animalic notes to kick in but they never did , i have to add that it has a smokey note to my nose that doesn't appear here like most of their of their perfumes good but not worth 220$/50ml imo

Warm, powdery. Maybe honey, maybe vanilla. Kinda musky. Strikes me as more masculine than feminine. I'm not getting a lot of the subtlety other people seem to find in this, to be honest. It's alright.

a surprisingly wearable honied floral with grounding wood. I'm going to keep sampling longer, but it's definitely a like for me.

L’Animal started off promising on paper with the idea of almond, rum, suede, and honey, but on my skin it turned into something much more powdery and cosmetic than expected. The heliotrope dominates this fragrance almost immediately, transforming what could have been a warm suede scent into a soft-focus cloud of powdery almond floral. Instead of rich marzipan almond or boozy rum warmth, I mostly get heliotrope and honey, which together create a very “luxury baby oil” effect on my skin. The suede note unfortunately never gets the spotlight it deserves. I was hoping for texture — soft leather, warmth, maybe a cool-girl suede jacket feeling — but the powderiness swallows the suede before it can really emerge. The nutmeg is also surprisingly muted and doesn’t give the realistic fresh spice I expected. This perfume feels more cosmetic and nostalgic than sensual to me. If you love heliotrope-heavy fragrances with a soft powdery skin-scent quality, you may enjoy this. But if you’re expecting boozy almond suede with depth and texture, test before buying. I’m very glad I sampled this first because on my skin it ended up smelling like an extremely expensive Johnson & Johnson baby oil reinterpretation.

This one lasted for at least 8 hours. I wish it smelled more like almond. All I could smell was leather and something animalic. After about 8 hours, all I could smell was ferret. I am interested to see if someone actually finds this pleasant. Like, would you wear this on a date? to the movies? out grocery shopping. Very different.

Just so not for me. To me, the scent is less honey and more waxy... earwaxy! Definitely an interesting scent and is not necessarily unpleasant if smelled close to the skin but wafting towards me, I find it disconcerting. More animalic and loud to me than sweet and sensual. Definitely not a safe blind buy.

Something powdery, sweet and spicy in the beginning, and just in one hour you have a trace of honey. That's all! A very pricey skin scent. Money for nothing.

Not what I expected! Not a sweet sniff to be found! Very light/musky! (Good sillage/power, not super/nuclear) The opening is bitter almond and reminds me of Pegasus. The honey is dry and crumbly and heliotrope add all sorts of powder. But then I get MUSK and a smooooth suede/sandalwood- which reminds me of Rammstein Sex Elixir. I turned my 1.2ml sample into a 10 ml decant. It's not a love/obsession but very good for the suede musk with a strong almond opening. I would have preferred more gourmand notes and weirder animal notes. Oh well. I'll always have Be My Cookie- which I keep huffing the cap like a fiend. Update- Filthy Musk takes this a bit further with fun sweet notes, I like that more.

I was going to say the reviewer below me is rather spot-on with their description, but that's how I felt about it mostly in the opening few minutes. A bit later and I think it develops a sharp animalic scratchiness that is a little more bracing and intense, but still mostly honey. It's like you're about to sneeze with all the pollen surrounding you, and then some mild antisceptic soapy feeling likely from the heliotrope that I agree reminds me of wet wipes or baby products. Overall though you must like honey, and any kind of animalic edge it sometimes has. It's more hard-edged and raw than seductively ambered or musky though and that's where it strays away from childish for me.

This smells like straight up honey and it lasts for a million years. If anyone loves a honey note in perfumes and always wished it would be more in the forefront this perfume is for you. I think it would also smell pretty on the majority of people as most of these notes are inoffensive. For me the honey notes always project really strongly so it was a bit too cloying and sweet for my taste, especially the first hour or two. I preferred it after around five hours when the creamier powdery notes started to come out. And yes this lasted like ten hours on my skin, so the longevity is insane.

good perfume, but very misleading name. well, technically honey is an animalic note since the bee is an animal, but the animal that the scent is the most evocative of is probably the human baby. the leather is present but only ever in the background of the honey and powder notes. far from being a raw and dirty animalic, the scent reminds me of baby products and honey. the leather is maybe the strap of the baby seat. lol. anyway, that being said it’s a very good honey scent. not overly sweet and cloying in that sense. it even is comforting. le fetus.

At first spray, I found it nice... But it's a beast mode type of perfume. I usually don't complain about it but it's way too much for me. One spray on my wrist and I was left with a cloying smell of overly sweet honey and almonds. If you don't mind it, good for you, but I like to be able to modulate the intensity of my fragrances.

L'Animal is not as animalic as I expected, and while I do smell the notes of honey, powder and suede it all combines to smell like markers. It's actually not a BAD smell, I can see it being mildly addicting like smelling gasoline, but I don't see how/why this was made into a perfume.

this is one of my favourites from BTSO, unexpectedly. it caught me off guard. it’s a honey scent different from ones i’ve smelled before - it’s powdery, musky, almost skin-scent like although the longevity is very strong. I really love it.

Smells like someone lathered deer hide in honey. Unique animalic scent, not for blind buying. Pleasant in my opinion, but you gotta try it first.

A dissonant composition. The listed notes are there but end up merging into a sweetened coffee-like beverage with animalic elements.

Boozy, waxy honey. Beautiful! 10/10, I'll buy a full bottle as soon as possible.
