Rich

It is a gassy leather kind of fragrance. To me it is a leather fragrances rather then a oud fragrance. Often oud fragrances will have some leather as a back up character to the oud, here is the the other way around the oud is mostly a supporting character to the leather. Opens up bright and fizzy with a wierd 'fermented' like note, reminiscent of a kombucha tea, yogurt, and a somewhat cheesy, animalic oud. It does not last long. 10 min or so. As it drys down the fermented notes dissipate, and the oud takes a step back, the jasmine, earthy patchouli led by a smooth but somewhat gasoliny leather take the center stage. To me, the dry down smells similar (at least in my memory, its been a while) to Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather Intense.

Okay, I have been on the hunt for a wearable animalic oud and this fits the brief exactly. This has a punch and almost raw opening but soon settles into one of the most engaging oud fragrances I own. The citrusy jasmine gets swallowed on opening by the oud but when it settles and transitions into the mid and base it is absolutely mesmerising. Will it appeal to Joe Sauvage.. not a chance. Will it be a mesmerising waft through the air where people wonder what the hell was that..yes. Is it a sniff my wrist and inhale a magic combo.. you bet. Make up your own mind but this fits in somewhere between I am trying to find my stank oud paradise and the basic oud that won't offend.

its a bit hard to get this perfume, which makes it Special. from where I come from, this one over here is a nice start for Fall. with my experience with OUD line of perfumes. Rich by Bortnikoff did it right with an excellent complexity. it bring all the sense of luxury, classy fragrance. it settles perfectly in both skin and fabric. I personally enjoy my one hour exploration phase feeling RICH. Over all 9/10

This is a nice one. The opening includes amber and pink pepper. It soon opens up to reveal jasmine and what comes across as creamy vanilla to me. A bit later, these recede and are joined by just a hint of leather, which prevents the fragrance from seeming overly floral or feminine. The overall impression is clean and fresh, but but powdery or soapy. It remains tethered to the ground by the slightly heavier notes beneath those fresh notes. It's a safe fragrance that I consider firmly unisex. It may not be all that unique or niche, but it is very pleasant and seems quite classy to me.

Much better on skin than on paper but I'm not too sure how I feel about this. To my nose Rich takes Ombré Leather/Tuscan Leather's petrol-ey leather and adds the same cheesey oud from Dubai, albeit in a more noticeable amount. The opening will definitely be very off putting for a lot of people but I find it interesting, I didn't think this petrol-ey leather could work well with a skanky oud facet like this. It does admittedly remind me of Hayat from Xerjoff's Kemi line in how the combination of the cheesey oud with other notes comes off almost baby wipes-esque, but I think it's well done nonetheless. The cheesey facet doesn't stick around for too long, it disappears completely in less than two hours and all I was left with from that point on was the leather. While I think this is nice I would never pick this over Tuscan Leather or neither Ombré Leather EDP nor Parfum. Ultimately I'm not too sure I like the "cheesey leather" opening, which is why I'm torn about this. I tested this alongside Cologne de Feu so I can't speak accurately about projection and sillage. Projection seemed strong at first but mellowed down to moderate very quickly. Sillage on the other hand is moderate but consistent. Cologne de Feu was more noticeable during the first hour or so but afterwards it overpowered CdF with ease and even now as I'm writing this I can get a very faint trail of this coming off my arm. Longevity is an easy 8+ hours.
