BTSO Nuts really surprised me. On first spray, it instantly reminded me of DS & Durga Pistachio, that creamy pistachio‐almond warmth wrapped in vanilla and patchouli but then it softens into something more indulgent, more inviting. The opening is absolutely delicious: caramel, rum and honey glow for a moment, sweet and syrupy, before sinking quietly into skin. What I appreciate most is how controlled it feels. It flirts with gourmand territory but never crosses into smelling like dessert. There’s just enough herbal‐woody nuance from davana, guaiac wood, and patchouli to keep it grounded and grown‐up. It feels cosy but not cloying, sensual without trying too hard. Completely unisex and very much my kind of scent. There’s also this subtle hum of tobacco and sesame in the background, nothing loud, just a soft depth that makes the fragrance feel textured and warm. I’m especially grateful for that restraint; too many scents let tobacco or coffee take over and here everything stays beautifully in balance. Performance? Way better than I expected. I did one wrist spray while unboxing it and five hours later I was still catching those nutty, syrupy whispers in the air. Even when it sits close, it’s the kind of skin scent that makes you keep bringing your wrist back to your nose, just for another hit. My only hesitation is the bottle size for the price... but if I see it discounted? I won’t hesitate to grab a backup.

On a blotter, I was overwhelmed by pistachio and almond. I almost didn't test it on skin because I thought it was too gourmand for me, but I'm sure glad that I did. The wood, musk, and creamy notes come out more on the skin and balance out the sweetness and nuts so I don't feel like literal food when I wear it. It's not cloying or heavy. The texture is airy, dry, and a little powdery. There's something so comforting and addicting about this scent that I quickly finished my sample and had to purchase a full bottle. Sillage and longevity are great on me and I've gotten many compliments. I'm surprised that other reviewers found this patchouli forward, because I don't get that at all. DS & Durga's Pistachio has much more patchouli and spice that you almost lose the nuttiness. Not the case here.

🍧Mmmm this fragrance is so delicious. Smelling this, I initially get sweet creamy pistachio gelato. There's a good blend of vanilla and almond, which brings out more of the pistachio and moves it forward. Underneath, I get some caramel and boozyness notes. Then a kiss of patchouli sets in and balances the sweetness and adds a little sexyness. 💚The touch of patchouli makes this unisex IMO. It's neither too girly or masculine. Its not cloying or loud/offensive. No headaches. It's cozy, warm, and comforting. Would be excellent for layering or worn alone. Looooove ! 10/10 My favorite of the brand ! and some have disappointed me... ( love also Musk X but this one has my heart. ) On my skin she starts crazily sweet , to end on a more salty "burnt sesame" note in the dry-down, which i love. She's sweet and nutty and makes me wanna lean forward to anyone wearing it. It's addictive, aphrodisiac , well balanced super sweet and absolutely a dream for a sweet gourmand lover like me. Even though it's super sweet, It's not cloying but balanced , i sense a lot of caramel and sesame and i love it ! I would describe this as a sweet sesame perfume more then anything, and i'm so here for it ! It's the sweet sister of Frustration by Etat Libre D orange.

this is addictive. at first spray i wasn't impressed, the nutty smell was too sharp and green i didnt think it would be my thing, but after about 20 minutes i got HOOKED. the dry down is a beautiful warm vanilla that has a boozy undertone, with a rich sweetness from the honey. it has a faint impression of nuttiness but definitely not as much as you'd expect from the name - i probably wouldn't have even noticed the nuts from a blind smell test. i absolutely adore this and its amazing in its own right, but if you really want a nutty fragrance this isn't it. if you love vanilla though i'd say give it a try cause it's just so delicious. its comforting and cozy, perfect for autumn/winter

Somehow this really works on me. I don't usually enjoy these thick, creamy gourmands on me or on anyone, but this one harmonizes with my skin chemistry. This is what I wished all those TikTok famous, vanilla-heavy, over-the-top-sweet perfumes would smell like. I will say though, I have a dabber of this (not a spray) and that's definitely affecting my impression on the perfume. I'm not getting an offensive first spray or anything. Just dab dab dab, immediately gourmand nuttiness I want to wrap myself in. I'm sure if I tested via spray bottle, my review wouldn't be so straight forward. The dabber packs a punch. I can imagine two sprays of this being more than enough.

The opening is like honeyed nuts, dessert-like and intensely gourmand. Sweet and joyful. As the fragrance unfolds, the composition becomes slightly smoother; the sugary facet softens, while richer, heavier nuances of resins, patchouli, and tobacco emerge, though sweetness remains at the core. The scent gradually becomes more oriental and less purely dessert-like. Longevity and sillage are very good, while the pleasure of wearing it is exceptional. A fragrance that lifts the mood and brings comfort. Warm, sweet, long-lasting, and delightfully nutty.

I LOVE it, even though it actually doesn't remind me of nuts and I do enjoy the smell of nuts. On my skin I'm mainly smelling the honey, sesame, caramel, and vanilla. No pistachio or almond. After I wear this, by the end of the day, all of the beautiful notes fade away and it smells like dried saliva. I blind bought and it is much better than I expected. This is actually the best gourmand pistachio I’ve owned .I’m getting a pistachio ice cream with a boozy amaretto icing . I enjoy this Even more than kayali Pistachio . It’s much more complex and has depth, also not mention its long lasting and projects ! I can’t stop sniffing myself, it’s very addictive and warming . This is a safe blind buy !

This is a delightfully nutty, milky, caramel infused scent. It opens with the pistachio accord, then melts into something sweet and spicy almost reminiscent of honey. I plan to replace my Mugler Angel with a full-size of this once it runs out because they both hit the same sticky-sweet pleasure buttons for me.

It’s nice, my favorite of the three new releases. A very pleasant nutty vanilla. I can see mass appeal with this fragrance. It smells similar to other very popular vanilla fragrances. Definitely a crowd pleaser. The bottle is cute and the name is catchy. I always enjoy BTSO drop.

First of all i do not know how people don't get the pistacchio and the almond ! I will start saying this is the sweetest fragrance i own if you don't like gourmands nor sweet fragrance yo should opt for Casamorati lira less sweet very good almond note. Starting with the review i will have to disagree with people who don't like the opening, Yes it is synthetic but not overpowering, very nutty opening, Pistacchio, Rum, Honey, Caramel and the most prominent note almond. No, it doesn't smell like a snickers bar nor. After a nutty blast opening It settles down on a very gourmand sweet caramel. It smells very edible a bit synthetic and to be honest but super pleasant ! After that it stays linear in a beautiful accord of caramel and guiac wood and vanilla. Guaiac woods smells almost like bakery cream for those wondering and i think that is why nobody voted it in the note break down. This fragrance, got me a bit surprised i was expecting more pistacchio to be fair after the opening it goes in the backround of the structure, and i wasn't expecting this type of caramel, very dominant thrueout of the the whole composition. Still pleasent but imo a bit overly syinthetic... If you don't like sweet caramel gourmand like fragrance save yourself 190 bucks. It is too expensive and the presentation is totally lacking... the cap feels super cheap and for a bottle of 50ml 190eu are unjustified especially if it comes in a paper box. I like the bottle design but plastic ? for this price ? Unacceptable... I expect much more... Defentely female leaning but also wearable by guys. I don't see a man over 30 wearing this fragrance however... Is it worth buying ? yes Because there's few of its kind and i've smelled Yum Yum the major cheap competitor. It has nothing to do with this. In my humble opinion it smells like a synthetic mess a bit. Very synthetic. Another bad mark for this gragrance is projection... Longevity is allright, 6 hrs is what you will realistically get. But Projection is only in the first 30 minutes after that it just stays very close to the skyn... If you want my trick spray in the clothes. Now I do understand the fact that this is a korean brand where perfume is supposed to be intimate and not project to much, also because in plenty of places perfume is not even allowed and i get that people in that part of asia don't like to stand out as much, but... the whole brand is called Born to stand out why would you make it low projection ? Feels like a contradiction. Mark: 7.8 Because of the price, the pres and the projection. scent wise is a 9/10

Sampling Borntostandout Nuts (formerly Happy Nuts, as best I can tell), a fittingly nut-led blend that has a syrupy sweet quality mixed with a heady sharpness via the combination of the pistachio and almond, two of the sharper nutty notes in fragrance, though both the sweetness and sharpness become toned with time as the fragrance dries down, becoming a bit more of a sturdy gourmand than something too edgy. Other notes include woods, spices, and other gourmand elements like caramel and vanilla. It’s tender and has an aromatic component that gives it an air of sophistication while still being a mostly-gourmand. It’s likely among my few favorites of the house while not being an amazing standout, not quite having the effect of Drunk Maple, for instance, but I quite like it and it performs well. Like the rest of the line, this is EDP concentration and pried at $210 for 50ml, available in the US via boutiques like Ministry of Scent. 7 out of 10

Sometimes almond and pistachio notes tend to go sickly on me but this one didn't. The rum is quite powerful, though, and takes away from it's overall "nuttiness", but I still really enjoy this one. It's a sweet and creamy toasted pistachio with facets of caramel and honey. Could probably benefit from less rum and more nuts IMO. I don't find that I enjoy the dry down of these BTSO fragrances as much as the opening - they all seem to dry with so much patchouli and the rum in these things lingers forever and tends to get stronger over time. They almost all have that "perfumey" vibe when they're dry instead of being soft and subtle. The good thing, though, is that you can smell them forever - they have great sillage and lasting power. So far, my favorites from this line are Dirty Rice and Sugar Addict. I would love to sample more! 7.5/10

Got a trial decant of this because I love gourmand nut fragrances, but I have to say I don’t think this is worth the price tag. I don’t have issues with it being cloying and haven’t noticed an issue with the initial spray. What doesn’t make it worth it to me is that it’s pretty linear, all I get is caramel, maybe a tiny bit of almond, and vanilla. I do initially get the rum, which makes the first hour or so remind me of TF’s Bitter Peach, but lucky for me it doesn’t stay so strong because that one does make me a little nauseous after a while of wear. I would say if you like this kind of fragrance, maybe try Ellie Saab’s Girl of Now line, I have the Lovely flanker and it’s definitely in the same realm but not a dupe. The original (which I smelt briefly at a shop) might be even closer to this one but I haven’t tested them side by side.

When I first smelled this I got aloooot of a vodka note, but it transformed quickly into a liquor scent, very sweet and a touch of wood. Then when I got it on my skin I just got that sweet marzipan smell, no liquor or anything, but a woody constrast. Almost like a caramel, but in a good way because it is supported by something dark and deeper. After a while it get more salty and nutty, like a salt caramel, and oh-how-gourmand it becomes. I really just want to lick my arm and I have to admit that I’m not that big of a fan of caramel! The rum scent also appears more after it settles into the skin and blends with it all. TLDR; A salt, creamy scent with sweet sweet sweet caramel.

The pistachio note doesn’t come through for me at all (and I’m not mad about that)! Caramel, almond, and the boozy note of rum come together at first. Then the middle notes really come through and stay on your skin. The sillage is only within your close circle, because my nail tech today and the nail tech next to her could smell it but no one passing by or the next aisle over! Overall a pleasant sent. The green that comes through isn’t pistachio, but definitely the davana and patchouli but it isn’t a patchouli bomb in me like pistachio by ds&durga. If you’re looking for a nutty scent, this is definitely it :)

I bought a sample (cuz girl not about to blind buy a 210 dollar bottle) and I don’t really know how I feel about it yet. At first I thought it was way to strong and powdery, but after wearing it on my skin, I really like it. I definitely get nuts and I wish it was warmer, but I think the sweetness of honey helps a bit. It lasts on my skin and clothes for a while and I’ve gotten compliments. I’m not sure if I would repurchase for my personal collection, but it is a nice scent.

Enjoyable nutty smell, definitely pleasant and not cloying, but not particularly special to me, at least not enough for the price tag. Maybe could be considered if it was literally half the price as I don't find it to have too much depth, nor do I think it was done super well. You would think with so many notes there would be depth but they kind of mash together into a pleasant smell but not one that really stands out as a must own.

Sweet Almond Milk-whipped into a cream, dusted with sugary pistachios and a whisper of tonka. Not incredibly complex and nothing in particular noted in the drydown, but a floaty warmth instead. Cosy in a delicate way. If you don't enjoy a powdery gourmand, or like a super intense syrupy gourmand- I can't imagine you'll like this all too much. Worn on a temperate spring afternoon, and had average longevity.

Smells like a cough drop until it really settles in, then it gets a bit almondy until it settles into a sweet caramel/honey that isn't very nutty at all. Disappointing only if you really want it to smell more like the pistachio and almond, but honestly very delicious when it settles.

I smell mostly pistachio, almond and rum so for me that’s a very delicious fragrance! Won’t be my favorite because I’m not a huge fan of honey in my perfumes but it’s definitely worth checking it out :) the smell of caramel stays for extremely long amount of time

Very fun perfume but not worth purchasing a full bottle if you already own any darker gourmands. It does open nutty but the caramel, vanilla, and rum overwhelm everything about 20 minutes in. Could have been interesting.

One of the nuttiest fragrances ive tried and I love it - I smell a lot of the pistachio, and the sweet base is incredible. As a few hours pass it becomes less sweet and more musky.

Liked the pistachio and almond notes . It's a sweet nutty dessert like toffee with almonds at he very beginning. Then it changes and turns to clean nutty soap

Happy Nuts is a so very odd name for something this dry and serious. Be prepared: no warmth, no roasted praline glow, no playful drizzle of syrup. Just nuts in their fully bare, raw, unadorned formed, as if plucked straight from the earth, cracked open by hand, little bits of dust and dirt still clinging to their shells. It opens a tad jarringly loud, a boozy, medicinal rum-almond slap, the punch of cyanide-tinged kernels drowning in something sharp, something too strong. I'm not talking a comforting amaretto either, just the bitter, unrelenting core of a naked almond stripped of illusion. The bitter walnuts, emphasis on BITTER, creep in next, dry, papery, slightly stale, with their characteristic flaky, astringent skin holding on stubbornly. Pistachio maybe, but surely not the buttery, sugared kind. Instead most prominently the shell, the husk, raw edge in all its greenness. Behind this array of nuts is pipe smoke, skeletal and burnt leaf-esque, the charred remains of a smoker's nutty feast. An addict's melancholic escapism in the middle of the woods. These nuts are in no way happy, but oh are they nuts, alright. Just... be sure to anticipate the resentful kind that leaves that kind of a weird taste in your mouth.

When I first smelled it on a test strip and immediately thought that I am going to buy it at some point, because it reminded me of the smell of those carts with caramelized nuts in nyc. I got a lot of sweetness that was not sugary, but more caramelized and together with the nuttiness - it was perfect. A year later, I tried it on my skin before buying it, and I am glad I did, as it smelled straight like marzipan on me. Marzipan is the only dessert I hate, even though I love almonds, so it was something I’d rather not smell like. Caramelized nuts - big yes, but unfortunately, this was not it. It never developed into anything else, just became less strong as time went by.

this fragrance started out smelling like ferret bedding (probably because of the sesame and davana). after about 6 hours, i worked out a little bit and the heat really brought out the caramel and tonka. the scent that it gives off after 6 hours is suuuper nice, but i would not get a full-size bottle just for the first few hours to smell like a ferret cage. a fragrance that i do sacrifice the nasty (on me) top notes for the yummy dry down is Circus Fantasy by Britney Spears. it will start off smelling like overly sour raspberry, but turn into a nice soapy scent. maybe this is a designated workout fragrance because of how it interacts with body heat.

gee..... this is VERY sweet lol. if you're a fruity, gourmand lover; this is for you! it reminds me of scandal by jean paul gaultier for some reason. i find it quite heavy. you will literally only need one spray to last you the entire day, like the lasting power is really good. definitely NOT for summer. i'm already passing out at the thought of smelling this during 30+ degrees (celsius) weather. but perfect for fall & winter! overall well executed fragrance

This is VERY SWEET and smells very nutty vanilla-y and just overall very gourmand. It opens up with this strong nutty vanilla smell and i honestly feel like it dosent change during the drydown but it does give me a headache tho cause it really is that sweet, and i not the guy to get headaches that often, so that says alot. i can imagine a beautiful rich lady in a red farrari and sunglasses wearing this for a datenight 5/10

Nuts is a tooth-achingly sweet gourmand perfume. Primarily a boozy, nutty rum perfume dripping in honey. Despite being so saccharine it somehow manages not to smell too synthetic, but could be cloying or headache inducing for some. However, if you love honey, I urge you to try this!

for some reason it only goes by "nuts" in my country. Or it may just be an old/new batch. Anyway for the smell, again it does what it should, a little lactonic peanut butter smell that has a bit of caramel too, i assume. One of the most likeable scents of borntostandout.

The opening is delicious but I agree with another reviewer here, there's a lot of patchouli. So much after 15 mins I had to wash it off.

I usually love sweet, gourmand, nutty fragrances, but this one is kind of... stinky? There's a nutty top note, not recognisable as pistachio to me, but at least it's not the typical marzipan benzaldehyde bomb I have come to expect from pistachio notes. I also get the sesame, which is roasted and a little savoury. There's sweetness, caramel, and something off. It's foody, maybe even bready, sour, something like brown pumpernickel bread. I can't tell if it's the rum note, or the Oud, which is known for a certain animalic 'stank,' as I usually avoid Oud fragrances for this very reason. Either way, two hours in, the stinky note has faded, along with the nuts, and it's now a powdery caramel that's a little bit Nanna-coded with the old fashioned musks. I struggle to think of who would enjoy these two very different scent profiles.

These nuts (hold me back from making the most distasteful joke ever) are DEPRESSED and have an alcohol problem. It is the first fragrance from BTSO that seriously disappointed me. Looking at the notes, you’d expect a feast for the senses, but in the end what you get is a bag of musty rotten nut mix. Like it had sat in a too humid place and became oddly waterlogged. The rum is somewhat there in the very first few seconds if you are quick enough to press your nostrils against your arm. All that comes next doesn’t unfold any further and wears off pretty quick just the way it was after the rum had yeeteed. Musty watery pistachio, almond and sesame. No honey, no caramel, no notes off the base. Just rotten wet nuts is all you get.

Welp. This was a no, there’s so much patchouli and rum that I can barely detect the nuts. My skin tends to pull patchouli notes so strongly, same thing happened with Pistachio by DS and Durga it was straight masculine patchouli. Oh well, at least I just got a tester vial. Will try to pass off to my husband ETA- smells amazing and sweet on my husband, the patchouli is much less noticeable on him.

Reminds me of the girls I sat behind in language arts; evil eye necklaces from the kiosk at the mall, caramel body spray that never stood a chance against the blunt they split at lunch. The result was this oddly sweet-herbal haze, like patchouli and davana swirling with a vanilla note that had gone a little rancid.

My skin just does not like these new releases from BTSO. The rum overpowers all the other notes, creating a scent reminiscent of honey cough drops with menthol. I do not detect anything else other than a light musky scent. It is not bad, but it reminds me of the smells of being sick.

I can’t seem to get a consistent nut scent from this. At first I loved and raved about it, but now all I smell is industrial chemical. Sometimes it smells like fuel when you gas station or paint thinner. I don’t know what happened.

it looks like this has been renamed to just “nuts.” i enjoyed the opening, but after around 10 minutes the honey overpowers all the lovely nutty notes and becomes sickly sweet.

This is such a creamy sweet airy pistachio. It's not just sweet though, there is depth. I can't say it off the top of my head but it's so grounding for me. I can't see myself getting bored of this scent. It has an airy texture similar to what I get from my favorite of all time Diptyque's L'eau Papier. Must be the sesame. It is so beautifully done, im so happy that not a lot of ppl are on to this scent because its a phenomenal under the radar gem. Its not as popular as the screechy kayali gelato crap. . I'm obsessed. Try a sample before you buy but fwiw, if I blind bought this I'd be over the moon happy. I can't say the same for someone else though. 100/10 Edit:: one spray on my shoulder lasted hours and it enveloped me wonderfully. This is full AND backup bottle worthy.

This one, surprisingly, smells like nuts! And grains! And legumes! Quite the surprise, to tell you the truth. Once I sprayed it on, I thought to myself "How interesting!" and I've enjoyed sniffing it all morning. It's a dry, nutty scent, not fatty and oily like peanuts or cashews, but legit dry and crunchy like pistachios and almonds. I also get the sesame elements, and they all mix together and create a unified, cohesive scent. I'm not sure how perfumey it is, or if people. en masse, will want to smell like this, but it does work, oddly enough! There is also vanillic elements in this, as well as some mild tobacco bits, but by and large, this is one nutty scent!

It’s very unnecessary to write because those reviews are on point! You truly get, what fragrantica tells you. It opens with a very yummy marzipan (love me marzipan) with a slight slight sesame. And it slowly turns into this huge sweet rumy gourmand mess. It’s so strong and long lasting. I would totally buy this but it’s nothing special I didn’t smell before tbh. What I personally find funny tho- it’s called „nuts“ and doesn’t have one botanically true nut. Where’s the hazelnut?.... Walnut? Nevertheless i totally am telling you to try this out! -M206

These reviews are so interesting because it seems like this morphs into all sorts of things depending on your nose! To me, this should be called Soapy Nuts. I definitely get nuts in the opening. It's a sweet nutty dessert like toffee note, almost almond Rocca without the chocolate. I love it! Then it changes. It turns to this soapy, clean nutty/sesame which sounds terrible but actually is still quite nice (to me). I don't get the pachouli at all, but I guess if you're sensitive to pachouli you might focus on that. It's a curious scent. I like it!
