Daisy Eau So Fresh

"Light" Green-Raspberry, Violet & Shampoo... This 2011 Floral-Fruity scent was likely composed by Alberto Morillas who did many scents for Marc Jacobs. Anyone could wear this, but the vibe here is light, fresh, fluffy, young & flirty. I could imagine the set of a chick flick smelling like this, for example Mean Girls 2 (2011), Bridesmaids (2011) or Reese Witherspoon wearing this in any of the Legally Blonde films. Opens with a burst of raspberry accented by fruity, sweet, green, fresh & citrus tones. Already in the background the Marc Jacobs DNA with a faint shampoo vibe is swelling through, and the overall effect is light green-raspberries & shampoo. As it transitions to the heart, it gets smoother, sweeter and more floral with violet, litchi & apple-blossom supported by rose & jasmine. Jasmine here is more forward than the notes would suggest, bringing some faint musky-creamy, sour & faint animalic tones. Although this doesn't get overly sweet, the apple-blossom here brings a sweetness, and there's a passing vibe similar to See by Chloe, although these are different and See By Chloe gets sweeter overall. Alongside the background shampoo vibe continues for the duration. In the base, I also get something vaguely near oakmoss (not listed) blended with the musk & rose along with plum & cedar which keep the effect going for an average spring-summer wearing experience. This isn't a dupe of anything but it has the Marc Jacobs DNA, and it's an easy reach for that 'just shampooed hair' vibe. Enjoy! Update 07/23/24: Sprayed this on the back of my hand this morning, and immediately could detect the green & raspberry notes. This has gotten a lot stronger in projection, but still a moderate longevity; best for spring-summer daytime but could be worn year round. Woody-musk notes are coming more forward now in the base which surprised me, and it's overall more fruity and less "shampoo-vibe" than I remember (although there is still a shampoo-vibe there in the background). Very refreshing in hot weather.

Daisy is a woman in her 20's who helps her older mother by tending to the garden, but she's still young enough to pop a wild strawberry or two in her mouth during the care of green leaves. She smells powdery and sweet from baking cake with the rest of the family, but it's so subtle you can hardly smell it over the watery undertones and clean scent of her damp and newly washed hair. Daisy prefers the spring, as the summer is a bit to hot for her taste, but she still like it as long as she keeps in the shade and can hide her pink flush with the help from her trusted powder puff. Eu so fresh is Daisy's immature twelve year old sister who steals raspberry and fruit from her neighbors garden. Her hands are sticky from all the plums she has eaten and her hair is filled with petals from apple blossoms as she climbs every tree she can find. Her favorite season is off course the summer, and she secretly thinks her older sister Daisy needs to relax more and stop worrying about staining her dress. Eu so fresh always manage to spill lemonade all over her clothes, but she's to carefree and young to care about her fancy shmancy outfits. But off course, seeing as she shares her sisters DNA, Eu so fresh is still a gentle and kind soul, who never provokes anyone on purpose. And, even if she thinks she has better things to do, she often helps out in the garden too... as long as she can stay close to the delicious smelling roses.

I am going to start by saying I own over 50 perfumes, and never have came across one that smells the same as this. I have from sweet perfumes to fresh to inciense , or woody. Also, this is my very first Marc jacobs, I have never been a fan of their scents. My daughter has Daisy Love and they are not similar in any way as DL is extremely sweet, sugar! This is a fresh breeze of violet with a hint of pear, I can smell the jasmine, green notes and a bit of musk. To me the sandalwood is not over powering. Also, this is listed as sweet, but is not sugary sweet is more of a soft female sweet of that makes sense. I have smelled sweet perfumes and I cannot stand them(vanilla makes me gag) so definitely this is not gourmand. I say this will project even better during warmer climate, it is currently December , Nebraska weather is below 30 degrees. And so far it smells good and projecting more than 12 hours in clothes. I can only imagínate how wonderful this will be during the summer, am excited to find out. Anyways overall it is a beautiful light fresh everyday scent. If you’re looking for something like this is perfect. If your looking for something that is overpowering and sexy, going out on a date type of scent, keep looking because this is more for daytime imo

I don't understand how people have said this fragrance is unremarkable/not unique - it's incredible; I've never come across another like it (outside of the Daisy range). The powdery violet and rose are dreamy. This isn't a sexy perfume, it's pure femininity. It's like if Laura Ashley, or the city of Bath was a perfume - one envisions this perfume on the dresser of Madame du Pompador. It would be held in a little glass bottle with a squeezy spritzer, creating a puff of powder. Also on her dresser, a beautiful bouquet of wildflowers from the meadow, the sugar water from the vase mixing with the powder. Her floral bedsheets matching the wildflower bouquet. That's Daisy Eau So Fresh. Bouquets and powder. If only it were stronger and more projecting :( I would cover myself, my bedroom and house in this fragrance. The hunt begins for a stronger powdery floral violet. The best perfume combinations thus far: Juicy fruits + pink-white florals (Daisy Kiss, Pink Bouquet) Powder + florals + sweet fruits (Daisy Eau So Fresh) Liquorice + coffee (Black Opium) Honeysuckle + vanilla (Marc Jacobs Honey)

Everybodys nose is different, and everybodys skin chemistry is different- so definitely always test before you buy. I can smell the fruitiness, but mostly the floral, and the green of course, but it is not overpowering. If you prefer those powerful, sophisticated musky, scents, or hate green, this wont be your favorite. I often go nose blind to light fragrances like most people, but others assure me they do still smell this perfume when I dont. It lasts a good 5-6 hours on me, and it just makes me feel fresh, especially after a shower on a spring/summer day. It's pleasant! I bought a roll-on at sephora, then got a full bottle for $80 from somebody who decided they hated it after making a blind purchase. Definitely look for deals on these designer scents (from verified sources), they arent worth breaking bank accounts.
