Nanatopia

I find this hard to describe without gently knocking it and myself for wearing it, but whatever, thats part of its fun. Something about a banana and rum fragrance instantly takes me to the image of a young guy in too much Lynx, clutching a cheap cocktail at a terrible nightclub. I imagine adding jungle essence to the rum has a lot to answer for re: that vibe. And yes, this is that. But it is also so much more. It is rum, it is banana, it is banana bread. It is the laughter and heat of the dance floor, the sweetness of being young and carefree, the slightly clumsy attempts to impress, and the easy camaraderie of passing (I guess banana based/ rum) drinks to friends. The nutmeg adds spice to keep it interesting. As it settles, it warms some ambery orcanox, turning the banana bread into something that feels fresh from the oven. The banana here is lush and full. After trying this, I started a dedicated section for banana in my perfume collection. I have never been asked if I smell like bananas, nor have I been complimented on it, but it always makes me happy. And of course, that is the best reason to wear a fragrance. TLDR: wear this if you're curious about smelling like photorealistic banana bread, but from the perspective of a young guy who will probably spray it on his balls. You will then start a banana section in your perfume collection and spend real money on banana perfumes. So also maybe don't. I have NO regrets though. I'm always ready for dessert perfume, and I am also now ready to freaky friday and spray it on my balls! ;-) note: *I have the Dua of this, I would say it's a pretty great dupe. *I am not a young guy wearing too much lynx, I am an industrial gourmand loving nightclub avoiding grown up adult person. I really love this perfume and I find the lynx guy amusing.

looking through these reviews, i'm a little shocked at how many people are writing about how they aren't getting banana, or it being reminiscent of medicine. personally, i get a strong banana scent right off the bat—a very ripe banana with its sugars and creaminess. the rum and cinnamon definitely help to add those deeper complexities to the fragrance, and the subtle hints of nutmeg and caramel add to the whole banana bread vibe (and probably help make it more realistic). i've never smelled a banana note in perfumery, and i believe BTSO has created a really good one here. the rum adds a bit of darkness to the fragrance, and the cypriol oil in the base grounds the sweetness (if it were any sweeter, it'd be too much, i think). think of a dark rum-infused banana bread. kinda nostalgic for me, that's how my family does it! the heat and spice coming from the nutmeg and cinnamon vaguely remind me of one of those churro carts at amusement parks too lmao. anyway, it's delicious and i think it's worth trying if you're into gourmand fragrances. i can see longevity and sillage being enough in this one too, as i can smell it just fine hours after applying it.

I first tested Nanatopia in August, when the heat was still lingering in the air. On my skin, the opening leaned overly sweet-almost syrupy. While the rum and cinnamon were immediately apparent and impressively long-lasting, the promised banana note was elusive. Curiosity led me to revisit the fragrance in cooler weather, and the transformation was striking. The banana revealed itself right from the start-ripe, warm, and decadent. The composition unfolded like a loaf of freshly baked banana bread, laced with rum essence, caramelized fruit, and a dusting of nutmeg and cinnamon. Nanatopia is undeniably gourmand, yet it avoids becoming cloying. Its sweetness feels textured and dimensional rather than flat, offering a sense of indulgence without excess. It is a fragrance that intoxicates the senses, wrapping the wearer in warmth and richness, but it never overwhelms.

Just got a sample of this on Luckyscent after purchasing Nota Loca from Ulyka parfums... It's quite different and not as sweet sticky gourmand as I thought. LOTS of spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and there must be some note in here giving it a cherry chapstick smell? However, once I wrapped my head around what the scent actually is, I'm impressed! I can get hints of a spicy, rum soaked banana bread, and it's so good! Just for it's uniqueness and head turning effect, I ordered the 50 mL... maybe not a good decision because of that insane price tag ($210!!). I'm just starting to test out and venture into the true "niche" realm of fragrances. Just for Nanatopia's uniqueness, it got me! Edit: I received the full bottle, and after wearing this perfume a few times, I'm now obsessed! It's so beautiful and unique and smells exactly like a spiced banana bread. Love it!

My bf and I both almost sniffed my arm off after the initial spray as we both smelled delicious, syrupey banana bread...delicious! I cannot get over how realistic this is. While I really wanted that banana bread to stay forever, the drydown is beautiful. It's completely opposite of the beginning. Spicey, rum type of scent. Potent. I see others got a patchouli scent from the drydown but not me. It's a beautifully aged, brown booze scent. Very potent. I am still hunting a banana frag that carries the note throughout but I love this. NOT a safe blind buy but for me it is😂

I love this. Will wear it anytime, anywhere. The drydown is heavenly. I'm glad I got it before reading the negative reviews that would perhaps deter me from doing so. Starts off earthy and nutmeggy, which I don't usually like, but the other notes start appearing and it becomes mouthwatering for me. It's perfect for layering with even sweeter scents if you can't stand the spices. But if you don't like the spices, why would you even get it?

This is my first from this brand. Wow, what a surprise, this might be the only banana scent I have ever liked. The blend is fantastic and the ingredients are clearly high-quality. The strongest notes are the banana and the sweet syrupy rum, but thankfully the cereal and cypriol give this scent more complexity and texture than just a regular desserty gourmand

That’s a funny and childish scent. But in a good way! I really enjoy the “banana flambé” scent with realistic bananas and burnt sugar. It smells really edible, so I’m not sure if it’s worth to wear as a fragrance. But it does really have a really enjoyable smell. Makes me smile :) UTD: on the skin it smells worth... like some burnt rubber

I love this banana bread erm sorry I mean perfume. Edible feel and addictive but avoid if you don't like gourmand scents. Go South Korea bring it on, I seem to love every literal beauty/cosmetic product you put out there. I agree with the user who thought Pacman would rock this scent. I feel very Pacman (Pacwoman) when I wear it.

This is so unique! I didn’t know it had a banana note and had I known, I wouldn’t even have bothered to sample it. But I’m so glad I did! It’s sweet and spicy, so delicious. The bread note is very realistic and meshes so well with the nutmeg and caramel. It’s like a warm nutty banana bread straight out of the oven.

it's spring. i do not care. i am wearing this for the rest of my life and smelling myself. boozy rum raisins, that opening whiff of banana, just an overall feeling of PLEASANTNESS but not smelling blatantly like a bakery (which i also don't mind!). obsessed. OBSESSED.

Got a sample. Smells like freshly baked banana bread soaked in rum. It’s fruity and boozy. Pure gourmand. I don’t even like banana scents or banana flavored things but I love this. Will be purchasing whole bottle.

LOVE this so much, smells like banoffee to me, wouldn't say it's a safe blind buy , but definitely recommend it to gourmand lovers

This is by far my favorite perfume ! I absolutely love it. Sweet gourmand and warm without being too much and it lasts forever.

Nanatopia opens with this soft golden warmth, fleeting but unmistakable—the scent of banana bread still steaming, its crust just shy of caramelized. But before you can sink into it, your sweet treat receives this rich splash of boozy liqueur, the kind that seeps deep into the crumbs, making them moist, sticky. Not a light rum, not a clean vanilla extract, but something dense, darker—almost medicinal in the way it lingers at the edges. Slowly, spice creeps in as well. A balsamic tang, a hint of clove or nutmeg, these twists really help to deepen the composition, adding texture where there was once just plush single-note warmth. The sweetness, golden and airy, photorealistic at the beginning, now is grounded, dusted with something almost resinous, soaked in something more matured, more artisanal. It’s still gourmand, but now even more wearable as a fragrance, with that little bit of murky complexity that stops it from being just another forgettable dessert in a bottle.

at the start, this is YUM. i'm definitely biased because i read so many reviews that said this exact thing, but the opening smells exactly like a warm banana bread soaked in rum - almost edible. but then when it dries down that cakey thing i love goes away, and it leaves behind spices, wood, and a little bit of vanilla. it's still sweet but in a different way, not so gourmand anymore. it reminds me of south asia for some reason - probably the spices - like something delicious you might smell in an indian market. overall a really solid fragrance, i wanted to love it because of the first few minutes but the dry down really changes it. it's not bad or anything, just a little disappointing after the deliciousness of the opening. if that spicy thing is your vibe tho it's a good buy!

First impression is that it totally smells like you've stuck your nose in a fresh banana nut muffin. It does dry down a little more synthetic than gourmand, and I was hoping to get more of the caramel, but something about this is... odd. Maybe it's the Cypriol or Orcanox? I have no idea. I can't really put my finger on what this smells like in the dry down. It's totally earthy as others have said, which seems to not quite mix well with the wonderful, sweet ripened banana opening. I don't really have much of an opinion? I mean I like it, but it didn't make me roll my eyes back in my head. I don't know if I could see myself purchasing a FB yet. 5.5/10

This smells wonderful. Off the opening you can definitely get a punch in the face from the rum, a great amount of nutmeg and a touch of cinnamon. By the time it hits the middle notes, the banana note shines mores and is amplified if on clothes rather than skin. It’s like a boozy 17% ABV banana shake topped with nutmeg and cinnamon. Now the banana note sneaks around there, but it’s one of those slightly overripe bananas if you know what I mean. it’s a blended together well as a creative gourmand profile. Definitely useful for the fall and winter. It is ETERNAL on clothing.

This opens delicious, with a mouthwatering photorealistic banana bread note. However, it’s short-lived, as you’re hit with a potent dose of cinnamon, nutmeg and rum. The scent transforms into a boozy-spicy dessert. Unfortunately the banana-bread note fades too soon. Great creation but not full bottle worthy for me. Not yet, at least. This is just a first impression. Update: I was wrong, the banana bread note is still present, albeit much fainter than in the opening. It lingers in the background overshadowed by the spices and rum.

Delicious fruity, sweet and boozy scent. A banana bread with a good dose of cinnamon and even a hint of sweet apple. Could border into diabetically sweet category as it has very little balancing agents at the base, but you know what, I still love it. Lasts forever as well, especially on clothes. It's been 4 days and I still smell it on my jacket. Great projection as well. Delicious but not for everyone.
