Brooksfield Men

I regret this is no longer being produced - or is so expensive now. I had a small bottle in the early 1990s and loved it. When I went back to purchase more, they only had samples. I bought them out and carried one of them with me for years as a "travel" fragrance. The bergamot, sandalwood, and oakmoss carried the day for me. I could also have sworn there was ginger in the mix. A very clean, all-business fragrance. Long lasting and bold without clearing the room. Fresh. In later years I found out one of my daughters used to "convert" a bottle now and then to her own use. I hadn't thought of it as a unisex fragrance, but she liked it. I considered it a compliment that she liked enough to "borrow" it - so I never chided her for taking it.

This baby is great, actually, what I get out of it is something that is not listed in the note list above.............juniper berries! This reminds me of Bombay Sapphire's Infusion except with a little more "green" or a bit darker. I just got it today and I've only been wearing for a couple of hours but like it enough to write this review. If you can find it get it, it may be for more formal events and not exactly for teens.

I’ve only written a handful of reviews even though I’ve sampled hundreds of fragrances. I apologize for not sharing my experiences more freely and will share more going forward. But, I have to share that Brooksfield Men is an incredible value fragrance. The way that the green herbs, tarragon in particular, are blended with the warm sweet notes, apple and cardamom,, creates a sexy bubble that makes me happy. I’m searching for other fragrances that achieve this feeling. For the price, this fragrance is such a great find. I’m not a gate keeper.

It's somewhere between Gres Cabaret Homme 2004 (similarly pineapple, juniper berries, basil, lavender) and Burberry Men 1995 (lavender, thyme). I can see how the tart apple-plum can feel like juniper berries as mentioned below. I bought a bunch of those mini EDT 4.5ml in their original small brown boxes as well as a 100ml bottle. The big bottle is a nice shape and just the right size to handle; it was later taken over by a friend who likes mature scents, I decanted a quarter bottle of the juice to wear for myself prior to the handover.

First of all it is very old school in a Gillett shaving foam way. 2nd thought: spicy apple. Not for teens!
