Okay, I guess I’m going to be the first to review this fragrance. First thing... you must like akigalawood! I was not familiar with this aroma chemical when I blind bought this fragrance. It is definitely present, right out the gates, and it is STRONG! Lasts for days on fabric. At first I thought it smelled a lot like palo santo, but this is not true. It is indeed woody but it is the sour note that often comes with palo santo, in my experience, that makes me think this. It’s like a strong bergamot with a spicey woody smell for a lack of better words. There is also the coconut which is very present and comes across as oily, to the point where I think the bottle actually feels slick when I grab it lol (trick of the mind)!! But what a combo! Although it took me about two weeks to accept and understand the akigalawood note, I now quite like this perfume. The jasmine is present on initial spray and it smells beautiful with the akigalawood and fatty coconut. Perfect for spring, summer, and fall evenings My husband caught the silage tonight and loved it. It’s not an easy perfume to love but give it time, it certainly grew on me. It’s perfectly unisex in my opinion: starts more feminine with the jasmine present but becomes more masculine as it fades.The only thing I wish is that the beautiful opening with the strong jasmine lasted, as this takes away from the ongoing sour note that runs through the perfume.

Its excellent elegant notes that last for a while not offensive to those with a more sensitive nose very versatile

Patchouli sunscreen. Parts of Gyan slammed together with Angel Fatansm. The Jasmine and Coconut are the most prominent of the notes for a while. I'm talking at least 2 hrs. The Jasmine isn't super indolic. The base is a bit sweet but not to headache inducing proportions.

When I bought a perfume was given Brunello Cucinelli Ricordo as a gift, I couldn't resist spraying it on my skin right away. I was expecting a simple, elegant, woody-citrusy scent, similar to Pour Homme and Pour Femme, but imagine my surprise when a drop from the smoky, metallic-blue bottle began to seethe and rumble on my delicate (😂) skin, like a caustic brown-green mixture in chemistry class, with slightly indolic white flowers (I thought it was definitely tuberose, but it turned out to be jasmine), the woody, fresh bitterness of vetiver, peppery coriander, and marsh plants. At first, I thought, wow, I've stumbled upon the strangest fragrance from the new Incanti Poetici collection. But for 3 days now I have been wanting to wear this strict and mysterious perfume -sometimes fresh, sometimes caustic, like green Brilliant green (dye), sometimes attractively woody. Ricordo by Brunello Cucinelli is created by Jordi Fernandez who is one of my favourite perfumers, so I had high hopes. This woody spicy fragrance blends patchouli, cedarwood, black pepper and warm woods. The opening and heart aren't for me, though. They're simply too earthy, likely due to the patchouli, which is ironic because I usually like patchouli. Thankfully, after around five hours, it settles into a smooth woody dry down that I really enjoy. Longevity is excellent with average sillage. I just wish I liked the journey as much as the destination. For that reason I can't give it anything more than a 6/10. Wish I liked it more.
