Masculin 2 Black Instant

Bourjois is a very well known and old cosmetic brand but their perfumes are hard to find. I don't even know if Bourjois still makes perfumes anylonger, although it's the king of lipsticks. Noses like Francois Demachy, Jacques Polge, Ernest Beaux and Henri Robert, all developped scents for Bourjois. A long time ago I remember to have bought my first Vetiver fragrance and it was no other than the very very good earthy Bourjois Masculin 2 Vétyver. Oh, how I wish to have a flask of it now! Masculin 2 Black Instant is a woody green fougére, in fact a very pleasant one. It's a very good example of the french perfume crafting skills. It's quite an aromatic fragrance and a feminine head turner.... no, not in a sexy way. It captures the ladies attention with a "what plants smell so great around here" type of face. The vetiver note is truly agreable, just a bit dry and green and a tiny bit smoky, standing out in the very simple and linear accords of woods, green and bergamot notes. If you are looking for a dark or gourmand sweet perfume due to the word "dark" in the fragrance name, just look elsewhere. Longevity is acceptable, but sillage and projection are below average. If you find one of the few remaining inexpensive flasks in a store, just blind buy it!

Bourjois Masculin 2 Black Instant was one of the best hidden gems if you enjoyed older fragrances. It is a fresch green, mildly woody, scent that really punch above its weight. It must be hard to dislike the smell of this juice even if you find it a bit old-school. Some might find it a bit syntetic when first spray it on but it is not sysntetic in a bad way, it is a very enjoyable scent. You will stand out from the crowd when you use this. The fragrance in my collection that is closets to this is Bowling Green by Geoffrey Beene. Both are unofrtunately discontinued now and I already really miss them both. I love this scent profile a lot.

You are definitely getting your money's worth when it comes to Bourjois' classic french school masculine frags. Purely aromatic fougere in style, this has just a lil bit of that sweetness that makes the women's heads spin. A few sprays around your neck and you're good to go. Lavender, a fascinating lozenge accord (!), top note of brisk citrus upon a woody smooth base that has beguiling musk. Pure class with modern appeal, Bourjois' lost art of manly perfumery is something mesmerizing. Looking forward to more of these excellent accomplishments with the best noses around, including Dior's house perfumer Francois Demachy.

A throw-back into the ‘70es French classics, and pretty similar to the masculin acier, but a bit more meditative due to the delayed development of the overall structure (leaning more towards mid-base notes). Recommend for lovers of vintage perfumery, not to miss for the bargain price, performance and versatility. It required bravado to release this in 2010. Kudos to Bourjois!

Very good indeed , strong and reasonably long-lasting , still present the morning after . My daughter said it was just OK , too well - manered , clean and even soapy to be interesting ... imagine that ... It ́s true , very clean sensation , very green , but that is a good thing most of the times .

Masculine Black is a very - very nice fragrance for men!! Classic 80's smell but still safe. Very similar to it's brother Masculine Acier (another absolutely fantastic). The price... £10 - £15 !!! * If they advertise these two for £50 - £100 the people will kill to buy them.!

Bought it blindly with Masculin 2 Gold Fever for ab. 5.5 euros each. Lemony, woody and spicy, in this order. Very good longevity (more than 8 hours on skin), but moderate sillage. Skin scent after ab. 3-4 hours.

It smells like the brother of original Old spice. Didn't expect the opening to be that strong, it gave me nausea. Now I apply half off what I'd normally apply. It reminded my wife of Old Spice that her father used to wear. This fragrance is not to impress anyone, it indeed smells dated, green and soapy. But still like it though.

I don't get vetiver in the mid or dry down. Sweet but not syrupy amber holding the citrus and green. Layers well with today's Old Spice aftershave. 100% successful and comforting and easy going barbershop.

Very good for its price. The design is awful - it is almost shameful to show the bottle, but the smell is very pleasant - retro, stylish, mature and long lasting. Recommended for colder evenings.

Picked this up for about £6, insane value. The scent itself is very classic, slightly mossy and grassy with a bit of citrus, very reminiscent of things like 1881 and the softer fougeres of the 80s and early 90s. Perfomance is fine and more than acceptable for the price.

A reasonably good scent thats pretty woody and old styled. Good for casual wears. Leans on the masculine side.

Nice soapy masculine woody green fresh, a bit oldish but enjoyable, synthetic done well, for the price you can’t go wrong as casual scent to start your day. Moderate performance imo, imagine if recreated as a niche, could be one of the best casual simple mature gentleman or a signature scent.

Very strong, very masculine fragrance. Love it. Make sure you get this bottle design and not the one called premium I have both as they were amazing price but the premium sucks in sillage compared to the beast above

This is very similar to Versace L Homme.I would say 99% similarity.Woody,peppery
