Illusione Tonka Solaire

the name is misleading for sure but dont let it distract you from the fact that this is GOEGEOUS! so light, so airy, so classy, so effortlessly pretty just AAAAAAA! i know to a lot of people it might be basic but as a basic bitch this has a sprinkle of magic in it and i have no idea what it is because its blended so well. i will have to test it more on my skin and on the longevity before it goes to the want list! Edit:Last so long on my wrist even after washing it. To the want list 📝📝

Where do I even start from? I got this recently and waited to experience it fully before leaving a review. I put this on at about 9.00am and went to the bank at about 1pm . A staff had to had ask what I was wearing as that had been the topic of discussion since I got there. I am writing this review at 5.11pm and this is still projecting fairly well. I have gotten a total of 4 compliments in one day !!! This is a unique gem. I’m obsessed !!!!! Nothing short of 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I own and adore the OG illusione. There is really not much difference between this flanker and the OG to warrant having both. The main difference to my nose seems to be a more lighter citrusy opening whereas the OG is more woody and green. Tonka solaire seems lighter and airier. Both are gorgeous perfumes. I’m not sure why they’ve called it tonka solaire though when there’s no tonka?

I love this. Its delicate, its so edible. Its so luxurious, and soapy at first. There is really lovely citrus element that gives it a slightly tart and juiciness to it which is the blackberry. Its settles down to a soft, delicate version of the top notes but with a slightly oily element. Its balances fresh and soapy sweet really well. 8/10

As much as i like Bottega Veneta (own the original one that i literally adore- the Velvet one and Illusione for men), this new version is just... ok. I got a couple of samples that have been put to test in the last weeks. It's a clean, fresh, powedery fragrance. Smells like expensive finely milled luxury soap. I get some initial citrus, some powdery iris, jasmine (the fresh type), some green leaves (could be olive ) and a musky, warm drydown. Tonka? Not at all. It's a very nice perfume, very summery, light and very wearable. Makes you feel clean and put together. Sillage intimate... longevity max one hour. It will not make it to a full bottle, unfortunately.

This fragrance is the epitome of classy summer vibes. Its so delicate and elegant. Black currant / dark ripe berry sweetness with a hint of candy like orange blossom and a touch of lemon on top on a sweet creamy base. Yes, this smells like luxurious soap like one of the reviewers said below but it's lovely! If you like scents like Bal D'Afrique you will like this too. It's also a quarter of the price! Longevity and projection are on the moderate side but I did receive a compliment around 5 hours after I had applied.

I adore this perfume but the longevity is SO BAD. It becomes a skin scent really quickly and it doesn’t even really stick to my clothes! :-((

Lemon and lemon blossom, quite heady to start. Not getting tonka in any phase.

It doesn’t smell chip but doesn’t smell unique either, so it is hard to justify the purchase unless you need every day non offensive scent.

this opens with a rubbery fig/olive and bergamot. it's citrus and doll heads. a bit later i get some black currant and tonka which rounds it out a bit, but it smells so synthetic. dries down to black currant doll heads, which i know some people would like, but for me this is too overly synthetic and sweet. (also, this one doesn't list tonka but the original one does on fragrantica. and now after trying the other, i'm wondering if the notes are switched.)

Wow raving reviews below, so please feel free to ignore mine if you love this. To me this is a super basic smell. Slightly chemical white florals (nondescript) and some citrus but nothing realistic, juicy or interesting. Too chemical and basic for my tastes but please don't let my review put you off if you love this. It is slightly soapy and the fig leaf is lost. Not particularly green or woodsy. You can argue it's fairly wearable but the chemical aspect is making it smell cheap. And not even an illusion of tonka beans!

Clean and relaxing. Feminine but also natural like the stems of flowers are there, too. I agree that it gives resort hotel lobby. The sun soaked lobby that opens to the outside and a summer breeze coming through. Linen curtains lazy in the breeze. This 100% must be pumped through hotel lobbies or salon products because I've felt these scent vibes before. It is gentle and a scent for you (or intimate partner) to enjoy. You're not going to have someone chasing you down asking about your frag. Office safe and pleasant.

I have the original Illusione for Her and I LOVE it. This one seems redundant to me and I do not get more tonka in here than in the original version. Dina_France (perfume reviews on YouTube)

As tonka is one of my favourites I am disappointed to find there isn’t any. However, this is a lovely vibrant scent and olive and fig stand out to me. Similar to the original illusione.

I must have received a bad batch. To me theres not a trace of fig leaf. Its not tonka and there’s nothing solaire. Its very soapy to my noise, borderline cleaning product.

Very pleasant. Smells like a hotel lobby in the summertime. Not something I would usually wear but I do enjoy it. Nothing ground breaking in the slightest.
