Nio

Two things awe me most when it comes to Xerjoff or rather around, the quality this brand has managed to uphold and the banality of people. I say this because it is absurd and ridiculous the usual comments when it comes to these type of fragances, fresh and clean ones. "It smells like a high-end cleaning product". Please, tell me how luxurious can a soap be or even better, how often are you smelling cleaning products in order for that to be your first reaction. Sure, a lot of daily-common cleaning and bodycare products contain such fragances in order to feel more fresher and cleaner but then again, how often are you smelling these products in order to distinguish one from another?... This may come across as snobish or simply pompous but really ask yourself, "is this all i can really smell?" (a cleaning product). And i ́m not talking about picking each and single note from a fragance but simply, "what else can i picture this from?". Just that. And this, allows me to speak of Nio, this fragance. Simply put, Nio is a blossoming orange tree in a bottle. That's it. Which may sound simple but to make it in such a natural, reflective and isomorphic way to the real deal, is more complex than first impressions can tell. If i were to be more specific, imagine you are cutting oranges but from the branches and stems of the tree, not just the fruit. Why?, because that same "greenness" and "stem-like" aroma is exactly what it smells to cut a real branch of an orange tree (with the flowers of course). It is bitter, yes, just like a real cut stem but that ́s the beauty of it. Perhaps even the point of perfumery, to capture such experiences in a bottle and having them persist in time, for whenever you want to be in a mediterranean field cutting oranges...without being there. Luckily for me, i do love neroli and white flowers. Especially when they come in such a natural, raw and might even say, "photorealistic" quality presentation just like Xerjoff makes it. Neroli is front and center, i might say it's actually a middle note, not a top one, as it persist the whole lifetime, finally vanishing and leaving a white-musk aroma. Light and pleasent smell overall, easy-to-wear and perfect for work, school, daily wear and even for more formal occasions. There is, however, a downside. The longevity. This fragance would benefit a lot from being more potent. So do consider overspraying for long routines.

Gosh I love this juice as a citrus lover. This is one of the most realistic, natural smelling citrus fragrance I have ever smelled along with AC's Orange Sanguine. Bergamot dominant, with lots of neroli and greenness. The spices blend really well with the bergamot/neroli greenness combo, but I don't think this is a spicy fragrance at all. It's all about the bergamot, neroli and the greenness to the end. Vibrant and sharp. Summer/Spring superstar. Casual but could also be worn during weddings/summer time dates etc. Packacing is top tier as a Xerjoff product. This fragrance makes me want to hop in my Mercedes Benz W126 during a summer vacation, drive to the beach, and just relax. However this fragrance has pretty moderate performance considering it is a parfum concenctration (31% oils). It only lasts about 5-7 hours on my skin. Projects really well for the first hour and half (3-5 feet), then gets a bit closer to the skin (1-3 feet). At 3-4 hour mark it still projects a little, but then it pretty much turns into a skin scent, and stays a a skin scent for two or three more hours or so. I wish it lasted like solid 7-9 hours on my skin but it sadly won't. Some people have better performance, and they get over 8 hours with it. My bottle is 2 years, and two months old. If you could find this on a sale for like 150-170 bucks then I think it will be worth it (if you love citrus, neroli, greenness type of thing). Summary; I love this fragrance, and the mood boost I get from smelling this. The moderate longevity/projection for a parfum concentration fragrance is still a bit annoying thing about this. Also the price tag could be quite lower considering the performance. Scent: 10/10 Longevity: 6.5/10 5-7 hours Projection/Sillage: 7/10 (great projection for the first 1.5-3 hours) Price: 3/10 (Retail price is too high considering the longevity/performance, but totally worth it if you can find it on a sale) Uniqueness: 9/10 Personal liking: 9/10 Edit after few months and uses; I find it more spicy now in the background, giving this some night time aspect, meaning that this could be used during evening/night time on warmer weather. Also the projection is better than I thought. Performance is pretty good for a citrus freshie. Absolutely fantastic fragrance.

Xerjoff Nio's opening is the most beautiful citrus opening you will ever come across. It sparkles, shines, dazzles, is bright, it's blindingly brilliant, like a flawless diamond - that describes the teXture of its opening. With bergamot that is so tangy, tart and tantalising that one gets that tingling sensation on the tongue that you feel when u taste lime juice. This ultra naturalistic accord is given eXtra bouyancy with the heft and creaminess of the Jasmine and Neroli. What you get is a citrus accord that is amplified beyond belief. It's projection is beyond strong, it is eXplosive! Where Nio is a miracle is in the tenacity of those top notes. On a subconscious level, we're trained by repetition of eXperience to sense the vibrancy of zesty top notes fade quickly ... Nio's top notes seem to defy all that is normal. I call Nio the supernatural citrus. I say this as a person who has always held disdain for citrus fragrances, describing them as basic and boring About 4 - 5 hours in the citrus notes finally begin to transition into the heart and Nio's true nature reveals itself as a Vetiver based fragrance complimented by spicy notes. These notes were always there as the woody base that the citrus composition rests its laurels on. Overall Xerjoff Nio is one of the all time great citrus based fragrances I've ever come across. This is a masterpiece. Truly one of the finest in its class. It manages to seem simple but it has profound compleXity and depth. It's my most complimented fragrance. Illiciting oohs and aaahs from perfect strangers at an alarming rate. Its performance is incredible for an aromatic citrus woody fragrance. Longevity - 9/10 *for a citrus Projection - 10/10 Scent - 10/10 Compliments - 10/10

أختصرها لك؟ أجمل عطر حمضي عشبي أخضر على الإطلاق في نظري.. عطر من امتع واجمل عطور الحمضيات والنيرولي، عندي مجموعة كبيرة من عطور الحمضيات والعطور الخضراء، لكن هذا بالتحديد ماله شبيه، اتذكر أول ما شميته من عينة لتجربة العطر، مو طبيعي كيف إني فعلاً ما قدرت أوقف امرر أنفي عليه، عطر جذاب جمع الكلاسيكية والحداثة، فاخر انيق اشوفه ملك عطور الحمضيات الخضراء.. العطر يبدأ في افتتاحيته برائحة حمضية خضراء جداً جداً، رائحة عصارة الليمون الأخضر، جداً قوية، ولكن بطريقة فاخرة جداً، مع رائحة النيرولي وكأنها رائحة قشر البرتقال، يهدأ العطر قليلاً ليكون زهري خشبي مع وجود الحمضيات من أول العطر لآخره.. هذا العطر فيه كمية من النقاء غير طبيعية، لما يقولون عطور النيش فيها نقاء مختلف عن عطور الديزاينر، هذا تتمثل هذه المقولة، تشعر أن العطر حمضي حقيقي جداً، الروائح قمة في النقاء.. العطر قد لا يعجب الكثيرين خصوصاً صغار السن، ولمن لا تستهويه عطور الحمضيات، قد يجد العطر حاد جداً، وقد لا يكون مناسب للانوف الغير متمرسة، كثير جربت العطر مع اشخاص حولي، قليل اثنوا عليه ثناء كبير.. العطر أداءه فوق المتوسط ثبات وفوحان، صيفي ربيعي بحت، لا يناسب لا الخريف ولا الشتاء.. صدقني إذا كنت من محبين الحمضيات والعطور الخضراء، صدقني هذا العطر راح يصدمك برائحة الجميلة جداً، انصح بالتجربة أولاً ومن ثم الشراء، السعر التقريبي المناسب لهذا العطر 800 ريال أو 200 دولار وأقل.. انصح بالتجربة؟ نعم وبقوة اذا كنت من عشاق الحمضيات.. انصح بالشراء؟ نعم..

NIO is beautiful I love it. It's up there amongst the best Xerjoff's. It's a beautiful Bergamot citrus creamy blast that has good longevity and projection due to it's high perfume concentration. The main problem for NIO is that it costs way too much for only 50ml of juice. The other problem is that when I wear it my wife thinks it smells like Zoflora Mandarin & Lime toilet disinfectant... which costs £2.49 for a 250ml bottle. ;) Zoflora disinfectant aside though, here's the thing: Dior's Eau Sauvage Cologne and John Varvartos Artisan Pure smell 90-95% identical to Nio. Although they don't last quite as long (Artisan Pure is a particularly poor performer) they are cheap enough that you can regularly respray. This is great news if you want to smell similar to NIO whilst also saving yourself a lot of money. Personally, If I feel like wearing a fragrance with this profile, I am happy wearing Eau Sauvage Cologne and using the money saved for other fragrance purchases. If money really gets tight in future I can always fall back to wearing Zoflora with the added benefit that it kills 99.9% of all bacteria and viruses too. ;) CONCLUSION | ★★★★ Ach, so what if the Mrs thinks it smells like disinfectant, I like wearing it! ;)
