Masculin Acier

I love this! Beautiful combination of oakmoss+lavender barbershop cleanliness, with honey+sandalwood warmth. So good. Picked it up for €7 in Leclerc. I won't feel quite so bad when my Beau de Jour runs out now. Goes quickly to a rich skin scent, but sticks around for a long time. Update: I had the dry down of Chanel Pour Monsieur EdP on my hand today and it smelled familiar - it's very similar to this, although Acier lacks the lemony top section of the Chanel, and goes straight to the deep stuff.

This exists on a continuum with Stetson at one end and Habit Rouge on the other. Givenchy Gentlemen, Giorgio of Beverley Hills, Hugo Boss Number One and Pierre Cardin Pour Homme in the middle. It's less skanky than Stetson, less sweet than Habit Rouge and Pierre Cardin. To me, it seems like a more refined and more barbershop version of Giorgio of Beverly Hills. Exceptional value for an old school dude or a chick like me obsessed with honey and oakmoss.

You can always count on Bourjois to fragrant you well if you don't have (or want to give) the money for a Guerlain. Of course you should not expect much, but then you don't expect much from your fragrance anyway. The great thing about Bourjois fragrances is that they are actually very nice. And i would take Acier or Equateur over Guerlain's Homme Ideal any day. But that's about it :) Quality-wise, art-wise, sensational-wise Bourjois fragrances are nothing more than nice aromas with low profile. Sometimes this is enough, in this case - a sweet lavender. ***(**)

When Bourjois was owned by the Chanel group, the bottle design of the "Masculin" line was awful. Since 2015 and the takeover by Coty, the new design is very Chanel, fun fact. By the way, excellent old-school french barbershop scent, full of honey & oakmoss goodness.

This is a classic masculin fougere fragrance. Typical green, mossy aromatic scent (like shaving cream) with a honey twist in the dry down. Longetivity and smell are pretty good for the price. I also love the new style bottles.

This is a softer, sweeter and more linear version of Caron's masterpiece, le 3e Homme.

Personnellement, je déteste ! Je ne sais pas si c'est la combinaison miel/lavande/mousse de chêne qui fait cet effet, mais ce parfum est entêtant, me donne la migraine comme jamais ! De plus pas besoin d'en mettre beaucoup car il empeste tout l'espace. Alors oui, il est pas cher du tout mais préférez mettre un peu plus d'euros dans une marque de qualité, ca vaut mieux. Ce jus ressemble énormément à Black Instant 2, à fuir également...

I bought Acier and Equateur at the same time online for a ridiculous price. Both are old school men's fragrances, straight out of the 80s. The new bottles look somewhat different. Let me say this, best bang for the money if you like 80s style smells. I am utterly amazed about the effect both have on me. They are amazing, sexy, interesting, and most def men's aromas. Zero unisex here. They both remind me of the good old days of perfumery, French style. As far as the overall effect, for me they are kind of barber shop, spicy, lavender, citrus. Equateur is somewhat similar to Balmain Monsieur, and I like it better than Acier because of the extra citrus. For the crazy price (amazon.fr) you'll get two gem time machines, that will give you a pretty good idea what real men's fragrances used to smell like. Bonjour.

This is a barbershop type of fragrance. Sharp and kind of overbearing with an aftershave freshness. I don't get the honey or the sandalwood, oak moss and synthetic lavender sum this up. Big sillage, and great longevity... too bad the scent itself is so mundane. On the plus... very affordable. Yaaaaawn...

My father's fragrance. Fresh barbershop opening and honey drydown-it really smells masculine. Classic men's smell,not so dated like some other old fragrances. Although Bourjois is not so popular brand,their fragrances are really good and for that price it's even better.

my personal impresion about this fragrance: this sharp, honey sweet and warm "Masculin Acier" evokes a lot of memories about Paris street atmosphere in evening time...

I would describe this fragrance as heavy, masculine. I found it in Paris and now enjoy it.
