Warm Air

To me, this is a summer scent all the way. My first impression off the bat was a late-evening beach bonfire, and I don't usually get a sense of strong imagery with trying new perfumes. I went into Sephora looking for a sophisticated coconut perfume. Thought I wanted Replica Beach Walk but I hated it. This was displayed sitting in front of a back panel picturing a coconut so I tried it and felt like it was exactly what I was looking for. When I looked it up after purchasing, to my surprise there's not a coconut note mentioned at all in any capacity. I feel pretty delusional, I even looked back at the photo I took and there really is a coconut and the name card is in place. I'm standing by my first impression, it's late May and I've been wearing it every day since and I still am getting something coconut adjacent. On the hunt now for a fresh coconut body spray to layer and lighten this up a bit.

I had the pleasure of being part of a masterclass for this new collection with the founder Jun Lim and we all agreed this scent is very reminiscent of when you land in an airport in a different country. It’s light and clean in the opening and dries down very woody- slightly smoky even. It has a subtle sweetness about it and has that signature DNA. One of my absolute favourites from BTSO and definitely wearable.

Tested on skin over several hours. This fragrance is intriguing and unconventional. The opening has a unique “warm air” quality that I initially perceived as a kind of synthetic plastic-like note—but not in a bad way. It’s more like a refined, abstract version of that idea, and I actually found it interesting and wearable at first. A techno-cool scent that feels modern, slightly futuristic, and a little detached—not emotionally warm, but still very intentional. For the first few hours, it sits close to the skin and creates a subtle, atmospheric effect. It’s not sweet, not floral, and not traditionally “perfumey.” Instead, it gives off a quiet, controlled presence—what I would describe as subtle “do not disturb” energy. This is the kind of scent I could see working in very specific environments and moods: * 📚 in a library → focused, don’t approach * 🌧️ on a rainy day → introspective, inward * 🧠 around intellectual or creative spaces → abstract, non-mainstream * 🚶🏾♀️ in public but wanting to be left alone → neutral, not inviting It doesn’t try to attract—it creates space. However, as it develops, the woody and amber base becomes more prominent, and this is where it loses me. On my skin, those notes read as sharp and slightly harsh, which is consistent with how I tend to experience woody and amber-heavy bases. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to detect the caramel, and I feel that note could have been made more prominent to soften the drydown. The initial intrigue fades, and the scent becomes less comfortable over time. I do think it would perform better in cooler, damp air—on a rainy day where the atmosphere complements its abstract quality. I wouldn’t wear this in warm, humid weather. This isn’t a “I want compliments” fragrance. It’s more: “I want space, but I still want to feel put together.” To wear Warm Air is to make a statement—not loudly, but deliberately. It reads as genderless, existing outside of traditional masculine or feminine categories. Final Verdict: A very interesting and niche composition with a cool, abstract opening. I can appreciate what it’s doing, but the woody/amber base turns too sharp for me over time. I would consider a travel size for occasional, mood-based wear, but not a full bottle.

I was really looking forward to the release of the Eau Intimité collection because I love skin scents, but unfortunately the whole line was quite a big disappointment for me (just like the entire BTSO brand). This is the one fragrance that stands out among them. It’s a delicate ambery-cashmere scent with a slightly caramel-like nuance, not sweet at all, and completely unisex. It really does feel like you’re smelling warm, burnt sugary air. Its longevity is outstanding.

this is kind of addictive because its a caramel done in a very mature, sensual way. cashmere wood and ambergris make it woody, add depth, it smells sexy and seductive but in a classy, soft way. i imagine an older woman in a la perla set waiting for her younger lover at a sky scraper appartment in NY

This smells like a lighter version of Black Crème by BTSO without the leather.

Syrupy sweet Carmel with some woods in the opening. Not unpleasant. Drydown is similar to other BTSO. L'animal has a similar drydown. Mostly sweet cooked Carmel in the mid. Not sure how the name fits. Not for me, as I'm not a fan of gourmands nor sweet frags. The performance is better than I expected. Has some noticable sillage for a few hrs.

Most prominent notes imo is the rum, cashmere and caramel. But they only last about a hour then this turns into a skin scent and your nose needs to literally be to your skin to even notice. I saw the idea, but it’s more of a EDT than EDP. Good accords though.

This is another boring fragrance from BORNTOSTANDOUT. Like I've said before they are hit or miss. I'm probably 50/50 with their fragrances. They got some one's that are truly unique and enjoyable to wear but this is certainly not one of them.

This smells like if commodity milk curdled. In a depressed persons fridge after they offed themself. very melancholy. I personally don’t enjoy it but I think it smells like the backrooms which is a pretty impressive atmosphere to capture the exact scent of. It’s musky, almost mildew-y, sweet, yet notably offputting. If you want to make people feel uneasy in a way they can’t describe this is perfect for you. Not for me though because I prefer not to smell like drywall and trauma

smells beautiful on paper but on my skin it smells like straight up burnt tires ://///

Really reminded me of Iris Malikhan by Maison Crivelli. Buttery, slightly herbal amberwoods giving this iris-suede impression. Defintely some element of gourmand sweetness from the caramel but the herbal-balsamic davana note balances it a bit and provides some depth. Not really that interesting though and not what I expected from "warm air", but since they are referencing skin themes (again) I guess it makes sense as a warm leather accord. Ultimately a pass unless you are interested in the many, many sweet woody suede types things on the market already.

This one is special and stands out from the line. Reminds me of other BTSO fragrances but still different. It’s a rum and caramel base with a niche touch of Davana and that’s a note that really sets itself apart from other fragrances. Overall I like it. It gives a vibe a dim lit room in a castle and the room temprature is warm but there’s fall/winter candles around the room that smell like let’s say, Mahogany wood. Does not project but lasts long on skin. Overall, It surprised me! 7/10

Curious very curious! To me it smells like the dry down of the steam from dry cleaners with a dense davana caramel note. I wish I was getting more dry cleaners steam to get the full fluffy Warm Air experience. It’s there like a whisper and not the main character! But I’m intrigued enough to potentially get a travel size. I feel like it’s a scent that would grow on me.

This one smells amazing. It smells like the sweeter more feminine version of sugar addict . It’s very heavy on the tonka and sugar . Reminds me a lot of Ibiza by Audi and angels share without the apple . I get almond and vanilla in the dry down , but it’s mainly a tonka scent

Strong cherry note... smells like a permanent maker for the first 5-10 minutes. Then it’s rum and cherry. Nothing like warm air and it’s strong!!! Not intimate ;)

This smells like when I got electrocuted.(negative) I had to change and take a shower to get it off.
