Boucheron Eau Légère 2005

Anamandy: that's so strange. Mine doesn't appear to have a batch code so I can't date it ( I don't have the box ) but on the base it's says: "Boucheron Eau Legere 2005" which is exactly as it's named here. At first I thought: ok, it's the copyright for the design that you get sometimes so it came out in 2005 (or just after ) BUT it's never written like that. It's as though it's actually part of the name. So maybe this one IS "Eau Legere 2005" to distinguish it from another, earlier "Eau Legere. Just a thought ? Anyway, it's the same bottle as the ( current ) Boucheron but with a yellow stone and does exactly what it says in the tin. It's a "modernised", pared down, simplified version. Gone are three quarters of the notes ( the tuberose, the civet, targetes, asafoetida - anything "tricky" for noses of that period ). In some ways it's turned on its head. The bergamot and neroli, barely, noticeable in the original, is brought to the fore. It's a citrus/white floral with a bit of warmth from amber and sandalwood at the drydown ( it's best part ). Nothing more, nothing less. Yes, a bit suntan lotion ( certain ones ) and maybe at a pinch the lily resembles that of Anaïs Anaïs but it isn't that similar. I have a bit of an aversion to white florals ( too many, too much in the 80's ! ) but I'm a bit more tolerant these days (absence makes the heart grow fonder ?) but this is ok, pleasant even ( after the first 10 mins 😉 )

My sister just got this one but unfortunately it did not smell good on her, so she gave me to try it. Immediately I was transferred to a nice sandy beach, on a hot summer day, with a hint of sun protection creams in the air. The opening notes are those of citrus, with musk/vanilla present as wel,l but not overbearing. It settles down quite nicely and it's quite feminine citrusy-floral scent. It reminds me of both 5th Avenue and Anais Anais, but I find the later ones to be more floral. I will try it again, in the spring/summer time, and update a review.

Boucheron Eau Legere 2005 is a very grown up scent with lily being the most prominent note...at least on my skin. It's creamy but has very little sweetness to it - almost like a body lotion. It’s well-blended like many other Boucheron perfumes.

This is weird but I have an edt of this which, according to the batch number, said it was produced in 2003-12-16. According to the information on this fragrance above it was launched in 2005. Unless this was the first batch of the fragrance that was later launched in 2005, I don't know what to make of that. It came in a sealed box and looks exactly like the picture. All clear bottle with gold liquid and gold top. It also smells like the notes listed above. As to the fragrance, the citrus and lily are the most prominent notes. I smell the citrus throughout the life of the scent though it lightens up somewhat after initial spray. The amber is adding creaminess and the vanilla a softness. All the notes meld beautifully together. I'm not getting a beachy vibe, but it does have a summery feel. I think this will be good to wear during the brutal days of summer. The Lily, which naturally smells a little soapy, gives it a very clean feeling. I find that Boucheron's edts are just as good as their edps in strength and longevity. The same is true of this fragrance. I put this on in the morning and still get lovely wafts late into the afternoon. A really pretty scent and a joy to wear. So happy I have a bottle
