Crimson Cloud

I got this as one of six 4ml sample sizes and it is by far my favourite of the bunch (though I have not yet worn one of them). That's probably because it's the most like other fruity-floral scents on the market - it's familiar, yet still a bit different. On first spray, I detect violet very clearly, and I like that a lot. I never smell the rose and am not sure what heliotrope smells like. I can detect a clearly fruity 'overtone' after about a half hour - in which the raspberry is stronger than the citrus notes. After about 90 minutes the scent needs topping up and it's at that point that I can smell the amber. On the whole this is a nice fragrance. It will probably last longer on many other people; I often need to re-apply perfumes after just a couple of hours, even the most expensive. This compares quite well.

This is a nice one for cool weather, the powdery softness of the violet and heliotrope mix with a friendly lightness of raspberry verbena. It's an optimistic but not energetic scent, feminine and gentle natured.

Today I'm wearing Crimson Cloud and funnily enough it smells like I'm wearing lipliner-pencil shavings. Like makeup-y pencil shavings. When I come closer to the scent on my arm I can detect the floral notes again, but as occasional whiff from a distance it smells like lipliner pencil shavings. I'm actually quite into it. What a lovely surprise. I don't mind it at all. It makes this perfume way more interesting to me than I initially thought. I thought it's just a light generic floral, but from a small distance it transforms into an interesting fresh scent, which smells like perfume-y pencil shavings. I'm not sure if that was ever indented, but I love it so much more now.

I got the roller of this for £1. I blind bought it and I'm very happy with it. It's a safe blind buy if you like office friendly, light, fruity florals. It reminds me a bit on some of the lighter Avon perfumes. It's very feminine, it can be worn by a younger audience as well. It's light, sweet, but not overly so. Actually quite well blended. There is nothing special about this scent, but I find this a good thing. It's for days when you want to smell nice without intruding others.
