Blue

Its not a clone of Jaguar Pace, but comes to the same vibe without the pepper that Pace has. Clean, out the shower type of smell. Don’t understand why people dislike it. It seems very safe to me.

This isn’t a fragrance I would purchase myself. I’m not a huge grapefruit fan, and I am definitely not a fan of anise. But, I was given a mostly-filled bottle, and figured I’d power through to see if I could learn to like this one a bit. I figured it would be overpriced given it’s Brooks Brothers, but looking at the ads for this on this page and their prices really surprised me. It must not be currently made anymore or something. I couldn’t imagine paying more than 50$ for a bottle of this. The opening of Blue is a simple and pleasant opening of cardamom and grapefruit. I’m fairly sensitive to the smell of anise, so it’s also obvious that this will become more dominant over time and begins to creep up pretty fast. Lavender appears soon after and offers just a slight tinge of sweetness to the mix along with the off-puttingness of the anise, which really remains the heart of the fragrance. It’s aromatic, simple, and can be worn in virtually any social setting or scenario. It can be worn liberally, and won’t project far beyond the body. The conclusion of Blue is an expected cedar and musk blend that I can smell much easier on a paper strip than my own skin.
