Musc – Eau de Parfum

first impressions: it may not be listed in the notes but its the patchouli that i get the most out of this especially in the opening. it has the same crystallized, grainy, gritty, raspy, cool, dark earthy green patchouli in the opening as in Angel by Mugler for example. but what bothers me about this is it has a synthetic, chemically finish. like a nail polish or some kind of paint. there is a very faint suggestion of sweetness, but sweet in a way how nail polish is ever so slightly plasticy, chemically sweet. it could be the synthetic musk compound that they used in this. although the farther away my skin is on my nose, the more i get that cool, crisp, clean patchouli musk that it's suppose to be. as it's drying down on my skin, it's getting woodier. kind of like a varnished wood. like smelling a brand new wooden closet or side table where you smell both the polished wood and the varnish...perhaps cedary notewise, but still the overall texture is gritty and cool because of that patchouli on the top. it's also cool in a lightly mentholated way because of the patchouli as well. as its drying down, the musk note is revealing itself more. it's that synthetic musk note that i smell in a couple of contemporary musky fragrances like Carnicure by Marlou and the Original Musk eau de toilette by Kiehl's. its that sort of fuzzy, kinda warm, almost peppery but artificial musk that is quite plasticy but still pretty soft. like a robotic sci-fi fluffy cat. this sample vial of the eau de parfum that i brought from Luckyscent circa 2021 sort of fits that category of minimalist anti-perfume perfume trend, which features a solo or duet or small ensemble of aromachemicals that makes you smelling like a tolerably pleasant chemical. this really makes me curious of the vintage batches of this fragrance tbh. its very tenacious on my skin. it stuck itself on a spot on my arm for hours. i need to wear this for a proper testing to get its overall sillage and how it would react with sweat, body heat and environment.

finally gave it a full wearing despite the inconvenient luckyscent dabber applicator. it is a plasticy, waxy musk with the grittiness and raspiness from the patchouli that feels a bit more chewy than green or mentholated. but in its sillage, it warms up into a pretty soft, fine, sparkling, powdery, peppery, vaguely floral, clean musk that almost reminds me of an old floral scented dusting powder, which gives me a comforting, nostalgic feel. i don't get much of that earthy mushroomy note that a lot of people mention. although to be fair, i dont have much experience with mushrooms aside from the ones in ready-made food, since i live in a semi-rural, semi-urban, tropical, humid climate with not much vast cool forestry where i would find some fungal growth anywhere. but i'd say i fortunately get more of the musk than the patchouli. as it further locks in to my skin i can get the rose, cloves and patchouli combination that reminds me a little bit of coco by chanel. a bit soapy, a bit coca cola like, almost suggesting a chypre-like tone in the style of chypre 21 or even soir de lune, but not as strong and full-on as any of those of course. the further my nose is away from my skin, catching a whiff of it, the musk softens and blends those rose-chypre potential notes into a soft, powdery musk mush that feels clean and cozy. this stage gets warmer on my skin and breaks down that waxy-plasticy, peppery musk that hits me in the opening. both musk and patchouli, which are the 2 main notes in this scent, are tenacious. so it's almost a contest of which one will stand the last on my skin. by the next day i would still suddenly catch a whiff of that soft and smooth musk-cleansed patchouli that is really warm, cozy and satisfying. due to the intimate and simplistic nature of this musk, and the tenacity of it, it almost becomes a part of you. like a part of what you naturally smell like, once a day has passed after i put this on me.

This scent has sort of been an obsession lately , because it's a scent rather than a perfume , which is nice for a change. Now first I have to say it is very faint, very natural and maybe undetectable by others , but it's a great scent to wear for your own pleasure. A skin scent ! It is earthy wet moist musk , like you came in from a walk in the woods and layed in your clean bedsheets ,,,, with the window open. Smells slightly slept in but still fresh. It's sexy ! Nothing sour like some other muskc have which I am not a fan of. I like my musk fresh and creamy and natural. This isn't the creamy kind but it's earthy and fresh and moist. I do not smell any of the individual notes listed. It is very faint to me all in all, it's the perfect scent to wear when you don't want perfume. It's perfectly unisex as it suggests. This is a scent , not a perfume. I have the gold and the silver spray. Gold one is the same as the oil but maybe not as concentrated. I need a good 4 to 6 sprayes to get enough pleasure out of it ! It's expensive and available at Luckyscent only. I would like to explore this house a little more. High quality !

erase and rewind , ok i am ashamed to say this was a blind buy for me , i was super excited because i love musk, my adored narciso edt has been my most complimented scent ever, so i am always in search of the next wow me musk , honestly my first impression was 1) the bottle was really cute and 2) i did got the famous mushroom smells most people talk about, after that quite honeslty i did not smell anything i can put my finger on , it is pleasant but it is quite a strange perfume it gets better with time, after 3 or more hours the magic happens so at first i was regreting my purchase so much . after a while the perfume combines with your own chemestry and then boom it is so amazing i really have no words to describe it , it smells like a bulldog puppy , it smells like clean fur , like delicious fur coat , anyways today i realized of how powerful this scent is because for the first time since my beloved narciso someone came close and had to ask me what was i wearing , it is that kind of fume , some will not notice but the ones that do will be gravitating to you like a magnet !

Ok, I am not going to lie: I put this on and I was worried about the looks/comments I would get. I mean, we live in a world where the masses think Victoria Secret Body mist is the end all to be all. This Musc would not please the masses... It is dank. It is almost obscene. It is definitely dirty. And I love it. I do not smell powder at all (thank goodness) nor do I smell rose (another thank goodness). The animalistic musk and sandlewood are the main act. But I, like other reviewers, smell "something" else. It is so hard to define. My brain is desperately searching for that something associated with a memory but I am at a loss. But even with all the "dirt" there is a cleanliness about this scent which is a huge part of its appeal. This scent does bad things to me. It will be hard for me to concentrate today I feel so animalistic. I wholeheartedly disagree with the notes listed but I believe in this complex concoction: so very unique.

For me the genius of Musc lies not only in the mushroomy musk-sandalwood backbone but also the interplay of the cool violet and spicy notes. The subtle harmony brings to mind vintage scents over modern niche. I have a particular reverence for vintage drug store scents that cast a comfortable and unassuming aura through musks, woods, soft florals, aldehydes, and/or oakmoss, without smelling too much “like” any of those things. I’m thinking of fragrances such as Prince Matchabelli Pophecy & Golden Autumn, Revlon Jontue, or Avon Regence. Though Musc is not a smell-alike to any of these (a fact for which some modern noses are probably thankful) it does cast the same sense of approachable luxury. Of course, achieving this sense of ease will cost you magnitudes more through Acampora than vintage cheapies will on eBay, but when the scent is this lush, this vintage-lover is tempted.

Musc opens with the ether of humus, the decomposition of leaves on the forest floor, layers of humid oak leaves on a damp autumn day, mushrooms pushing through the soil with glistening caps. I picture red efts, these tiny vermillion newts, as they wander through the moss and loam. To what others might seem dank to me is exhilarating, but for even those who might be intimidated by this opening, give it just a bit of time for the dry down to reveal itself. It transitions into this beautifully moorish musk, ensconced in premium powder, the slightest waxiness, animal undertones, with echoes of the earth and astringency folded into sheets of sandalwood. What at once seems feral now purrs, albeit seductively, detectable as an aura for hours, likely leaving you smelling like the sexiest man (or woman) of the woods, treading the line between the clean and the dirty.

Like many of you, I too discovered Acampora’s Musc through Katie Puckrik. Indeed, as she attests, this potion is magical, sexy, magically sexy. At first dab/spray, it’s all musky, loamy, earthy—yes, mushrooms (!!!) on a forest’s floor. But wait—this must contain some eye of newt and/or toe of frog—it’s as if a witch has conjured this liquid to life! As Musc takes form during its wear, you find yourself no longer in the wooded forest depths, but emerging into a clearing: gleaming brightness, the scent of a musky, herbal soap. A truly beloved, but beguiling, fragrant journey.

this is going to be in my heavy rotation. It smells like my friend Flora, we don’t talk anymore but she always smelled so specific like flowers and b.o. and musk and I could never figure it out. But this is the smell! I wonder if this is what she wore... mushrooms on the dance floor is pretty accurate. It’s like if a really hot man was dancing at the clurb for 3.5 hours and then rubbed some really good mushrooms into his pits followed by some powder, but not like gross baby powder. Anyway it smells amazing to me! Love

The first time I tried this i thought it was a boring patchouli but idk what I was thinking. I can't stop sniffing myself when I have this on, and this is one of the few perfumes I've tried that doesn't make me sneeze or feel itchy after a while. Even my mom who claims to hate musc likes it. Definitely toes a clean/dirty line but I feel like it comes out on the clean side and it smells amazing on clothes for days afterwards. I'm thinking I'll try to layer this with a light sweeter or watery scent sometime.

As a woman, I love this on myself. While it's not a clean musk, it's not a skanky kind of dirty either. More of an earthy, literal dirt-y musk. It is my comfort scent, my come closer scent, my good girl gone sexy scent. Stays close and holds on for hours and hours. Not your average masculine smelling drugstore musk, rather a gentle, sophisticated and feminine perfection. An essential fragrance for any musk lovers collection. Scent 9/10 Sillage - close with a slight waft Longevity- 10 hours plus

A woody, spicy and creamy musk. Very gently animalic, slightly powdery. Not completely a skin scent. I can smell it 3-4 inches away from my skin. This is the perfect scent to wear to bed. I can also see a sensual yet introverted lady making this her signature. There is a slight sweetness to the composition, it is very pleasant indeed. Nine hours after application I still get gentle wafts of scent coming up from my chest, so pleasurable!.

I absolutely love this scent. It opens a bit mushroomy (or like fresh yeast), but quickly settles into a slightly sweet musk. It stays pretty close to your skin but warms up on your skin just enough for a few people to give you a few compliments. I do also love wearing it to bed. I find it absurdly sexy and very different from anything I have in my collection. Must try, but not for everyone.

Perfectly earthy, in a low-key way. I'm guessing it's clever use of violet leaf and patchouli that makes it fresh-mushroomy & loamy but not at all perfumey. Like the actual smell of forest floor, this is a smell I associate with childhood, and with comforting male relatives. It's also got a bit of a 'gardener's glove' leather feel, which I also like. Pity it's so expensive.

agreed with the reviewer below who cites big patchouli. i smelled it and was blown away by how much it smells like dirt and mushroom - wow, how did they do it? how was it accomplished? then recognized patchouli and came back down to earth with it. settles into a cozy, powdery musk, then smells like clean laundry on clothes next day. beautiful.

This is just stunning. Definitely not a safe blind buy as this is not a scent for everyone. I opens up more fresh and earthy musk, but when it dries down and starts to combine with your own skin scent it becomes the most beautiful earthy, mushroomy, musky scent. It is very sexy to me but in a raw sexy instinct way. A masterpiece!

Opens with the smell of warm soil and fresh mushrooms. The mushroom fades quickly. Musk, sandalwood and a slight waft of rose. A dewy red wine rose. It is clean yet dirty. Long lasting and sits close to the skin. Bruno Acampora’s Musc captured the smell of nature at it’s sexiest.

Also this is my parfume and my signature smell. Its the best musk in the world in my opinion. I hope i can bath one day in musk of accampora so it can be my second skin. Love love love

It is the best musc perfume I’ve ever had ♥️

I really don't get the hype. This is one of those "better than skin scents" that you have to try really, really hard to feel on yourself, so basically this makes this a scent for others around you. As much as this concept might be simply amazing for some people, I don't really get it - I want to feel what I'm wearing and I'm wearing my perfume just for myself. Ok, about the scent itself - the opening and most of the heart part brings resemblance of dirt and mashrooms, as gross as it might sound, it actually is rather comforting. As someone who dislikes most overly musky scents, I even appreciated the earthyness and naturalness of this "Musc". It feels just right. So I might have the problem with not the musk itself, but the syntethic stuff that's being put in many bases of perfume. As for the "Musc" development - mashrooms are being tamed down in the dry down and I'm left with a lingering scent of my own skin, but enhanced with natural warmness. It is good, but as I have a problem with wearing scents I don't feel myself or those what are not REALLY perfume, but are supossed to just enchance the smell of you skin, I'll pass. I surely wouldn't mind having people around me wear this all the time. I for one will stand out with my loud and weird perfumes.

I got my sample due to Katie Puckrick's glowing review. This is indeed a classy true Musc perfume, highly recommend those wanting a timeless elegant Musc, that lasts and lasts! This is a perfect night time scent! When i put it on the first thing i thought of was " Ohh perfect for a romantic night" Imagine Wearing this on a classy evening by candle light with your lover. Initially there is an earthy note, woody & mossy, yes i pick up that mushroomy kind of note only inititialy, but its sweet, natural, gentle and earthy. Perfectly well done perfume. A must try for genuine musk lovers, its Unisex for sure!

I am a musk lover. From drugstore to high end. Bruno Acampora's Musc has the same bones as say, Coty Wild Musk, but there is an undertone of mushroom. I can't put it any better than that. My mental thesaurus fails me for nicer words than "mushroom-like". It smells like slightly soiled skin. Not sweat (ala Molinard Musc) but earth. Like someone's hands after they've been gardening.

Blind bought based on all the good reviews and the hype. Not that musky at all. Avoid getting sucked into the hype if you are someone like me who loves very musky scents. This is much more a powdery, musty sandalwood than anything else. Look into Musc Tonkin instead. Very cool packaging and brand image though.

Very pretty, yet, I prefer a dirtier, skankier musk. This isn't it. That being said, being a gardener, I like that earthy, "wet dirt" mushroomy smell, but that doesn't last very long, unfortunately. Definitely one that could be worn confidently by both men and women.

I have read a lot of good reviews about this scent before I got a chance to smell it. I have researched it through and through on all sites. Finally, I made it to the Scent Bar in person to smell it and walked away with a sample. When I got to savor it at home, immediately, it reminded me of how my grandfather used to smell: his clothes, his after shave, his aura overall. It was a comforting smell to me. Having digged about the fragrance further, I found an explanation. It was developed in the 1975, a few years before I was born. I was born in Europe and the fragrance was developed in Italy. So, I guess such notes were popular in those days. The fragrance is classy but to me it is a bit dated. A gem from a bygone era. Soothing, warm, comforting.

It starts as bland as possible. Musky (not heavy musk, but not completely transparent), vaguely powdery, vaguely woody, vaguely rosy, vaguely clean. Not bright, not heavy. No notes jump out. Just bland. After a couple hours, it warms up nicely, more sandalwood, a lot of resemblance to clean-but-not-soapy skin, very slight salty nuance which adds to that. A "my-skin-but-better" scent, with only intimate sillage - a skin scent in every sense. It also reminds me of the smell of electronics overheating - odd, but not unpleasant. It is very neutral, very unisex, and hard to hate, the kind of scent you want to wear if you don't want to smell like perfume or offend those around you. I would spray this on clothes that have been lingering in my dresser too long and get a stale smell, to make them smell more lived-in without interfering with whatever scent I'm wearing. But it doesn't have enough personality for me to wear it otherwise.

The opening is a loud sandalwood and clove mixture on my skin. Very masculine and then it settles down after an hour or so into a slightly musky wood vibe with some rose. Musk is their but not the dominant note. It sorta has an old school gentlemen like vibe which is really not my thing. I have a sample vial and it easily lasts over 8 hours with low to average sillage.

I don't know why I thought I would like this. I guess I was just curious. It does indeed smell like a musky (musty?!) mushroom. If you enjoy smelling like humus, go for it.

I smelled a sample from luckyscent. My advice is to definitely sample this first, because for 135 USD for 50 mL I would have been quite dissappointed. It doesn't smell bad. No, really. I can't see how anyone would think this smells bad. The opening is very dank, wet, and earthy- I don't KNOW what mushrooms smell like but if I had to take a guess... yep that's it. The heart takes a while as it heats up on your skin but... I can see how some people find this smell very sensual. It just smells like having your face burried in someone you love in a sexual way. However, I don't find this sexy. I'm certainly not dropping my panties for any guy in it, at least. For the 30 or 40 something woman, though, this is a SEXPOT of a fragrance. Those who smell you will definitely be close, and want to stay close to you in all your kinky gloriousness. I could see how if your s/o wore this fragrance, you would get a strong scent memory of them. I don't feel that way about a lot of fragrances, even my favorites. Your special someone will definitely remember your smell and this scent is so obscure they'll never smell anything quite like it. Sexy? Yeah, but only to someone who is already having sex with you. This smell is too close to skin, too much LIKE skin to be picked up from even someone standing 3 feet in front of you. But if you're having a hanky panky and your partner takes a deep breath, gee will you leave an impression. A sexy imprint on their mind. I suppose it's a scent with a specific purpose that, as someone young & a virgin (yeah I went there!), I don't really need. 3.5/5

Indeed very fungal and earthy. A very unusual but compelling musk. It's a bit astringent in the opening but mellows out quickly after. A bit powdery, maybe a bit of sandalwood here and there. I don't necessarily smell any rose or vanilla at first glance but there is a faint sweetness in the back which is sometimes hard to pinpoint. Smells of soil, fungi, talcum powder.....not something which sounds pleasant. Despite all of this however, it's easy to wear and fairly unique. The musk is obviously the star of the show and even though the fungal aspect might throw some people off at first, the longer it sits on your skin the better it gets. It feels like a second skin, at least to me. There is just something so interesting about the musk in this that it's hard to describe. Performance is decent for this type of scent. Overall, an unusual but intriguing musk scent, with slight woody, powdery and sweet undertones which definitely should be sampled by fans of the genre. 8/10

a complex non-linear musk first 5-10 mins it's very delicately sweet & soft, makes me think of flowers in a grassy woodland meadow, there's a flash of soapy notes but they do not linger next it evolved into hay & sweet grass, a little bit of a currant & dried fruit vibe, waxy lipstick & leather, maybe iris? after 10 mins - this perfume doesn't sit on a single note,it changes from one minute to the next, now it's alternating between a soapy musk then back to the dried fruits & fresh hay corner as the heart settles in more it turns into classic musk - shaving cream scent longevity - 12+ hours using half of a .7 mL sample projection - it seemed to project loudly to me, it continually radiated within an arms length it stayed in my flannel jacket for a month...

Musc edp has an aftershavy vibe - a quite pleasant woody musky/earthy quality, with the florals in the background. I'd consider using it as room spray, it's obviously synthetic since it's musk, not ambergris or ambrette or of course any banned animal musks, and since musk is the main idea here, it smells like - synthetic musk! Surprise. It's more woody/dry than for example Narciso Rodriguez's Musk for Her. It reminds me of a kind of chain 'art hotel' - taupe, tall arrangements of sparse branches in glass cyliders, low lighting, super chic, soulless, not my thing really It definitely reminds me of those incense sticks dipped in synthetic fragrance and allowed to permeate a room, most likely a mediocre gallery or public space. Underwhelmed

This is a primal, moist and loam-y Musk with a capital M. I'd read reviews of it and I like musks, but I wasn't prepared for how earthy and primal it would be. Very unisex. Raw. Great when you are looking for a real musk and not one dressed up. If you're into more gentrified musk (like Malle's Musc Ravageur, which I also love) then this might be too dirty for you. This is expensive, but it's also feral. One word of caution, I like musks in oil form but got this one as EDP because I wanted a lighter version. I have dry skin and this fades on me quickly in summer. The faint clove note lingers longer but if you prefer musk in oil format, go with your instinct and get the oil.

Its Official!!! Im falling in love with this stuff.Fisrt time I tried it I thought "whats the big deal" But I have been wearing every day for the last week and now love it so much.I will not bother to mention notes,you can look em up yourself,but the entire life of this scent is musc.Starting with a strong and slightly sweet musc,then slowly changing into a mild flowery musc,then a little warmer and spicier musc,ending with a creamy woody musc..On me it lasts about 8 hours with mild projection.But as im walking around I constantly get wafts of this scent all around me.Very comforting,sexy,clean,and addictive

Very soft musk, it is nice, polite, gentle, subdued. I love when musks are really present, sensual, bold but not necessary in your face. And this is not the case. For some reason I see this one better on a man than on a woman, mainly because I would find it sexier to smell it on a guy. Maybe because it lacks a bit more on the feminine side of sexy. Very, very minimal projection and sillage. The earthy mushroom-y part of the start lasts only for a few minutes at the most, nothing to be worried about. Overall nice, but nothing to loose your head and heart over it.

Bruno Acampora is a good girl gone bad. I mean that in a complimentary way. If you took the fragrance of Brussels Sprouted and pressure washed the minty green accord, you will then get Bruno Musc. At times, I found this to be slightly sweaty, comfortably skanky but all so sweet. If you took the musk out the equation, the next prominent note would probably be the vanilla. Not necessarily my kind of fragrance because I require the kind of special effects that would make Michael Bay blush.

incredible musk scent, at first dab I thought a little more femine, but the dry down has changed my mind. very light sweet smelling musky scent that does seem to evolve to a more masculine smell, at least to me it does. I could see this smelling wonderful on anyone really, high kudos on this one. got a sample from lucky scent. and considering a purchase. two thumbs or noses up I should say. right up there with the best musk scents I have discovered.

What a weird shifter! I was horrorized when I first smelled it...it smells like a bag of mushrooms and top soil. What the heck? I sprayed on my skin just to "see if something improves" well...somehow it transforms into a very chic and feminine powdery scent, that is just pretty and like nothing else that I have. I really can't describe the scent, it becomes a powdery/ambery violet with some sort of spice in it? Love this mushroom.

It is indeed full of contrasts - subtle yet powerful - dirty, yet clean - masculine yet feminine - earthy, yet fluffy? I find truth in every review written below mine, but you have to try it for yourself to understand it.

I'm a musk lover - clean, dirty, animalic, I love 'em all. This is nice, but it doesn't blow my mind. I find it to be very subdued on my skin, and I am NOT one of those people who complains about "weak" perfumes. I can see the appeal. It's soft, warm, spicy. Pretty masculine I think. It's just not moving me. And the price! My goodness. 3/5

I love this musk! It's unique and not a "pure" musk.I can smell the mushroomy opening,the violet and possibly patch with the musk but none of the notes overpowers the overall "musk" effect.It smells clean and pretty and not so spicy on me. I think it would make a great signature scent for those who search one.

I got a sample of Musc from Luckyscent on a whim today. It reminds me nothing so much as waking up camping, with the dew on the leaves, things growing, sunlight coming in through the tent, and that scent on your skin after a night or two in the woods. Heavenly!

This immediately reminded me of Lancôme Magie Noir but without any sweetness. I thought of oak moss right away. Honestly I’m not getting much musc. I see how ppl say it smells loamy or like mushrooms, it for sure does! Smells like oak moss but not as crisp.

I really wanted to love this but LORD is it fungal. The mushroom aroma will eventually fade into something resembling the unwashed armpit of a virile young man. Sadly, I can picture some pervert huffing this as a erotic aid.
