Clin d'Oeil Passionée

La Passionnée is my beloved shimmering carnation, but this time heavy and somehow rich from the spices, the white flowers and the masquerade powder. Carnation with a ring on each finger, an improbable hat, a haute couture silk dress that tugs at waist, ex-husbands, gold bars. It’s intended for a passionate lady, she’s loud, she’s proud, she’s invasive and capricious. And under all this, a bit cheap and so fragile. I can’t believe how much I like her.

Love at first sniff. Very old-school, in the best way possible. Long lasting. I absolutely love it.

When i was 18 years old back then in 2000 this perfume was new on the market and it was modern and sexy and little bit grown up for an 18 years old. It was too mature and sexy for me but i adored its smell. 20 years later i decided to buy it again. When i read reviews like it is retro, vintage, grandmas perfume i get sad and i think where these 20 years go, how they passed so fast that this perfume when was new in the market now it is vintage!!!! I get sad that time passes so fast. BUT! Anyway... Eventhough my nose now is different, i have smelled thousands and thousends perfumes and i now have a nose like a dog and cheap perfumes dont amuse me anymore i FOUND myself ADORING this one the same way as before. Actually i love it now better. Love love love it. I am sad that people say bad things for it, but it suits me very well and has very sexy aura around me. Well... That was all folks. Live, love and spray favourite perfumes! P. S. It is much better than lots of new modern designer releases which are expensive like hell, but smell like water with lemon and hint of rose P.S.2 ENORMOUS lasting power and sillage

Un très joli parfum à tout petit prix, je le trouve plus floral qu' oriental, sur ma peau il a une note cosmétique, comme une crème luxueuse. Amatrices d'oeillet, testez-le ! C'est une fragrance ensoleillée, joyeuse et enivrante, plus adaptée aux femmes qu'aux jeunes filles, contrairement aux autres senteurs de la gamme clin d'œil. Il tient bien toute la journée et n'a rien à envier à des parfums dix fois plus chers. Ne vous fiez pas à la présentation un peu cheap, il vaut beaucoup mieux qu'elle. Beaucoup lui trouvent une ressemblance avec Ysatis.

sorry I don't like it, too flowery for me. I was expecting something young but it reminds me old women fragrances, maybe the carnation note is too strong.

Cheap, completely out of fashion. I can't smell vanilla, it's floral but I can't detect the notes. Not my kind of perfumes at all.

Don't buy this in the hope of scoring a Ysatis dupe. CdO is nothing like the big Y. Instead imagine a perfume that combines the best parts of vintage Vanderbilt and vintage Old Spice: the florals from the former and the spiciness of the latter. A dash of vanilla provides the finishing touch, making one wonder why so many perfumes need dozens of notes when CdO makes great use of just a few. CdO has a charming retro vibe, and while it's not ubiquitous it can be found for little money. Although it's listed as a womens scent, the dry down is unisex. This perfume needs to be applied lavishly, sillage is poor and lasting power is only slightly better. CdO is easy to wear and unlikely to offend anyone. Floral lovers, esp. the ones who lust after rose and carnation notes (like me) will enjoy this fun fragrance.

I found this gem, on a forgotten shelf in a drugstore. It actually had dust on it. It was soo cheap, around 5 euros, so I said I'd give it a try. So happy I did! At first, the carnation note felt too dusty, not so natural, but after some minutes, a beautiful bouquet of jasmine, rose and tuberose start showing, with a very tiny amount of vanilla. Not at all linear, it actually turns into a deep rose and leather. Call me crazy, but this is much better than a lot of designer fragrances in my collection. It lasts for days...I simply adore it! Nothing like Avon's TTA Absolute, which is also one of my loves, but is much more sweeter and bubblegummy.

Reminds me of a Barbie doll that I had in the 80s or 90s. The actual doll was perfumed and I seem to remember that she was styled in a sophisticated style. Mostly powdery. Also if you imagine a pink bubblegum scented shower gel with no sweetness at all. On a backdrop of a Givenchy Ysatis style sexiness. Not at all modern, but I’m not impressed with modern fragrances anyway. It is youthful in an old skool way - like Bruno Mars’s track, Finesse with Cardi B. Nice sillage and I’m quite happy to smell like a childhood Barbie doll.

A good copy of ysatis, more powdery, warmer, soapier and more opaque. Amazing how similar they are. Since Ysatis is one of the nicest perfumes ever made, this one is also nice. Longevity and projection are quite good for so cheap a perfume.

Worth it if you can find it. Was lucky to get a mini of it and it very similar to Ysatis at a fraction of the price. Refreshing and sharp with a long lasting powdery sexy dry down. win win all the way.
